UPDATE!!! WHY IS SWEET GREEN SERVING SUCH DRY CHICKEN LATELY????? $25 TO $30 FOR MY SALAD AND I HAVE TO THROW THE CHICKEN AWAY CHECK OUT THE PICTURE! REDICULOUS HAPPENS ALMOST 3 DAYS A WEEK. We pulled up to sweetgreen recently and saw the lady cleaning the glass in front of the food . We stood outside and watched before we went inside to make sure she was not spraying the glass so the spray could drift onto the food. Well, it turns out she did exactly the wrong thing and sprayed the glass where there's a seam at the top where the spray can go directly onto the food. Unfortunately we went somewhere else. There's a worker there by the name of Juanito who is pretty rude and interrupts people as their either talking to somebody to place an order in the family or if they're on the phone he yells really loud with no respect whatsoever. We actually turn away and go eat somewhere else if we see him working. We have been going to sweet green for many years, 5 days a week. It's got great food, but the 2 issues I have are the chicken many times has been dry and the staff at one Loudoun are not the best. They look miserable the majority and not happy to be there. I try to avoid this location. Merrifield and reston have nicer, happier staff and less dry chicken. Oh, and I am pissed off they raised the prices it has gotten very expensive, so we only go 1 time a week instead of 5 times.

The workers are friendly but I am pretty disappointed in the portion sizes and quality of the food. Today half of my chicken was either hard or discolored and was maybe 10 little pieces at best. $17 bowl! Robbery.

DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. Go to CAVA instead- this place is horribly managed. This is the 2nd time that I've ordered online and NOT GOTTEN WHAT I PAID FOR. I ordered a custom bowl (with many PAID add-ons) only to receive a bowl with a spoonful of rice and some spinach. Literally EVERYTHING was correct on the ticket that was taped to my bowl-- how do you only put in 2 ingredients and then send it off?! Absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention the fact that my bowl was never sealed and half open in the bag that it was delivered in. Biggest waste of money ever.

It’s always hit or miss depending on how fast you and get your food. Sometimes it’s just rush hour. BUT what I will say is when you get the food it’s so good and has you filled with energy for the day. Appreciate how it never weighs heavy on the stomach. Definitely a bit pricey but with the economy you’ll be paying the same amount at McDonald’s or chic fil A anyways so might as well make it green 🥰

Wrong salads made. Didn’t realize until we got home. 20 minute trip each way. There is absolutely no way of getting in touch with anyone at this restaurant on the phone unfortunately, and we will never go back. Had lunch at this location a few months ago as well, dine in. A staff member was soooo rude I swore I would never return. I thought pick up would be better. I was so WRONG!

Despite the delicious salad, my experience at the restaurant was disappointing. When I entered, I found 10 employees behind the counter, none of whom greeted me or smiled. I stood in line for 5 minutes before someone finally came to assist me, as they seemed occupied with online orders. While I understand that it may be a new location with new staff, the management should be made aware of these issues. Welcoming gestures are very important in any business and walk-in customers should be prioritized, the staff should be trained accordingly. Good thing I wasn’t hangry!

So happy Loudoun has a Sweet Green! Finally! Got the hot honey chicken salad and a buffalo chicken salad. And walked out with some free bonus treats — super tasty gelato popsicles from Fantasticks and a gift from a new local shop Handmade by LMAC (Local Makers, Artists and Crafters). Am deforest coming back — thank you, SG, and will check our Fantasticks (a pop up) and LMAC across the street! Big win for Loudoun residents and One Loudoun!

I grabbed a couple of salads from this Sweetgreen spot the other night. It was pretty chill, not too busy, and I ordered online which was a breeze. The place itself? Clean, bright, got these big windows - but honestly, it's kinda meh, nothing special. It's not bad, but they really should jazz it up a bit, especially considering what it must cost to run a place like this. The salad was tasty, no doubt, but they went a bit overboard with the dressing. Pro tip for next time: ask for the dressing on the side. Is it a bit pricey? Maybe, but what you're really paying for is the convenience, and they nailed that. Order on the phone, pick it up a few minutes later, and bam, you're eating fresh salad. They've added more choices over the years, which is pretty cool. I'm not gonna get into the whole app payment thing since this is more about the store, but let's just say they could add more options there. The staff? They're alright, busy with their heads down, getting people in and out. A little 'hey' or a wave would've been nice, but it's no biggie. Overall, I'd pick this place over the one in Reston, hands down. They've got the food and convenience down pat, just wish the vibe was a bit more inviting, you know?

Food is decent but way overpriced. Staff isn't particularly helpful either. We spent $45 on 2 salads... which might've been ok in a different setting and if it wasn't totally unexpected! The build your own option doesn't say what's included in it, and the people building our bowls didn't tell us what was extra or by how much. When we went to ring up, one bowl showed a bunch of generic "extra topping - $1.00" items added on, and the other bowl showed very specific items that were added and cost extra. Tiny scoop of cheese $1.50, for example, because "it's a premium item" is the only explanation I got from the disinterested cashier. Some items I got rang up as $2 extra on my bowl and only $1 extra on my husbands' bowl. It seemed totally arbitrary and inconsistent. That's my biggest issue- they need to fix their signage and menu to show what's included and what costs how much extra. Food was good but nothing special. Service was mediocre at best. Nothing was particularly amazing, especially considering the cost.

I ordered a salad from Sweetgreen for takeout, and I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with the portion size and taste. The salad was bland and lacked any real flavor, and to make matters worse, the portion was incredibly small. It felt like they were cutting corners and skimping on ingredients. I won't be ordering from here again. Definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed.

Love the salads here. Ordered the rosemary focaccia for the first time and it was underwhelming and dry, but the salads were so good, fresh, and crunchy. I'm not a huge fan of kale and appreciate that you can request any alternate green. Brought my husband and daughter here for their first time and they both loved their salads. Can't wait to go back to order some of their other menu items. Staff was very friendly and on top of their game. Plenty of seating available and love the big windows to give it a bright, open feeling.

We went in for dinner. The place is new and clean, and was not busy so we ordered quickly. The staff still needs training as they were still confused about vegan vs gluten free and even questioned the vegan and gf tags on their own menu - smh. Also after paying a lot of money they still try to nickel and dime you when you ask for an extra side after you've removed a side from the base dish (this may also be a training issue). Net net if you're a fan and order the base dish then you should be good but if you try to customize it then be ready for confusion galore. We had an average experience and not looking forward to going back.

Wow! We FINALLY have a sweetgreen in Ashburn!! My wife and I have been dying for a good salad spot locally and they have finally delivered!! We stopped in today of course as it's their grand opening. There was a Ton of staff and we got through the line super quickly! We even downloaded the $5 off app which was super cool. I'm sure we will be attending often so it's nice to save up the credits and all. Next, there is plenty of space to sit and everything is shiny and new so we love that. It is bright and clean and I'm sure if you get a chance to stop by you will be happy that you did. Super fresh and healthy! Thank you!

Finally got my sweetgreen fix! My go to buffalo chicken bowl was vibrant, fresh and flavorful. I forgot how filing these bowls are...had enough for another meal later! The staff was giving Chick Fil A friendliness and very on top of things! No delays in the line or pondering which ingredients went in my bowl which is great for having just opened. I went at dinner time and there were only 3 drinks remaining and I see why. Pomegranate kombucha will be the new addition go my go to lol. Once inside, scan/download their app for a $5 credit

Smallest portions from a location I've ever seen. Ordered 3 times just to confirm if it was a fluke or not. I've been an avid fan of multiple locations from Fairfax to Arlington and this one is absurd. $18 for a few bites of salad, it was tasty though! May as well just order a steak salad from somewhere else. Also this locations dressings are a bit off for some reason they aren't the same. Too much dill in the ranch dressing, and the Miso Sesame Ginger (my favorite) was missing the sesame and bite it normally has, I think too much ginger perhaps. **Edited star rating recently from 2 to 4** The manager reached out to me and made things right. Stunned with the great customer service at this location, usually no one cares, but they showed me differently. Bumping rating up to 4 stars, because I will be back, and will update my review at that time. My previous gripes were with the quantity of food delivered, not the quality or taste, we will see soon how the next round goes :)!

Everyone was so attentive and it seemed like they really had the stuff together organization wise . All the toppings where perfectly prepared . I had Ryan as my salad chef ! He did an amazing job and was so helpful and considerate walking me through the vegan options !

Still not sure why I proceeded with this $15 purchase at this location today--maybe to spare the kid preparing it or maybe I was making a mental note not to come back here again. The toppings added were the equivalent of one tablespoon each. I could have purchased the same ingredients at that price and made more than four salads. The topping serving sizes were so small that I wound up removing over 1/2 the lettuce from the bowl in order to get to something more edible.

I was so excited to have a sweetgreen in Ashburn (even though I prefer Chopt) but every time I go to this location I'm underwhelmed. I'm always left waiting to be greeted while 2-3 employees are at the checkout for some reason. It also seems like they are still training after months of this place being open. I have no idea how they are able to handle a lunch rush. Also if I'm paying $13 for a salad, I'd expect them to be more generous with the toppings. They would do well to have some Reston staff come onsite for a week or two.

So disappointed in the opening. Nothing like Chop'd or other salad places. My meal was mostly rice, very little protein and greens. Very little drink options. Stood in line for 30 minutes. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Management should note there should be more staff working the line rather than the back and check out. Processing was extremely slow. Will try again.

Happy to have a healthy, quick, AND delicious option for lunch! Get the chipotle chicken bowl. It is so delicious, and I'm sad it will only be offered for a limited time. For next time I order it, I think I will ask for a light helping of the salsa because of the heat. You can definitely taste and see how fresh the food is. I would have liked my serving to be bigger but perhaps that's how you keep it healthy. :) The staff is still in training. With time, I'll come to expect that they will know what goes in each bowl by heart and how the food is served (round or rectangular bowl). But despite still being in training, my wait time from placing my order to receiving it was maybe 5 minutes, which is fine by me. There are a few tables where you can eat inside. If you want to eat outside, there are a couple of tables on the sidewalk. Kudos to sweetgreen for serving their food in compostable bowls!

Things change quickly! I went from loving the food and service to questioning what is going on. My favourite bowl was ordered and masticated at the end of the process. I did not want my bowl mixed and brutalised. Explained I did not want my bowl mixed.... Oh sorry, just doing the numbers??? I am finding fruit flies hanging around my bowl? No cups for tap water. I can drink from my bowl. Wow, that was a short run.

I just ordered the new salad with peaches to go. I checked the salad before leaving and noticed it was missing some ingredients mainly goat cheese. I stood there for 10 minutes, there were no customers in there but the workers ignored me. Finally I got someone's attention in the back kitchen. She did confirm the missing goat cheese and added it. Check your salads! Never had this problem in Reston.

Extremely disappointed by how untrained the employees are. They don't know how to mix salads and they don't fill the bowls up all the way. It's like everything is coming from their own pockets. I've heard if you come even 1 hour before they close, they're out of most ingredients.

A great Sweetgreen location! I have brought both my parents (who aren't usually big salad fans) here and everyone has enjoyed their meals. The portions have been good, the ingredients fresh, and the location clean. We did try the rosemary focaccia as part of an app offer, but it was nothing special.

This is not the sweetgreen we come to love and enjoy at other locations. I was at first so excited to have one 5 minutes away, but I rather drive the 25 minutes to the Reston location. I come to sweetgreen for a filling salad but the portion here are A LOT smaller comparable to all other locations, both times I purchased form here. They didn't even offer us bread. It was 7pm on a Friday evening and it seems like the workers were already getting ready to close up shop. We came in without any greeting, the person preparing our food had the most sour mood on his face and was slamming the garbage containers and cabinets for utensil storage by the door right next to where we sat multiple times. He seem to be the manager of the night and honestly if he was, there needs to be greater improvement from the top down on service and behavior. I understand staff having a bad day but, an unpleasant staff is going to cause an unpleasant experience. There were no forks available, the floor was wet with no caution cone, they didn't restock the lettuce when it was low and gave us even smaller serving in our Kale Caesar. Trust me, drive the extra 25 minutes to the Reston location to get your fill and a much better service.
