I’ve been a loyal customer for years, traveling 35 minutes to buy my husband’s favorite tiramisu cake for his birthday. This year, however, was a disappointing experience. The cake tasted awful, and despite being stored properly in the fridge, it was inedible. I called on Sunday morning (the 23rd) to inform the bakery and offered to return the cake so they could see the issue firsthand. Unfortunately, the staff could only take my information and promised a call back, but I never heard from them. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of response and poor customer service has left me frustrated. I paid over $35 for a cake that no one could eat, and after four days, my issue remains unresolved. I won’t be returning. I hope this review helps others avoid a similar experience.

I’ve seen the amazing reviews and had their cannolis so I was eager to try this spot out! I needed a cake for a birthday celebration but had specific requests - as the birthday man LOVES strawberry flavored anything. Nicki was super helpful and cooperative in making a strawberry cheesecake come to life! The strawberries were fresh as well as the cake. The decor was also extremely neat and pretty. Super excited to have more treats made specifically by this bakery! :)

We LOVE Sweet Delites. Their pastries are delectable and their cakes are always beautiful. They are my family's go-to for all special occasions. They recently prepared my daughter's 100 day celebration cake, their most beautiful creation for us yet! Their customer service is always excellent, seamless communication. I look forward to enjoying their cakes for many, many more celebrations.

I had a unicorn themed birthday party for my One year old and Sweet Delites banged it out of the park! From the unicorn cake, 2 unicorn smash cakes, unicorn sugar cookies And star cookies with rainbow sprinkles. There was attention to detail and the taste was indeed delightful! All of my guests were blown away by the delicious strawberry shortcake flavor of the unicorn cake. And the inner child in all of my guests made them take away slices of cake and rainbow cookies. I will be a repeat customer looking forward to the next birthday/holiday. Also, shoutout to Justine for making sure the order was correct, the cakes and cookies were wrapped to arrive safely, and that I was completely happy and satisfied. Cheers to Sweet Delites!

My daughter in laws mother and I had a small safari themed baby shower. The staff was extremely helpful with ideas for the desserts, and stayed with the safari animal theme. My daughter in law and the guests were thrilled with not only the designs, but how delicious and fresh everything was. I highly recommend Sweet Delites and have attached pictures of their beautiful creations.

We are starting our fifth summer in the area since moving from the Bronx. Admittedly, we were cake snobs. We had a great Italian bakery around the corner from our house. After trying Sweet Delights, we have been so impressed, every single time, that we are very happy to call them our bakery now. Without exception, their service, quality, and the beauty of their wares, has been unmatched. We wish them great success and happiness. They are doing it right! Salute!

They have Pastel de nata and 7-layer cake!! Need I say more??? And the rainbow cookies with marzipan are a crowd favorite too! YUMMMMMM!!

I ordered a cake for my dad's 60th birthday and gave clear instructions: the cake was supposed to be blue with white writing. When I went to pick it up on the day of the party, the cake was white with blue writing. I wasn't planning to make a fuss, but for a $120 cake, I expected to get exactly what I ordered. When I brought up my concern, the employees asked if I wanted them to change the entire cake icing to blue, an hour before the party. Obviously, I declined. Then they showed me their order notes, which had clearly been edited to make it look like I had asked for a white cake with blue writing. I found that extremely frustrating and dishonest. I don't appreciate being made to feel like I was at fault when I was paying for a service that should have been done correctly the first time. To make matters worse, the manager even reminded the cashier to charge me the full $120 with no discount. Maybe instead of trying to shift blame, the staff should be trained to take responsibility, be more personable, and actually deliver what customers ask for, not whatever they feel like doing.

The best place in Northern Westchester for bakery goods. Service is warm, friendly, accommodating and informative. The chocolate mousse cake and strawberry shortcake are among my family's favorites. The place I go to for sweet treats for all special occasions. The bakery provides a variety of sweet treats. We have been customers for decades and have always found the quality of the bakery goods to be superb.

Just making sure people know. I am not impressed by their products either. I buy my cakes and cookies elsewhere.

Best bakery in Northern Westchester. Cakes, danish, breads, cookies and they take special orders. Excellent service but, like everything these days, a tad on the expensive side. Highly recommended.

I stopped in here for the first time. What an adorable bakery! So many choices that are delicately decorated. I ended up buying a leaf cookie, which was buttery and delicious. I can't wait to stop in again and try other goodies when I am in a hungrier mood! The people that work there are extremely friendly and nice.

I've never seen a business hornier for Trump than this one. Used to order all of my cakes from here (not bc they were the best tasting, but because they were marginally cheaper) but will be going to Cosco instead.

Delightful, beautifully made dessert goodies to please everybody. All their products are delicious, from customized birthday cakes, to coffee cakes, cookies, you name it. Their Italian goodies, too, are superb: sfogliatelle, cannoli, chocolate lace cookies. A lovely, knowledgeable staff and a pretty, immaculate shop make this bakery a go-to for "sweet delights."

Food was amazing! Service was also good. Most especially ambiance is amazing!! Goodies everywhere! My most favorite is their lobster tail and their chocolate cakes. Been a fan since I work nearby I usually buy it for dessert to take home after work. Their cookies is also amazing not that sweet. Perfect pair for tea time.

I ordered and picked up a peach pie. The pie was horrible , peache were like apple sauce and the crust was like cardboard. All of my guests remarked how horrible it was and asked where I bought it. I called the next day and took the pie back. The manager whose name is Teresa would not credit my card for returning the pie. This store charges you 4% more for using a credit card looking to have cash only transactions ?????? I wonder why!!!!!! Carol Masone

A couple things here are five stars and the rest were four, but I'm rounding up to five stars because this bakery is affordable, adorable, and the staff is so warm and welcoming. The must-gets are the poppyseed danish (heavenly) and the Napoleon (perfectly creamy and not too sweet). The cannolis and rainbow cookies are a close second, while the cake bite, seven-layer slice of cake, and black and white cookie were just okay. I'm definitely coming back to try more and get the danish and Napoleon. 5 stars!!!!

They are the "Best of the Best"! I have purchased specialty cakes, cookies and treats for several celebrations, and everyone raved about them! And Jill and her staff could not be more professional and helpful!

Pastries, pies, cookies...I've ordered them all and everything is fresh and delicious. The service is top notch and I like that it's a lot of college aged kids working there. It creates a family friendly environment.

The danishes were still good but they're about $4.50, ouch. The donuts were $2 but were comparable to DD's so I'd skip them.

Purchased Challah on Tuesday for the holidays and unfortunately I had to immediately return it because it was not fresh. The manager, Jill, refused to give me a refund or credit because she claimed it was delivered that morning from Rockland Bakery. I called Rockland Bakery and they told me that Jill should have accepted the return and at least given me a credit for the product since Sweet Delites has an account with them. Jill needs to take a course in customer service!

Moved to Somers from Katonah where our bakery choices were limited. This is a real bakery with amazing and unique products!!

Amazing cakes and cookies. We ordered a special character birthday cake for our 3 year old granddaughter that was spectacular.

Never disappoints on a regular basis. We had a small wedding celebration and reached out for a simple white on white cake. Not only was it beautiful but absolutely delicious. Thee layers of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse filling and whipped cream icing. Wish we had gotten a bigger cake. Thanks so much.

Hey!! California here. I needed a birthday cake from my friend in Mahopac. I picked this place because it was close to her and their photos looked amazing. I ordered the cake the first thing in the morning and had another friend pick it up and deliver it at 1 pm that day. It was a chocolate cake with strawberries and my friend said it was fabulous. It sure looked good! Can't find cakes that nice on the West Coast, for sure!

Amazing everything a must to try. Girls are always kind, polite and are extremely knowledgeable in detail about cakes and pastries. Also, peanut/nut free. You won't be disappointed in any of the baked goods. Beautifully decorated. Always my go for everything.

They use the best ingredients and their cakes are off the charts, especially the Fudge Cake and the Molly Brown. Real and fresh whipped cream used. Lines out the door during holidays. So order ahead.

I just moved to the area and was worried I wouldn't find a good bakery. Well, I can honestly say my daughters first birthday cake was amazingly beautiful and tasted so moist (cannoli filling). Few months later we ordered our gender reveal cake .. again... beautiful and delicious. I'm suuuuuper picky... so for me to be completely satisfied says a lot. I will most definitely keep going back. I want to also add t they are very nice and accommodating.

This place was recommended by my wedding venue and boy did they NOT disappoint. I showed them a picture of their cake on their Instagram but asked for certain flower colors ( which I sent a picture of my bouquet) and I wanted an anchor. I came out better than I ever expected..and it was delicious. It was vanilla cake, Canoli cream and butter cream frost. It wasn't too sweet but just perfect. Everyone loved it. I wish they weren't so far from where I lived or I'd start going there more often( actually maybe that's a good thing lol)

Every time I have had something from this bakery, I have been wowed. Excellent bakery with a variety of baked goods! I particularly enjoy their cannolis and their cannoli cake. I ordered cupcakes recently and they made it really easy to order and pick up. I can't wait to try them!

I found out last minute that I had to supply some sweets for a family member's surprise engagement, and when I showed up at 8am the morning after thanksgiving, the ladies in the shop immediately jumped to action and filled a gorgeously laid out box with elegant cookies and pastries, exactly what I was hoping for. They even added a personalized chocolate plaque for an extra flair at the last minute. Plus, the sweets were absolutely delicious. Can't recommend them enough!

This is such a cute small bakery with lots of delicious treats! Seems like the personalized cakes are popular cause many people were ordering them. I purchased a few of the little cookies. I had the mini rainbow cookies with the raspberry filling, the mini linzer cookies, and one 7 layer slice. I believe the cookies are $18.99 a pound but you can get as many or few as you like and the seven layer cake slice was about $3.50. The mini linzer cookies are my favorite, with just the right amount of raspberry filling and crunch these are so addicting! Once you pop you can't stop lol! The 7 layer cake had a chocolate candy coating on the outside, soft yellow cake on the inside with a chocolate buttercream between the layers of cake. They were all fresh and tasty! The women were friendly, the store is clean and they are allowing four people at a time to enter. Masks and gloves are worn by the staff and hand sanitizer is provided. Anytime I visit Somers I will definitely make a quick stop to this bakery!

Used to go to them when they were in Yonkers. There pastries are delicious. No matter who is coming to my house for dinner I always stop there and get a box of mini pastries. Truthfully even if I'm not having company and just want to indulge.! Worth every penny

Everything is so good - maybe too good, since hubby and I always go back for more. Everything can be ordered in advance and picked up so you can always get your favorite danish, cake or cookies. Hubby loves the Bear Claws and the apricot danish. They will custom make any cake and have a book of theme examples if needed. If you forgot to order a cake they always have a nice selection in the show case and will write a saying on it as you wait. Try the Molly Brown cake - we always get that one for birthdays). Staff is super and strive to please.

Going to Sweet Delites was a wonderful experience. The shop itself was really cute, they had such a variety of unique treats and even when it got busy, was appropriately social distanced so felt very safe. (Only 4 allowed inside the store at once; you'd find the rest of the fast-moving line outside.) The rainbow cookie cake I got was beautiful. It had a really classy looking chocolate drip on the top and whoever wrote my happy birthday message could actually have a career in calligraphy. I was so excited to try the cake! It tasted - dare I say - better than it looked. Multiple people in our group said it was the best cake they ever had. I got tempted when I was in the bakery and left with a pumpkin cupcake as well. (Surprisingly I was able to stop myself there...) The cupcake was just as good. Can't wait to visit again and try something else!

Last minute to order a cake and they came out with flying colors! First, the woman who helped us was straight to the point and told us what they can and cannot do, not sugarcoating us (no pun intended). The requests for the art on the cake was identical to the picture. I couldn't ask for more. As for the taste: the cake was light as air but the sweetness melted in your mouth and the custard added that extra touch. the marriage of the frosting, cake and custard was amazing. Of course it was for a child's party and they couldn't enjoy it as much as the adults, but the adults savored every morsel. Kudos to Sweet Delites. As for the coffee, I am a coffee snob, and yes, their coffee has the right amount of coffee grounds and water and right temperature. A spot to check out here in Somers

I must say this is clearly the best bakery in the area. Everything is so fresh and worth it. During the craziness of the corona virus scare, there is nothing more comforting then one of your cannolis with a good cup of coffee. Thank you for staying open and taking care of us.

This place was unbelievably good. I made a fairly large order in the morning and they had it delivered the same day. We ordered a shadow cake, cookies, and cannolis. Amazing quality. Everything was 10/10. Highly recommend.
