Lovely dinner at SD Café! We loved the crispy salt and pepper tofu, tempura veggies, stir-fried greens, ginger baked fish, chicken katsu curry, and pork dumplings. Delicious Pan-Asian flavours, cosy atmosphere, and really friendly service. The matcha cheesecake and jasmine tea were the perfect finish. Highly recommend this spot — we’ll be back to try the coffee! ☕️

We went there for dinner on the Chinese mid-autumn festival day. There were 11 of us and we asked the owner to cook special Cantonese food for us. The food was fresh, authentic and fresh. All the dishes are delicious. The salt and pepper squid was my favourite. It was the best Chinese meal I have had in London !

SD Restaurant in Dulwich is truly one of the area’s hidden gems! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was being looked after by family – the service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely out of this world. The food? Absolutely authentic, fresh, and DELICIOUS. Every bite was an explosion of flavour – my taste buds were honestly having a party. I’ve now promised myself (and my taste buds!) that I’ll work my way through the entire menu. The dumplings were nothing short of perfection – the best I’ve ever eaten. Soft, delicate, and full of flavour, they were served in a broth so rich in depth, umami-packed with just the right hint of sesame, that I couldn’t stop myself from going back for more. And then came the single-origin hot chocolate from Dominica… oh my days 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰!!! Smooth, velvety, with subtle bitter caramel notes – it was the perfect sweet start to an incredible meal (I tend to start meal with desert 🤭 on this occasion hot chocolate). I’m already planning my next visit, and this time the crab is calling my name. SD has won me over completely – Dulwich is fortunate to have it!

Our visit to Sweet Dreams Café was incredible! They offer a wide variety of authentic Chinese and Cantonese dishes. The atmosphere is warm, quiet, and truly feels like home. We started with drinks from their café (Aroma Lab). We had a Mocha, Matcha Latte, and Hot Chocolate—and I can honestly say they were some of the best we've ever had! But the best part was the food. The portions are huge, the prices are shockingly affordable, and the flavors were amazing. Here’s what we ordered: Traditional Baked Salt Chicken – Marinated for a full day. Incredibly tender, soft, and packed with flavor! Steamed Lotus Rice – Richly marinated with a beautifully soft texture. Beef Fried Noodles – Absolutely delicious and very satisfying. Everything is handmade and organically marinated, with no artificial flavors. The service was exceptional—very welcoming and generous. They even surprised us with a free dish of stir-fried greens! Overall, Sweet Dreams Café is one of the best dining experiences we've had. Highly recommended!!

What an absolute gem just off Lordship Lane! I had to write this review as SD Café serves some of the most authentic Cantonese food I’ve tasted in a very, very long time. Every dish was bursting with freshness and flavour – you can really tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients and cooking. We started with( Aroma Lab delicious coffee and hot chocolate). We tried the pork dumplings, chicken dumpling soup, udon noodles, and finished with their incredible matcha layered cake. Each plate was carefully prepared, full of depth, and beautifully presented. The speciality coffee and teas are also outstanding – a perfect complement to the meal. The hospitality and service were just as impressive as the food. The team has such experience, yet remain wonderfully humble, welcoming, and attentive. It really makes the whole dining experience warm and memorable. SD Café is a true hidden treasure of Dulwich. If you love authentic Cantonese flavours and great service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We found this little gem of a place by chance and we are so happy that we did. The bubble tea is delicious and so are the pastries - we particularly liked the bolo bao. The staff Ying and Gi Gi and were so warm and welcoming! We will be back!

Had such a lovely evening here, great variety on the menu and everything was delicious. It was my birthday and they surprised me with the most beautiful cake which made it really special. Looking forward to coming back!
