Sweet Life Cake Shop

First time in, The tinted windows on the shop made it look closed, unwelcome, and a shady side of sketchy. I was overwhelmed with the amount of sweets in cases around the shop. No one welcomed us though there was a lady behind the counter. The honey almond butter cinnamon radiating bagel was very hard and unsatisfying. I was almost at $30 bucks inside my box after tax ($28 & change) My friend and I both good a box full of goodies, everything looked good at first. In my box, some cupcakes, a fudge brownie, a cream cheese empanada and some cannoli’s. The cannoli’s were good tho a tad sog on one end of each. 🤢😵😵 Unfortunately when when my friend broke the empanada in half and flipped it over to see how crispy brown the bottom side was because it looked as if there would be a slightly brown crispy underside to it… There was mold! 🤢🥴😵 No lie. Those pictures are attached. 🤦🏻‍♀️Disappointed, now worried if my family and I should eat the cupcakes or pull them apart inspecting them to mush to see if they’re edible. {saved cupcakes for my fam} 🤷🏻‍♀️ Literally was filming a LIVE tik tok food review on the goodies from this shop that i had gotten with my friend!! Let’s just say that the world watching on TikTok felt & thought the same way. The post is published for all of TikTok and world to see. Many comments of How disgusting and Embarrassing! ❌Excuse me, please check your pastries daily!! Toss out three day old pastries! Do better!! My spouse and I went around noon on a Sunday for our first time visit & we were the only one's there. We ordered a Mexican Sandwich, pre-made breakfast burrito, & 2 coffees. The sandwich (torta) that I ordered was so loosely wrapped it was falling apart in the brown bag that we received it in. It had 1 thin slice of ham & was missing the avocado that was listed in the ingredients on the menu. The latte we ordered was mostly milk. The restaraunt was so quiet that we felt like we were in a library and suggested the employee play music, to which she replied that someone was on the phone, so they turned it off. They also forgot to charge us, so I reminded them that we didn't pay before we left.

Very disappointed in our service here. I had been holding off finding out the gender of our baby for over a month. We were looking forward to doing a cake reveal. The website adverised gender reveal cakes but when ordering, the employee did not seem to be familiar with this. Despite this, we still ordered after an explanation. This was an $80 cake that unfortunately I feel could’ve been created more neatly at home. To top it off, the blue cake was revealed through the frosting on the side. I do not have photos of this because I quickly tried to salvage the cake to still surprise my husband before he discovered it. When trying to address things with the shop, the customer service was through text message. Very saddened to have this surprise ruined for our family.

Recently visited this little gem. I found a lot of my favorite baked goods. Usually, I had to go to a Mexican store to purchase the items I like, but they have a variety of pastries you won't find at the grocery store. The sell varies kinds of pan dulce (empanadas, Conchas, elote fino, cono relleno, y niño envuelto) as well as donuts and bear claws, to name a few. They also sell Tres Leches cakes. The cupcake selection is phenomenal. Tuesday's, they're $2.50 each. They also sell different types of bread. Bagels, bollillos, talera, and French bread. Edited: i had to edit my review. Recently, I needed a cake for a birthday, so I dropped in. They had a 4 layer cake with strawberry filling for $40. The frosting was great, not overly sweet or overpowering. The cake was firm yet moist. Forget ordering from supermarket this is my go to place now. No bakers were around, and I couldn't get it personalized.

I came in around 5pm and it was super quiet. No music, no greetings, nothing. I said hello like 3x before proceeding taking a look around. I wanted a cake and they had a few in a corner fridge. Some cakes had labels (hand written on a sticky note) carelessly laying around. One cake that I was interested in didn't have a label. It took a while to get some help and the lady helping didn't smile once, nor asked us any standard questions like "how can I help you" or " what are you looking for". She answered all my questions with 1 word. The staff member did not know prices, ingredients, or any information regarding any cake. I went with the tres leches cake and she failed to mention it had a strawberry filling. I would not have purchased if I knew this. The cakes aren't covered with anything while in the fridge and you could smell the "fridge smell" on the cake. The fruits that are used to decorate were dried out as well.... the cake itself was moist but overly sweet. Prices are insane. Who is paying $40 for a dozen of standard cupcakes??? Options for desserts are limited. The building inside is dirty, rusty, dusty, and old. The harsh white lights aren't helping either. I'm definitely not coming back because I didn't feel welcome. The whole experience felt cold.

Such a cute bagel shop! They have amazing food, freshly baked in the back. The employees here are super friendly. I've been coming here for years and haven't found a better bakery in Denver. Btw the cupcake with raspberry filling is a mind blower. I would rate this 6/5 if I could. I highly recommend this place for your next date! Ps. The decorations are super cute too.

This is my new to go place for cake. They saved my sister in laws birthday. I want to thank them for fitting me the schedule last minute. Very friendly and communication was great. 10/10 Definitely will recommend to my family and friends anytime we have an event. THANK YOU 😊
