The ice cream itself was good. A little disappointed in the limited options for what I wanted for my ice cream toppings. Not a fan of the pre-mixed toppings, I’m slightly picky with my food so there that. I think the great ice cream is drowned out by the abundance of sauces. In all honesty I really love saying the name Sweeeeeeet Jeeeeesus ! 😂

Oh my goodness! I found myself in a sugar coma after indulging in the Red Rapture. I ordered the Red Rapture and Hella Hazelnut, and my favorite was the Red Rapture. The cake's crumbly exterior paired with the velvety vanilla ice cream on the inside was an irresistible combination. I was on a diet, but this dessert clearly broke my resolve. Please note that this store doesn't offer indoor seating, so be prepared for a quick grab-and-go experience. However, there are a few outdoor seating options available if you prefer to dine on-site. Overall, it's a great place to satisfy your sweet cravings.

As an ice cream lover, I liked the taste of the ice cream itself and the size wasn’t one of those tiny ones and I really liked it. but the issue was that there aren’t so many options. Plus the atmosphere and staff were even colder than the ice cream. Lol. All in all I recommend this place.

Google
Once the tiny bit of topping is gone, you’re left with a plain vanilla or chocolate soft serve. Not worth the price. The cotton candy and the birthday cake could have had those flavor ice creams. Look at my cotton candy toppings—basically nothing! Then look at the picture! Rip-off.

I came here to satisfy a craving for soft serve ice cream and this hit the spot. I had seen the super long lines at the Niagara outlet and was glad there was one right in downtown TO. The 4pm-11pm hours are interesting but I guess there is something to that. The space is small (can only serve 4 patrons at a time) and there was 1 cashier and 1 server. This creates a line outdoors which can be discouraging but it moves quickly. The menu card hanging outside the door lists prices +/- 1 dollar cheaper than the actual cost which is on the menu board inside. Someone needs to have that updated. We had the pimped-out cookies and cream on a waffle cone and a straight-up vanilla in a cup. Both were generously sized for "small" and tasted amazing. They also have patio seating if you want to stay back to have your ice cream. I'll be back here for sure!

Google
Friends sampled their range of ice-cream. It was good. Quick service, nice staff. Don't expect to sit and enjoy your ice cream because the space is small; you most likely buy and leave. I recommend the medium sized because the large might become overbearing after a while, especially if you do not have a sweet tooth.

Google
Don’t let the pictures fool you! It basically lipstick on a pig. The finished product doesn’t come close to the pictures or descriptions. Cheap soft serve ice cream thinly coated with dollar store candy or dry cake crumbs. Purchased two cones same size and one was much smaller and missing half the ingredients from the description. Definitely not worth prices they charge.

This small ice cream shop is on the list of top 10 ice cream shops in Toronto. The first time I went exploring, I missed it as it's in a corner next to a sushi burger shop. A week later I ventured out determined to find the place. I tried the Red Velvet cake with soft serve ice cream. It was like an okay taste, didn't find anything spectacular as I expected. Maybe I need to try something else. Kids size would suffice, but even that's overpriced at around CAD $6.50. Nice interiors and helpful staff.

Yelp
Good quality ice cream, a lot of topping choices and delicious ice cream cakes. Services was slow despite us being the only ones in the store, so I wouldn't bother if there's a line. Portion sizes were too much. Also, Ice cream melts too fast

Yelp
It's fine! Pretty good soft serve Ice cream that's covered in different ingredients of your choice. The price is sorta wow for what you get but it's cute. The service was fine and the place was clean and cute. Not sure I'd go again, but I enjoyed it.

Yelp
Walk by after dinner and saw this ice cream place with a long line. After viewing the menu to see what the hype was about and if I could get anything there, I saw they had a coconut based ice cream option for vegans like myself. The ice cream was good, but I wasn't blown away by the taste (compared to a place like coldstone). Service was slow as there were only two people working for a lot of people with a number of options from people to choose from on the menu. Despite that, their system was efficient for picking up your order. Outside of the small ice cream shop (no seating inside) there are tables and benches to sit on and eat your ice cream. I think it's worth visiting especially if you can eat most of the ice cream on the menu as the options looked enticing.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Got the "Bounty Killah" which is described to be vegan coconut soft service topped with shredded toasted coconut and dark chocolate sauce. I felt that it was quite icy and tasty with a good amount of coconut flavour but for $8 after tax and tips for a small cup, I did not feel it was justified. They had also run out of dark chocolate and didn't tell me until later so I got the caramel sauce instead. My friend got the smores one and it was on the sweeter side. Service was quick!

Yelp
Expensive for what it is but still very enjoyable. We came shortly before closing, music was blaring, enjoyed our ice cream on the streets. I had the cookie and cream one which was great, just pricey.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus this ice cream was incredible! Note to self and anyone else visiting - do the small because even that is WAY TOO MUCH ice cream for any human being to eat in one sitting. I had the Cookies and Cream and my friend had the Bangin' Brownie and the soft serve on both was delicious but the toppings were outrageous. The amount of cookie dough on my ice cream should have been illegal. It was so rich and delicious and incredible - I truly don't think I've ever had a simple cup of soft serve with such amazing toppings. These people are doing it right, and in a city with plenty of gourmet ice cream options, Sweet Jesus rises to the top - using simple ingredients in a way that works so well!

Yelp
This place definitely used to be better..... I stopped by because I had such fond memories of this place from a few years back where I would see a line wrapped around the block just to get your hands on a cone from this place. The icecream was very rich, almost custard-like which was a good sign, however the price tag was definitely not justified. It was a basic twist cone with some crushed toppings for nearly $8

Yelp
Small messy shop with stressed out employees with no stock and even less help. Apparently, they have never been selling some of the menu ingredients that you pay for so if you pay for something, you actually get half of it, especially with the red rapture because they don't actually keep part of the advertised ingredients on stock ever. They also didn't have napkins , churros, waffles, or cream cheese sauce, so anything you ordered was missing at least one item. Kudos to the employee who went to the restaurant next-door to grab a churro to complete my husband's order that we paid for. Also, the cheesecake that I ordered was frozen solid, and inedible if you want to have a dessert after a show. They ended up giving me a milkshake instead, which was nice, but definitely not what I wanted. I won't be returning.
google avatar

Joee G.

Yelp
I was so excited to try it this place out because everything looked so pretty and delicious, but it was a total let down. I tried the red rapture which has red velvet cake crumbles, cheesecake drizzle and raspberry drizzle. The flavors of the crumble and sauce were quite bland and did not stand out or 'pop'. The soft serve was almost an icy consistency and had a sour under note which was quite unpleasant. For $7 for a small cone, I expect higher quality. I also felt that they should try to make a core and put some toppings inside as well!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday evening, no line up. There are two size options, regular and small with the cup sizes on display for visual. Ordered two regular cones, one cookies and cream and the other Rocky road rage. Visually, looks delicious. Cookies and cream was with vanilla soft serve, dusted in cookie crumbs and cookie dough. Rocky road rate was with chocolate soft serve, marshmallows, nuts and chocolate drizzle. Both cones melted super fast, it was very messy to eat. Nothing special about it, at one point you just get tired of the ice cream, should have gotten a small. Two regular cones after tax costs around $13 Staff were friendly and fyi, there aren't any places for you to sit and enjoy your cones as the tables in the front are for the restaurants next to the store. No dine in either as the storefront is small and only for takeaway service.

Yelp
So I'll start off by saying I don't remember being wowed by this location, but the one I was wowed at is no longer open. The only reason I wasn't wow'd here is bc I didn't love the ice cream flavor I got... however I had the pumping pie one and it was amazing.. seasonal, but delicious! This is a fun take on ice cream with toppings. Not sure why such low ratings at this location... but I would give it a try anyways!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
I agree with the 3 star review because it's just regular ice cream with cake crumble on the outside. Nothing unique. If you can I would recommend getting iHalo instead which has more variety in flavors

Yelp
I went to 2 locations in Toronto, and this place was absolutely delicious! I hate nuts in my ice cream, but ended up getting one with nuts and it was so good! The employees are also very nice, and treat you like one of the homies
google avatar

Yelp
I was kind of surprised that this place only had three stars. You have to know going in that it's soft serve.. if you are only a fan of traditional ice cream then you probably won't enjoy it. That being said if you do like soft serve this place adds some great toppings and makes a tasty treat! There are a few selections on the menu but it's not too large that you have trouble deciding. They have two sizes, but we both went with the kids size and it was more than enough. You can get your choice in a cup or a cone. We went with Krusty the cone and rocky road rage. Krusty comes with vanilla ice cream, cotton candy and sprinkles. Rocky road is chocolate ice cream, marshmallow, nuts, Oreo and chocolate sauce. Both were really good and cute too.

Yelp
It's tough to miss the photos from this place which show pretty elaborately decorated cones with toppings expertly packed on including coconut, cookie pieces, nutella, brownie bits, cotton candy, cream cheese icing, cake pieces, and those sauces cascading down - chocolate, cotton candy, caramel, blueberry. After a pretty filling dinner, a few of us decided to make a gut-busting move to check this place out. We waited patiently for the menu that was knowingly passed down the line of folks standing outside. We'd all decided on what we wanted to get long before we made our way into the very tiny space to place our orders. Our group tried a few of the cones - krusty cone, birthday cake, oh hungry, and hella hazelnut. I ordered the rocky road rage. It was everything I love about rocky road with their own spin. Chocolate soft serve was topped with walnuts, cashews, marshmallows, and Oreo cookie crumbs. We all got the small sizes, cones and cups, and it was plenty for the group of adults. We all really loved the decadence of the cones and they tasted great. Even when I'd eaten the outer toppings, which stayed on much better than I'd anticipated, I enjoyed the soft serve.
google avatar

Yelp
This was not good ice cream. I ordered the red rapture in a waffle cone. The vanilla ice cream isnt even very creamy, nor is it that tasy, and the cheesecake topping was soggy and didnt taste very good either. I guess you could say it looked better than it tasted. Hard pass, way better options out there for ice cream, especially for the price!

Yelp
My girlfriend said we had to check this spot out on our Toronto visit. We arrived and there was a decent line. Once we got to the counter, she ordered cookies and cream in a cup. The service was a little slow and disorganized. We grabbed a picnic table out front and she gave it a try. I asked her how she liked it and she said it was ok, but pretty average. Nothing really stood out about it. I tried a bite and agreed. Unfortunately, this one didn't stand out for us. I think this spot was over hyped a bit.
google avatar

Yelp
What a creative take on the ice cream cone! There was a long line even when it was 30 degrees out and snowing... I came here twice in two days and got the brownie kids in a cup and the cookie butter kids in a cone. Both were very delicious, but I liked the cookie butter better, probably because I found the ice cream to taste better than the brownie one. The brownie tasted more like a mousse to me. The kids size is certainly big enough, no need to splurge on the larger unless you are really hungry! Overall, I thought the ice cream was really good and would come here over going to a traditional ice cream place. The line moves pretty quickly and if you need a good instagram, this is a great place.

Yelp
After a long day at work on a hot summer's day, nothing beats the soft serve creations at Sweet Jesus. Seriously, Sweet Jesus has some of the most creative desserts that I've seen. I might be biased because I love soft serve. I arrived in the late afternoon on a weekday, so there wasn't a large lineup. After looking through the options, I decided to order an "Oh Hungry" because I love peanuts. It's a mix of chocolate, peanut, and caramel sauces, with chocolate peanut crumble. It took a bit of time to make, but the wait was totally worth it. It was so delicious. I highly recommend "Oh Hungry" for peanut lovers. The toppings were fairly solid, so it wasn't going to melt. However, pieces fell off as I was eating it. The pigeons that hovered around the store loved it. Although the soft serve was amazing, the price is pretty steep. Disclaimer - my employer paid for the soft serve, but my body paid for the calories. I would be reluctant to purchase Sweet Jesus soft serve on my own.

Yelp
First time in Canada but K had to see what all the hype was about surround this ice cream places everyone kept talking about. Then menu is self explanatory with great Options to choose from. I chose the hella Nutella in a cup and man!!! I loved it! I'm definitely coming back to Canada and getting Sweet Jesus again!!! Oh yea expect a long line but it's worth it !

Yelp
Sweet Jesus, the hot chocolate here is undoubtedly sweet alright. We ordered the cookies cookies cookies and cream and s'mores hot chocolate. It took awhile to make the hot chocolate but when it was ready, the presentation was truly Instagram-worthy. Topped with a mountain of roasted marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs crusted on the rim of the cup, you won't see the hot chocolate at first since it's covered in plenty of toppings. I tried to take a sip of the drink but got a mouthful of marshmallows instead. It takes awhile to mix and melt the marshmallows into the hot chocolate before you can drink it up. In terms of taste, it was very sweet and tasted like your standard hot chocolate with a lot of melted marshmallows inside. This location doesn't have a lot of seating as there's only a couple of benches in the small shop. It's connected to a restaurant next door so it gets quite busy and crowded if you decide to sit on a bench. I'd come back again once it gets warmer to try the ice cream!

Yelp
I was so so excited to try this place and I had been wanting to do so since a long long time but their long long lines always kept me away from trying them. So a couple of weeks ago it was a rainy evening in downtown Toronto and I happened to be in the area and guess what there weren't any line up and there I was in all the excited spirt ready to try them. So the menu is no to extensive nor too limited.I decided to try the brownie ice cream I opted for the large size. The size was pretty big but flavor wise it was just like any other ice cream place-the taste didn't blew my pallets away. Also most of the flavors on the menu are very basic and nothing seemed extraordinary. I also tried their chocolate shake which is pretty basic as well.I could easily get these at any decent ice cream shop.I still don't understand what's the craze about this place.I think that's the reason the rating isn't too high either. I don't think I would want to come here again. The are priced on the higher side and the quality and flavor are nothing extraordinary.

Yelp
I've been a couple times with my wife and have enjoyed Sweet Jesus thoroughly! The name of the game here is: how much stuff can you pack on soft serve ice cream? How can you go wrong?? I think I've only had their brownie one because it's just so good that I can't bring myself to try anything else. The quality of the ice cream is good but I'll admit not the best I've had. But there are so many toppings piled on that it makes it so satisfying. Then there are the milkshakes... The milkshakes are probably my favorite part of Sweet Jesus. They're so thick and rich and delicious. The one downfall is that the shop is way too small and the lines can be crazy long. It's hard for me to justify waiting 30-60 min for ice cream, so I don't go too often. Overall, Sweet Jesus is definitely worth a try if you can get in when the line is short... though it might not be the best choice if you're on a diet!
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Not bad as a treat especially when there is no lines. The soft serve itself was quite dense and took awhile to melt. so a bonus if you want to take zillion photos before eating that. Red Rapture ($5.30) is pretty in pink. Portion size is good even for a small. Don't mind to come back and order other favours especially when there is no wait and if someone nice is treating, which would be just so sweet!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
The last time I was in the area and tried to get into Sweet Jesus, the lineup was so long, we decided to pass. On this cool autumn day, there was no waiting. After all, who wants ice cream on a cold day? We do! I ordered the Hella Nutella, soft-serve ice cream covered with corn flakes, pistachio nuts, and Nutella sauce. Great combination of flavours and textures! My companion had the Red Rapture, soft-serve ice cream, red velvet cake, cream cheese, and raspberry sauce. Delicious! Under all the yummy toppings, the ice cream was nice and creamy and not dripping all over the place like most other soft-serve ice cream I've had. Maybe the cool weather had something to do with that? We were indoors most of the time! It was good enough that I may have to endure a long lineup next time...
google avatar

Charlynn R.

Yelp
I have been dying to get here since I found out how close it is to our hotel. The place is a lot smaller than imagined and the decorations are quirky and hipstery. They serve soft serve ice cream with crazy toppings mainly. I got the cookies cookies cookies n cream which was very good. Get the small. It's more ice cream than you think. The girl behind the count was friendly and fast. Definitely worth a try if you're in the mood for something sweet.
google avatar

Daisy W.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus is one of those places that's all over social media and a place I finally had the opportunity to try. I went in on a cooler evening so common sense told me not to go for an ice treat. Instead, we tried their hot chocolates. I ordered the salted dark hot chocolate while my friend ordered the s'mores hot chocolate. I went for the dark chocolate option as I feel dark chocolate is the healthier option. I really enjoyed the drink and it was a really nice treat. Bonus points for presentation of the drink! I feel the drink is worth the price and wish to try the other selections.
google avatar

Bev K.

Yelp
Not really sure what the hype is all about. The toppings are nice but once you get to the core it's just mediocre soft serve ice cream that is no better than a McD's cone. Sure, the ice cream is aesthetically pleasing and you can take tons of photos to post to IG but it's really a one time thing. This is especially when a small soft serve cone is $6. 2.5 stars.
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
LOVED this place! I went last summer during a work trip and me and my coworkers managed to go twice! The decorations in the store were a little bizarre, but their ice cream selection was something I've never seen before. Let me start out by saying that if you go in the evening, be prepared to wait at least 20-30 minutes in a line that wraps around the corner. It's WORTH it though. Both times I went I had the "Birthday Cake." It's vanilla soft serve that's dipped in cream cheese frosting and then covered in fresh funfetti cake batter. TO.DIE.FOR. To top it off it comes with a cute little candle so you can make a wish. There are two sizes - Biggie and Smalls. I got the smalls twice because it's the perfect size. I believe it was roughly $6 dollars. A little pricey, but it's worth the experience for sure.
google avatar

Sharon T.

Yelp
Holy mother of God. I don't know how I got suckered into waiting 35 minutes for vanilla ice cream, but I did. Some of my friends boasted this place as a "must-go" in Toronto so much that it would've been a crime to leave Toronto without going. The line flew out the door on a Sunday night and some of their specials--mainly the Red Rapture--were sold out by the time I ordered. Their checkout process would be so much easier if they had their menu out on the backboard and updated it in real time. The menus were also scattered around in the shop, so it was hard to only have a few minutes to all decide. I got the Lemon Coconut Cream Pie and the actual lemon coconut toppings were on point; I shared this with my cousins and they all agreed it was delicious but once the toppings were eaten, all we really had left was plain ol' vanilla soft serve. But being a sucker for anything red velvet, I couldn't leave without trying the Red Rapture and came back the next afternoon. I was already expecting the vanilla soft serve, masked by the toppings, but I didn't really enjoy it too much. The red velvet crumbs were too chunky and I think they were so heavy that it started falling off by chunks. The raspberry flavoring was also a weird pairing. This is pretty expensive, overrated ice cream that is nice to have on the 'gram but that is about it. It is just vanilla ice cream with a bunch of drool-worthy toppings that isn't all that jazz.
google avatar

Cynthia Eunyoung S.

Yelp
Pretty sad to see quality of Sweet Jesus going down and down as it gets older. Not to mention taste and flavours getting worse but they don't even look pretty anymore. Before when it first opened, it was at least getting credit for looking pretty and being instagram-able. Can't even serve as that anymore. Highly overpriced for what you get.
google avatar

Amy Z.

Yelp
Pricey but good! I've always been a fan of soft serve and whenever I find a place that serves a dairy-free vegan version of it, you know I'm down like Chinatown. There's so much hype here, the first time I came here, I actually ubered. You can tell how my uber driver's reaction was when he picked me up near Yonge and Dundas and asked "...am I dropping you off to get ice cream?" ..and it didn't help that it was negative 20 outside. YA GIRL LUVS HER COLD TREATS OKAY? I've been here a few times and the only dairy free option in the winter was pumpkin spice, which wasn't the best. In fact, it was kind of weird. Meh. It was probably 2/5. HOWEVER! Their spring/summer menu is back and YASSS VEGAN ICE CREAM FROM COCONUT GOT ME GOIN' NUTS. I don't remember the exact name but it was something exotic and it's a coconut dairy free soft serve with toasted coconut flakes and drizzled with dark chocolate jizz. Or not jizz. I mean.. some kind of syrup. It was delicious. I gobbled it up like it was my last meal. It was 100% a 5/5, I think my mouth begged for more and more. Anyways, the downfall of SJ- It's hella aesthetic aka it's a photo opportunity for all my Instagram thots, so it's really hyped and when places are really hyped, they turn $$$$.. pro tip: never get a "smallz" as a size. It's literally a sample cup size of ice cream. Literally the size of a Starbucks hot drink sample cup. For $5? Ya right, bye. The biggie size is A LOT bigger for $7, almost $8. Yo this cold treat is going to make my wallet cry! Why don't they have a medium? Also, just a simple soft serve without toppings is $5 alone; getting that wouldn't even make sense. Seriously, a chocolate vanilla twist soft serve is $4.95 or something. What. Plus, the place is small and when it's packed, it becomes impossible to move and it just screams "claustrophobia" TL;DR they have vegan ice cream. It's bomb dot com. But will eat a hole in your wallet. Still would recommend.
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
Now that Sweet Jesus has vegan soft serve options, I decided to check out what the hype was all about. I tried the "Bounty Killah" - coconut ice cream, toasted coconut, dark chocolate sauce. Since I don't eat dairy - and am a big coconut fan - the ice cream itself was a nice treat. However, as a whole with the toppings, it was too 'coconutty' and could have used strawberries for needed freshness. I would rather spend my money elsewhere as the price was higher than the value of the product. With that being said, if in the area I would probably go back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Sweet Jesus, I've been looking forward to trashing you for a long time! With that brutal start, I will admit that I am somewhat biased as I am an Ice Cream nut, and I think that soft serve is NOT ICE CREAM! The thing is, I'm not just hating without having a detailed explanation of my problem with this horrible phenomenon. As you can see from my photos, soft serve in the modern era is a slight-of-hand trick designed to make you pay loads of cash for virtually nothing in return. Perhaps I wouldn't hate Sweet Jesus so much if they charged a lot less. Here's the rub, you can go to some AMAZING ice cream places and pay less for real ice cream with real diverse sets of flavours and love put into the design of those flavours. When it comes to soft serve, you get a pile of discharge gussied up with a fancy covering of some kind of nice tasting flare. Any form of enjoyment that you will get out of this place will last only a few bites as you break through the outer layer. Once you are done with that, you have nothing left but this mush of disappointment drooling into the cup that you are holding. You look down and realize that you have spent close to $10 for almost nothing. PLEASE, for the love of some other Jesus, do not subsidize this business with your hard earned money.

Yelp
Tried this place when I went here with my friend once. Tried their hazelnut something..kids version and not bad. Not my favorite place to go again. It's good to go there if u r craving for icecream in summer.
google avatar

Marianne C.

Yelp
My favorite part about this Sweet Jesus location is how there's a small park infront of the store. This allows me to enjoy my Raptor ice cream en plein air over the summer! The staff are quick and helpful, especially for first time visitors. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, but I will definitely come back for more of that Red Raptor! The soft serve itself is creamy, but not too sweet. The red velvet topping makes the treat even more special!

Yelp
Last night after work I was really feeling ice cream, and since Im lactose it's hard for me to find ice cream I can consume. I saw sweet Jesus and decided I'd check it out. When I went in I was greeted by the employees, which was nice, and when I asked if there was anything non dairy on their menu the employee told me about the "bounty killah". She had explained it very well, gave me lots of details as well. After I got it, I was surprised how fast it was. It was a splendid ice cream,it was made with coconut milk, topped with toasted shredded coconut pieces and dark chocolate. The outside was crunchy and the inside was soft. It was better then I had expected.

Yelp
I visited about 2 years ago when Sweet Jesus was super hyped all over Instagram. At the time I remember the ice cream itself being cool-looking but sub par in flavour. I visited again yesterday and the flavour this time just blew me away! Maybe it was the flavours I chose 2 years ago. This time I got the Hella Hazelnut, which was HELLA GOOD. The little space outside of the store is also a cute little place within the city to enjoy your ice cream. Lots of plants and it's just lovely. It's a bit pricey for ice cream (~$6.00 each) but it's a treat, not something you'd get every day. Also, the "kid size" is definitely enough. They pile the ice cream so high that you end up with tons. I couldn't imagine having any more than the kid size.

Yelp
Birthday Cake cone was delicious. It's a very small intimate ice cream parlor. It tasted pretty good if ever in the area again I would stop by and get another cone

Yelp
There is always a line up in front of this place. I think the main reason why it is so well-known is Instagram. Otherwise the icecream itself is just okay, nothing super special. You see people on the sidewalk taking photos of the ice cream all the time, and it is all over Instagram. Portion sizes used to be gigantic. The first time I went I didn't know and got one just for myself and I couldn't finish it. I think they reduced the portions because the last time I went it wasn't that crazy. I like the regular softserve. Vanilla is always good.

Yelp
After years of hearing of this place is finally made it. I order the mini birthday cake and my friend ordered the mini red rapture. Astectically pleasing and pretty for Instagram photos and the cake pieces were a nice touch, however the ice cream itself was nothing special and overpriced. I took a bite out of my friend's and I actually liked hers a bit more (the raspberry syrup mixed in was good). The mini was quite big actually and I wouldn't mind sharing the mini with someone ($6 for a mini) because after eating the top part I gave up and threw the rest out. It's also very messy lol. My friend and I both would have preferred if the cake pieces or something else was mixed into the soft serve (like DQ Blizzard). I feel like this would be a one time thing or if they have their fruit flavoured soft serve I might just get that instead or share a cup with someone.

Yelp
Cute ice cream store with a few lactose free options! I tried the coconut (vegan) soft serve, regular size. They also had a seasonal mango vegan soft serve flavor. The portion size was substantial! I find their new sizing labels to be misleading, they have 2 sizes: "kids" and "regular". It implies that anyone who isn't a child should only order "regular", even though "kids" is their name for the smaller size. Beware of the lines and wait times in the summer evenings though!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Food: 4/5 Great summer snack. Service: 3/5 Okay. Environment: 3/5 Super busy in hot days. Washrooms: N/A Worth it?: 3/5 I have been avoiding this place for a while. The photos seemed so over the top when all I want was some simple ice cream. I was expecting to have plain underwhelming ice cream topped off with crazy topping masking the simplicity. Turns out the ice cream flavors were pretty good. Even still, I find it over priced and the line ups and craziness takes away from the experience. I will stop by again when convenient but I don't see myself craving to come back.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus is classic hipster. This place is hyped to the max and I've heard about the insanely long lines but lucky (smart?) us, we decided to go for a pre-dinner dessert after putting our name on the wait list at Pai. Smartest move ever because there was barely a line! We walked straight to the front where the hostess gave us a couple minutes to peruse the menu before ordering. The menu is all about the soft serve here. But look, they actually have paletas (Mexican frozen popsicles). Didn't even see that until taking a closer look. Interesting. You can also get coffee/drinks if ice cream ain't enough. LOL at the Summer Sixteen. - Red rapture and Oh sweet baby Jesus! ($6.50 each) - the Red rapture consisted of vanilla soft serve with red velvet cake, cream cheese icing, raspberry puree and meringue crumble while the Oh sweet baby Jesus was caramel soft serve with peanut butter and caramel sauce, chocolate-peanut crumble and chocolate sauce. The red rapture was supposed to taste like red velvet cake but that would be stretching it. You could taste more raspberry tones than red velvet. Pretty lacklustre for me. We both preferred the caramel soft serve. If you like peanut butter, chocolate and caramel, this will be your jam. Main issue we had with both is how easily it crumbles/falls apart. That and there's not much seating outside. They kicked us out of the area that wasn't part of their seating because they would potentially get in trouble for that. Worth trying once for the "experience" but the soft serve is not particularly special. Then again, they have three locations so they must be doing something right. All about the Instagram likes.

Yelp
There is so much hype associated with this establishment and in my opinion I think it's over hyped. Sure, their soft serve is piled high with toppings but the actual ice cream wasn't that great. It was too airy and the flavour wasn't strong. Good thing I order the kiddie size since for sure I wouldn't have been able to finish a regular one. There isn't much standing room inside while waiting to order nor sitting area outside. There are so many ice cream shops that I'd rather try than coming back here again.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus what a creative name for an ice cream bar! With my second visit to downtown Toronto - I usually make sure to stop at Su&Bu for lunch at least once- sweet Jesus is located right next door and I always miss it. This time I wasn't going to let that happen! I made a quick stop to the Sweet Jesus pick up counter. (They have a sitting area as well if you opt to dine in). The colour combination of a bright turquoise with the green plants was a great choice. I ordered a kids sized cookies and cream icecream cone for around 6-7$. A soft serve vanilla icecream (tasted weird like a cheese cake base) coated in cookie crumbs and chunks of Cookie dough (didn't really taste like cookie dough). Overall, I didn't enjoy this flavour-2/5. I look forward to try other flavours that may provide a better palate experience !

Yelp
Oh man, we almost skipped this place because the line was just insane. It took us half an hour to get around the corner. Finally we got our ice cream and there wasn't much of an area to sit. But the ice cream was pretty damn enjoyable. I would go back but I don't think I would wait in the line again.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus is overhyped and overpriced. I waited 30 mins which is considered fairly short, and as fun as the ideas and creations are, it tastes like regular softserve but with crumbs and stuff. If you haven't been here and you do want to see what the hype is, no harm in trying it but don't expect much. Go when the line isnt long either.
