Sweet girls working the front. Awesome variety of candy, very clean shop. The bad reviews are dumb, of course it’s expensive cause of where they’re located, you can go to the dollar store if you’re that cheap. Candy does get sticky if it’s too solid sometimes that’s stale and old. 😏 Don’t downplay small business owners, unless you legitimately were treated horribly. The mint chocolate chip never fails, I love my spoon changing colors feels like I’m a kid again. Got me milk chocolate turtles. 🐢 come try for yourself! Nice cute seating area out front!

SHOP AT THE HEAD NUT CANDY SHOP NOT HERE!! If I could give zero stars I would, and by the look of other reviews they would deserve it. Spent almost $50 on candies and treats, and firstly all of the "bulk" candy was clearly stale and had been out for a long time. My partner and I also purchased treats called "thin mints" (which any google search would tell you thin mints = girl scout style cookie treat) but when we opened them at home they were peppermint patties, a completely different treat and not something either of us like. We went back today to see if we had been given the wrong thing or if they could help us, and the woman there (assuming she was the owner/manager by her demeanor) was so so unprofessional and dismissive! We walked in and no one greeted us, the "owner" woman was at the register on her cell phone talking and turned away from us upon walking in. After a few minutes a young girl came out and helped us, so I explained the miscommunication the day before. The owner (note, she was also in the store the day before during our initial transaction) interrupted to explain in a pretty condescending way that they meant something different by "thin mints" and that we clearly did not know. She then got back on her phone and turned her back, clearly did not care that a customer was unhappy. I explained to her employee that this was clearly a miscommunication and can they help us with switching to a candy we like or give us a refund, and she quickly refused and offered no other path to making the situation right. So disappointing to want to support a small business, just to realize they completely don't care about what they are selling or who they are selling to. Seriously, go to the Head Nut candy shop in town instead.

I’m a candy lover and have traveled globally looking for a store that has it all. There’s duty-free at Heathrow, La Belgique Gourmande in Brussels and now Sweet Stuff in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, located in Suburban Square. Sweet Stuff’s amazing selection of chocolates, custom candy gifts for personal and business, Bassett’s ice cream accompanied with a freshly baked “The Famous 4th Street Cookie” exceeded my expectations for a candy store. They specialize by offering gluten free and vegan ice cream as well. For me, one of the most important aspects of a candy store is what’s in the bins. Sweet stuff has bins and bins featuring a great variety of gummies, jelly beans, old fashioned penny candy and even more than can be mentioned. And it doesn’t stop there. This is a family-owned business that delivering the best, freshest and most unique candies from everywhere! It’s clearly worth the visit and more important the take-away......great candy! Google
It is a great store with a wide assortment of sweets. I found what I needed for a themed gift bag.

Google
This place has a cute vibe to it and you can pick and get old time candies that you dont really think you can find elsewhere.

Google
I used to go here weekly years ago when I was in college. Tried to go there yesterday and took a 45 minute drive to find out they were closed. Their hours aren’t posted anywhere, and online it says they’re open util 10p, which is not true. The products from here are good, but if you’re traveling to come here, call in advance.

Google
Two thumbs up for Sweet Stuff. I've been a loyal customer for more than 25 years now and they've never disappointed me. I love walking in to the rich smell of chocolate, the huge array of candy and chocolate options, the vast assortment of holiday candy gift items, and the always welcoming staff. My daughter grew up on all their great candy options, and I have frequently used their boxed chocolates as gifts for both family and even clients. I always make a huge impression on clients when I bring Sweet Stuff chocolates to a settlement. The decor reminds me of candy stores from my childhood and I love the addition of ice cream to their offerings.

Google
I love stopping here each year while doing our holiday shopping. It smells wonderful when you walk in, like a chocolate paradise. Great selection and friendly helpful folks working there. The chocolate pretzel plates are divine, a family favorite for us mmmmmmm

Yelp
While being an amazing spot to get candy, I have to say the ice cream is to DIE for - quite litterally. The ice cream never fails to do an amazing job at ripping apart my intestines . It isnt just because milk hurts my stomach, everyone I eat it at the same time with agrees. Im mid shopping and all of a sudden the pain knocks on the door to my stomach and lets itself in.... Hello?!?! THE PRICE?!?! For that hard earned money I worked for, I get a stomachache in return? At least this ice cream is more predictable then the men in my life though....

Yelp
Fun old school sweet shop with hundreds of candy! Available to buy by the pound as well! I'm talking fudge, rock candy, chocolates, gummies- pretty much every candy you can think of, they have it! I opted for Bassets world famous ice cream. It was fresh, creamy and served with a color changing spoon that reacted to temperature. Made the process of enjoying my ice cream that more fun! I got cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles, a true treat on a hot day!

Yelp
Excellent store with tasty treats. I always enjoy the experience. When I think candy, I think Sweet Stuff the best variety ever.

Yelp
I work across the street from here and I love entering during my breaks! There are so many options on candy and there's even vegan options as well for ice cream

Yelp
The store has been around for a long time in Ardmore, it just moved location... The owner is a sweetheart, no pun intended... Or maybe a little... I love going into the store even the smells draw you in. The store has everything, when you walk in as an adult you're like a little kid in a candy store! I love nonpareil's, chocolate ones... That's all I ever come in for... There's always plenty of help here plenty of people to help you find what you may need... Great gift ideas also... I recommend the store!

Yelp
This place is great. I just went in for the ice cream which they had multiple flavors to choose from. I got the peach vanilla and it was amazing. The place is compact and every corner is filled with candy. If you're a sweet tooth, this place is a must. I like sweets but not to this extent. If you're in the area and want to get ice cream on a hot day, you should definitely stop by. Staff is very friendly and they all treat you very well. They have a little outside sitting area where you can enjoy a little break.

Yelp
Such a cute little confection shop. Parents beware, not only do they sell tasty ice cream from Bassett's Creamery they have a wall to wall variety of sweet-sugary-confectionary-delights. I definitely will be bringing my nieces and nephews here when they visit.

Yelp
Good ice cream place. My son always gets the strawberry one. Good enough sweetness.

Yelp
It's a candy shop including ice cream which I think is so cute! Amazing ice cream flavors too! Plus they also have these cute magic spoons that turn blue when you eat the ice cream!

Yelp
I love all the candy options available here at sweet stuff! They have so much variety and it's just what suburban square needed. They are a bit on the pricer side because they have no competition ; if they lowered their prices in pretty sure this place would get swarmed with customers. I do love that you get to choose the amount of candy you want to put in your bag. They do price the candy by weight so even if you're adding a couple more pieces of your fav candy to your bag it can change the price by almost a $1; so be careful if you don't want to spend too much. For instance a small pack of twizzlers is almost $3 & would normally be $1 at the local grocery store.

Yelp
I came in today to look for a gift for my bosses birthday. The two women who I think owned the business were so nice and helpful. The have every type of candy you could ever dream of. Every type of chocolate to gummy candy. They have ice cream and milkshakes as well. While I was there a police office came in and from the conversation she was a regular and loved their peppermint patties.

Yelp
Walking into this place made my sweet tooth come alive, and I felt like a kid again. The store is stocked with all sorts of colorful and wonderfully-smelling candies. The employee working was super nice and helpful. There are many cool candy baskets on sale that would make a nice gift for someone. I can definitely see myself returning to buy one at some point. I ended up buying a few milk-chocolate-covered caramel and cashew patties, which you tend to find mostly in specialty stores like this one, and they tasted amazing! Definitely a fan of Sweet Stuff!

Jules C.

Yelp
Owners and staff are so incredibly kind. This is one of my favorite spots to grab a quick treat for a gift because they wrap it so cute. They have a huge selection here. There's truly something for everyone. Love having it in the neighborhood.

Anthony H.

Yelp
I would highly recommend Sweet Stuff to anyone in the area looking for well-made and high-quality candy, baked goods, and desserts overall. The staff has consIstently been amicable, and I'm very happy to have the store as an option!

Danielle V.

Yelp
I am amazed by all of the reviews that describe the owner as kind. I don't think in over 30 years of living and purchasing goods on the main line that I have ever encountered any owner more rude. I happened to be on a budget the day I recently visited this store and naively announced this. In that instant I was treated with an incredible disrespect. For further context, my mother owned a business in Bryn Mawr for 20 years, which I also worked in, and I was also an assistant Manager for another major family operated store on Lancaster Avenue throughout graduate school and college. I know a consumer can walk into a store on a budget one day, and yet the very next week might have occasion to splurge in the hundreds of dollars for an item, as I have witnessed, and also done in the past. I was also surprised by the fact that I could be treated so rudely when there is a phenomenal operation and competition literally next-door to Sweet stuff. Really, there is no cap in regards to all of the incredible bakeries and relevant stores available throughout the Main line and Philadelphia area. I am also aware of word-of-mouth, and the general courtesy that should be provided a customer, regardless of their income, that I did not receive. We will not be returning. I do anticipate having other opportunities to splurge on similar goods at many of this store's fine competitors.

Yelp
Prices are a little high, even for suburban square... However service was superb and the wide verity of options makes this any sweet lovers paradise. Small store front but floor to ceiling options both sugar free and sugar full. I can't wait to go back in there and try a few items, the smell alone was intoxicating and wonderful.

Colleen M.

Yelp
The best! Every kind of candy imaginable, from gummies to gourmet chocolate truffles. Gorgeous custom gift arrangements for holiday time (and they always have some cute gift items to pick up last-minute). The shop now has ice cream (it's great-Bassett's I think) and store-baked cookies that you can enjoy on one of the seats outside on a summer day.

Judy S.

Yelp
Best candy store in Ardmore, PA. The owner and her staff are super friendly, very accommodating and the best customer service ever! Had a very positive experience and was treated very nice. Great selections. And their ice cream, Bassetts' is from Philadelphia!

Yelp
Prices are really high- even in Suburban Square. But I like the store, it's cute, smells WONDERFUL and crammed full of goodies! A huge variety of different kinds of sweets both in prepackaged little bags or self serve. There is also a little counter with truffles and such. I have had a few varieties of the truffles they are good! If you have the money to spend it would be a good place to pick up gifts- everything is packaged beautifully and there are sugar free options as well.

Marisa C.

Yelp
Cute candy store in Suburban Square, now serving ice cream for the summer! I'm really picky with chocolate, and so is my family. After sampling their chocolate and loving it, I didn't hesitate to purchase gifts for my family as well. Everyone raved about it, not to mention the store does some nice gift wrapping! The dark chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite, but I've also tasted chocolate covered raisins and cherries, yum! They're definitely a little overpriced, but I don't mind paying for high quality chocolate. They also have endless options of other candy that you can scoop from containers and pay for by the pound (think sour patch kids, gummy bears, m&m's, etc). I do think they'd attract more customers if they lowered the prices for these generic candies. Overall a great place and I definitely recommend. I can't wait to try the ice cream!

Jack S.

Yelp
Nice people. Great candy. Gift wrapped nicely. Great chocolate covered pretzels. Homemade ice cream due soon. Can sit outside and eat during the hot Summer. So, maybe a fine candy store. An only get 4 stars. BUT. They have their own parking behind the store. The area is terrible for parking. This gets them 5 stars.

Gwen J.

My daughter grew up on all their great candy options, and I have often used their boxed chocolates as gifts for both my family and even clients. Maria prepared take home gifts for my daughter's Sweet 16 party in addition to table decorations. The kids were blown away. And, I always make a huge impression on clients when I bring Sweet Stuff chocolates to a settlement. (I can't forget to mention that the gift wrapping on candy gifts is over-the-top awesome.) The decor reminds me of candy stores from my childhood and I love the addition of ice cream to their offerings. If you haven't discovered Sweet Stuff in Suburban Square you must check it out!!

Yelp
I'm a candy-holic and I was not impressed. Their selection wasn't unique and they had a bunch of bins full of clearance Easter candy in MAY. The chocolate-covered pretzels were great and that is what made me give them 3 stars instead of 2.

Yelp
I have the ultimate sweet tooth, so I often find myself popping in here when I need a break from work. They have a ton of bulk candies, specialty chocolates, and food gifts. My only gripe is that their prices are high.

Don V.

Yelp
We found their selections of chocolate to be excellent. In addition, the young sales lady was most gracious and helpful in our selections for a gift box. Her gift wrapping was beautiful.

B. S.

Yelp
My neighbor gifted me a box of Sweet Stuff assorted chocolate covered pretzels for New Years Eve. These were coated in white, milk and dark chocolate. Some were plain others had m&ms and colored non-pareils sprinkled on top. They positively were delicious!!! Some of the best that I have ever eaten.
