My husband and I tried 14 different wedding cakes before choosing our wedding cake, and Sweet Treets Bakery was hands-down the most delicious wedding cake! We chose the almond wedding cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the cake was. Additionally, Sweet Treets created the most beautiful 3-tier wedding cake we could have ever imagined! 10/10 recommend!!

I want to thank Sweet Treats Bakery for my absolutely beautiful and colorful wedding cake! It was absolutely stunning, we were both so happy with how fun and unique it was. The vibe check was passed with this one! I provided a couple inspiration photos and color requests for direction and description, but WOW did Sweet Treats create something memorable!

I worked with Sweet Treats for my baby’s first birthday cake. I wanted a baseball theme, and they provided multiple options for me and executed better than I could have expected. Everyone there was so friendly and we had lots of compliments on the cake and cookies ☺️

I am so glad that I chose Sweet Treats to cater my wedding. Their team, especially Virginia Acker, provided amazing service. They made the whole wedding planning process interactive, quick, and easy. They have an amazing selection of desserts, all of which are delicious. They were able to accomodate for food allergies/sensitivites and our uncommon wedding schedule (I had a Monday wedding). We selected an assortment of cookies, pop-tarts, mousses, cheescakes, tartlets, in addition to our wedding cake. Everything tasted as good as it looked; our guests would not stop talking about how great it was. Definite highlight of our wedding night. My husband and I plan to stop by for our 1-year anniversary to get some of our favorite treats.

Almond vanilla cake is good. Every cake is not too sweet. It's a perfect sweet with a coffee. I can had a room and then had cakes. It was a good experience.

Christina at Sweet Treets made my experience completely seamless, when ordering a custom, designer cake for my best friend's birthday. My situation was unique, as I had to do this completely remotely from Seattle, for my best friend in Texas. Christina made me feel at ease with the whole process and helped me deliberate on exactly what I wanted the cake to look like. She was thoughtful and took her time and it is one of the most exquisite cakes I have ever seen. Upon delivery, my best friend said it was the best cake they'd ever seen! Cannot recommend this bakery enough! They will make your cake dreams a delicious reality!

Thank you so much Sweet Treets for making the most incredible wedding cake I have ever seen and had! We ordered a custom 20” tres leches layered in strawberries and they did not disappoint! They went out of their way to build the cake onsite to ensure that it came out just right, and it was nothing short of perfection and delicious!! I could not recommend them enough! Everyone was absolutely raving about this tres leches!

I have been using this bakery for 6 years now for my kids birthday cakes and cupcakes. They go above and beyond every time. We are always so amazed how they can nail a design and make the cake taste amazing. We will keep using them forever we love so much.

We had an amazing wedding cake tasting here with Kirsten- She made the whole experience so fun, as we sampled 4 delicious cakes for our wedding! I would highly recommend adding this to your list of cake options to explore for any upcoming weddings.

Went to a cake tasting here, service was good but given it was a cake tasting, there was not much service needed other than the consultation. The cafe itself seems to be variety of cupcakes and other desserts for purchase. In terms, of wedding cake tasting, flavor options were pretty average, nothing absolutely stood out for me. Cake batter and icing are more leaning on the sweeter side but the cake itself has great texture.

Went out of their way to take care of us. Really kind and helpful. We will continue to call Sweet Treats for all birthday parties in our family. Highly recommend.

Wow - these were some of the best cupcakes I have had in a very long time! Super moist and not too pricey for the quality. I mean these really were seriously good, moist, delicious cupcakes! Like I can't stop thinking about them kind of good. I wish I lived closer.

I was at a birthday party and they had sweet treats bakery cupcakes. They were very good. In terms of flavor they were very sweet. I tried the gluten free cupcake and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Not sure about ambiance, service or pricing as I didn't order them or pick them up but I would definitely recommend trying the cupcakes.

Excellent cake. I have never not had leftovers of a birthday cake. People went for second and thirds and took some to go!!! :)

I did a wedding cake pick up here and the moment you walk into the door everyone is so friendly! I absolutely love the guy that assisted me with picking up the cake, as well as, walking it out to my car. You are the bomb! Thank you!

The staff here is super sweet and helpful. My little girls and I arrived 15 minutes before the bakery closed and their case was still well stocked, which was nice. They have some really cute tables set up to eat I . The kids really enjoyed their cupcakes, I had a mini one, which was okay. The cookie I got was delicious and I'm looking forward to eating the apple crumble coffee muffin in the morning. I'll definitely be coming here often.

The Oreo cupcakes that they had in the display case were amazingly delicious will be returning and cant wait to try other pastries

We were in Austin this past Saturday and had some time before our lunch reservation. I was looking for a bakery with a variety of baked goods and this was the bakery on our way. The store had an upscale feel to it and even had a couple of rooms perhaps for consultation. It was quickly apparent that their specialty is making custom cakes. There were some cupcakes and a few baked goods. Seemed a little sparse before midday. We got to see one of the specialty cakes and it looked very well-decorated. We ended up buying a raspberry lemonade cupcake and a carrot cake cupcake and gifting them. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the lack of variety of baked goods that I was looking for.

Awesome place to get your special something done. My family has been playing Catan every Saturday since March as we bunker down from COVID. It has been an awesome bonding experience that everyone looks forward to. So, for the end of the year I decided to get cupcakes like a Catan board. I searched around and STB was the one that had the best responses, prompt attention and communicated with me all along. When it arrived, it looked more amazing than I could have ever imagined. All the details into it brought the game to life. They went way above and beyond with the attention to whimsical detail. Finally, it tasted GREAT. These weren't just show cupcakes, but the moist filling was professionally done. No one wanted to eat/dive into it and ruin the board, but once we did - everyone enjoyed it. Thanks to STB for helping our family have fun and joy together.

I picked up standard cupcakes here for my wedding (carrot cake, red velvet, and chocolate). I actually didn't end up having any, but they looked fine, everyone I talked to said they were tasty, and we didn't have many left over. So I guess that's all you would want from cupcakes! My only concern would be that they had me sign the same forms as for wedding cakes, and they seemed super over the top--pages of policies which basically meant signing away all your rights. I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable signing if I had done the whole big wedding cake thing.

Absolutely perfect. We are in Austin for a month and my boyfriends bday was coming up. During corona, it is hard to do much if anything, especially for celebrating special occasions, so I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a birthday cake. Did some quick Yelp research and called Sweet Treats. They were able to have a cake ready within four days and delivered in time ($20 delivery fee). The cake was perfect/exactly as ordered and DELICIOUS. We ordered a funfetti cake with cream cheese frosting inside and it was so good. We gobbled it up! From beginning to end, the process of ordering and receiving the cake was super simple and easy. Highly recommend !

Sweet Treets Bakery is a lovely little business! We went in February Valentine's weekend to pick up some delicious cake balls, and ended up scooping up a to-go wedding cake tastings too. The flavors are all SO good and you can customize them anyway you want! We decided to book them for our wedding cake, because our quick pick up turned out to be a really great experience. Elizabeth the owner, was helping customers and she noticed we were waiting to the side for someone. When she finished up her transaction, she immediately came to us and asked how we were doing. We didn't even sign up for a consultation, but she was really gracious and showed us the sizing of the cakes; then explained all the flavors. No pressure to order, etc. After trying all the cakes we knew we had to go with Sweet Treets Bakery! Ordering was easy, you can place online and add all the inspiration images, as well as add the flavorings and layers you want. We ordered a 2 tier lemon cake with vanilla butter cream, and almond cake with vanilla buttercream, our guests raved about how yummy it was! Overall, we were so impressed and happy to have ordered from Sweet Treets Bakery! Thank you!

Sweet Treats did our wedding cake and they did a fantastic job. They created a 3-tier, vanilla-almond cake with raspberry filling for us, and everybody raved. The cake was also delivered to our venue right on time and in perfect condition. I would recommend them to anyone who is getting married in the Austin area!

This SWEET TREETS BAKERY - SUCKS! I ordered cupcakes from this bakery. After placing my order I called several times to verify no one answered the phones. Finally resulted in emailing them and they took several days to reply back. The Ops Director acknowledged my order and confirmed. The day of the order I show up and they could not find my order. They took ZERO responsibility/accountability and sited it was a Square issue. I will NEVER order from this bakery again.

New York City prices in Austin, TX (And we're from NY lol) Two-pack Two and a half inch (tops!) chocolate chip cookies and an equally small Oreo cupcake for $5.75. The cookies were very very sweet (I like mine to taste more of brown sugar and butter but maybe that's personal preference) but they were perfectly chewy and chocolate was plentiful. The cupcake was good- sponge was moist and the buttercream tasty. Packaging was darling, the theme cakes on display looked spectacular and the worker behind the counter was friendly. If we were local, I'd use them for an event cake as this is likely their bread and butter and seem very good at that, but wouldn't frequent as my local small treat bakery.

I was super upset. Although there online presentation was great , their in person customer service was appalling. 30 min sessions with no kind of personalized one on one. I was put into a room. Given a presentation on the cost. And then left to "taste" the cakes with no guidance. My fiancé was late. Which was ok. But I expected a little more guidance on flavors and more "chat" about how my $800 cake would be made. Instead they brought me a plate and said ... taste and let me know what you think. Bad customer service. Bad one one one. All around not a good experience.

We used Sweet Treats for our wedding cake. We had some positives for our experience but the actual cake fell short of our expectations. I'll break it down below. 1. Professional: Emails were always prompt and they do a good job about reminding you when deadlines are. 2. Tasting box: They give you 6 flavors for $25. All of the flavors were so freaking good and moist! We had a hard time deciding which flavor to go with! Ultimately, we chose red velvet with a cream cheese filling. *My maid of honor also ordered a white cake for my bachelorette party and it was also delicious! I was pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out. Given the excitement surrounding our experiences, my fiancé and I were so excited for our wedding day cake. I even dreamed about how delicious the cake would be so you can imagine the hype on our wedding day. My initial thought of biting into our wedding cake was that it was dry and stale. I knew this couldn't be the cake/cupcakes we had tasted, so I tried it again and nope - it was not as magical as I remember. I am no baker but I know a fresh, moist cake and that wasn't it. I was super disappointed because I was so excited for Sweet Treats and I LIVE for wedding cake - it's one of my favorite things to look forward to at weddings and the fact that it disappointed me at my own wedding bummed me out. For the price per serving, I expected more but oh well, you live and learn.

I have ordered several times from Sweet Treets. The staff is remarkably friendly, the cakes are competitively priced, and they always outperform expectations. They also have THE BEST gluten free cake I have ever tasted. I know what you are thinking..."Oh, it's good for gluten free cake." NOOOOO. It's good FOR CAKE IN GENERAL. I served Sweet Treets' gluten free cake to people, and they had no idea it was gluten free. No joke...someone else brought a Milk Bar cake to the same event, and people unanimously agreed the Gluten Free Sweet Treets cake tasted better. What's my favorite? Thank you for asking. It's the Gluten Free Strawberry Champagne cake with vanilla buttercream that's mixed with Strawberry Preserves. It's like an adult strawberry shortcake. You won't be upset you ate this (unless you are allergic to strawberries or some other ingredient). You will even like their fondant. That's right. I said it. You will might even LOVE it. They make it in house...sweet, soft, not aggressive. In fact, I plan to end this review right now, so I can close my eyes and dream about the next time I'll be eating this exact cake.

We used Sweet streets Bakery for our wedding cake and fruit tartlets and we had the best experience! I reached out through email and was able to make an appointment on a Saturday to taste test. You can try up to four flavors free! We fell in love with the Vanilla Citrus as it was simple for everyone to enjoy but also had a kick of citrus to spice up the flavor. Everyone is still raving about our cake! They said it was so moist and so flavorful, which is rare nowadays. Everyone has beautiful wedding cakes but when it comes to the actual cake, it is usually dry. Not our cake! For the design, I showed them a picture of what I wanted and had the florist leave extra flowers so they can place fresh flowers on the cake. I also wanted to add a small detail to the bottom tier which was a golden retriever peeking out of the cake. I sent Julia photos of our golden and I was so happy to see the final outcome!! We even saved the golden from our cake. My husband is not a big cake person, but he likes fruit tarts, so we were offered the idea of having fruit tartlets instead of a groom's cake. Those were also a hit!! Thank you so much Julia and the rest of the staff at Sweet Treets for making our wedding cake experience so memorable!!

We've ordered two birthday cakes and plan to have Sweet Treats do our wedding cake. Rave reviews already. The cake tasting experience was really great. Lola was super helpful, answered all of our questions, and helped us plan things out. All of our friends loved the birthday cakes and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out.

Most importantly, the cake was DELICIOUS! We chose the strawberry champagne for the bride's cake and carrot cake for the groom's cake. When we did the tasting, honestly I would have been happy with any of the flavors, they were all SO good, but I was excited to go with the strawberry champagne because it's something a little different. Everyone raved about how yummy the cake was, and I can't wait for our one year anniversary so we can eat the top layer! :) I think this is the one wedding vendor that I can't even come up with a minor complaint about. They were super friendly, responsive, and patient. I gave them a photo of the lace of my wedding dress and they designed the piping from the photo. I wanted something elegant but simple, with room for the florist to decorate with flowers. They worked with me to get the design just right, and it came out beautifully. They delivered it safely. I never actually saw them deliver the cake, the coordinator organized it, but it was exactly where I wanted and how I wanted when I got my first peek at it. Thanks Sweet Treets! :)

We had an e-mail consult with Sean at Sweet Treets about desserts for our wedding. We had a couple pictures of a two-tiered cake that we liked but was open to having a bigger version of that, cupcakes or an array of different options. We set up a consult selecting some flavors we wanted to try for our cake. Sean was great and informative. He really helped guide us to what would be best for our budget and the amount of guests we had. We decided to do the strawberry champagne two-tiered cake and cupcakes. They were absolutely beautiful and delicious! Our guests enjoyed their dessert and we got more than one exclamation that this it was the best cake they've ever had! Our experience with Sweet Treets was always of professionalism and kindness. They made this part of our wedding so easy! We are so happy we chose them to cater our wedding desserts!!

I am not local but needed a custom cake for my mom's 70th birthday. I was super impressed with the call back after I filled out the online inquiry. I provided minimal requirements as I'm not artistic at all- just stated my mom is an avid gardener and loves all things floral, birdhouses, and arbors. The detail in this cake is beyond my wildest imagination and was PERFECT! Thank you so much for making my mom's birthday extra special!!

I am so amazed at the beautiful custom made ninja turtle cake that was made! I provided some pictures of ideas for my husband's birthday and the customer service was above and beyond. Great communication, helpful recommendations, and the cake was so perfect! It truly exceeded my expectations and it was so beautiful that everyone was afraid to eat it! Sweet Treats Bakery and their team are awesome! They made the cake for my wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone that I talked to, whether it was via email or in person, was very friendly and eager to help me with designing the cake. I sent them a photo of what I wanted and they were able to recreate it without a problem. I also appreciate helping customize the amount of filling between cake layers. :) Highly recommend for weddings and any other events. (PS Their lemon/raspbery cake is absolutely delicious!)

My fiance and I came here with high hopes for our very first wedding cake tasting. From the first moment we walked in, we felt the experience was odd. We were greeted briefly by staff, then waiting up in the big, cold, empty lobby for about 10 minutes. I was wearing a sweater, but still chilly, so asked if I could order a coffee or tea, but they do not serve drinks with their cakes. We were then asked to pay $15 for our experience and escorted to a private room. This small tasting room was cute and full of display cakes with different possible designs. It was still quite cold. A nice, younger girl then asked us to go through what we were looking for, clarify date, delivery options, amount of guests, etc. When she was finished, she left to grab our samples. She brought the samples to us, and we looked at her somewhat confused. There were four tiny, unfrosted cupcakes. One of each flavor we had recommended, as well as four, also tiny, little disposable cups with the different fillings we were permitted to try. Apparently it was a "build your own" cupcake experience. Not only was that odd as we weren't sure which flavors to put with which cake and how much, etc, but also the cakes were terrible! They all tasted stale and dry, except for the lemon cake. The chocolate cupcake crumbled apart when I tried to cut it in half. I am NOT exaggerating, people. All in all, it was a terrible experience, not good cake, AND we spent $15 for that. I wish I had taken a photo of the tiny cakes to show you! There are many other, better, bakers in Austin.

I always feel like a nuisance when I walk in here. They're not the most friendly or warm, and always make me feel like they've got better things to do than sell me a cupcake or two. For some reason, if I'm not a bride or about to drop $100+ on something, they don't wanna know me. Today I bought 2 cupcakes and the one I ate was stale. Y'all just be nice and make fresh cupcakes.

Delicious and beautiful wedding and groom's cake for a small reception. Sweet Treets was very accommodating and was able to transfer our deposit for a 200+ person cake to use on 2 small cakes for an intimate event during all of the changes we had to make having a wedding during a pandemic. Even with a huge downsize and less in it for them, they delivered and set-up our cakes to make our day a little bit sweeter!

Back up to five stars. We have been coming here for years and I have done a number of reviews. This is a place that changed hands, and stumbled for us at that time, but it is now on track. They even occasionally have the Lady's favorite, which is Mexican Chocolate Cake Balls. They do not have a large selection for walk-ins, but what they have is incredible. This is a place that focuses on quality, not quantity, and is often used for providing cakes for weddings and formal events. I picked up a couple of items for the Lady today as she had gone into shock from lack of chocolate the day before. As always, the staff was friendly, the place spotless. If you want volume for cheap, this is not a place that will satisfy. Want to go high end, you bet!

Yes! One of my favorite bakery's in town! I have had it one time for a graduation party 6 years ago and honestly everyone went for a second because the cakes were very good and heavenly!

The best bakery in Austin! I fell in love with Sweet Treets when they did my wedding and my affection has only grown. They did a phenomenal job at our wedding. There are still guests talking about those treats to this day. And now that I'm living in Austin it's hard not to go and load up on their to-go ready treats. Treat Yo'Self and go get something today!

I'd give ten stars if I could. Sean and Lisa were amazing and provided EXACTLY what we were looking for on our wedding day. I have a gluten allergy, so finding a gluten free cake vendor was a challenge! Sweet Treets had no issue with my allergy and the cake was entirely gluten free without issue. I never once felt concerned about my cake being cross-contaminated - they put me completely at ease! They also worked with our theme (Pixar's Up) and brought our ideas to fruition. Nearly every guest told us how beautiful they thought the cake was! Oh, and the best part - most guests had NO idea the cake was GF!!! I've eaten a fair share of GF cake in my time and...yeah, most of it TASTES GF, and not in a good way. To finally have cake that was moist and fluffy and actually tasted like cake was one of the best wedding gifts a bride could ask for :) Thank you so much, Sweet Treets! You really made our day special!!

From the moment Sweet Treets people showed up with the wedding cake at the venue it started to collapse due to structural issues. How in the hell does a wedding cake company not know how to make a structurally sound wedding cake??? Then when they took the cake back to the bakery and returned to the venue, South Congress wayyy past the eta time. The cake was broken and damaged. I am guessing because they had to take it completely apart and add an absurd amount of reinforcement. Once they were back at South Congress it was realized that the groom's cake was left behind!!!! Not only were they already late with the wedding cake but then they had to go back to get the groom's cake they forgot at the bakery. This, therefore, caused our entrance into the reception space to be delayed so they could then install the groom's cake. Everyone was waiting for us to walk in and make out the entrance and instead the two women who showed up had to walk in and add the groom's cake. On top of everything, we were not able to do a cake cutting because there is so much structure in the cake it was impossible to take any kind of cut through the cake. I was hitting structural elements and was embarrassed to not be able to do any kind of cake cutting at my wedding. If this was not enough the bride's cake looked unfinished, poorly put together, broken flowers, areas where the frosting was completely missing. As a designer, I could not IMAGINE presenting a product like this to a person. LET ALONE THERE WEDDING!!!! To know that they have ruined an important part of my wedding will be something I never forget. South Congress Hotel and the wedding planning company let me know that they will be removing them from the preferred vendor's list due to the complete lack of professionalism. I had such high hope and obviously, I was completely wrong. I wrote an e-mail 3 days ago and have yet to hear anything back. To know that once they have the money nothing else matters.

Recently had a tasting for an upcoming wedding I was quite impressed all of the flavours were amazing, we eventually settled for red velvet with cream cheese, Our wedding consultant Lola was amazing guiding us through the entire process.Very professional. My daughters birthday is October for both I been trying to get their business twice this year and last year very disappointed they have me denied twice already. Same email we busy on October bc weddings Definitely not reaching back again.

It was a no brainer to go with them for heir quality and taste! Also our cake was beautifully designed exactly how I envisioned it!

I'm not a big fan of dessert a meal but this afternoon, a fellow Yelper and I were walking back to the car after a very nice lunch a few doors down from Sweet Treats. My friend coerced me to enter the bakery and once inside of this house of sin and decadence, I transformed into my shameless chocoholic mode. I ordered 2 Bourbon Cakes and threw in an OMG Chocolate cake ball for good measure. Sadly, the cake ball didn't make it out of the store.

From the initial cake tasting to the final last-minute details, everything worked so seamlessly, and the cake turned out BEAUTIFULLY. Not to mention it was totally delicious! I am so happy we chose Sweet Treets to make my wedding cake dreams come true!

The first time I went here we arrived to find them closed even though their hours online said they should be open. The next time I went with a friend for dessert. We each got a cupcake for $3 or $3.50, can't remember. I got Red Velvet. The cupcake was dry and had a weird texture. Almost plasticky. I won't go back, too many other bakeries to check out. Definitely not worth the price. I give it two stars because the employees were very sweet and the ambiance was relaxing.

We ordered from ST for my son's first birthday party, they worked off a photo I emailed and it turned out super cute! I added my own topper and candle using just a little bakers glue at home and it matched perfectly. We did the vanilla and the lemon flavors and everyone loved it. I'm always afraid cute cakes will be dry and crumbly but not the case here!

Sweet Treets is the best! We had a great experience here when my fiancé's parents were visiting. We got to try multiple cakes (even funfetti which wasn't on the options list but when we mentioned it they prepared!). From the moment we walked in the staff was helpful, informative and very very nice. Following up after the initial appointment to order, pay and add on the grooms cake was SO SO easy. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a baker - not just for wedding cakes! Thank you to the Sweet Treets team and can't wait to see our cakes in November.

Love this place! Perfect local bakery for custom cakes. We requested a My Chemical Romance themed cake and it was just amazing! It was so beautiful I didn't want to cut it! Delicious red velvet cake. It was probably a little more than we should have spent on a 12 year old's birthday but he's worth it! The cake was the highlight of the party. Thanks y'all!
