Sweet green is me and my girlfriend’s favorite spot to eat at in Birmingham. Nusrat has always taken care of us. She has great customer service and has honestly made it feel welcoming for us everytime we’ve come to eat.

Nusrat at Sweetgreen I had a fantastic experience at Sweetgreen, thanks to Nusrat! Their exceptional service made my visit memorable. Nusrat was friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about the menu, which made choosing my meal a delight. The food was fresh and delicious, with vibrant flavors that perfectly complemented the healthy ingredients. My favorite was the steak mezze. The atmosphere was inviting and lively, creating a great vibe for enjoying a meal. Highly recommend visiting and experiencing Nusrat's excellent service along with the amazing food at Sweetgreen! 🌱✨

Offering a large swath of salads with multiple proteins and a varied array of styles ranging from Korean to US standard salads. I found the taste great and service friendly and helpful. The open and modern interior is very relaxing and it felt like every table and booth had an outlet making it a great place to keep your electronics charged. The location is prime as it sits on the nexus of Maple & Old Woodward. Price points seem slightly above average. Also the food feels above average too.

I must say this is by far the cleanest and freshest Sweetgreens I’ve been to. For some reason the young lady Jada always lands on assisting me when it’s my turn and she is amazing. Great attitude, remembers my order and always suggests I try new items. I’ve been to other sweetgreen locations and it’s sad to say that majority of the time, the lettuce is either wilted or brown and the ingredients do not look up to par. I’ve never had a bad meal at this Birmingham location. Keep it up!

Jada Griffin customer service was top tier! Very professional and knowledgeable. She was able to help make a great selection, Steak& rice with the vegetables was a 10 out of 10!!! Definitely enjoyed myself and will be referring to all friends and family!! And don’t forget to ask for Jada, she will make the whole experience so enjoyable. Sweetgreen is always a great healthy option! I love the atmosphere at this location. It’s always clean, the food is fresh, and the staff is amazing. People like Nusrat make coming back enjoyable. My boyfriend and I are regulars here and her customer service is always top tier!

Sweet green is one of those places to go to if you want high quality food without sacrificing your health nor tastebuds. Nusrat is the best and kindest employee there, no hate or dis to any of them they are all amazing. Would recommend for everyone to try atleast once in their life!

I’ve recently started to visit this location and it’s been great. Today, I was serviced by Jada and she did an excellent job communicating with me to ensure my order was correct. She was friendly, quick and made me feel welcomed. I recommend this location if you’re looking for a quick bite, a chill environment and good service.

Just got into town to visit my son. Of course we're hungry and looking for a place to get lunch. My sister suggested your place b/c she's been to the one in Indianapolis, IN. Got our salad bowls to go. They were really good. The chicken was nice and tender. I loved the variety of toppings as well. Thanks for the greens!!!

First time trying this spot. Recommend from wife and her coworkers. Great selections for bowls. The harvest bowl with tofu was great I had the Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes also. The service was excellent they helped me navigate the menu and opt. The Birmingham location I the closest to us and it has great ambience.

Must say I have driven by this place so many times and even picked up food for family but finally stopped in to try this place and pleasantly surprised it was so good i really like this place off old Woodward road. It's a must stop and try. Sweet greens Brussels is a delicious choice. The staff were very helpful and nice.

This is only my second time ever inside a sweetgreen but I can safely say it was an excellent experience. The ingredients are so fresh, the assembly is so fast, and the service is kind. I ordered a salad from the preset menu but made some alterations as it was being assembled. The final result was delicious perfection! I believe the star ingredients were the addition of the portobello mushrooms, fried onion topping, and substitution of the green goddess ranch dressing. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture! The restaurant itself is well-lit and has a serene vibe. It's inviting and if I wasn't on the go, I would have eaten my food there.

Im torn on sweet green. I think flavor wise, what I ordered was very good. I ended up getting the Carmalized Garlic streak which comes with wild rice, spicy broccoli, tomatoes, sweet potato and pesto vinaigrette. Once again taste wise, I would say I liked it but I think overall the portion sizes left much to be desired. It seems many restaurants lately are catching heat for their small portion sizes. I assume that I could've ordered double for certain items as well. Now, the bowl was already almost $20 due to having added avocado, so I think adding double meat or sweet potato would've just put it over the edge price wise. All in all, the food was good and if I were to come back, I would perhaps avoid a bowl and try a salad instead.

I came here with a friend and arrived during lunch time. It was overall pretty busy which is always a good sign. I feel like overall, it was a little too saucy for both items. They were out of blackened chicken and were able to provide a sub however I do feel they underestimated demand so adjusting for that would be nice. Overall, healthy decent food.

This was my first time here as a paying customer - I went to the soft opening a year or two ago, I think, and now my work has moved to Birmingham so I was able to walk here for lunch today. Everything here is very tasty but I am docking one star for the high prices; my steak bowl was about $16 after tax. Last time I was here I think I got the chicken pesto salad, or maybe it's a chicken pesto bowl. It was very good. I had been seeing advertisements for the caramelized garlic steak so I got a steak bowl this time. I'm not a big fan of wild rice but otherwise everything was delicious - it came with warm sweet potato, spicy broccoli (perfect amount, I can't really handle spice), the steak, tomatoes, and a pesto dressing. I generally only drink water at meals, especially at lunch, and their water machine was acting up but they had a pitcher of water instead, so they gave me a glass of it. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, I opted for indoor but a lot of people were sitting outside today since it's a nice day out. They had sent me coupons in the mail but because it was just me today, I used the free side coupon, which basically just got me some focaccia. You could ask for foccacia with hummus but I don't like hummus. Overall I did feel like I had a healthier meal here than I would have anywhere else in the area, especially for fast casual, but the price does reflect that.

A little on the pricey side for a quick service meal, but the ingredients are super fresh, from scratch, and delicious. We got complimentary bread because it was close to closing time, which was great (much better than letting it go to waste). An awesome healthy meal option. I wish there was one closer to home.

After being on the road for several hours and after all the good eats in Chicago, we decided we wanted something for dinner that was on the healthier side. I have always heard about sweetgreen and wanted to always try so this was perfect! Think of cava, fresh kitchen, bolay, it gives those kind of healthy bowl vibes which is always up my alley. I did a create your own bowl and I wish the guy who made my bowl gave me suggestions because even my husband saw I was struggling trying to figure out what things to add in my bowl. Nevertheless, my bowl was delicious! The only thing I would change is getting the ranch for my bowl instead of the balsamic vinegar but everything else was yummy! I added all the things I normally eat so tofu, mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, pickled onions, kimchi cucumbers, cheese, arugula mixed with spring mix. They were out of the ripple potato fries but we had sourdough bread. The hubby enjoyed his bowl too. Great place to eat when trying to stick with healthier options I also wished it was in the city of Detroit versus further out. Hopefully that changes and they put one in the heart of the city!

This was my 1st here and I absolutely love the salads here so many tasty options, and the Birmingham location is perfect on a warm summer day. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and every green you can think of to enjoy a delicious salad just the way you like it. Shila took care of me and she had incredible customer service!! I will definitely be back!!

Food bowls are an excellent choice for healthy, varied dietary choices. I am severely limited with what I can eat. This is one place I can order from and find everything to my liking. Our office did a catering order from them first and then a couple of us tried it again, a different week for lunch. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the fresh food.

Ok, so I'm a little confused here. Many of the previous reviews were decrying that the salads were small, but that has not been my experience the few times I've gotten carryout. First time was the the beginning of December 2022. I always do the "Create Your Own" salad. Lots of options to choose from. Fresh and delicious salads and outstanding dressings. I really enjoyed the Spicy Cashew Dressing, its ACTUALLY a little spicy, go figure! The app is really easy to use and you know when you put together your order if they are out of something. Location is bright, clean and attractive. Parking isn't that bad depending on time of day, it's Birmingham... As to value, one of my primary criteria, it's a decent value. Here's what $12.45 got me a "Create Your Own" that was more than enough for a full meal. I checked for the meat and fish people, and chicken is an additional $3 and steelhead salmon is an additional $5. Most other premium items i.e. tofu, avocado etc are $1-$2 I have, so far, enjoyed the food I've gotten there. Would recommend.

While the food is a bit overpriced (IMHO), it is a healthy food alternative in the downtown BHam area. So, why 3 Stars? My office has ordered from here about 4-5 times, and EVERY TIME the food is not ready on time. I'd rather be given a realistic timeframe, rather than having one of my employees wait there for 15-20 minutes. NOT COOL. So, the 3 Stars is bc the price point is high and the food is never ready on time. The positive side of the 3 Stars is because the employees are always kind and helpful, and the food tastes great. I'd suggest coming here and ordering ahead of time, but arriving a good 12-15 minutes later than they tell you.

Went here for the first time today! They have indoor and outdoor seating that was nice. My boyfriend and I got a steak bowl to split and we were both full after eating. The food was good but I personally don't think it's worth the price. We paid $20 for one bowl, they also charge for extra toppings (50 cents each extra). They did fill the bowl mostly with greens and everything else was a pretty small scoop!

I've never been to Sweetgreen before and will def be back! The woman that helped me choose my meal was very helpful. Ordering the Italian Chopped, I was pleasantly pleased. Loaded with salami, chic peas, kale, romaine, cukes, it was extremely tasty and quite large! Asked if I wanted heavy, medium or lite dressing amount, I went with the medium - a little too much. But served with bread, Sweetgreen and the Italian Chopped are winners!

I really don't understand how anyone likes this place. I got the kale Caesar salad with the miso glazed salmon and the guacamole greens salad both with chicken. The chicken on both salads was horrible, dry gross pieces of chicken that I wouldn't give to my dog. But the chicken doesn't compare to how disgusting the salmon was. It smelled fishy and tasted 100 times worse. I dont have anything to say about the guacamole greens salad other than the chicken on that one was gross as well.

I'm not usually super into salad franchises when I'm out, just because I'm more inclined to other options, and salad doesn't usually fill me up. Apologies. However, I was starving and was only allowed to eat greens and grains one day. Then I walked past this place and decided, hey, why not? I went for one of their warm bowl, called shroomami. It turns out pretty good! First, healthy bowls tend to be discouraging because the portions run small, especially for the price, and I got hungry again in about 2 hours. That is not the case here. They give a decent, satisfying portion. Second, the combination of veggies and grains was good. Lots of texture without feeling like I'm chewing on grass. The sauce is good too. I would give it a 3.5, but I'll round it up to 4 because the experience was positive overall. Good service. Clean, spacious dining area. Good ambiance

The photo doesn't do this salad justice since they mixed it all up but I am obsessed with the summer peach and goat cheese salad. It's got spring mix, shredded kale, almonds, peaches, cucumbers, peaches and I added roasted chicken. The balsamic dressing is amazing, the cherry on top. I also love that their salad bowls are large enough so that the toppings don't spill over. It was really busy when I came for lunch but the lines moves pretty quickly. There are a few tables inside and and couple outside with umbrellas.

I had never heard of sweetgreen but as I was walking to the bakery next door I was intrigued. While I enjoyed coffee with my friend I looked at the sweetgreen menu. The highlighted menu item sounded delicious and I knew I had to try it. A Chicken pesto parm bowl looked amazing. I placed my order online: I added cucumbers and removed the hot sauce. My food was ready in less than 10 mins. When I walked inside it was a very modern clean space. Online orders are on a shelf near the door and hooks on the wall hold bags for you to use if you want. I like that the item includes a tag letting you know what's in your order and there is a reminder to eat the food while fresh. It actually lists a time to eat the food by. When I got home and opened my bowl I was pleasantly surprised. It was filled to the top and the ingredients were fresh. I wish I had requested 2 of that pesto dressings, I will next time.

So glad to have sweetgreen open in the area. It is a perfect go-to when you want something a little lighter. A couple of our favorites are the Buffalo chicken bowl and the crispy rice bowl. The zaatar breadcrumbs are to die for on any of the bowls! We love the different dressing options and that you can order three without additional charge. The Caesar isn't my favorite but I like to add the balsamic vinaigrette and drizzle that + the Caesar - that's a winning combo! The issue we've run into is that they're often out of ingredients. We have wanted to order sweetgreen but chosen not to when three or so items are missing from every bowl. Another concern we have is that the toppings aren't consistently generous, especially the protein. We always wish we had more chicken because it has to only be 2 oz or so in a serving. We'll keep going back because we do love the offerings! Hoping they can work on stocking items and *maybe* being a little more generous with toppings.

This was my first time here and I didn't know what to expect. I walked in and decided I'd build my own bowl so I can try everything. They have preset bowls on the menu that also looked good. The worker was very nice, and let's me get as many dressings on the side as I wanted to try. I would definitely come back for a quick healthy lunch.

Salads are good. I have ordered them many times. However, lately, my salads have been delivered without the dressing, which makes me believe the quality, the oversight of management concerning customer satisfaction has been eliminated. The price does not justify the lack of service.

Welcome to Birmingham, SweetGreen! I love the build your own salad concept so I was psyched to check out this new salad shop! It's bigger inside than I expected so you can dine eat or carry out. I got the kale Caesar and added avocado and chickpeas. It is additional for each item you add so you might be better off building your own salad unless you are getting something with a bunch of toppings. They mixed it up real good and have a piece of bread with the salad. I'll def be back because I want to try more options. My husband liked it a lot too!

Sweetgreen is finally open for business downtown Birmingham! I've been looking forward for this place to open up - for those days when you just want to get something quick and healthy (& don't want a pizza or a croissant). It's still rather chaotic but Hopefully, as staff gets trained up and new-opening lines rescind - it will get faster and more organized experience. If you don't want to wait in line there is an app you can download and have your order ready for pick up on the rack upfront. (They are advertising $5 credit for first online order through the app). You can order salad from a pre-set menu or build your own. We ordered Caesar Kale salad (added roasted corn too) & Buffalo chicken salad. Both were good, fresh, generous size portion. All in all you can make your salad as fabulous as you dream up for it to be - selection of ingredients is pretty large. There is seating indoors and three small tables outside for those lucky few to get to them first.

The food was fantastic! I wanted something healthy so I ordered a bowl that included quinoa, greens, avocado, and chicken. I was not disappointed. I don't live near a Sweetgreen (I went to the one in the Detroit, MI area and I live in CT), sadly. But I'd definitely order from there again if given the opportunity.

I used to really like sweetgreen and have dined at several locations in different cities over the years. Rarely had anything go wrong back then. This location seems to have some issues though, or it could just be that the company has started to go downhill in general. Corporate HQ needs to be checking up on these stores more often as they are ruining customers' perception of the brand. Instead of two containers of dressing, now you only get one. Even if you request bread, you might not receive it because they "forget" to include it or are simply out. Same goes for "extra" ingredients you actually pay for. Oh, and they always seem to be out of basic ingredients here, like avocados or the crunchy toppings that go on the salads. If you want to eat here, I'd suggest going in person to make sure they have everything you want. Takeout orders or delivery always seem to be screwed up somehow from this location. Considering that it costs around $50 to get two salads delivered there is no excuse for this at all. One more thing: last time I went to the location in person the trash bins were overflowing and the tables were dirty. Not good.

A bunch of us decided to go to Little Daddy's for lunch today as we always did before covid . Much to our surprise we were greeted by our wonderful favorite wait staff Dawn who we love. Her kindness,and attention to all of our need has not changed. Knowing she is still working there will have all of us looking forward to keeping this tradition of a delicious lunch at little daddy's with Dawn.

The food here is delicious but it has a nice price tag on it. They also charge for every little thing which is annoying. If you are wanting a drink and you're looking for your typical sweet treat to top off your meal DO NOT get their organic lemonade it's horrible and tastes like a cold dose of nothing. The service was fast and the inside was spacious and clean so I suppose it would be a nice place to sit down and have a meal. I just did not.

First off, this was my time going. I walked in and was informed, I was early and that they wouldn't open for another 15 minutes. Of course I felt embarrassed. lol but QUINN, assured me it was no big deal. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me choose the right options for my salad. He allowed me to try tofu, for the first time ever. He was very very nice and KIND. In a world running out of kindness, I will forever be customer, just because Quinn had amazing customer service and he was beyond polite and helpful. The Salad had to be the best salad I've eaten! I had spinach, romaine, apples, cucumbers, broccoli and bread crumbs. Quinn suggested some spicy dressing! I loved it! I loved the entire experience! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Quinn, you rock! You made my day, and I'll be directing everyone I know to come and check you guys out!! Thanks again!

I love Sweetgreen, but I must say that I strongly disapprove of the unshredded carrots. It's a new change they seem to have made at my location, and for the amount I'm paying, I feel as though I should not have huge chunks of carrots in my salad. Bring the shredded carrots back to get a five star review! #ShreddedCarrotsForTheWin!

I was so hungry, I forgot to take a picture. There is a wide selection of healthy ingredients and a million combinations to try. I love that they give you a piece of bread with your salad. The lines are huge but tend to move very quickly. A great new addition to downtown Birmingham. $12 for a very large salad is a great price. I also like that calories are posted on everything. I will definitely be back.

My salad was gross! I didn't finish it. Even had a smell. The manager refused to give me a drink to wash down my throat, after seeing that I didn't even eat the salad. They had no feta cheese, beets, pickled turnips, banana peppers, or anything else I eat. Yikes. Wasted $15 on lettuce and chicken. Not Birmingham Worthy or hospitable at all.

Way overpriced for what it is. Paid $37.68 for two salads and two pops. The reason I had to buy the pops is because they had no cups for water. What kind of restaurant has no cups???Send the manager out to buy some. Half the time I go there they're out of bread also. It's a whole different story from the week they open when they had about nine people working and they bent over backwards to help you. They really seem to care less last. They cared more about filling the orders for GrubHub.

Very disappointing experience overall. We ordered several salmon dishes that could not have had more than 3 oz of protein. A blackened chicken dish came essentially unseasoned. And finally, each build your own dish had substantially less product compared to the featured items. I understand people may feel this is an individual looking for "typical large" portions; however, we are a health conscious family and appreciate appropriate portions. Definitely not worth the upcharge for purported elevated quality.

Waited for service about 10 minutes...even though there were plenty of employees and few customers. Ordered the Harvest Bowl and it tasted great. Would order again! The atmosphere was great...modern, clean and organized.

Extremely stingy workers. I'll happily pay $15-20 for a good salad, but this place barely fills the bowls. I don't understand how these workers can fill half a small scoop of chicken and think that's reasonable for $4. Won't be back to this location

i am a sweetgreen fanatic- it is the first place i visit when i'm in miami or california.. however, this location has completely missed the mark. the portion size is a little less than what i'm used to at other locations. also, i have ordered carry out twice at this location and they forgot my side of sweet potatoes both times. i'm not sure if it's because they're overwhelmed, or if they're low on product.. i just know that this is not what i'm used to when visiting other locations. i'll probably try again if they can get it together. otherwise, i'll save my craving for california or miami locations.

Really quick and really good. Great place to grab an on the go healthy lunch. Great menu choices too
