"Nothing says kid-friendly more than a candy shop. This candy shop and restaurant provides an array of candy, ice cream, and other indulgent desserts, such as brownies and chocolate-dipped strawberries. In addition to satisfying their cravings, children can learn the craft of candy making through classes and parties, where they can create and bring home their own sweet treats." - Megan duBois

"Part restaurant and part candy store, Sweet Pete’s Candy Shop is known for its over-the-top creations. Kids especially love this ice cream shop for the unlimited topping sundaes that start at $9. Those looking to try something that’s worth posting on social media will want to get a unicorn sundae, which puts together three scoops of “magical unicorn” ice cream, a few types of candy, and whipped cream to come out looking like the mythical creature. For a challenge try getting friends together to take a spoon to Farrell’s Zoo, which is an outlandish 30-scoop sundae with plenty of toppings — including animal crackers, of course." - Megan duBois

We took the pizza class and had a great time. The instructor was engaging, funny, and helpful. The class was accessible for my son who uses a wheelchair. My only suggestion is the ramp entering the building approaches the front door that opens towards the ramp, not leaving maneuver space to enter the building. I recommend they open the other door on the left to allow to maximum ease of access.

We had the pleasure of having our daughter Lucy's first baby shower at Sweet Pete's . The experience was excellent dealing with Allison and all her advise. We had Jeremy as our host and he took care of every details. The place is beautiful.

We had an exceptional date night at Sweet Pete’s Chocolate Factory, indulging in a Chocolate Tasting and Tour. The experience was both informative and delightful, offering fascinating insights into the history and process of chocolate making. Jeff, our moderator, was full of energy and possessed a wealth of knowledge, making the tour even more enjoyable. We had the pleasure of tasting various delectable chocolates, each one better than the last. As a special treat, we even crafted our own custom chocolate bars, which was incredibly fun and memorable. The tour of Sweet Pete’s Chocolate Factory was nothing short of fantastic, giving us a unique glimpse into the world of chocolate creation. Highly recommend this tour for a sweet and educational experience!

We were recently in Jacksonville and decided to attend a class at Sweet Pete’s - AND LOVED IT! My 6yr old has a blast making pops together, learning about the process, and obviously eating it afterwards. Staff was so knowledgeable and fun teaching the process. We walked around and tried their chocolate bars, delicious. Grateful for a great time exploring Jacksonville and Sweet Pete’s.

My grandson and I attended the lovely Chocolate Bar tour this week. We thoroughly enjoyed arriving early and ordering a lovely lunch from the restaurant before our tour. The food was fresh and made to order. Our server Bernard was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was a kid’s paradise. We got to observe different candies being made and at the end we enjoyed our finished product: a yummy chocolate bar made to order! We will definitely be returning! It’s a great place for families in the nice air conditioning!

Google
The dark chocolate bar that was made for me (based on my 3 toppings of choice) was out of this world delicious. I HAD to buy dark chocolate before leaving. The tour guide was knowledgable, proud, and excited to work there. His energy was contagious. The history was very interesting: an authentic golden ticket from the movie; the owners also have the Peterbrooke co. But the best was the decor. You can't help but smile when you are there. Such a fun and amazing place!

Google
Colorful, great smells, and has ALL the great candy. Great candy classes and place for family to walk around and see candy making for FREE. Has soda cream shop set up and restaurant to eat inside. Restaurant was very busy and they weren’t prepared for the crowd that came so took a while to get food. Great tasting but slow.

Google
We did the 30 minute tour and Elle did an amazing job telling us the history and explaining how the candy was made. It was very obvious she enjoys her job!! The salted caramel and the candy bar made especially for me was excellent!!

Yelp
Description Went by Jacksonville and looked up things on google to do that was close by. Thank you to the person that explained the tours to me and was willing to squeeze me in at 4pm but the time wasn't convenient but they said we can go in the rest of the building. This is a two floor building with the first floor having a restaurant with food and full bar as well and many....many different kinds of different flavored sodas. When you first walk there there's different lollipop styles, in another room it's more chocolate based and upstairs you can get a bag and fill it up with candy that they have in containers. Met the owner and Barbara at the entrance which both were very kind as well as the other employees. When you walk in you get a sample candy which was a salted caramel type which was good. What I ordered I got the Prosecco cotton candy and to my surprise it is Prosecco with cotton candy on top of the glass for some reason not what I had in mind. We also got 4 sodas. The Mr. cola was very good taste like a clean version of Coca Cola and so was the lemon merengue soda. We bought 2 cookies and cream chocolate bars and a rocky road which were delicious. Value Depending what you get the value varies. The bigger the candy the more it cost. The sodas were about $5 each which isn't bad due to the unique flavors I've never seen anywhere else. Ambiance/Crowd This is an all age friendly place. Service The owner, Barbara and everyone else sorry that I didn't get everyone's name were awesome! Parking Snap parking area that I saw next to the place. I did go on a Sunday early before Memorial Day so there was lots of street parking available. 4 year olds thought corner He felt like he was in heaven and stated that he loved being here.

Yelp
The field trip experience for my Kindergartner was amazing!!! The guy who led it was fantastic and very good at his job. The staff on the first floor was less enthusiastic and it seemed more dirty/run down downstairs.

Destiny B.

Yelp
Please do not come here. It is great for the aesthetics. On the other hand, the food could be better. Most of our food was overcooked or completely wrong. The drink taste like they came out of a dishwasher. My patty was so overcooked I could barely bite it. We also got some wings. The wings were so tough and dry. Let's also add that there is mayonnaise on the table that doesn't get refrigerated. I wouldn't be surprised if half of this food had already been sitting out. It was just reheated up. You are better off chugging two bottles of sand with no water than to eat the food. I bet the desserts are what carries this place

Eulala A.

Yelp
If ever in Jacksonville, please go to Sweet Pete's Candy. This place is an experience. Fantastically decorated. Many photo opportunities. Now the Candy is delectable. Some of the best gummy candy I have ever had. Take the tours very interesting and interactive. The service was wonderful. Ooo...and they give samples of their salted caramels. So so so good!

Caleb W.

Yelp
The unicorn Sunday is amazing and the experience in itself was fun. We had a great time walking through the whole building and seeing how they make the candy!

MaryLou B.

Yelp
Willy Wonka vibes in the air!!! Sweet Pete's was so fun!! Literally eye candy and literal candy!!! The cool observation decks are just perfection! The menu is a smorgasbord of goodies from shakes, ice cream cones and toppings, fries, crispy tater tots and onion rings! My husband's favorite Chicago dog! It was worth devouring this classic! I had the famous tarragon chicken salad! So flavorful! We a fun Guinness shake with vanilla ice cream and a strawberry shake with extra strawberries! The patrons are from all over the map! Young and older young! This brings out the kid in everyone!!! Every room was full of sweet treats and there's also sugar free and dairy free choices. I was thoroughly impressed as the "kid in a candy store" inside me had a Foodie Adventure dreamscape to play in!!! I can't wait to come back with my adult children and see them time warp back to their childhood self. Don't forget to take cool pictures and get some fun edible treats and souvenirs :)

Maisha R.

Yelp
This was a fun place. It's great that you cannot only come to the candy, but also for a quick, casual meal. We got the cheeseburger, hotdog, and chicken nuggets for the little one. The food was actually, surprisingly, pretty good. We also tried their Creamsicle colada and the "grown up in a candy store" mocktail. The mocktail had ginger beer, strawberry purée, lime juice, and orange syrup. It was tasty, as was the creamsicle colada. We also went up to the candy floor that had old school candy, a variety of chocolates, and gummies. We added our favorite chocolates to a box of candy for $6. If you decide to use a bag, they weigh the bags and charge $22 a pound. I look forward to stopping back by Sweet Pete's for ice cream, milkshakes, and the homemade candy bars. The apple pie bar sounded very interesting!

Laureen G.

Yelp
Looks like I didn't get food poisoning. I got the worst stomach virus I've ever had. I'm sorry I accused the cooks but the way I was sick fit until my son contracted the same thing. I hope this off sets the other one.

Laura A.

Yelp
Have tried visiting this shop with different out of town guests since we moved here two years ago. Sadly, it never improves. The space and idea of the space is wonderful, plenty of for fun pictures, but much of the candy seems old and the place is dirty. On all my visits, there is never much happening in the "viewing" space. As my last guests said, we should have skipped this place and gone back to Bucee's, they had better treats!

Trang V.

Yelp
We just had a field trip here with my child's school. We had a great time, Mr. Pete himself had demonstrated some skillful candy making tricks, the kids had fun making their own lollipop! The store is super cute with beautiful decorations and unique candies, I would definitely recommend this adorable place to anyone, especially if you have little kids, they would love it here! I had the chicken salad for lunch $12, it was a generous portion, chicken tasted good a bit dried but overall, not bad for it not being an actual restaurant. The kids meal is great, biggest and waffle fries.

Melissa T.

Yelp
Sweet Pete's is a Jacksonville gem. Young or old you will love it. It's a living Willy Wonka's world. A very happy place with every imaginable type of sweet. My personal fav. Are the chocolate covered potato chips. They also have a restaurant & a party room with a harlequin checked floor. There was a shower going on when I was there in that room. It looked like a great venue for a celebration.

Judah P.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING. They were very nice and exited that we were there. We even made our own chocolate bar! They were awesome! It was nice and festive for Easter! When I left, I had a sugar rush. Great place when you are board in Jacksonville or your hungry for something sweet!

Andrei P.

Yelp
One of 904's Best Places to visit this X'Mas Season! We booked the tour with 4 of our friends who were new to JAX and tried different kinds of chocolate and learned that white chocolate is not real as it does not have any Cocoa Solids. Good to know. There were many places that we visited at the location-even where they have a presentation of how they make the candy and taffy a la' Willy Wonka plus some machinery from Germany from the 1920's that they still use today. Very cool! It was an awesome experience and we highly recommend to visit Sweet Pete's as it is fun for all ages and sweet tooths of the world :)

Yelp
This speciality milkshake, Van Gogh, can be found at Sweet Pete in Jacksonville -- on their first floor in their restaurant/ice cream side. The Van Dough is a frosty ode in celebration of the immersive art exhibit. We ordered other food but it was just ok, and the place itself was kinda not well kept. I loved the chocolate and candy options, the milkshake was delicious. But I would skip on the food.

Charlene W.

Yelp
It has been a while since I'd been there and was surprised to see the restaurant was gone but I like that the ice cream parlor is downstairs now. You can still order food just not as much. The ice cream was delicious! They allow you to rate test, the names are quite cute for some so you definitely need to test taste. It was all good but I'm a banana girl and my niece liked graham crackers. Make sure you visit all the floors, definitely a selfie spot everywhere's

Desiree H.

Yelp
Went for the chocolate tour, soo much fun. It's more for kids but we still had a blast and learned a few things.

Brandi L.

Yelp
Such a fun pretty Christmas wonderland during the holidays! You can enjoy a ton of fun things there, yummy candy in every inch you look! It was not overly busy or overwhelming. It was the perfect sight to enjoy a Christmas outing activity. They were also holding a class that looked so fun and would be looking into signing up for the next one because everyone looked like they were having a blast making a holiday goodie! The milk chocolate candies are AMAZING! Highly recommend

Sharon M.

Yelp
This wonderland is a delightful and magical place to tour, take a candy making class and dine. Great family time.

Lulu H.

Yelp
I love coming here! It's so fun! A great place to come on a Saturday afternoon with your family. The classes are fun, but educational to take. The candy is fun to try and make! The employees are always so happy and nice.

Linda G.

Yelp
If you are visiting Jacksonville, this is Must See! Ditto if you live here. The decor is amazing, the staff is friendly and the chocolate is to die for. This is a local treasure and we are happy to support local! Wonderful re-use of a historic downtown building.

Elly M.

Yelp
This place is a candy lover's dream! I am loving all the holiday decor. They also have a super fun drink menu My favorite is the ice cream here! This place is not just for the kiddos.

Scarlett G.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, it's so beautiful and has so many options to choose from.

Yelp
First time visit to this amazing candy shop/ice cream parlor/bar and grille. Cute decorations inside and out, with the amazing aroma of candies and chocolate which are made fresh on the premises. You can observe them making said treats and even try your hand at it. I had a four year old boy in tow, he was happy with just watching lollipops being made and of course had to try one. They offer smaller kid sizes, unlike a lot of places that only have the face size monstrosities that end up in hair, or the car floor, or worse in between the seats. So thank you Pete for that. We had lunch at the grille. Lil guy had kids chicken nuggets and fries, which I would say was an adult sized meal. He was happy with it and especially liked the ranch dressing. According to him, better than PDQ's ranch. I had the daily special (different each day), today was the pulled pork served on Texas Toast, a side and a drink for $10. Very tasty and a lot of food. Very nice visit.

Yelp
Looking for a great place to take your sweet tooth? Look no further, Sweet Pete's is the Disney world for sweet teeth n candy enthusiasts. The literally have every form of candy, from traditional bubble by the foot to candy with bugs in it. Candy from different childhoods like Abba Zabba and sugar sticks to Chocolate Twizzlers. You can watch them make their own candy. They have theme rooms for events. The decor is vibrant and fun. Great place for group events and family friendly outings. There is a restaurant in the building, I'll go back to try the food. Overall, definitely a must go destination, downtown (across the street from City Hall). Relive your childhood candy memories or create new adventures with different candy. I hope you have fun, I did.

Ayesha F.

Yelp
Sweet's Galore! This place has two floors of sugar crush deliciousness (3rd floor is often used for events). Color and candy everywhere. I stopped by on a Friday evening to treat my son and nephew to dinner and dessert. As we walked up the steps to the entrance, their eyes widened, and their mouths dropped at seeing what looked like a house converted into a colorful candy land. There's a cafe on the first floor that sells sandwiches, salads, wraps, and typical fried kid food. There is a full-service bar and Ice Cream creations on the menu. The first floor is also home to crafted chocolate treats. The second floor contains candy dispensers, so you can pick up your goodies and bag them. Everything is priced by weight here. I let the boys have their pick of candy, grabbed a few chocolates for myself, and then headed back to the first floor for food. I had a coupon for a cotton candy prosecco that was delicious and beautiful. I ordered a club sandwich and side salad for myself and corn dogs and strawberries for the boys. It took quite a bit for the food to come out, but we didn't mind waiting; we just walked around a bit more. The food was basic, nothing special, but it was convenient. The candy was delicious, and that's what we came for!

Rose H.

Yelp
I don't know if it was just a bad timing thing or not, but it took over 45 minutes to get our side order of fries, corn dog, pretzel & corn nuggets. There were plenty of tables open, so maybe they were short staffed? The Bavarian pretzel was hard as a rock like the hard ones you buy at the store in a bag. The beer cheese was hard and cold. The fries were good with cheese sauce. They were out of ranch. The corn nuggets were good, but they were out of ranch the dipping sauce: By the time we got our food it was cool. We had to ask for it and someone went looking. I have a tip, but didn't get any service like napkins or forks or anything so next time I'll tip less or not tip at all. We then ordered a cookie & cream crumble milkshake and a scoop of strawberry ice cream. The wait was super long. The building, the store and the idea of this place is amazing. Hoping we went at an off day. The best thing we ate were the waffle fries with the cheese sauce. Definitely will try again and hope for a better experience

Manta K.

Yelp
If you are looking for a sugar rush Sweet Pete's is your place. The building is 3 stories of sugar. The first floor is the restaurant, ice cream parlor, and a packaged candy shop. On the second floor you can purchase candy by weight (it adds up really fast, be careful), area for classes, and a viewing area of the candy making. The third floor has spaces available to rent for parties. We started off by having food at the restaurant. The menu is reasonably priced and there are options for different dietary restrictions. Note you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Cutlery, napkins, and water is all self serve. There are also a huge variety of various sodas around the country for purchase. Our food was tasty and when we were finished we ordered ice cream. Here is where we had an issue with the brownie sundae we ordered. The base was a slice of a chocolate sheet cake (sans icing). It was definitely not a brownie. For a $14 sundae we were left disappointed. On a positive note they do allow customization of ice cream flavors. The other reason I docked two stars was due to the floor being EXTREMELY sticky. My flip flop stuck to the floor a few times leaving my foot on the floor.

Casey G.

Yelp
I want candy! We have been here for a tour, just for fun and now for a birthday party. Such a fun place to visit, eat and shop. Perfect place to stop in. Only negative is the parking situation. When really busy it's tough, but this time we went early on a Saturday and it was a breeze. We parked around the corner and walked just a little bit to get there.

Brendia T.

Yelp
Attended a beautifully baby shower at Sweet Pete's today. It was our first visit & we were thoroughly impressed. What's great experience & We will be back! Looking forward to hanging out next time we're downtown in Jax.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
The best way to describe Sweet Pete's Candy shop is if Willie Wonka and Dr. Seuss had a baby. It is situated in downtown Jacksonville in a historic 23, 000 square foot three story building built in 1903 originally as an elite social club for men called the Seminole Club. During that time Presidents Roosevelt and Kennedy spoke from the structure's balcony on the campaign trail. The Victorian mansion was later purchased by family members of Peterbrooke Chocolatier franchise and transformed into a candy wonderland. The three floors each have there special sugary unique destinations. There are fine chocolates to arcade candies surrounded by candy inspired colors, decor and lighting. They have interactive parties, classes and field trips, where people of all ages could learn about candy making. When it's time to take a break from all the candy and activity, there is a whimsical cafe and bar area for a bite and a drink. The variety of the soda selection seems endless. The creative alcoholic cocktails are a fun experience. A fun outing for the family or a perfect spot to catch up with a friend Sweet Pete's is really the sweet spot!

Mike S.

Yelp
Came into Sweet Pete's on a Sunday afternoon and every time I look at it I love what they did with it. An old classic mansion in downtown Jax you gotta love it. We started off at the bar to try some drinks. I almost got the Rock Candy Old Fashioned but I had to get the the Jags Lemonade which was made with a local Blueberry whiskey and lemonade. It was really nice and refreshing. For sure a good afternoon cocktail. We also made sure to check and and when you go that you get a free Cotton Candy Prosecco and the Prosecco is on tap. I will say our bartender was great and super helpful. We then went upstairs and Ashley made a candy bag like you would do at the mall back in the day. I will say it's not priced was it was when I was a kid. Total came out to almost $40 for old sitting around candy. For sure charging too much and that seemed to be the case with a lot of their candy too and a lot of it isn't even their own stuff. It's the same stuff the mall candy shops sell. So I'll say stay away from the candy they aren't making and building your own bag but for sure stop by the bar for a fun drink.

Yelp
This review is for Sweet Pete's restaurant Fizzies and Fare: After the Van Gogh Experience my friend and I wanted to continue our "event high" to partake in Jacksonville's BEST kept secret for Happy Hour! It's true, Fizzies and Fare has the best deal in town for Happy Hour. All appetizers are half price (except the Pretzel and Lumpia), they have $5 Sangria, $1 off glasses of wine and beer, and $3 White Claw. My favorite, however, is the $3 Cotton Candy Prosecco! Happy Hour times are 3-6PM Monday through Friday. The Mozzarella Wedges served with marinara are a tasty crowd pleaser. The Basket of Fries is enormous and paired with some of the best ranch dressing I've had! The only appetizer that was a miss was their Chicken Quesadilla. The chicken was dry and lackluster in the flavor department. If you still have room you can't go wrong with their ice cream choices. Sweet Pete's has always had some interesting concoctions and a particular favorite of mine is their Ginger ice cream but the latest one with Graham Crackers is a sleeper hit! If you're looking for a walkable spot downtown that's easy on the wallet and family friendly, then Fizzies and Fare takes the cake!

Mariana B.

Yelp
It is a beautiful place for kids or anyone who likes all this deco. They have a chocolate factory, really nice to take pictures os just to know. You can buy ice cream, chocolates, a lot of candies... it's a really nice place. But the chocolate is not good. Even the dark one is extremely sweet.

Juvy D.

Yelp
It was my daughters sweet 16 birthday and she has always wanted to come here. The place is beautiful inside and out. Everyone is very friendly. There are 3 stories and you can even go up and watch some workers making candy in the shop. There are areas where you can have a birthday party for your kids. It's so cute. Tons of candy and merch. My daughter got a free sundae for her birthday! We tried the milk chocolate covered oreos, chocolate fudge, a peanut butter cup, and the sea salt caramel which was my favorite. I personally feel like it is very expensive. I spent $22 on just a few small pieces of chocolates. The parking is a nightmare. I had to park 2 blocks away and walk. There is no free parking anywhere. So the parking issue alone will probably keep me from coming back. Overall, I did have a nice experience.

Joanne L.

Yelp
My kids and I love going to Sweet Pete's during Christmas season because I just love the decorations and the festive colors and etc. I have too say we didn't go last Christmas and Saturday was our first time there during the beginning of spring and we love the decorations. The bar downstairs is everything now since they have alcohol. The service is always excellent when we got there. The ice creams we had was delicious. Being at Sweet Pete's makes me feel like a kid again, even though I'm a mother of two. ( SN:whoever is on the picture I don't know them, they just happened to be there as I was taking it, all the good pictures have my kids and I'm not posting them)

B S.

Yelp
Awesome friendly customer service. House draws you in, tables and comfy chairs by the front porch are inviting...even the person giving out samples of taffy as you enter. Swing left and you're in the room to order whatever ice cream concoction on the menu. Crazy milkshakes are overpriced but the sugar rush and experience are well worth the price.

Annie R.

Yelp
Alright, this place was so much fun! I love candy and immediately when I walked in became excited. Theres tons of chocolates and gummies and hard candys. I got the little box for $5 and filled as much candy in there as i could!! For $5 you can do a tour and get a chocolate bar that you choose 3 toppings for (from a select list). Highly recommend buying online ahead of time because they sell out time slots! They also have tons of fun classes. The 1st floor is tons of chocolates and 2nd floor is more chocolates but alot of gummies and hard candies. A ton of retro candy to choose from. So many cute little spots for photo ops!!! Didn't learn a ton on the tour, mostly a few facts then alot of showing things you can buy. Worth it though because that chocolate bar is amazinggggg. Seriously, the chocolate melts so well in your mouth. The salted caramel topping is everything you ever wanted. Seriously, try it. I haven't hosted a party here but someone was and it looked really cute! They also had a venue upstairs. If you plan to do the $20 tasting, checkout groupon for a 50% off coupon. As of May 2021, masks are not required inside Sweet Petes. I am happy about this but letting others know in case you are curious. They do require you get a plastic glove and scoop from the register and that only teenagers and adults scoop.

Kristen K.

Yelp
Live the variety of candy! The sea salt Carmel's are my favorite ! I have also been to a few events here! Highly recommend!

Kierrah M.

Yelp
Had my sons birthday there today an honestly it was the best! Our host/candy maker was amazing! he managed to keep all the kids focused on the lollipop making part and they all had a blast! I will most definitely be having another party here!

Michelle E.

Yelp
Loved the candy shop experience, Halloween decor is on point! We also took advantage and ate lunch in the cafe area. Everything was delicious. Planning on another weekend outing very soon!

Genelle B.

Yelp
Sweet Pete's was amazing it had three floors full of sweet goodness. It was Christmas time so it was decorated so lovely from top to bottom of pure holiday enchantment. On the first floor was the restaurant and ice cream parlor. At the restaurant there was a wall of soda pops to choose from, the menu is casual with burgers and fries and wing, onion rings. I did want to spoil my appetite so I ordered the corn nuggets it was good, sweet and savory, crunchy on the outside with creamed corn on the inside. On the second floor was chocolate all the chocolate covered somethings you could imagine. Dark chocolate, white chocolate, milk chocolate etc. On the third was hard candy, soft candy, gummies, retro candies and more. They also have a room where you can watch them make their candies. There was also a big room for birthday parties. And as we were leaving there were public scooters right across the street so the fun didn't end there.

Melisa C.

Yelp
Wonderful time with friends and family making a chocolate candy filled heart for my Birthday!

Lindsey T.

Yelp
This was a really fun place. We didn't Chocolate My Way tour - well worth it. It was neat to explore with a guide and to get your own yummy bar at the end! It's hard to find things that appease both my 11 and 12 year olds but this was a hit across the board. The food in the restaurant isn't gourmet but it's well priced, tasted fine and came out quick. We'd checked out the menu beforehand and went in with reasonable expectations. The servers and staff were all super friendly. We drove up from Gainesville and the kids were asking when we could go back. :)

Shawn L.

Yelp
Not the first visit but updating review based on recent visit. The staff was helpful with what I was looking for. I came in to buy a gift for a vegan. They did have a whole section of vegan options. Here are a few concerns about vegan options: 1. there were a couple tins of caramel corn. Struck me as odd since normally caramel contains milk. Interested I turned it over to look at ingredients and wouldn't you know it had milk. So yeah...not vegan. 2. The chocolates from the display case had a couple options vegan but not that many so hard to pick 30 pieces for a variety box when only 4 or 5 options that are vegan. 3 Bought the "hey sugar" box from vegan section. There was no info about what was in the box so I bought it and decided it would be a surprise all the way around. Boy were we surprised when opened it up and most of the items inside were leftover Christmas candy. A candy cane, peppermint taffy and a a chocolate bar with ground up candy cane with wrapper picturing holly. The other items were peanut butter melts that had no actual peanut butter flavor and a "lollipop" that was just a dark chocolate disk on a stick. If I wanted a Christmas variety pack of dark chocolate I would have bought that at Christmas not on April 1st. Very disappointed. I paid a lot of money for leftover Christmas candy and plain dark chocolate

Yelp
Giving this five stars because it's the closest to a must visit dessert place I saw in Jacksonville. Prices are very reasonable for pay by the pound candy ($5.50 per 1/4 pound) and scoops of ice cream. Wide variety of candies including many flavors I've never seen before - try the spicy filled mango gummies!I had the blue panda, playdough, and superman ice cream flavors. Fun environment though it's clearly no longer in it's heyday (cute ice cream parlor section no longer in use, now you get the ice cream in the restaurant part). Friendly staff/service. In sum, as Shin Chan says, yum yum gimme some!

Yelp
What happened? This place was amazing and always clean. We came to visit with our granddaughter to find a dirty place with hangover food.

Yelp
This tour was very informative and the chocolate is very smooth and rich in flavors. A very good value for money, I would highly recommend chocolate tour.

Yelp
I'm actually surprised this is in Jacksonville. This place is like a candy/sugar euporium. There's a separate ice cream parlor room, there's a full restaurant with real food (not just hot dogs and chips), there's a separate room for private parties, you can see where the candy actually gets made, you name it and they have it. They also go all out for holiday decorations, if you have kids they would love this place. Any kind of candy/chocolate (cheap) /sugar you can possibly think of is here and the space is massive - you can tell it used to be an old mansion. While they have every candy underneath the sun, and a chocolate room, I'm not convinced they have truly high end/ great quality chocolate so if that's what you're looking for I would look elsewhere. But if you're looking to make your own custom mixed bag of candy and pay by weight, this is the place. We didn't actually get anything but the employees were attentive.

Yelp
My 1st visit to Sweet Pete's and I must say it was awesome. It just so happens I went on Halloween Day. The decorations were very well put together and the staff were all dressed up in their own costumes. Customer service was excellent by the ladies that took care of me. I always say you can't be a candy store and not have a variety of new candy but the old ones as well. And if I find my peanut Chews then yes it's a successful candy store. And in the matter of Sweet Pete's it was because they had a variety of all of my childhood candy that I love. To me their bonus is having their very own Ice cream parlor. Waffle cones or cups everything was delicious! I can't wait to return to see what else they have in stock to wat!
