I love this store. I went in to grab a Too Good 2 Go Surprise Bag, which by the way was fantastic, and I was mesmerized by the assortment of chocolate specialties available. My inner Peggy Bundy went crazy when I saw all of the different the bon bons. The Lady Bug bon bon melted on my tongue, and it consists of rich creamy caramel, milk chocolate, and Hawaiian Sea Salt. The Pistachio Kataifi Rose bar was delicious! I've never had any chocolate so decadent. The first free sample piece I tasted was the Ambrosia Bark. I knew the moment that it hit my taste buds I was going to love it. I also purchased the Passion Bark, Summer Bubble Toffee, Cherry Bomb Bark, a milk chocolate lollipop, a white chocolate lollipop, the 10th Retail Anniversary Limited Edition (9 pcs.) bons bons, and the Royal Hawaiian (9 pcs) Summer bon bons. I am so enamored with Sweet Petite Confections that I am now going to be a regular customer. Bravo Zulu for a job well done ladies!

Sweet Petite Confections is a hidden gem in Clairemont! This small chocolate shop is easy to miss, but once you find it, you won’t forget it. Their specialty bonbons are incredible and the chocolate barks delicious—so creative with flavors that rotate every season and for special occasions like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and more. They also have staples like their decadent salted caramel truffles. My daughters love their fun chocolate lollipops, and they even have ice cream! It’s always such a treat to visit. We’ve also taken their chocolate-making class, which was a fantastic experience. They’ve been around for years, and I truly hope they’ll be here for many more. Highly recommend checking them out!

This place is incredible. Exquisitely and adorably handmade decorated bon bons that make the perfect unique gift. And they are incredibly delicious! They also have amazing baked goods, homemade marshmallows of different flavors, and more. They offer free samples and are super friendly so definitely head on in and give them a try.

SPC is now open for breakfast 🎉 I just had their cafe moto cold brew paired with their fresh baked pastries (bacon chives scone - UNREAL). They even had my 3 year old try all their yummy chocolate. Honestly the best customer service we’ve experienced in a long time. This will be a new weekly regular for us!

Great chocolate making class! Good explanations about how to make chocolates while making them unique to our own tastes. Michelle and her team were funny, friendly and welcoming. The chocolate tastes amazing!! Especially the ice cream sandwiches. We came from Portland, Oregon. So much better than any chocolate factory tour we’ve ever been on.

All the chocolate is absolutely beautiful! Some of them almost look like they're miniature glazed ceramics. They taste delicious as well-- the orange bark had a wonderful burst of flavor combined with good texture from candied orange peels, and the caramels are really nice as well. Flavors range from traditional to newer and innovative, so there's something to please everyone. There was an excellent selection (they sell ice cream and cookie dough too!) and the staff was kind, helpful, and eager to provide samples. I'll absolutely be back here for more chocolate.

Great chocolate and great people! My wife and I went in to ask about getting some chocolates for our wedding guests and they were very accommodating despite how close to the ceremony it was. We were very happy with how they looked and tasted and we got a lot of positive feedback from family. There are always new flavors with every season and we can't wait to try what they have next.

We came in Saturday morning for coffee, pastries, and a whole lot of chocolate. Donna was a wonderful host. The parking lot construction is disheartening for these local businesses but don't be deceived! There's still plenty of parking. Definitely a hidden gem so please get in there and give them a try!

Went for coffee. Fresh brewed decaf at my request. Michelle was amazing and offered delicious chocolate samples. I also purchased 3 different scones. Yum!!

Stopped by this place because i was craving something sweet. I bought a brownie with cheesecake, and it was amazing. Ive never had that, will definitely come back for more.

Beautiful chocolates for Easter. I bought a rooster which reminds me of the scripture in Matthew when St. Peter denies Jesus 3 times before the dawn...or ' when the cock crow'. Michelle, the owner and her helper were hospitable. I look forward to possibly taking a chocolate making class in the future with them

I have nothing but positive things to say about this lovely hidden gem. We won a party for 6 at an auction so I brought my 12 year old daughter and 5 of her friends for a chocolate making class. They had a blast! Barbie, Nancy 1, Nancy 2, and Michael were all amazing hosts. They were patient with the girls and kept them on track while allowing each to create their own special chocolates. I bought some additional treats and my whole family is loving these chocolates!

Excellent in every way! Every year better and better! Fresh delectable taste-treat ideas with great results. Today was a new discovery....skull shaped pumpkin cake with rich dark chocolate drizzle! Mojito scones so moist and fresh also a tastebud surprise! The ideas keep coming....and so do I!!!!!

5 Stars - Unexpected Magic Black currant and Parmesan shouldn't work--but it does. The tang, the salt, the chewy bite... it's rich, subtle, and unforgettable. Like a dark raspberry bon bon with a twist. Sweet Petite is small but bold. They're doing things most places wouldn't dare and pulling it off beautifully. The display is stunning--hand-painted flowers in bold colors that mirror the flavor profiles: vibrant, intentional, a little daring. It feels like a tiny gallery of edible art. The staff was informative, helpful, and generous. You feel like they want you to love what you're tasting and you will.

I came here with my girlfriend for a chocolate making class. Bottom line: a fun and unique experience with some goodies at the end. Through the class, you learn how making chocolate is a delicate process. Luckily the team at Sweet Petite will guide you with their experience and knowledge. They simplified the chocolate making process for the class to keep it fun, and so that you have delicious treats at the end of class. The goal of the class is to make chocolate bark and chocolate bon bons. You are provided full freedom over the design and flavors of your chocolate. Get as weird and whacky as you want! But ultimately, make your dream chocolate treat. The class also provided a full tasting of their ice cream. Short review: amazing. I absolutely recommend taking the class for a fun adventure. If not, come for some delicious treats and ice cream won't disappoint.

Absolutely love this shop. They are super kind and genuinely believe in the quality of chocolates they make. The chocolates are super unique and delicious! The staff/owners are incredibly knowledgeable about their chocolate and will allow you to taste pretty much whatever you want (within reason). The chocolates are a bit pricey, but I feel it's really worth it. None of it is too bitter or overpoweringly sweet. You can truly taste the chocolate and the unique flavors they add to it. I will definitely be coming back to them for more!

Just came back from stopping in for a sweet treat. Visiting San Diego and yelp steered us well. The owner and associate were both lovely, explained all their chocolates, gave us samples for anything we wanted to try, and shared their enthusiasm for their artistry - some experimental and production Halloween chocolate designs underway. Wonderful chocolate shop, highly recommend.

Came here on a Saturday during the recent heatwave as kidlet had a free cone or scoop coupon she got from school that expires at the end of the month. Kidlet picked chocolate (it was called like double chocolate or something. Picked a sugar cone. I got the Brownies, cookies and cream oh my ice cream sandwich $7. Husband got mint chip dip ice cream sandwich $7. Sandwiches were pre made which was a little disappointing. I had assumed since it was a small, speciality store it would be made while you wait, but I get why they have them pre made. Overall the sandwich was good. It stayed together very well considering it was so hot. There is not really any indoor seating (just a bench by the chocolate display) and none outside. This is a small strip mall but there was plenty of parking.

Stopped at convenience store one day after a baseball game in the area, and stock my nose into this small place next door. Found a bunch of Grandma's, Mom's and daughters, all working live elves in Santa's workshop. What a beautiful, wonderful place. I was given a complete presentation on all their goodies. I was going to pass, as chocolate is no longer my friend, When the head elf said three magic words " Guinness Stout Marshmallow ", Which struck the brewing/beer part of my brain. I bought 2 and shared with my landlords. I'll definitely go back another time, when I need special gifts for special friends...Made me feel at home...

Reasons that I adore this place: 1. Delicious chocolate - enough said!!! Just kidding, the list continues... 2. Creative and indulgent flavors. They make bon bons, barks, meltaways, wafers, and more. I love checking out their seasonal items. Some of my favorite bon bons of past and present are: Caramelized Macadamia Nut, Yuzu Caramel, Pecan Pie, and Egg Nog. The Seaside Bark and Chocolate Stout covered marshmallows are also delightful. 3. This shop has somehow turned a lifelong white chocolate hater into a believer. 4. Staff is friendly and helpful. They provide samples of their chocolates, and they are happy to share suggestions with you, if you are feeling adventurous and want to try something outside of your standard chocolate preferences. 5. Cookie sandwiches made from Niederfrank's, the oldest ice cream makers in San Diego - these are absolutely divine! Plus, Sweet Petite also sells Niederfrank's ice cream by the scoop. 6. The owner is thoughtful in selecting top quality ingredients. 7. Chocolate making classes are super fun! You can join in on one of their group classes, or you can schedule a private event - this makes for a fun birthday or anniversary celebration! There are many things to love about Sweet Petite Confections, and I highly recommend going in and finding out for yourself

My boyfriend surprised me with three flavors of ice cream from Sweet Petite Confections and I was very impressed! Wow! You've gotta try this ice cream. It's incredible

I've been a customer for several years but tried the chocolate making class on Valentine's day. First off the class was very enjoyable and perfect for a date. The class is in the back of the cute little shop. You make bon bons, chocolate bark and chocolate dipped strawberries. On both the bon bons and bark you get to pick from an amazing assortment of flavors and things to add in like fruit, nuts, chips etc. I made passionfruit caramel with toasted pistachio bon bons and a Mexican hot chocolate flavored bark. Both were excellent and professional appearing. The class was a lot of fun and they even allowed you to bring a bottle of wine. I highly recommend the class. I'd like to make a plug for the chocolates in general. The store uses very high quality chocolate and has unique flavors. The chocolates are also very attractive. If you click on some of the pictures on the website, I think you will see. I highly recommend supporting this excellent, local San Diego company!!!!

The classes are great and so much fun for both my myself and my family. It is very much worth it to attend and enjoy with friends and family.

This place is a great place to get something sweet for yourself or others. They sell ice cream, sherbet, chocolates, marshmallows, among other candies. It's a cute shop where it looks like they make their own creations. I really like that you can actually read the list of ingredients - unlike the ones you impulsively buy at the checkout stand. This place is perfect to shop for gifts because they tailor some of their chocolates for events, thank-you's, and holidays. They create sweets for events, so it's a great place to get sweets with a personal touch. So far, I'm a fan.

This business provided ice cream reward certificates to my daughters school as a business promotion. Through hard work and good behavior my daughter earned two certificates. Due to COVID we were unable to redeem before the expiration date. Eventually my wife took my daughters in to reward them and was planning on buying other goodies and giving a good referral to our neighbors. Unfortunately the cashier refused to honor the certificates because they were "expired." My wife and kids were very disappointed they wouldn't honor the promotion. Needless to say we won't be coming back. What a shame.

This little family owned business has such good chocolates! The workers there are super kind and sweet! They have a great place but small inside but good enough for all the chocolate. They even offer a class where you learn to make the candy! I found them by seeing them at a farmers market and went it to the store to purchase more! They have these caramel ones that's literally melt in your mouth! Give these guys a try for your custom made chocolates as well they're so freaking cool!

Service was great. Everyone was friendly and kind, offering up samples which I think was great. The quality of the candies and caramel was great. Everything was packaged and displayed very nicely. My only complaint would be the lack of options... Not sure if I stopped in at a time that there was less than usual? I was a bit underwhelmed and longed for more... Either way it was delicious and a great shop to have a sweet treat or a gift.

What a treat to be sneaking bites of chocolate and sipping wine while taking a Wednesday afternoon away from the office. I came to Sweet Petite Confections with my team from work to get a lesson on making chocolate barks and filled chocolates. Entering Sweet Petite Confections, Michelle and the staff had everything ready and set out. We quickly got our name tags and picked out our patterns for the filled chocolates. Once everyone got their supplies and a glass of wine Michelle walked us through the steps for creating the chocolate shells. Even in the tight space, we went through the steps without any issues. I loved going to the goodies table to pick out a combination of ingredients for the bark. Barbie was great in helping us scrape the chocolate from our bowls so that we can sneak a few bites. In between, Barbie let us sample some of the gelato and barks that they sell. At the end we each left with 15 pieces of filled chocolates and a bag of our creative barks.

We came into Sweet Petite Confections on the recommendation of a good friend so I was expecting the chocolates to be good. But the chocolates were excellent and the customer service was fantastic!! Since it was our first time to the shop we took a long time. We never felt rushed and everything we described is such detail. We were able to sample a few items and honestly they were all amazing! I think we were a bit overwhelmed so we ended up with one each milk and dark chocolate lollipops, a salted caramel ice cream cookie sandwich, and a raspberry guts filled milk chocolate frog. Our treats were package with care and detail. We will definitely be repeat customers!

My husband bought me some sweet treats from this small business in Clairemont! I haven't been to the location, but am soon feeling that I need to based on what my husband brought home. He bought me the milk chocolate hazelnut, lavender and rice crispies chocolates. The milk chocolate was so smooth and rich, and each of the chocolate packs had some sort of crunch or rice crispy in them. Evidently, my husband and his staff got a tour and education as to how their chocolates are made. I can only imagine the yummy smell and samples galore!!! Can't wait to visit this place myself.

This place has the best chocolates in San Diego, they are as tasty as they are beautiful. Their ice cream sandwiches are to die for. Fun classes too!

first time going to a chocalate class so much fun to make your own bark and bon bons. so many options to flavour the bark and bons bons. i wish i saw them making the melted chocolate and putting bon bon trays together. even the ice cream was delicious. best part was taking it all home.

Just tried the new Caramel Holiday Salted Dark Chocolates. A big hit in our household. We are so grateful for their employee 'Donna' going above and beyond arranging delivery of these great tasting treats to my home while I was recuperating from surgery!

I can definitely tell the difference between store bought chocolate and this chocolate. Their chocolates are so smooth and creamy. Purchased a great valentines basket and will definitely be ordering for my daughters graduation party. Support small business!

Sweet Petite was a nice find. In a bit of an obscure spot, small store front. Their chocolate was delicious, so smooth and creamy. I liked the mint and passion fruit very much. The chocolates were also very beautifully decorated. They make a gorgeous gift or treat for yourself. The flavors of the sorbet were too subtle. If I didn't know what flavor they were, pear and grapefruit, I wouldn't have been able to guess. The texture was perfect though, reminded me of Hawaiian shaved ice. Will have to try the ice cream next time! The service was great. Friendly and considerate.

I am not a lover of sweets however when it comes to Sweet Petite Confections I think I have an addiction. This is not your regular over the counter type of chocolate this is gourmet. Everything is handmade at the store and the owner will let you sample the flavors. Their are bon bons, truffles, bark and so much more. Their are seasonal as well as special occasion chocolates. As for flavors, you name it this store carries it. However I must admit my favorite is the salted caramel. I recently had the bark with almonds, I could not put it down, The chocolate had the taste of decadence - rich and creamy goodness in my mouth. Their was a beautiful design on the bark...it almost looked to good to eat however that did not stop me. I've also tried the individual six piece of individual flavors. Each had it's own unique taste I don't know which was my favorite. If you are looking for something special this is the place to go.

Took my daughter (10) today to a chocolate making class at this store and we absolutely LOVE IT! The class was so fun and with the most lovely people helping around. The chocolate bonbons and the bark are so yummy. After class we bought some ice cream sandwiches and let me tell you: they are sooooo good!!!! Thank you so much Michelle, Nancy 1&2, Brad and Lucy. I love my chocolatiers! They are truly hard to find!! I needed a gift for my uncle who has everything. What better gift then hand crafted, Rich chocolate! This is a true find. Friendly, creative candy and staff. Lot's of samples too!

What a lovely gem of a ice cream, dessert, and luxury chocolate store. My daughter happened to find this place and we all loved everything we purchased. The ice cream was so flavorful and amazing. The chocolate was not only a work of art but tasted heavenly. We can't wait to go back and take a chocolate art class!!!

Came here to find my wife some unique Valentine's Day chocolates. I was very impressed with the clean and organized shop they have set up. I was able to look at their selection while the upbeat staff showed me the different pre-arranged Valentine's Day options they had. The prices ranged from $11 to $32 for what I was looking at. They also gave me samples to taste several of the chocolates that were included in the arranged boxes. I picked a $32 "Steampunk" themed box with 8 different chocolates with 2 of each. Their designs on the chocolates are unique and looked fantastic. But the taste of the chocolates were beyond phenomenal and my wife agreed. She is very picky about the quality of chocolates so I was relieved to see that she loved them. Along with a gift wrapped bag, the shop gave me information on chocolate and the classes they offer. Overall, they had a helpful, professional, and talented staff.

I came here today (for the first time) for a private chocolate making class that a friend invited me to. It was amazing. Such a fun experience. We were able to make our own dark chocolate bark and bonbons to take home, choosing from different designs and ingredients. Not only was it the best tasting chocolate I've had, I loved the whole experience and being able to customize it. Michelle is so fun and personable. Her chocolate designs are incredible. Such a fun time. Will definitely be back!

Chocolates here are amazing!! Beautiful to look at and even more wonderful to eat. We've taken numerous chocolate making classes here and loved what we created! Sweet Petite is also a terrific place to shop for a nice gift for a friend or yourself or grab some ice cream sandwiches made with an assortment of delicious seasonal flavors.

On my goodness!!! Wanted to surprise my husband with some really nice chocolates. Have found it not so easy here in San Diego. Saw the reviews of this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. The shop is in a very unassuming location but what it lacks in curb appeal it totally makes up in flavor. These chocolates are sooooo good. Really amazing flavors and they all look pretty too. I got some caramels and 3 different bark flavors. Everything thing was incredibly delicious. My new fave place. And even better, the lady behind the counter was super nice and helpful. I recommend this place if you love great chocolate!!!

WHO knew this was hiding right in quiet Clairemont? It's SUPER close to my house which is dangerous information. I came here to check it out (conveniently, right before valentine's day so I purchased chocolate for all my valentines) and was super impressed by the sweet feel of the store, the helpful and attentive staff, and the gorgeous products all around. The prices have a wide-ish range but are definitely reasonable for what you get. The design on the chocolates is beautiful, too! This is such a treat for anyone. AND the flavor is DELICIOUS. I bought my friends the salted caramel assortment (12 pieces, light and dark chocolate) and it was AMAZING. Think high class, extra delicious, fancy Rolos but way better (and Rolos are great to begin with). I bought my baby boo the peanut butter chocolates and they are SOOOO delicious! The texture is great, the ratios are so good, and the quality is impressive! Definitely come here! No occasion needed.

So fun! My husband and I attended the chocolate making class and had such a great time. I loved learning about the art of chocolate making, while creating my own delicious combinations and sharing laughs with the other patrons. The owner is a total pro, and thanks to her and the awesome staff, our chocolate bonbons and bark came out tasting fantastic AND looking beautiful! Plus now I know where to go to buy gifts and sweet treats. This is hands-down the best chocolate in town, highly recommended.

This is one of the best chocolate makers in the area. I have not been to this location, however, I have been gifted their creations on many occasions. I absolutely love the salted dark chocolate!!!! It makes other choices seem dull in comparison and always leaves me smiling. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs to give a gift, is craving something sweet, or anyone that likes to try new things. Second time I went back. Got some pumpkin chocolate bark, some flowery chocolate, Tuscan sun (second time around) that has tiny bits of sun dried tomatoes and mint chocolate chip ice cream and some mint chocolates, Extremely good, interesting flavors lots of testers and excellent prices. I have signed up for I want to go to the wine and chocolate tasting, And they have chocolate classes too. She is sooo extremely nice and kind great personality.

So lucky to have this business in our neighborhood! The chocolates are made with care. They are beautiful works of art and taste even better. I love to give them as gifts! They make ice cream, too! The ice cream sandwiches...passion fruit, peanut butter and lemon/blueberry (just to name a few-flavors change based on availability) are my favorite!!
