Awesome ice cream! They make their own ice cream at the store, which is rare for many ice cream shops these days. Great selection of flavors! They have a lot more than ice cream: also fudge, popcorn, and other candies that they also make there. Wonderful and friendly service. This is a must stop if you like ice cream.

Super cute little ice cream and candy shop! They have a great variety of ice cream flavors and prices were reasonable. We visited a few times during our time in Grand Haven and the service was always friendly. They also have a drive thru which is a nice touch!

sweet temptations has the best caramel corn i've ever had in my life. i first discovered it supporting a softball team fundraiser, then when i got my order it was the most delicious, heavenly, sweet popcorn. i sought it out more and was devastated to find it's over an hour drive away from where i live. nevertheless, whenever i visit the west coast of michigan i make a point to stop by. for holidays now my family will go to grand haven to buy me more of this amazing caramel corn. no other caramel corn comes even close to touching the terrific texture and flavor of sweet temptations' caramel corn. it melts in your mouth and provides the most satisfying crunch. each piece is perfectly coated. truly the most tempting sweet i've ever encountered

I have a an extreme sugar addiction, and this place is completely enabling me in a good way lol. Great fudge selection all the classic flavors such as peanut butter, vanilla, chocolate raspberry etc. The ice cream was my highlight. The large shake for $7.75 is a great cool down after the beach.

Oh my goodness! What an amazing experience. I was being helped by Dylan on 03/30/25 where he did not only provide customer service but hospitality as well. I was picking up a sundae for my grandmother in a nursing home nearby and he had made one, but because I had to travel to another location I came back in to ask for another container to help keep any spilling contained. He offered me instead an entire new sundae in a different cup so that it was easier to transport. It was such a nice interaction and he did not have to go out of his way and he did. Not many people Dylan’s age would have been able to use creative problem solving to fix a problem and also help the customer the best you possibly can. Give him a raise!!!! Will definitely be returning here again :)

More candy store than ice cream shop. Staff that helped us was very sweet. Ice cream is in-house made. Flavors are quite standard, nothing out of the box. We shared a flight of 5 flavors for under $8. Big scoops for a sampler! Pumpkin pie flavor was our least favorite - kind of artificial tasting.

The owner (I presume is the one who helped us) was very welcoming!! She had a big smile on her face and greeted us within seconds of walking in. Best part was walking in and watching a mom and daughter enjoying the ice cream with a smile on her face. One of the best mom and pop ice cream shops I have ever been too. We drove a couple hours to watch the sunset and got some amazing sweet treats with it!!

The ice cream we chose was not that great. Didn't like the waffle as well. Parking available.

Great ice cream, have spent probably thousands of dollars here over the years, and am the FIRST to recommended their ice cream cakes to anyone who will listen to me go on about them, but will avoid this location from now on. The lady refused to give us two flavors with a single, and went on about how she was going to "talk to her staff" when I mentioned I'd ordered that way before. She said a "single" means only ONE flavor, and TWO flavors has always been a double. At other locations you can get half and half, I don't see why it's such a big deal. There's no need to give your staff a talking to. It's not like we are asking for double the amount of ice cream by doing a single with 2 flavors. Their staff is so nice and hard working, now I'm just hoping she's not yelling at them about this, as ice cream is not that serious. Do order an ice cream cake for your next birthday or event, you won't regret it. Edit: I think it may be a "small" at the other locations" and not a "single" like I had thought was at all locations. My bad on that. I do still think it's stupid you can't do half/half on a single but can on a single unless I'm completely missing something

Sweet Temptations is a definitely stop on the map when visiting Grand Haven! It's open year-round (unlike the other family-run locations), which means you never have to stifle your homemade fudge, ice cream, or popcorn craving! Yay :) They also do a fantastic job putting together baskets, and make the best gifts for family, friends, colleagues, really anyone! Be sure to check them out here, or in the summer any of their other locations for a tasty treat!

Ice cream had an artificial flavor and the popcorn stale. Just not like it used to be.

I love Sweet Temptations! I am allergic to both cows milk (the protein) and soy and they have a nondairy option that I can eat! Harbor Island fudge nondairy is my fav & they also usually have some of their flavors in pints to take home too. Most other places only offer sorbet or soy based nondairy options and it's so nice to have something that is more like icecream! I drive 30 mins just to get their nondairy icecream. They don't offer it in the winter though so eat up in the summer or order a giant tub ahead of time to take home for the winter. They also own the one downtown GH (not sure if they have nondairy icecream, it's been a while since I've been to this one), The front porch in Spring lake & scoops (best sorbet I've ever had here too). I know the front porch also has their nondairy icecream too.

I used to live across from this place and I loved it! They make their own ice cream in so many wonderful flavors. One of my favorites was malt. I'd always buy a quart or two of different flavors. I wish they sold this grocery stores. The candy shop are has a large selection of many types of candies and old school candy we all used to love when we were kids and when our parents were kids. The chocolate covered anything from this place makes great gifts. Nuts, pretzels, popcorn, Oreos....strawberries. Every town needs a place like this. They have a drive through too!

I purchased both fudge and ice cream from Sweet Temptations. The ice cream was good. Unfortunately, the fudge was subpar for the following reasons. I purchased the chocolate fudge with walnuts. I thought the sample tasted okay, but when I returned home to Detroit and are more after dinner I realized that the flavor was off because the walnuts were stale. The stale walnuts ruined the flavor of the chocolate fudge, which was smooth and creamy. I also sampled the Snickers flavored fudge, which tasted great but was too gritty with sugar crystals so I opted not purchase any of that flavor. It's a shame that their product quality suffers from stale walnuts, which could have been easily avoided by tasting the components before making the final product. This reflects poorly upon the owner. On a positive note, the place was clean, the employees were polite, and I would return again for ice cream. If I purchase fudge from them in the future I will be more critical in my taste testing, especially if products like nuts are incorporated into the fudge. I hope the owner reads this review and takes corrective action.
