Sweet Dreams Organic Ice Cream

While organic vegan snacks aren't my thing, the ice cream here was ok. I ordered a vegan mint chocolate chip and it wasn't too bad. The atmosphere of the place is really nice with seating at the porch and the small patio they have on the side.

Amazing vegan ice cream in Woodstock!! I’m very picky with vegan ice cream and this rivals Van Leeuwan. All cashew based and the owner makes each flavor small batch. I’m not sure if the flavors change but when I went they had chocolate hazelnut, mint chip, pistachio, and a strawberry sorbet. All were fabulous. Owner was also super friendly and overall just a super cute spot!

We were appealed by the great reviews of Sweet Dream Organic Ice Cream when we were craving for ice cream in the neighborhood. There wasn’t a great variety of flavors and we got Cookie n Cream & Pistachio in a small cup. It’s pretty decent, rich and creamy, especially the pistachio.

Tried out cappuccino/coffee and vanilla ice cream as well as the hibiscus ice tea. Found the ice cream and the ice tea very underwhelming. The ice cream flavors tasted okay, it was as expected but I would try other places before I return here for the ice cream again. I was very disappointed with the ice tea. I felt like I paid 2.50 for a cup of water with ice instead of anything with flavor. The staff were pleasant and attentive.

The is is an adorable little ice cream shop, but entirely inaccessible. There are two different staircases but not a single ramp. Also, the vegan ice cream tasted like burnt almonds. My brother got a traditional scoop and a vegan scoop for me, but we didn’t end up eating the vegan one. I would have known not to buy it if I could have sampled it, but I had to wait out front for him to get it because there was no ramp. It’s. A really cozy vibe with tiny chairs for kids and books hoops and chalk. The town is super friendly. I just was disappointed in the lack of consideration for people like me (and in the vegan ice cream).

I just stopped here on my road trip from Wisconsin and had some ice cream which I normally don't do because of how much sugar is in it, but I had their Mexican chocolate ice cream and it tasted like it was mindfully sweetened, and it was oh so good. I may or may not try and buy an ice cream maker for at home after this and make my own Mexican chocolate ice cream, with a little cayenne, sea salt, and sweetened with honey 👌 amazing little shop in the smallest of towns! ❤️

4.5: A small, friendly spot that hits the spot When walking around Woodstock on a warm day, it's hard not to be enticed be passerbyers with overflowing cones. While the flavors aren't super unique and not cheap, the ice cream is homemade and organic. I enjoyed the Mexican chocolate, which was vegan (and I haven't found a lot of vegan ice creams that were that great). While the inside is pretty bare bones, there's a few tables and chairs outside that are fun to sit at. They also have colored chalk to entertain the kiddos. If you're in the mood for a treat stop by!

Small batch, homemade organic ice cream. Pricier than your average ice cream shoppe, but of craft quality. The deep and rich flavor of my Mexican chocolate chip scoop was very satisfying. I even added some to the nitro cold brew they sell to make a sort of coffee float - delicious and refreshing! The hibiscus iced tea is nice too. They also offer several vegan flavors - we tried pistachio which is more delicate than the typical kind. There is seating on the porch or in the small backyard that's quite homey and relaxing.

If you want something more than the old standard ice cream you can get in every supermarket, come to Sweet Dreams located on Tinker St in Woodstock. The one flavor that caught my eye during the summer of '23 while driving past it was Oaxacan Chocolate. That alone sold me. The outside patio is welcoming and the purple door, is eye-catching. Here, premium organic ice cream is made with love and from scratch. The range is small- but includes nice sounding flavors. I picked up a Butter Pecan for hubs, Oaxacan Chocolate, Salted Caramel in to-go cups. The owner Joshua is pleasant and the ice cream made here is irresistibly creamy. So if ice cream is your thing- even in winter, Sweet Dreams is your place.

We were walking around the cute town of Woodstock and were craving ice cream to beat the heat. We saw Sweet Dreams Organic and walked over to their outdoor list of flavors; I had wanted to make sure that they had some vegan options, and they did. I was sold on the idea, and we went inside to scope out our options. I ended up with a small cup that contained scoops of both Vegan Pistachio and Vegan Mint Chip. Both offered loads of natural flavor without a heavy dose of sugar or sweetness. I also got a small cup of their hot coffee, which was available as a self-service product in a basic coffeemaker. Based on that presentation, I had my doubts of how good the coffee would be, but it was actually rich and delicious. My boyfriend took a bit longer to settle on an ice cream flavor for his cone. He pondered the Mexican Chocolate Chip, but was really convinced into it by the shop manager who gave him a sample of the cinnamon-infused, bold chocolate cream. My boyfriend kept raving about it and gave me a taste, and I was similarly enthused! Sweet Dreams not only satisfied our cravings for a cool treat, but it surpassed our flavor expectations.

Absolutely spectacular vegan ice cream I don't eat dairy so I cannot vouch for that but it's hard to find really excellent vegan ice cream

This ice cream shop is located right across the street from Twin Gables B&B in Woodstock where we stayed. I'm not sure if the ice cream at this place is vegan or not but the whipped cream definitely isn't made with real cream. I know some of the ice creams were labeled as vegan but I think they all are made that way. Honestly not sure. The consistency and flavor was odd. We'll have to try another ice cream shop next time visiting the area. If you're into vegan and organic ice cream specifically then this might be your spot but if you're looking for indulgent traditional ice cream this isn't it.

Delicious!!! I'm not a big ice cream person it's only when I travel that I love to try new places. Loved their strawberry ice cream it was so good. Can't wait to try other flavors on the way back. Amazing!

My first time trying vegan ice cream and it's so much better than regular ice cream! I got the chocolate hazelnut and my dad got mint chip without realizing it was also vegan. He said he couldn't tell the difference. On the other hand, I could taste the difference and I prefer vegan ice cream. The lady at the store told us that their vegan ice cream is made with cashew milk. Good to know! They only had two vegan options, so I wish they had more but I was completely satisfied with what I got. I didn't take pictures of my ice cream because I immediately started eating it as soon as it was handed to me.

I am guessing all of these five star reviews are from vegans because my non-vegan chocolate mint cookie was grainy (like it had been in the freezer too long?). My (sometimes) lactose intolerant husband was happy with his vegan chocolate chip mint, though he confessed he couldn't taste much of the mint flavor. That is because it was obscured by the taste of the cashew milk the "ice cream" was made of. There was one girl struggling to keep up with the line - it still took 20 minutes to get our ice cream. Humph. I will try elsewhere next time.

I stopped by here today after a hike, I got the mexican chocolate ice cream. It was sooooooo good! Huge chocolate chunks with a cinnamon undertone. Really good flavor! If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go again!

Ice cream was great! Service person was very friendly and responsive. I loved the overall energy at this place. I would suggest giving it a try. Grab some ice cream and walk the town of Woodstock.

Delectable! Stopped in for a treat on a Sunday afternoon with friends. We were so pleasantly pleased to see that they had multiple vegan options and not just the standard mango sorbet you often find at ice cream shops. I enjoyed the pistachio with lots of flavor and nuts. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was like... I think this was the best ice cream I've ever had. I am kind of pissed now that I don't live here. Maybe I should sell my house, then rob a bank, then I can live in Woodstock, and eat this ice cream regularly.

Love this spot. Went with my mom, boyfriend and daughter. Absolutely adorable. Chalk to play with, areas to sit. And the girls working on Fourth of July were an absolute delight made you feel welcome and right at home. Definitely a must stop on your Woodstock trip for some ice cream or latté.

Mexican chocolate chip! Mmm. Me and my son shared it and we were happy. My hubs got hazelnut but I never asked what he thought I assume he liked it. My mom also had a few tastes and loved the Mexican chocolate chip also. Ladies who worked here were very nice!

Stumbled upon this ice cream shop while visiting Woodstock. Ice cream was DELICIOUS. The salted caramel was well balanced. And the vegan pistachio was we ordered the chocolate one as well and did not disappoint.

Best ice cream in the Hudson Valley! I particularly loved the Coffee & Cookie ice cream, but the Chocolate Hazelnut was spectacular as well, and the outside seating area is the perfect spot to watch the world go by.

Hands down this has to be the best ice cream I've ever had, their wide range of flavors is convenient as my favorites are the salted caramel and mexican chocolate chip. Very chill place as everyone who works there is great and a good vibe all around. 100% my recommendation for anyone asking me what the best ice cream in woodstock is.

Was gobsmacked when we ordered a pint of ice cream. Two different flavors mixed. The price - nearly $40 dollars w tip. Really? For a pint. Ridiculous. Going back to Stewarts.

This place was a great surprise to find. It just opened, and it's a great addition to the town. Excellent flavors, seating, location, prices, service, and hours! Everything in the shop is organic, and all materials biodegradable. We loved the cappuccino almond ice cream - the almonds are chocolate covered! Look forward to going again soon

Simply wow. Creamy (not heavy), flavorful, and delicious ice cream. I'm from NYC, but would come back to Woodstock just for this place. I recommend Mexican Chocolate and Banana Cream flavors

Although the quality of the ice cream is very good, my wife and I are outraged about the price gouging of this business- $ 19.50 for 2 scoops of ice cream for 2 people? And the portion was small and served from a paper cup. We are local residents of Woodstock. it is a hamlet for the Arts; not a tourist trap with outrageous prices- This is extremely upsetting to see. ( especially since we both were executives in Food and Beverage and understand food cost. Reevaluate your pricing structure and charge the appropriate amount!

the experience here was like a scene from portlandia. the server was incredibly passive aggressive. the small size was literally the same size as the free samples at Costco -- for $5.49 -- which gets you about 4 spoonfuls of ice cream. when our whole group tasted someone's mint chip and determined there wasn't a whisper of mint to be found, we asked if we could swap out a flavor. The fella's response was "I don't know what you're talking about, it's overwhelmingly minty" and then brushed us off. And made no offer to give our 8 yr old anything to replace. We laughed the whole thing off -- as a Woodstock '94 type money grab for terrible product. I'd go to Stewart's for $2.50 Sunday with amazing ice cream any day over this place. The snark and attempt to pawn organic product with little satisfying delivery was everything that is wrong with some aspects of the current Woodstock experience.

Blown away. Better than any ice cream we can get in BK and up there with the best ice cream shops around the country. I would put this next to Morgenstern's. We had the salted caramel and cappuccino ice cream. The flavors are as intense as eating salted caramel, or drinking a cappuccino. They use local dairy from upstate NY and don't skimp on the ingredients (no "filler air" churned into the ice cream). Quality you can absolutely taste.

Highly encourage you to experience some amazing ice cream my favorite was the maple! It's the best in our area of Woodstock Kingston Stone Ridge etc! Very pleasant service and lovely porch!!!!

Delicious organic ice cream. They also have a few vegan options, made of cashews (or sorbet). The cashew ice cream is the most delicious vegan ice cream I've ever had. They also have very sweet homemade baked goods like cookies and cupcakes that look reallly good.

Don't think twice if you are in the mood for ice cream.. it was one of the best ice creams that I have had! The servings are small but the taste makes up for the quantity! I loved the chocolate hazelnut one!!

Delicious ice cream -you can taste the difference from the local organic milk. The pistachio is vegan but I really enjoyed it due to the strong bitter almond flavor. The chocolate (dairy) was amazing!

Heading upstate for the weekend? If you're passing through Woodstock, don't pass by Sweet Dreams! Happened upon this friendly place and was all the better for it. Organic ice cream on a cone, yes please! I LOVED the ginger, also they let you have tastes! Hard to choose, all yummy!! My friend had a vegan mango thing, that was also amazing. More ice cream = peace on earth. Woodstock speaking, ha ha! Go there.

Very friendly place to stop and get organic ice cream. I loved that they also have organic soda and tea choices. Very tiny but cute seating outside. Reasonably priced. I think they should add some other snacks to their inventory. I had the expresso caramel ice cream which was really good, but I didn't like the cone. My daughter had one with nuts in it. Really good ice cream. Not your typical variety of ice cream choices which I liked. I think when I go back (I will go back!) I will try the ice cream in a cup.
