Google
An Island Gem! This charming spot is one of my favorite island finds. Their sandwiches and quiches are always delicious—thoughtfully made and full of flavor. The bakery case is consistently stocked with homemade, freshly baked, tempting treats that are hard to resist. There’s plenty of easy parking, and the outdoor seating is just lovely: sweet little iron tables nestled among potted flowers, perfect for soaking up the sunshine and relaxing with something tasty. 🌸☀️ Highly recommended!

Google
Only had outdoor seating, but the weather was decent. Got there late morning and the pastry selection was limited to a few random donuts. But the Cubano Panini was good heated on the grill press.

Google
We were visiting the island and we googled this bakery place. It sent our expectations. They have the most fresh sandwiches, soups and donuts. The owner was super friendly and all of her staff and gave us recommendations on where to go on the island of best lobster roll. They also had the best coffee that did not elevate your heart beat.. will be coming again soon.

Google
I had a great time with Sweet Dahlia catering a Bridal Shower. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful!! Chris, Stacey, and the whole team was awesome to work with, would absolutely recommend!

Sara Nell D.

Google
Sweet Dahlia did a fabulous job of catering our event—delicious sandwiches on wonderful rolls, and good salads, especially the tabbouleh. Very easy to work with. My husband and I love their Cubano sandwiches.

Google
Amazing! The best sandwiches I'd had in a long while. Great cookies. Friendly and awesome staff.

Google
Stopped here on our way from the ferry up north, was looking for a place with sandwiches and found heaven! Sandwiches, pastries, soups, everything you can think of! And it was all amazing! Had the maple bacon doughnut, as well as a couple other kinds, the BLT sandwiches are off the chart amazing! Was sad that it was gone after I ate it! Wish we could come here every day but we live in a different state! Thank you!!!

Google
What an amazing and cute shop! It smells amazing and everything was fresh. The doughnuts for sure were my favorite! If you are in the area you need to check this place out!

Yelp
This bakery is in a light industry center off the beaten path. I'm glad we had Apple Maps to get us there or we would not have found it! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The baked goods were quite good even though they had a small selection. We enjoyed a ham, cheese and jalapeño danish and a veggie Panini. Just for good measure, we got an apple fritter which transported us back to our childhoods. We had a very enjoyable time, setting out the sun and eating it in front of the bakery. Definitely worth the hassle of finding.

Yelp
Unassuming location and storefront, but they have the absolute best tomato bisque on the planet! Would love to get the recipe please!!! Espresso brownie was very good. The only thing keeping us from giving this place a 5 is that the grilled cheese sandwich could have been tastier, and it was quite small.

Yelp
Great spot to grab lunch to go on a picnic. Lots of yummy bakery stuff. It's a local favorite. Not super busy like the town bakeries. If you want something delicious for your picnic this is the place for you.

Yelp
Sweet Dahlia is a local gem. For the past 6 years I've been "work neighbors" with Sweet Dahlia and have had the pleasure of getting to know the people behind their delicious food offerings. The food is always fresh and they use quality ingredients. My kids love the donuts. The ambrosia macaroons are to die for, but all their goodies are remarkable and made with love. Cubano sandwich is my fav, but you can't go wrong with anything. They also go above and beyond to accomodate my dietary needs, which I am always so appreciative of. If you haven't stopped in, go now! The only thing that's better than the food are the people behind the food.

Yelp
This place is so good i just stopped in and got a halloween themed doughnut. The food was so wonderful and sweet. Plus very good service as well.

Yelp
Home town favorite! If you know you know. This is where locals go and the staff are amazing. Don't rush just enjoy this sweet slice of Island life.

Yelp
One word - FLIES! We came on a Saturday afternoon at 5 pm. The doors were open so we walked right in. There were items like quiche and salads in a refrigerated case on the right. A spread of baked goods were behind a plexiglass screen: donuts, bars, cookies, and rice crispies. They cookies looked good but then we immediately noticed 2 flies sitting on a chocolate chips cookie. Other flies were swarming around. I told the gal behind the counter, "there are flies on your cookies". she just waved them away. Apparently, flies landing on exposed food only bothered us and not her. We also noticed a dead fly partially submerged in a glazed donut. It must have gotten stuck when the glaze was still warm. We probably should have just left. Our judgement was clouded because we drove a long way to check out this 5-star Yelp review place. We got the Seran wrapped peanut butter rice crispies, a bar, and an oatmeal cookie. After she grabbed the top cookies, I asked if I can have the second one instead. We plan to microwave the bar before eating. Basic food health protocols were ignore by Sweet Dahlia Baking. We will never return again.

Yelp
18 outside and the perfect time for some Vegetarian Chili. It made my tummy smile on the inside while the warm staff made me smile on the outside. Definitely worth the trip off the beaten path.

Yelp
What a LOVELY experience. Fresh and varying menu each week. Sometimes it's best to go in and see the amazing salads, sandwiches, etc that aren't always listed on their menu. Last year? As a small business owner with minimal employees during Covid? The owners were kind enough to bring my order to my shop . Just know. Good people. Good food. Give it a try.

Audrey W.

Yelp
What a find! Our sandwiches were made with in-house made bread with fresh ingredients. Delicious flavors in every bite. Even the kids loved what they got. Stacey made them special BLTs and grilled cheese. We sat outside on the patio and there was a steady stream of locals that came through. Stacey was so kind and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place!

Yelp
It's a wonderful little spot and has options for our whole family (including wheat free). The service is great/friendly.

Yelp
My husband and I visited this restaurant/bakery on Saturday and were blown away by the quality of the food. I enjoyed their quiche (huge selection by the way), a gluten free peanut butter cookie, and a bite of my husband's Portuguese doughnut called a malassada, which was so delicious that he bought an extra to go! The gluten-free selection is limited, but is definitely good quality. They do have pour-over drip coffee, which takes awhile, so if you're in a hurry, skip the coffee. We will return to try the lasagna and delicious looking salads and sandwiches. There were lots of freshly baked doughnuts too. It is a walk-up without indoor seating, but there are a few outdoor tables available. Lots of parking. The staff are super friendly!

Yelp
Being new to the area, I look for reviews to search out and explore new places. Finding this bakery on Yelp and reading the fabulous reviews, I decided to see for myself. It is located in a business park, of sorts. I would have never found it if I didn't have the directions. It looks rather new, with several other businesses in the area; distillery, pizza, coffee, etc. The bakery is quite small with no inside seating. There were 1-2 cafe tables outside, but you are sitting right in front of cars parking in the lot. There were a few people in line when I arrived, which I considered a good sign. I was a little disappointed in the lack of products. I arrived early afternoon, so perhaps the early bird catches the worm here. I noticed most people ordered coffee or coffee and pastry. I was taking mine to-go and opted for the Texas Pecan Pie bar. It was tasty, albeit a bit dry. They had various items in a cooling frig, potato/pasta salads, and such. However, the prices were a bit high considering. There was a posted sign apologizing for the increase in prices due to the national uptick in prices overall. The woman who assisted me was kind and efficient. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, although if I were local, I might stop in and try my luck.

Yelp
You must find this sweet little bakery when you visit Bainbridge Island! The sweets are amazing but my favorite dish is the polenta lasagna! The crew there is small and friendly. Orders are to go, so pick up on your way to he beach or hike.

Ale P.

Yelp
It's a yes for us. Found this little gem on Yelp and since it has good reviews we tried it. Homemade donuts, light, soft and fluffy. Sandwiches were so good; perfect amount of everything: Mayo, cheese, pickles. toasted well. Vegetarian Quiché was amazing, very creamy and the ingredients went well. The only negative about the quiche.. it was a bit burnt on the outside. Outdoor seating or to go orders. Breakfast lunch or dinner, with variety of food items.

Yelp
They have the best treats, cookies, donuts, etc on Bainbridge. My favorite is the peanut butter rice krispy treat. So good!!
google avatar

Yelp
The baked goods are super yummy and the service is always friendly and helpful. The weekend Dinner Club has become our go-to every week and is consistently DELICIOUS. If you sign up (you don't have to), they text the menu on Wednesday and can easily order online. I believe the dinners are easy to get walking in as well. We look forward to their delicious, family-friendly meals! So easy to re-heat and serve!

Yelp
We ordered the BBQ ribs Dinner and Polenta Lasagna for Memorial Day. The food was 5 Star, easy cleanup with the parchment paper that was provided. The ribs we perfectly smoked and so meaty, almost no bones! Topped off with delicious BBQ sauce and 3 perfectly prepared sides of potato salad, coleslaw and mini cornbread loaf. Our vegetarian in the family absolutely loves the polenta lasagna and orders it often due to it being on the menu almost all of the time. Bravo Sweet Dahlia Baking!!! We love your Dinner Club.

Yelp
I had the pizza Pockets, breakfast pesto artichoke pocket (ah-mazing!!) and bunt cake with whiskey infused frosting. So delicious. Also, sampled the brownies and they were delightful. But I had to be choosy and take home only 1 dessert. Next time Im in town, I will be back!

Yelp
This is my most FAVORITE place to get lunch and a treat on all of Bainbridge. Joanna and Stacy are incredibly wonderful and I love visiting every week. They have dinner specials as well and it's absolutely worth every penny. Also, their cupcakes are to DIE FOR (offered during dinner). This is a visit you MUST mark off when you visit here.

Yelp
I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite lunch places here on the Island. The staff is so friendly and so willing to answer questions about what the items are made with. Everything is homemade and fresh everyday which is so nice. They have a dinner menu every Thursday and Friday that is always different and you can either pick it up HOT or cold so you can heat it at home. My favorite things to get here are the Pesto Turkey sandwich and the peanut better Rice Krispy treats, sooo good! The way they brew their coffee is different as well, you can always get a hot cup that isn't burnt like at Starbucks! I would love to see them in a larger place for more seating options. It would be a great place to have a luncheon with your friends if the seating was bigger. All around a fantastic food a service!

L C.

Yelp
Absolutely beyond delicious with so many options. Love the take out dinners. Our go to from, scrumptious polenta lasagna to the best Apple Fritter that we have ever had. Couple all of this with a welcoming staff and fresh flower bouquets we have fallen in love with this Island gem.
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
Absolutely rude front counter girl. Would have liked to have tried more but her personality drove us right out the front door! First rude experience in Washington! Would not recommend unless owner works on helping her staff with communication and customer service skills!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches and baked goods and cheerful friendly staff. Outdoor seating in sun or shade. Great place for a quick bite or sweet treats.

Yelp
If you are on this island you need to come here. I ordered a Turkey Pesto sandwich & hands down it was the best I've ever had. My wife ordered a tuna melt & she agrees it is hands down the best. The owner is super nice & the prices are super reasonable. This place is a gem!

Yelp
Wow what a find! Now open for Breakfast and Lunch. Homemade sandwiches. I'll be back!

Yelp
I have only eaten their baked goods from QFC and have not visited their location on Bainbridge. However, the Texas Pecan Pie bar is off the hook! So good! Portable pecan pie, what more could you want?
google avatar

A.J. S.

Yelp
I found them on Yelp to tell everybody how amazing their Candied Ginger molasses cookie is. Its THAT good, guys. Chewy with huge pieces of candied ginger mixed in? Did I mention its the size of my head? Insanely great. I think I'm going to order a bunch for an upcoming birthday or work event. Holy yum.* *This probably sounds like they paid me, so to be fair, it was unfortunately 3 dollars for a cookie (the size of my head tho!!!). There. See? Not paid. Just obsessed.
google avatar

Tammi M.

Yelp
I tried one of The Texas Pecan bars while browsing the Farmers Market this morning and I'm hooked. I just scrambled to my computer to find out how I can get more before I go back to Portland tomorrow! Thank you for creating such fantastic goodies.... I'm stopping by your shop in the morning to stock up!

Amy F.

Yelp
What a treasure we have on Bainbridge Island in Sweet Dahlia Bakery! From pastries and sandwiches to soups and delicious home style dinners, they never disappoint. We've become weekly patrons of their Thursday-Friday dinner club, with a different menu each week. Swedish meatballs. Pork loin. Meatloaf. Hand pies (tonight it's corned beef and cabbage hand pie!). Salmon with blackberry glaze. Lasagna. So many wonderful dishes, and every week there's a vegetarian option and a wheat-free option. And the desserts! Double chocolate cheesecake made with Guinness is waiting for me as I type this. Don't miss a stop at this gem off Sportsman's Club Road, in the Coppertop Loop development. Just leave afritter for me.

Yelp
I love sweet dahlia bakery! I go here for all my sweet cravings or when I'm needing a delicious lunch! Great people, great food, convenient location!

Dan G.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed their desserts and pastries but tonight we did their dinner club: Portuguese chicken and vegetables! Hands-down one of the most delicious meals I've had since quarantine :)
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
My wife and I were in the area and found Sweet Dahlia Baking's new retail space. We have seen and purchased their baked goods on The Washinton State Ferries and at QFC, so we were glad to be able to visit there shop. Being big fans of there baked goods already, we had heard via their Facebook page that Friday and Saturday nights they sell dinners to go. Friday night we took away two freah chicken pot pies and a wonderful salad to go. We weren't going directly home so Chris, the lead Cheif & Baker prepare the pies in such a way that we could put them together when we got home for the best experience & taste. We also did our share of tasting diffent items with some pour over coffee, what a treat, super nice people!

Yelp
This is definitely my favorite bakery ever. I love everything they make. I like to give it as gifts too. When ever I buy one thing I buy at least three extra to give as gifts. So yummy.

Edward M.

Yelp
Tonight we had dinner from Sweet Dahlia Baking, and it was very good. We had a perfectly cooked Cornish game hen with delicious sauce served with wild rice and roasted mixed vegetables. We also finished with a delicious small orange cake with lavender frosting. We have eaten dinner a few times at Sweet Dahlia and every time it's been very good, we will be going back again soon. Joanna and Stacy do a great job and we love visiting with them.

Donna K.

Yelp
I love this bakery because it has the best pastries, donuts and of course amazing cookies. It has so much more, if you haven't had lunch there you need to go. That's when I found out about dinner club. So easy to swing by and pick up dinner. You gotta go.

Kim U.

Yelp
I discovered Sweet Dahlia baked goods at the Poulsbo Farmers Market a few years ago. I always feel a little guilty about spending more money on baked goods than on fresh fruit and vegetables, but these treats are SOOO good, that the guilt wears off rather quickly. Favorites in my home are the Butterscotch Macademia Nut bar, the Candied Ginger Molasses cookie and my favorite is the Texas Pecan Pie bar. I just sampled their new gluten-free peanut butter cookie today and it was marvelous. I will get to the market earlier next week in order to get my hands on a couple of them.

Darrylandjody S.

Yelp
The highlight on biweekly trip to Central Market Poulsbo is picking up a package of your AMAZING bars. The lemon coconut and carmelita are the top of list, but OMG the Texas Pecan Pie Bar was off the charts yummy. The size is perfect for us senior citzens. Not that we wouldn't like to over indulge. Everything you guys create is #1
