If I could give you a rating of minus 1,000, I would. One got the soup of the day which was some kind of ginger and some other spice. It was dark, thin, tasteless and had almost black pieces of disgusting, limp, slimy romaine in it. Also got the Caesar salad and it was even worse. Very dark and slimy romaine with not much else in it. The person who expected a nice lunch said he had eaten that salad all around the world and that this one was the worst, by far, of any he had ever had anywhere. The other person had the chicken salad on your homemade roll. Nothing special at all about the little chicken salad that was on the high, tough, hard roll. Could hardly bite or chew it and it had no special taste at all, the roll I mean, but that also goes for the salad. We had the tea which was not sweet and three packs of sugar in each one did nothing to stem the bitterness. I told the other to not eat any more than the couple of bites already taken, because I was sure it would be stomach churning at best for the rest of the day. Took my chicken salad in case I wanted a snack later, and we left, almost $25 poorer. Went to a Mexican restaurant and paid almost another $25 to finally have a meal. Did put that bit of chicken salad on one piece of bread in the evening. Could have and should have made it myself in five minutes in my own kitchen and actually put some extra good things in it. Restaurants in Abilene are not really known for quality or quantity, but this one is beyond the pale. How you stayed in the catering business in Austin for all those years is beyond us. Even with our learned low expectations here, we doubt you will make it beyond a few months. Anyone want a $20,000 vent hood--cheap?
