Pro-tip: park on the side street behind Fairfax. You're not gonna find a meter spot on Fairfax anyways during the day, so don't bother.
A La carte, sweet chick is pricey, but is definitely a notch above all those other fast-food fried chick joints.
Ordered crinkle-cut fries and a classic hot-Nashville chick sandwich.
For 20$ without a drink , these are indeed inflation 2023 prices , but does the quality justify it?
I'd submit mostly 'yes.'
The Nashville chick sandwich is very basic. Most Nashville chick sandwiches have sauce spread in the buns , pickles, and some zesty slaw. This sandwich is topped only with a few pickles.
Basic, but in-focus is the actual taste of the patty. The heat-factor spicy hot blend is perfectly blended into the outer layer buy it's palatable fried hide.
It's crispy, yet juicy -- all at the same time.
The patty has a structure of uniformity and symmetry, and no side of the chicken is grossly enlarged or disproportionate to its bun.
It's spicy, but you can have fun for it, and yes it will since your taste buds, but the taste doesn't linger such that you have to consume large quantities of water and it becomes displeasurable.
The Crinkle cut fries are okay. Wish they had some chipotle hot mayo for it, but whatever.
