The Best Bakeries in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"If you’re looking for brownies shaped like reindeer or Taylor Swift cookies (yes, really), then Sweet Dee’s is the place for you. The fun and festive bakeshop is constantly coming up with inventive and unique designs for their offerings, but the thoughtfully decorated pieces do not lack in flavor. You can still find many straightforward sweets here as well, from muffins to pies and cake pops, that are as beautiful as they are delicious." - McConnell Quinn

I would not recommend this shop for cakes. I ordered a 4-inch round cake for a birthday, specifically requesting vintage piping and gold accents. What I received looked rushed and poorly executed. The piping was messy, the overall presentation was sloppy, and the writing appeared as if it were done by someone with little to no cake decorating experience. Considering the cake cost around $65, I expected a much higher level of quality. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. You would be better off saving your money and ordering from Walmart.

Have been a longtime customer for years! Love the Harry Potter, Taylor swift & holiday themed treats that taste as amazing as they look. The apple cider donuts in the fall were out of this world & sugar cookies are top tier.

Google
Pastries are amazing but don’t recommend the cakes… I’d rate 5 star for pastries typically because the bakery aspect is amazing, I’ve always loved the sweet treats! However was pretty disappointed with this cake order. Ordered for my parent’s 25th wedding anniversary and sent many pictures of the cake we wanted to recreate from their wedding. Had a very long phone call explaining exactly what we wanted and was eager to get the cake believing it would be amazing just like all the desserts I’ve had before. It was a simple white frosted banana cake with a bow on the front that wrapped around the edges. The cake in reality tasted like vanilla not banana, the cake was dense, no filling only frosting. The bow was not well constructed, looked unfinished and too big(see picture of top of cake), and wasn’t anything like the inspo pictures. On top of that my sister had to wait over 30 minutes after arriving because it was not ready at the pickup time. Would have said this in person however I had my sister pick this up due to them closing at 2:00 and I work a 9-5. Sad to disappoint my parents and likely won’t order a cake here again. Want to reiterate this is not my typically experience here however I just wanted to post that this may not be the place to order a cake. Still highly recommend their pastries.

We got a cake & macaroons for my friend Bach / birthday and they were AMAZING! The cake was so cute & perfect! The macarons were so delicious and everyone loved the rainbow design!

Where do I even start.... I sent an email about a month ago to customer order a vintage heart cake for my birthday. SweetDee's has all this hype on social media, so I thought it would be amazing! This place, cake, customer service, everything is bad. I asked for a Chocolate, Cream and Cherry, German Black Forest cake and got a Chcocolate and Coconut Cake. The cake itself was not cute, I think a child could write numbers better then their business can. We cut it open, it looked dry already and the if you put the frosting on your finger it crumbled into bits. I sent an email, left a voicemail. Never got a call back, so I called during business hours to go back and fourth with the owner about what our emails said. She didn't even bother apologizing until I repeated myself 3 times, I already had sent an email with pictures. Then she apologized, tried to explain what a German cake is multiple times. She said their was confusion on flavoring, but they never reached out for clarity or asked any further questions/ sent an email. She also said she would call me back, didn't do that either. For $91.00 after taxes, would you pay for this? Not to mention it's an hour drive. I arrived an hour before the cake was supposed to be ready; to eat there and try their coffee. They said they cake wasn't even ready yet. lol. Take your time, business and birthday's somewhere else.

Google
Quite frankly very disappointed with the cake I ordered for my birthday. When I first came in, they told me I couldn’t order a small cake because they wouldn’t be able to write anything on it so I got the medium cake for a hefty $150 which I was more than happy to pay for. Picked up the cake yesterday and the writing “a Tini bit older” was really bad, sloppy, barely legible and clearly regretted not getting the small cake with nothing on it. (And no it’s not just a distinct calligraphy style, it is poor craftsmanship) I would have not written a review if the cake had been really good but it was extremely dry (dare I say almost stale?), hard to cut (even though it was out for 2 hours), the earl grey flavor was so faint you could have never guessed it. So disappointed considering how beautiful the cakes look on their social media. What I ordered vs what I got in the pics.

Google
For my son’s first birthday I ordered a cake, dozen cupcakes and macarons. While the macarons were great, I feel my cake a cupcakes were stale? None of my guest touched their cake and the kids literally only took one bite and left the rest. Everyone said it was hard and flavorless. Beautiful design but poor quality for the price I paid.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give this place 20 stars, I would! Let me tell you something... I live way up in North Peoria, and I drove nearly 40 minutes to get to Sweet Dee’s in Scottsdale — and YES, it was 1000% worth every second of the drive! The treats here? On. Another. Level. We’re talking flavor explosions in every bite. Unique, creative, and absolutely delicious. I didn’t just eat dessert — I experienced it. The kind of sweet magic that makes you close your eyes and go "mmmm" without shame in public. I was really hoping to meet Sweet Dee herself (a.k.a. the dessert wizard behind the curtain), but she wasn’t in when I visited. No worries... that just gives me a reason to go back. 😎 Bottom line: If you're even thinking about trying this place... do it. Take the drive. Cancel your plans. Bring Tupperware. You’ll thank me later. Sweet Dee’s = 10/10 (but really a 20/10 in my heart).

Yelp
The CUTEST themed desserts are here at Sweet Dee's! We've been here plenty of times for the Star Wars drop they do every May. We had a pick-up order ready this past weekend to get from Gilbert. The store itself is quite small, so you have to wait a bit outside if it's busy, but it is VERY cute inside. They have some seating inside and out, and I think a pick-up window during the summer months. The breakfast sandwiches are VERY good here, and it's hard to order just ONE thing. Definitely worth coming by to pick up treats for the weekend or the fun events they do. My favorite things to get: Croque madame Breakfast sandwich Cookies Macarons Cupcakes

Yelp
My $16 club sandwich ($17 for gf bread) had 2 slices of processed turkey on it, 1slice of cheese, brown avocado and dirty arugula and pre-cooked bacon from Costco. Bread was slightly toasted. In theory a great place, but 2 lemonades 2 chocolate chip cookies, 1 sandwich and a gf lemon bar for $45.00 is a bit much for such poor quality in my opinion. Had high hopes for this place with gluten free options.

Yelp
I've visited Sweet Dee's for many years as I'm local to Scottsdale and even bought a cake for my daughter's birthday this past year (photo here of beautiful pink cake). I do however, have to comment on the overpriced Champagne Flute with mini macarons. Excessive and a total rip off at $7 each. I was expecting the mini part of this but the presentation was lame, dull, and totally disappointing. Basically I was given a plastic champagne glass from Dollar Tree with a few mini macarons. They could've been better presented with wisps of cotton candy or something and of the four I ordered, none of them came with the bow as advertised (I didn't realize this until I was home). I've frequently thought the various $7 and $8 sugar cookies in the case were pricey but this takes the cake (pun). Save your money so you won't be as disappointed as I am.

Yelp
Super tiny place. I was hoping to go to a place that I could sit down and chat with my daughter and her friend, but the few stools they have at a slim bar like top aren't very inviting. The treat are very cute though! I was getting a kick out of all the different desserts. They have a really talented macaron and baking artist, that's for sure. My daughter loved the chicken nugget cake pops. Not only did she say they were delicious, but the inside looked scary similar to actual meat, but tasted oh so sweet! lol. They also had a lemon cake that looked like a breakfast toast with egg and a huge macaron that looked like a cheeseburger. All in all, the desserts were cute and tasty and staff was pleasant. I would go back just to see all the new funky sweets they have.

Yelp
From the counter, the baked goods look great. Creative, unique and funny. But, sadly that is where the good part ends. We tried to order custom sugar cookies and it was going to be a 2.5 week lead time and I needed them the following week. Also, the delivery boxes/containers were boring. There were a few cute options but every time I asked about each of those containers the lady told me they weren't for sale. So why do you have them on display? We ordered something took one bite and it was way too sweet. Nope.
google avatar

Luann B.

Yelp
It is cute shop. They have a pretty good variety. The girl working was very nice and helpful. The bake good are ok. I will try them again to give them a second chance

Yelp
We had the opportunity to stop into Sweet Dee's last Sunday. It is decorated so adorably and the display cases were full of wonderfully decorated cookies, macaroons, cheesecakes and so much more. Lots of creativity here! Cotton candy cheesecake!! Margarita macaroons! And they had a whole Star Wars theme going as well as Cinco de Mayo cookies. Friendly service and our coffees and baked goods were in our hands in no time. My lavender latte was delicious and the margarita macaroon won me over. The perfectly decorated sugar Patron cookie was good - I personally like a little almond added to sugar cookies for some additional flavor, but I get that not everyone does this. I will be stopping by again because they have so much to try you can't experience it in one visit.

Yelp
Cute little bakery in old town Scottsdale. Girl, working upfront was helpful and helped me pick out a plethora of desserts. I ordered avocado toast which was pretty good.
google avatar

Valerie C.

Yelp
I've only been here twice as I don't live too close to old town Scottsdale, but my mom and I came here last month for an afternoon treat. I love that they always do different things for the holidays/seasons! I got a lemon blueberry donut and the Lover Lemonade, which was Taylor swift inspired sparkly lemonade! Both items were really good, it was hard to choose since everything looked so good. I also like that they make vegan and gluten free items as well. I will have to stop by again next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
I wish I could recommend this shop as I enjoy spending my money at small businesses, but the service and product that I received was not anything like I expected. My partner wanted to surprise me with a cake for my birthday today that I had picked out and when he commissioned the cake he was met with a very lackluster experience. They wouldn't accept any pictures of cake ideas and were very abrupt and short on the phone. When we picked up the cake, it wasn't even close to the color we asked for and the cake top and sides aren't even smooth as they didn't take the time to smooth out the buttercream completely. The lettering also looks funky and like they used multiple font types (some parts cursive, some not and other parts thicker) with random splotches of green on the white. It doesn't look like the quality of cakes that are posted on their social media accounts and is a damper on a special day, especially for the price.

Yelp
Sweet Dees Bakeshop was such a cool little bakery out here in Scottsdale. I was staying at hotel down the block and they had recommended this spot which was a very close walk even with it scorching hot outside. It wasn't too bad of a walk and it was really fun to see what they had in store. I had seen some of the fun pictures of cool cookie designs they've done in the past and when I walked in, I was very surprised. They have all these Taylor Swift themed pastries. I'm a huge Swifty and this was so cool. Unfortunately, I was flying out that day and there's no way they would have made the flight back. We ended up getting iced coffees instead and then continued on with our Scottsdale adventure. I got the Fresh Mint Iced Coffee which was really refreshing. My friend got the Birthday cake latte which she found a bit on the sweet side but still delicious. Everything is made to order and it was amazing. I do love all the themed pastries that they have and I'm sure they change it up all the time so I can't wait to see what they have in their future. The team here is really nice and what a cool spot to come to. I heard that the avocado toast is great here too.

Yelp
The croissant and cinnamon rolls were out of this world! Their cold foam is also delicious - it's much thicker than normal cold foam, almost a marshmallowy consistency. The service was great, they served a huge group of us for breakfast with smiles on the whole time! It is quite pricey but a good place to stop for a treat.

Yelp
I ordered a heart shaped cake for my daughter's graduation. We were all extremely disappointed when we cut into the cake and it was super dry, we couldn't even eat it. On top of that, I paid $150 for this cake. Sadly I will not be ordering from here in the future.
google avatar

Brittani R.

Yelp
First time ordering form here. Nice family owned bakery shop. Love the creative desserts and drinks that are on the menu. I ordered a custom raspberry champagne cake and custom sugar cookies for my daughter's 14th birthday. The cake and cookies turned out very pretty. I just wish the overall taste/texture of the cake was a little better. However if I'm ever in the area I will definitely stop for coffee or a cute pastry.

Richelle C.

Yelp
Ordered and paid in advance a month before a birthday for a cake. Called the day before to make sure all was in order and ready for pickup and they had no memory of my order, but said they could still finish it. Picked it up next day and the cake decorating was very nicely done. However, the cake was extremely dry (tasted a week old) and had very little taste. The cake filling was also not correct. I called the next day to make sure I got the correct order. The lady who answered my call was very rude on the phone, stating my taste palette was "meant for a box cake and not from scratch". And then proceeded to ask if I have ever made a cake. Overtly rude and unnecessary. I would suggest never ordering a custom cake from here for the flavor. A cake from the grocery store would be more moist than sweet Dee's.

Yelp
The prosciutto breakfast sandwich was legit so good!!! Great blend of egg, arugula, hashbrown and prosciutto!! Everyone here is really friendly. Very cute atmosphere, felt like being inside a warm hug!! Also, the baked goods look AMAZING!!! Love their GF options as well.
google avatar

Yelp
This bakery was good. We shared a cinnamon roll (they change flavors on these) we had the vanilla one I believe. My son and his girlfriend had the citrus one and RAVED about it. My husband and I had a breakfast sandwich and avocado toast. These were really good. The bakery was consistently busy and their baked goods were yummy!

Yelp
Super cute place to grab a breakfast and treat! Coffee is strong and perfectly sweet. I loved the Harry Potter themed treats! Service was friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful pastry and dessert case. I got a good look at it because I waited for 15 minutes with no one helping me. There was only one other person in the shop, and I finally left. I'm giving it five stars because I'm sure if I did get a chance to order it would have been delicious

Yelp
I found Sweet Dees on Instagram before visiting Scottsdale, and decided to come by the morning of my birthday for a couple treats - lucky for me that they also had some Taylor Swift treats in the case since I'm a huge fan. This little shop seems like the perfect little getaway in Old Town. It's cute, pink & kitchy - everything you want a bakeshop to be! I loved the merch they carried and their dessert case was very cute. The staff was also very sweet! Pro Tip: If you check in here on yelp you get 10% off! As for treats, we ordered a Raspberry Filled Heart Donut, Taylor Swift Cookie & Strawberry Funfetti Cupcake. The one star off is for the strawberry funfetti cupcake - I'm a huge cupcake person and was disappointed to find that this was still partially frozen. It was dry, crumbly and hard. I liked the strawberry flavor and the rich frosting but it was really ruined by the state of the cupcake. The highlight of the visit was the donut! I was not expecting it to be my favorite, but it blew me away. So fluffy, sugary and sweet without being overpowering. I would definitely come back for one of these and some coffee. The Taylor Swift cookies was your basic royal icing sugar cookie, but nothing wrong with that! I really enjoyed it, especially with ordering the other very sweet treats. Overall, definitely going to come back but probably wouldn't order cake/cupcakes here.

Yelp
A super cute and busy shop in Old Town Scottsdale. I've visited on Harry Potter's birthday to get some HP sweets like the cracked caked Hagrid made for Harry and some cookies with the Dealthy Hallows and House Crest. This time I went for Star Wars Day (also Carrie Frances Fisher Day) and bought themed cookies in the shape of Leia & Artoo, a cupcake with Boba Fett, a brownie with carbonite Han, a cheesecake with the Millennium Falcon, and a Death Star macaron! I told my friend about this place doing theme days and she went during the Taylor Swift Eras tour when they made cookies based on TS' albums. Awesome place to frequent and they have non-themed items always available too.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Seriously unimpressed. Stopped by because we saw some pretty treats on instagram. We were so excited to try only to be let down and make a huge mess in the car. Croissants were so dry and extremely messy. Macarons were hallow and hard and out $8 cookie had no flavor and more hard icing than cookie. Lattes were decent. Lemonade was super sour. Employees were super nice
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
Beautiful display of scrumptious desserts. There are cookies and macarons and muffins in interesting flavors. Stop in and browse.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
We visited during a theme weekend. Stopped into the store later in the day and there was hardly anything left in the case. That's on us. We ended up ordering one item and two coffees. The dessert item was broken when we received it. I put the broken pieces back together to try to get a photo. But the bigger disappointment was waiting over 30 minutes for coffee and seeing people that ordered drinks after you get their order before us. That's a problem. We had to go back up to then window and point out that we were waiting in drinks. Turns out that they just forgot to make them. If we hadn't already paid we would have just left. The desserts might be insta-worthy but the customer service and overall experience we were a fail in our book. Pass on this one unless you don't have other plans for the day and have time to waste waiting around for your order.

Yelp
Sweet Dee's Bakeshop was located right around the corner from my hotel. I was going to venture out for a craft coffee drink, but I saw that they made unique specialty drinks that piqued my interest. What a lovely bakeshop! As soon as I walked in I was hit with wonderful smell of roses. I have a major sweet tooth, and I couldn't help but appreciate the decadent desserts on display. Sweet Dee's had a huge variety, including pastries, donuts, bars, cheesecakes, macarons, etc. The cheesecakes particularly looked amazing. Wish I had the appetite to try the caramel stroopwafel cheesecake, but I just had a big breakfast. The crème brulee donut was eyeing me too, which I'll have to get next time I'm back in Scottsdale for work. I asked for the pistachio dirty chai, but I was informed that it was unavailable. Alternatively one of the staff members suggested I get a vanilla latte with pistachio foam. It hit the spot, and I was highly satisfied with the quality and flavors of the drink. Lastly, I had the best experience with Customer Service at Sweet Dee's Bakeshop. The ladies working the 8am shift Wednesday morning when I was there made my day with their friendliness, great attitudes, and fun conversation.

Yelp
Was in the mood for something sweet and stopped here on a random Thursday about 11 AM. While things looked in the case it was a bit disappointing. The cannoli shells were not crisp. Cannolis should not be prefilled so I should not have even tried. The almond croissant was the best of the bunch. Very tasty The chocolate covered donut had no donut flavor, the chocolate topping was overpowering. Unfortunately after one bite hubby tossed it The apple bred pudgy was tasty but wasn't what bread pudding usually tastes like.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
We had sweet cravings and went here to bring some home. We bought creme brule donut, macarons (Ferrero Rocher, raspberry rose, margarita), cannoli donut, cannoli, prickly pear, and orange mousse. With the exception of the cannoli, everything was way too sweet. It was great that they offer doggy treats though.

Yelp
My last detailed reviewed got deleted so I want to follow up on this. Had an incident with an employee, Wynter, who verbally assaulted me when I was a costumer there. I had left a review to let management know what is going on in FOH and was pretty much brushed off by the owner (see owner comment below). I thought it was odd that the business owner was not going to make things right but after reading other one star reviews, (surprisingly there are a few) it seems to me that this business does not take ownership of much. I still stand behind everything I said and the incidents that occurred that day always seems to be a fascinating story to tell at parties to all my friends and family. Safe to say, I do not recommend this place at all.

Yelp
Small bakery with a huge online/social following. Sweet Dee's went all out for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour which kicked off in Glendale AZ. Dee's marketing really brought in all the Swifties in town. So much so that by the time we arrived most of the cookies were gone! The cashier was super cheery and friendly. Drinks (again, TS inspired and named after Swift's albums) where not cheap by any means. But when in Rome... Small inside space with a few bistro tables outside. Not really fancy, but enough to enjoy a cookie or two. What makes Sweet Dee's impressive is not necessarily the confections, but their marketing and reach on social. But sometimes, you gotta get caught up in the lavender haze.

Yelp
Just happen to be driving by on the way to Happy Hour at a pub when we spied this little bake shop. After parking, we walked back a couple of blocks to check this out. It was near the end of the day, so I would say they had a small selection of pastries. We choose a cinnamon roll and a maple pastry. Both were very good ! My cinnamon roll had apple in it - not my favorite, but still a very good pastry. If you're ever in/or near the Old Town Scottsdale area - this bakery is worth a stop for some sweet after lunch treats !

Yelp
As a loyal customer or Sweet Dees who has supported the business and referred numerous friends over, im disappointed at my recent experience. I recently ordered a cake and had asked for a 30th birthday cake to be "extra" and over the top. I had sent over a logo and had a conversation with the owner regarding what I wanted. I was very clear that I wanted this to be extra! I never thought to worry as I've had great experiences before and beautiful cakes made by them. When I picked up the cake I was honestly shocked. The cake was expensive and was poorly made. The frosting was uneven in so many places and looked unfinished. They didn't even decorate the back of the cake in any way. There were so many things wrong (see my email to the owner and photos). It's been 3 days and I have emailed her twice with no response. I am really shocked as she was so quick to respond when I was trying to book the cake. I hate to have to leave this review but it's really disappointing to have had this experience and have no outreach regarding my concerns. I don't plan to use them again or refer them and that makes me sad. Customer service should always be a priority and if anything all I wanted was her to acknowledge this was not their best work.

Yelp
A friend gifted me my birthday cake from here the last 2 years and the display was stunning, super detailed and vibrant. And both tasted absolutely amazing there was a strawberry filling and the perfect amount of sweet! I was thoroughly impressed both times! Check the pics below.

Yelp
Visited Scottsdale for a little getaway for my sons birthday. Went on trusty Yelp to find cute coffee shops. Since who doesn't like cute coffee shops lol! I love how creative they are with their pastries!! July is Harry Potters birthday month, so they had a Harry Potter theme going on. We got their birthday cheesecake, and their macaron fries that came with pink frosting that came in a mini ketchup bottle. Which was so adorable! Those tasted delicious! They were out of a lot of things when we visited. Which was a bummer, but maybe next time we visit Scottsdale. We will hit them up again!

Yelp
Cool little family-owned bakery in Scottsdale. I came by to grab some Phoenix Suns themed cookies that I saw on their IG account to celebrate their playoff run over the summer. Sweet Dees comes up with fun themes for almost anything that you can think of. Despite a bit of a long wait, I was in and out and didn't get much time to explore this place. But I enjoyed the cookies and the customer service. I was impressed with the creativity of the products that I saw in the display case. I'll swing by another time.
google avatar

Lily C.

Yelp
Honestly, Sweet Dees has most of my money at this point. Love the atmosphere and the colorful interiors of the place. There is always some type of dessert or coffee that is themed and they do a good job at being creative with the themes. Every time I go here, I feel well taken cared off and never like I am a nuisance for taking forever to decide on what to eat (it always ends up being an almond croissant or a macaron). I also LOVE that there are plenty of Gluten Free options. It's one of the top places I now go for sweets and desserts, and there is never a moment I am not recommending them.

Yelp
Went to enjoy fun Barbie day. I've been here before for other theme days. Good stuff but poor service! Sitting outside enjoying treats, when owner came out yelled at women with her kids who grabbed a few Wrapped Barbie lollipops! The kids did not break them nor did they ruin them by touching them. Yet, owner was compelled to go tell the lady she needs to restrain her kids. There were several customers with kids since it was Barbie themed! Owner acting very poorly towards this woman.

Yelp
Simply the most delicious cake and sweets! We ordered a 2 tier cake with fire decorations, but didn't want fondant. They delivered with these amazing spray painted flames that were insane! The vanilla and marble cake were simple flavors done well. The butter cream was decadent, but not overly sweet. It was a perfect cake. While picking up the cake we also got macaroons and a chocolate donut. Sweet Dees does all things sweet very well. If you're in the neighborhood is a must go to for a coffee and a treat. If you're throwing a party, go nowhere else for a cake! You will not be disappointed here!! I'm still drooling

Christa W.

Yelp
Purchased a custom cake for my boyfriends 30th bday and it turned out amazing !! All our friends were so impressed with the quality and taste. One of the best tasting cakes honestly ! It was a Guinness theme so the owner suggested doing a vanilla cake soaked in Guinness & brown sugar with Orange Brown Butter Cream Cheese filling and OMG was it amazing !!!! Will absolutely be a return customer ! (I just added the Dirty 30 sign myself at lunch but everything else was done by Sweet Dees) !

Yelp
Lynda made these cookies for a Winnie the Pooh baby shower, so cute! Lynda you are amazing!

Yelp
Ordered a birthday cake - Pink Champagne and Bavarian cream flavor. I have three major issues with this purchase . Let me start with the trivial ones and gradually ascend to the more serious. 1) The decoration on the cake The decor was pathetic! The flowers looked old and nasty. Why put them at all if it doesn't make the cake look any better! Disappointed 2) The cake was dry from inside and did not taste good I have added pictures from when we cut the cake. Please note it was cut within 5 hours of pick up, and all instructions to handle the cake ( keep it refrigerated ) were followed. Honestly, I have had better tasting cakes at Whole Foods. 3 ) TOO EXPENSIVE!! I paid a whopping $120 for this! Can you imagine? And cherry on top - when I went to pick up the cake they did not even have a big enough top to cover the box without pressing the flowers inside the cake! C'mon guys! For a shop that charges such exuberant prices, I expect a better packaging at the very least I would have been okay with the price if it tasted better and was decorated well. But none of that happened so price ain't justified.

Yelp
OMG I loved my custom birthday cupcakes! The creativity is unmatched. The team and Sweet Dee's was wonderful to work with and super communicative. I provided a couple of reference photos and they hit it out of the park! Best part is that these actually taste amazing! The frosting is thick and buttery (not waxy). And the cake is dense and rich. Each cupcake was very filling, and extremely satisfying to enjoy. 10/10 would order again. I can't wait to see what they'll come up with next!

Yelp
Wonderful bakeshop! There are so many options of sweete as well as a regular breakfast and coffee menu! The staff is just as sweet as the food! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Such sweet owners/employees! Their drinks & treats are delicious and creative. The vibe is light and fun. Will definitely stop back in next time I'm on this side of town.

Yelp
The pastries and cakes are so pretty and cute but they taste so bad. I've come here a couple of times, each time I have tried to give this place a new chance, but I can't believe that the taste of the food is horrible. Maybe I have just gone when the food isn't baked fresh that day? This place is great for pictures, or if you want to buy a really pretty dessert, but from my experience they sacrifice taste for aesthetic.

Yelp
I don't even like coffee and I loved this drink. Highly recommend going here even if you aren't a big coffee drinker because they have just about everything to try here.

Yelp
AMAZING! So many gluten free options. I had the macaroons and mini donuts with the prickly pear lemonade. There were the cutest mini cakes which were GF. I believe they also offer GF bread for breakfast sandwich's. I'll be back there to try more before the vacation is done! 10/10

Yelp
This compact shop has awesome looking goodies. There were a few gluten free items: a brownie type bar, macaroons and a lemon bar that was also vegan. I tried the lemon bar which was excellent, not too sweet and topped with freeze dried raspberries, a perfect dessert.

Yelp
I live walking distance from Sweet Dee's and have been here a few times. Although the pictures make everything look extremely delectable, I was never really blown away by the items (both drinks and sweets) I got here. I got a maple leaf before and felt like a typical donut shop would be preferable. I also ordered one of their drinks that has the sprinkles, etc all over the rim. It was very appealing for an Instagram pic, but more quantity over quality. The last time I went, I ordered a drink and it was pretty decent. It was just about 3 weeks ago and I remember getting a sweet treat along with it. But now I can't even recall what it was, so that tells you it wasn't memorable. Staff is very friendly here and it's in a great location. I just feel like there are much better sweet shops in the Valley. I wouldn't be opposed to trying it again. Just wasn't my favorite. For a better drink and a delectable pastry, check out Berdena's in Old Town instead!

Yelp
Ordered my birthday cake here. Also before ordering came to try a sample, they had a samples for the owners birthday. They had samples for the champagne strawberries flavor. I ordered that for my birthday and i didn't like it cause it was lots of frosting on the outside and inside is very cakey and kinda hard. I should have probably got chocolate flavor but didn't think about it. It does look cute but the flavor I picked wasn't my favorite. Also the gold dripping wasn't my favorite, I thought it would be a different color drip that I sent a picture of but this is the 2nd cake I had with drip style and I think it just makes the cake to heavy/hard. Also I got a croissant sandwich. It was good but messy. It's super cute inside. There's a pick up window too. There's seats outside as well.

Yelp
I love cake and this place came highly recommended for their cupcakes. I'm not sure what the hype is about their cupcakes, honestly. I found the cake to be rather flavorless and the frosting incredibly sweet - for me, inedibly sweet. I did get a piece of the omg, and that was very tasty! Wish I'd gotten more of that instead of the cupcakes. The place was busy when we went. Line was outside the door. From other reviews it also mentioned that there is always a wait. First time coming here and probably gonna be the last.
