I recently discovered Sweetcreek Farm Market on our way back from Montgomery, and it was such a delightful surprise! This charming farmers market is not only quaint but impressively spacious. Our two-year-old grandson had an absolute blast exploring the farm animals, making it a memorable visit for the whole family. The selection of fresh produce and vibrant goods was truly impressive, highlighting the quality and care put into every item offered. We took advantage of the lovely diner and coffee shop, enjoying some delicious treats along the way. Additionally, the variety of knickknacks and goodies made for a fun shopping experience. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Sweetcreek Farm Market. It’s a perfect blend of fun, freshness, and charm that you don't want to miss!

So grateful I got to stop by today when they were open. I didn't realize they'd been open the last decade almost. I got some spicy okra, blueberries, spicy quail eggs, apple butter, and a loaf of sourdough. Everything was absolutely delicious. (Haven't eaten it all yet, of course!) They have a cafe on the side and I got a Nutty Irish from there as well. It was amazing, too! Everyone who works there was really sweet, the place was clean, and the produce was all fresh. I wish I'd had time to eat a meal there at their restaurant cause I'm sure it was was on par with everything else I bought, but I'll try again next time. There was a whole area outside with chickens, roosters, turkey and (apparently) goats, although the goats weren't there when I came. It was a great place for families to come and eat, fellowship, and enjoy some fun with the wildlife. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped in to pick up some TOE Jam and tea cookies and decided to stay for lunch—so glad I did! I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The young man who took our order was sweet and friendly, and the entire staff made us feel very welcome. I also tried the peach cobbler with homemade ice cream—such a treat! Can’t wait to come back.

Enjoyed this stop, atmosphere was calming while shopping we were occupied by the sound of the band playing some memorable oldies. Got a chance to purchase a Boston butt, some veggies, and taste the silky flavor of ice cream made with coconut milk...

Everything from Waygu beef to special fruit preserves. There isn't enough room here to laud the praises of this place. Small country restaurant, coffee/ice cream shop, retail area, kids play area, chickens, peacock, goats, etc, etc, etc. Very unique and eclectic in a very positive way. Highly recommend!

They have so many different farm fresh tasty treats it was amazing! Live music on the front patio was VERY GOOD! We took a stroll around and saw a peacock and a bunch of cute baby chicks.

Yelp
We stop here every single time we travel to/from Nashville to the beach! Highly recommend it! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, the service is quick, and it's super cute. The market sells SO many items, fresh veggies, seasonal gifts, desserts etc... But MY favorites are the blueberry cheese in the refrigerated section and the Kringle desserts, also in the refrigerator section. Pretty confident you can't go wrong with any dessert you buy. And if you are lucky enough to be here in the fall, their pumpkins are huge and the selection is unbelievable . Restrooms are always clean, plenty of parking and be sure to look for the chickens running around in the yard out front, very fun for the kids . Great place and a " Must Stop".

Yelp
My family loves SweetCreek. Chickens are my 4 year old daughter's favorite animal, so when I found out about the free roaming fowl, I knew we had to come. Both of my girls get a kick out of just watching the chickens do chicken things while they play on the slide and swings, and we always stop to say hello to the goats too. We've tried several things from the store - my youngest managed to get her hands on a package of goat cheese on one visit. I looked down and realized she had bitten it open and was just casually munching on a log of the stuff. So the goat cheese was a winner for my family, but so are the jarred goods. We've tried pickles (the ones that say spicy MEAN spicy, so beware), salsas, pepper jelly, apple butter, pecan pie ... but the blue winner goes to the key lime pie. My husband pretty much at the entire thing himself. He said he couldn't stop because it was just so good. You also can't go wrong eating at the cafe either. I don't think we've ever waited more than 5-10 minutes for our food to come out, and the prices are extremely reasonable -- especially for the quality of the food. I also love the extra play area on the cafe side so the kids can play while we're waiting or if they finish before us. The camp stew is a must for me every time we visit, and my husband's favorite is the pimento grilled cheese. The girls love the pb&j (I assure you it is NOT Jiffy and Smuckers). We always go in with the intent to try the ice cream afterward, but we've just never had the room for it.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful. It has plants, groceries, and has a restaurant. It is rustic with chickens outside.I had a homemade grilled pimento cheese on artisan bread, and my wife had the blt on artisan bread.A very delicious lunch. We also split a cup of homemade peanut butter ice cream. It was sooo delicious.I can't put it into words .Another great stop for The Working Man Review.

Yelp
helpful staff, excellent produce, family feeling, farm animals, great ice cream. We stop enroute from St. Augustine to St. Louis

Yelp
Nice people, great selection, ridiculous prices for most products...$3 tomatoes! Heading back to the market at East Chase for more reasonable pricing. Go see the chickens and other fowl but leave the baby ones alone for heavens sake!

Yelp
We live in Oklahoma and never miss stopping by sweet Creek to enjoy some peach ice cream, buy peaches, browse their wonderful store. Would never miss stopping by. They are always very helpful and the produce is wonderful.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good! But I went to get peanut butter ice cream but they didn't have any. It may have been in the coffee shop, but if so the staff didn't tell me. And you had to purchase a whole key lime pie which we did not need/want. Those were our main reasons for going. So we missed out on that but the music was good, and food was good. We will visit again!

Yelp
I took my granddaughters last week they enjoyed themselves will be back again they loved the interaction with other children. I enjoyed the atmosphere the kids loved their ice cream and chasing the chickens the 3yr. old.

Yelp
Let me start by saying... The BEST peanut butter ice cream, ever! And it gets better.. chocolate peanut butter swirl.. Reese peanut butter cup! Here's a secret too... gluten and lactose free This market has a variety of fresh veggies and fruit, frozen items. Fresh meat and cheeses. An enormous amount of baked goods, with a good amount gluten free items. Fresh baked bread, tons of canned goods, jams, jellies and pickled items. They also have dog items, fresh treats and such. They have a fresh deli with great sandwich and soup options. Also, breakfast sandwiches and platters for a great price. Outside is a nice picnic area, with a playground and petting animal area, where you can purchase feed for the animals. All in all; great place to spend an afternoon with the family. Or stop in for a quick shop. My go to place, whenever I drive by. (Super clean restrooms too!!)

Yelp
THE REAL DEAL! What a delightful stop on our trip to Florida. This place has it all. It is so clean and so well run, like a well oiled machine. There are a few different components to this establishment. 1. The Market. I bought a bag of Georgia Pecans that make Walmart Pecans taste like they are 5 years old. The Farm to Table produce was remarkable! So many fresh baked goods. Frozen items, local meats, maple syrups, nuts, salsas, honey, homemade bbq sauce, and soooooo much more. I could have spent $200 - $300 here, easily. 2. The Restaurant. You place your order at the counter and wait for your # to be called. There is indoor seating, porch seating, and outside seating. Again, well organized and efficient. I ordered the Chicken Salad on a Croissant and am I ever glad I did! Best I've ever had, even better than mine! Add the Home made on site Lemonade, and it's almost heaven. To make it even better, the prices are from like, 10 years ago!! Then to finish it off, Homemade Ice Cream. If you can't find something you want to eat here, you need professional help ;-) 3. The Music. Out on the porch, there were some older guys (1 Younger) who have probably been making music together for a few decades. So smooth, soulful, and downright amazing, they sing, play guitar, keyboard, drums, and take requests. Never have I ever...... Tips accepted!!!! GIVE! So, Good Food, Ice Cold drinks, Great seating, Great Weather, Exceptional Entertainment, and clean restrooms. Who could ask for anything more? STOP HERE, OR YOU ARE STUPID!

Yelp
Very friendly and food was great, staff told me a lot about southern food I'm only here for 3 more weeks and I will go back

Yelp
SweetCreek Farm Market is a wonderful, unassuming business just off of the highway from Montgomery in Pike Road on the way to Troy. They sell quite the variety of fresh, prepared and packaged foods from a variety of producers and farms with an eye toward quality. The business is traditional quality Southern country. We purchased a variety of things, just whatever seemed tasty or fun: local honey, jams, cheeses, chocolates, jellies, snacks, nuts and candles. The store is open air yet clean. There was even a chicken (or rooster?) who strutted harmlessly through the store at one point. They also offer freshly made sandwiches, salads and ice cream which we'll be sure to try in the future! I even bought a postcard to send my yankee friend up near the D.C. swamp. Stop on in, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I have stopped at SweetCreek several times over the years and it's a hard to miss place to stop. This is a restaurant, store, ice cream, and coffee shop all in one. There is also a cool play area for kids outside with the farm equipment. Before you arrive at SweetCreek, you will see a sign that says #1 rated BBQ. The pulled pork is pretty good but they had to be talking about the ribs. OMG! The ribs are so tender...they have ti be eaten with a fork. The BBQ sauce is sweet and mixes well with the dry rub. And you get a half a rack and a side for $12.50! The potato salad is baked potato variety. Besides BBQ, you want the homemade ice cream. You want the homemade ice cream! My fiancé got some pimento cheese to go and it was homemade, creamy, and delicious! The store has plenty of fruits, jams, sauces etc. Must stop and must rat! Thank me later!

Yelp
We have passed this place numerous times, but never had time to stop. We finally made time and it was well worth every minute we were there. It was crowded due to a festival in progress. But that did not affect the service. I was told they have the best bbq around, but wasn't hungry at the time, so didn't try it . There was an amazing assortment of fresh vegetables, jams, and other wonderful local fare, including signs, towels, etc We did get a milkshake. Oh. My.Goodness. What divine deliciousness it was! How can milkshakes be so different?? However they are making it, they've perfected the process! I can't wait to stop back by and try the bbq!

Yelp
Sweet creek was close to where we were so we stopped by to get lunch and to check out the market. Homemade candles, soaps, household cleaners, and facial products made by a local resident were prominently displayed, as were a number of fruit jellies. There's also a small restaurant that offers sandwiches and salads along heartier items such as robs and pulled pork sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, and smoked chicken plates. They also have a number of sweets including homemade hard and soft ice creams, peach cobbler, cookies, and pies We tried the pecan smoked barbecue sandwich, the chicken salad croissant, and the hogwild jumbo baked potato. The baked potato cones topped with pulled pork, chili, cheese, butter, green onions, roasted pecans, and sour cream. Our order was to go so I requested that the chili be put in a container. Unfortunately I didn't receive the chili, sour cream, butter, or roasted pecans. However, the concept was a good one and the baked potato with just the pulled pork, cheese, and green onions topped with barbecue sauce was good. The pork sandwich had the same delicious pork that was on the baked potato. The bread couldn't hold up to the juiciness of the meat though and it was quite soggy. The chicken salad and the broccoli salad side lacked flavor. In addition to the food, we picked up a number of candles with scents such as vanilla pound cake, hot cornbread, peach cobbler, sangria sunrise, and orange clove. We also picked up a variety of jams and spreads inckuding pear butter with pineapple, peach fig jam, orange marmalade, mango butter, FROG (fig, raspberry, orange, ginger) jam. These will be perfect for gifts. My husband was turned off by all the flies in the dessert case but I hope to drop back by this place on another visit to try the ice cream.

Yelp
What a perfect place to stop! You feel like you are at someone's personal farm! Super sweet spot! Love all the live animals, fresh fruits, jams, produce and more! If you have room I. Your cooler, you could stock up on some goodies! We enjoyed the bottled coke, chai teas and coffee. We missed out on the ice cream but sure enjoyed their fresh homemade lunch! The chicken salad on a croissant was soooooo good! BBQ sandwiches was good too! The absolute highlight of the stop they serve GLUTEN FREE BREAD which was soooo refreshing! They also sell it and we brought some with jam! Highly recommend, super sweet, great service, good food and just a lovely place to stop!!!! You are crazy if you miss this one!
google avatar

Penny R.

Yelp
I got the pimento grilled cheese, it my favorite. My husband got the turkey club, he loved it. They also have sweet tea.

Yelp
A must stop!! We found this gem on the way back to Florida and I can't say enough great things about it! If you're a celiac, there are so many options for delicious (literally finger licking) food!! There is a cute store full of fresh fruit, veggies, jams, cider... all the things! And a cute little coffee shop! A super cute place over all!! I even got a few jokes from the bathroom doors to use on my husband on the way home. The owner might be one of the nicest people I've ever met! 10/10 recommend!! I was too busy shoving my face to get many pics, but here is what I got!

Alyssa H.

Yelp
Random stop on our way home to Wisconsin from Florida. We will definitely stop again! Fabulous food but the best part was the wandering animals. The kids loved the playground! The farmers market attached to the restaurant was top notch with a great selection of Amish food and other products.

Abby J.

Yelp
Super cool place! We stopped in for a fantastic lunch; my boyfriend had the cuban sandwich & I had a bbq sandwich. Both were amazing! We enjoyed looking around the market, checking out the animals outside, & grabbed a coffee for the road at the cafe. All of the staff were super welcoming & kind! Highly recommend & look forward to stopping by again soon.
google avatar

Cathy K.

Yelp
Great stop to stretch your legs when traveling! We love that they are dog friendly and we can take them with us inside or walk all around the farm stand! Great produce, grab and go cobbler trays and local canned items. They offer sandwiches, soups and the best sour cream potato salad! They have a coffee bar with lots of options. Unfortunately, they never have enough staff working the coffee and the wait can be very long. Clean all around and always a must stop when we are traveling.
google avatar

Rich T.

Yelp
This place is just wonderful all around. I've stopped there twice on my treks through the Deep South. Incredible BBQ, really affordable too. It's so fun seeing the animals walk around too. Great items in their market area too.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Service is always courteous and amazingly organized for the amount of traffic on their busiest days!! Love going on Saturday when they have the live band!!!
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Cute goats! We had a great experience. We were running behind this morning and arrived later than planned. They were very busy. A man that appeared to be in charge was helping direct and move the line along. My husband asked if they were still serving breakfast. They weren't but he said to tell them we wanted a sausage egg and cheese sandwich with pancakes. We placed that order when we got up there. While waiting, someone came and said they couldn't do the pancakes and got a substitute for us. The sandwich was great and so was my Mac and cheese! Shortly after we started eating, the nice man brought us a plate of pancakes. They were amazing!! Bought a bloody Mary mix and other produce in the store section. Had a great live band playing. This was Saturday mid morning. Thanks so much!! Great place for kids to run off some energy. Parking on the back door campers, trailers. Friendly staff!
google avatar

Kasey S.

Yelp
HIGHLY recommend stopping at SweetCreek Farm Market on your way to PCB! We petted goats, saw lots of very fluffy chickens, slid on slides built over a combine, had homemade ice cream, and bought homemade canned goods. So much fun!

CJ J.

Yelp
Driving to Oklahoma this place had great reviews and we were not disappointed. Playground, chickens, peacocks. Tons of fresh produce, jellies and ice cream. Food was good. Will def remember this place when we come back through.
google avatar

Renee E.

Yelp
This is a must stop on your road trip! We got the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing! The lemonade was great and so was the peach cobbler with homemade ice cream! Put it on your list if you are ever in the area!

Claudia I.

Yelp
Lucky stop! On a day long trip from Memphis to Tampa, we stopped by to check out the market. We're now loaded up with goodies - including gluten free cookies and fresh milkshakes. There's a nice variety of preserves and jarred fruit, a little cafe, candles and fresh vegetables. This was a great way to break up the tedium of a long day and there is even a little park complete with chickens to entertain your young 'un's!
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Love SweetCreek! I stop there all the time for fresh vegetables and ice cream, sandwiches and more.
google avatar

Marla N.

Yelp
What a delightful, quaint roadside stop. The lemonade is awesome. We had a loaded garden stuffed potato that was ginormous and ooh so tasty with broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, green onions, beans, pecans, potato and cheese - I'm sure I forgot something! The BBQ pecan pulled pork sandwich was equally amazing! Lots of fresh veggies and fruits, pies, breads, cakes and other goodies to shop for in the market. Kids love seeing the chickens and ducks roaming around too!

Derek B.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere. They have a little bit of everything. I was there on a day with live music. They were awesome. Lunch was reasonably priced and a good BBQ pork sandwich. The fort for the goats and the play area were very nice. A good place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Pamela M.

Yelp
An absolute must stop in! Fantastic! The food is great. The animals are precious. The local products & produce are fresh.

Yelp
Been to SweetCreek a few times prior to the pandemic, but this was my first time eating at their restaurant. The menu had a couple vegetarian options (ie., pimiento cheese sandwich and garden quesadilla). I expected them to have to the Impossible Burger because of older photos of the menu, but I ended up getting the pimiento cheese sandwich w/ lettuce & tomato. It was delicious! My sister got the turkey club and really enjoyed it. The cookies are HUGE and honestly could be shared between three people. My sister and I shared one chocolate chip cookie and it was also yummy (and warm!) However, Sweet Creek is *not* COVID-19 safe. My sister and I + another family of 3 were the only masked people in the entire market/restaurant and it was pretty packed. If you are vulnerable, I would only come here outside of the lunch rush or not at all. TLDR; good food, great selection of local goods, okay service, but not COVID-safe.
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
I find myself craving SweetCreek at least once a week. The turkey club is a unique little sandwich with the added apple and chutney. It's usually too much for me so I bring the other sandwich half home to eat later. The potato salad is great! My son went for the first time today and ordered ribs and ate almost all of it. Then we browsed the market side. I wanted some local honey for my allergies this year seem especially bad, but they just sold out, so I guess I'm not a lone pollen sufferer. SweetCreek is the place to go to for seasonal porch decor. The ferns and red geraniums looked so lush and healthy today. Check SC out in October for their pumpkins!

Tim J.

Yelp
Awesome food in the restaurant, my families favorite ribs. Fresh produce in the market and incredible sweets.
google avatar

Kristin M.

Yelp
Ribs are amazing. Bought several racks to share at husband's work event - they were a hit. Fall-off-the-bone tender, all they needed was a bit of sauce. We have friends who purchase a whole picnic roast here - and they love it too. The cafe is cute and fast for a bit to eat; their kettle corn is a hit for sure! Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Keith C.

Yelp
Located just out of Montgomery on our way from Nashville to Panama City Beach. Lots of comfort food and good home made home goods. Lots to see and shop for. You can come and go fast or take your time and relax. We always get some canned goods that are fresh and delicious to take home.
google avatar

Ric M.

Yelp
This is one of the best (and free!) place to visit in Montgomery with kids! No pressure to buy anything, just go and enjoy the farm a bit, grab some fresh produce, and get some great lunch. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich, but everything we have had in the 3 visits is great. People are nice, setting is wonderful, theme for the holidays is always on point. Go check it out!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
This place was awesome! My wife got a bbq potato and I got the pecan smoked barbecue pork sandwich. The slaw and pickles were both definitely fresh, the bun was incredible, and the bbq was very good. It had pecans in it and was a little sweet but mostly smokey. The farmers market was cool as well. They had a lot of baked goods and fresh produce, as well as meat and dairy in refrigerators. There were chickens and at least a couple of cats walking around. The food was delicious, the ambiance was good, and we will definitely be back. We sat down right before 11 and it wasn't too crowded, but people flooded in after that. So I recommend showing up early if you don't want to wait for a table.
google avatar

Ang G.

Yelp
Farmers market part was good but the restaurant/ ice cream part was 'eh.' The food was just ok not great. The ice cream was not very cold, like it was somewhat melted to start so as soon as we went outside it was a melted mess. Didn't make me think - I can't wait to come back back. Felt like the food part was a waste of money as we threw half the food away. On a positive side the fruit/veggies for sale looked good but we didn't buy any due to traveling.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
I schedule my driving route to visit this wonderful produce market and restaurant. Their produce and ready made goodies are delicious. Having lunch at Sweet Creek is yummy, quick, and fresh. If you can pass up the home made peach cobbler and/or home made ice cream, you're stronger than me!
google avatar

Nina U.

Yelp
I love what they've done here with the bistro lights, free range chickens, roosters and turkeys and the outdoor pavilion. It's a great area to hang out with the birds, baby goats, and to play outside. Nearby in the adjacent store and restaurant, they have some produce for sale (apples, potatoes, squash, watermelons), not sure what comes from a farm or what they're reselling. Everything else seems very scented (soaps) and sweet (cider, baked goods). I would come just to check it out but if they cut the sugar or corn syrup in half, everything would still be too sweet for me.

Laurel B.

Yelp
This is a great stop when passing through this area. The farm market has a coffee shop, deli and lawn area. The farm has peacocks, chickens, and goats for entertainment. There is outside seating. The farm market has nuts, chocolates, treats and grocery basics. It's a great place to stretch your legs. The staff were friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Keith F.

Yelp
The produce is fresh and abundant. The local peaches are a hit. They also had 3 types of watermelons. The prices were a little high in my opinion, but not ridiculous. They also had some unique items in the refrigerator section such as fresh goat milk and fresh made peach cobbler. On the cafe side they had a huge selection of freshly made cookies. They were large in size and reasonably priced. Try the swamp cookie. It's the local choice. The bathrooms were clean. As you are driving in and out be mindful of all of the free range chickens!

Keith T.

Yelp
Great food. Fresh produce, ice cream and all the desserts was great. Great variety of food choices.

Paige M.

Yelp
I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything .. the layout, management, cleanliness is always spot on. I would highly recommend this place. Whether you need some fresh produce, want to grab lunch or just want to sit outside somewhere and enjoy the weather... this is the spot!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Cool little shop that has some cool littre food offerings, manny local or from Alabama. They also have a bakery. I managed to get a few gifts for people. The atmosphere is definitely cool. It makes you feel that you are in a small town country store and not just outside of Montgomery, Alabama. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and just enhanced the visit. All in all, a nice place to visit and you will be likely to buy a few items.
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
The menu was mainly sandwiches and the were so good. This is a great place to stretch your legs especially if you have kids.
