"Eating Sweetgreen’s mostly-organic fare makes you feel like you’re nourishing the heck out of yourself. That’s a great way to feel, even when it costs 10 smackers. They’ve got something to suit everyone, from vegans to carnivores, so unless you don’t eat vegetables you’re set. Rather than wait in a line that often snakes out the door around lunchtime, order online before 10am and your salad, bowl or soup will be waiting for you. Sensitive flowers beware, most of Sweetgreen’s dressings will leave you feeling garlicky. If you’ve got an afternoon meeting, opt for the balsamic vinaigrette or olive oil with a squeeze of lemon." - Branding Iron @ Stantec

They say you have to eat a pound of dirt before you die, but did it have to come in a single serving? I've been going to this location every week for the past three months and have never had a problem before today. They didn't wash the vegetables so the salad was gritty. When I first started eating my salad, I hoped it was an anomaly. But almost every bite had sand/dirt in it. I was very disappointed, and frankly it ruined my meal.

Google
Not a fan of salads in general, but I really enjoy their bowls and plates, especially hot honey chicken. I come here like once every 4 months or so for 2 years, and the quality is still there. Restaurant is clean, elegant, and plenty of seating.

Google
I could not finish my salad bowl so I asked the cashier for a bag and she said it would be 5 cents. I did not have cash on me and had to purchase the bag for 5 cents using my card. This ruined my experience of going to this place and I wished I could get a refund for the tip I gave her just for processing my order! There’s a lot of places to eat around that area! Recommend you skip this place! Loosing a customer over 5 cents is just a poor business model!

Google
Used to be a daily Sweetgreen customer (for years), but stopped after several bad experiences: consistently missing key ingredients (early in the day), not mixing salads (or 'bowls'), no longer offering bread with the plate, increasing prices over 30% ($18 for a steak salad with no adjustments), and now asking for a tip every time I go. Total waste of a formerly good brand / store. Go to the deli down the street for better salads and service and significantly lower prices

I asked for extra tortillas on my salad and then she put three individual tortillas on my salad, so she asked if I am okay with extra charge! I said fine and she added two more 😶, what kind of service is that???

Google
Sweetgreen has some of the best salads around! I love how big and filling their meals are, whether it be a warm bowl or normal salad. I tend to get the hot honey chicken plate because the chicken is really high quality and tastes so good. You really can’t go wrong and it’s great how customizable each salad is. Remove and add at will! Lastly, their online ordering system is great. They always have it ready before I go to pick it up, which just makes everything easier! Thanks, Sweetgreen!

Google
So good! It was my first time at Sweetgreen, I had the Shroomami, and I'm surprised how good is it! It's fresh and tasty, perfect. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Food: This is the first SG I've been to where I felt like the quality was lacking. The veggies didn't feel as fresh, and the chicken was cold (usually the warm chicken is the best part). Service: I ordered through the app but it was still a bit of a wait time. I understand it is a busy high traffic area though, and it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon; so I didn't mind. Ambiance: Nothing special inside (I felt it could be cleaner), but there are lots of outdoor seating areas near by where La Colombe is. Overall, I think I've been to better SG locations in Boston.

Yelp
Came here on a chilly Saturday around 2pm and there was a steady flow of people coming in but not too busy! Sat a couple tables from the door and felt the chill of the doors opening each time someone entered Staff was neutral; other locations typically load the toppings on the bowls nicely but this location seemed to skimp a bit more. The bread at all sweetgreens tends to leave much to be desired and this location was no different. I'm obsessed with their sweet potatoes and they were delish as always. The lemonade looked trendy and good but was also a bit of a letdown. Either way the salads taste great and are a staple in our meals out.

Mag T.

Yelp
Delicious! If you're craving a salad this place never disappoints. So many combinations the options are endless. Ordered the avocado ranch salad it was amazing! Friendly staff.

Annie D.

Yelp
Full transparency, I'm not a salad person, so sweetgreen is just okay for me. I had to go with my team while in town for work but wouldn't pick this place for myself. I build my own bowl with things that I'll eat but even that is just okay. I know people are big fans but to me, it just okay and I don't even like the protein options available. This is personal preference for me since it's just not my favorite type of food and that's all they do.

Amina R.

Yelp
Fresh- there are so many options and combinations of salads, this place is definitely part of my lunch time rotation.

Emily M.

Yelp
I love sweetgreen. Every location I've been to in Los Angeles has been amazing. I work in the service industry in the Seaport so I completely understand mistakes happen. Unfortunately there's maybe been one occasion - out of probably 15 - where the food was prepared correctly. However I've only ever had mediocre service. Management should definitely look into retraining staff or at least be present to monitor how they treat customers. They're never apologetic and most employees I've dealt with make it seem like you did something wrong when they've made a mistake.

Joanna C.

Yelp
I realize all my Sweetgreen reviews are about the Harvest Bowl, but hopefully it's a good proxy. I'm a sucker for Sweetgreen so naturally stopped by to grab a quick Harvest Bowl for dinner. Got there around 8 PM and it was empty, score! Quickly jumped in line and ordered. The person helping me wasn't particularly friendly and didn't even ask if I wanted bread. Which is fine because I didn't, but still feel like she should've at least asked! The bowl itself was tasty. Good portions and flavors. My only complaint is some of the rice grains were really hard. Which I couldn't tell until it went into my mouth, but still edible! Not my favorite Sweetgreen but still a solid one.

Chris H.

Yelp
got food poisoning here 1/17/2024. ordered harvest bowl add quinoa. 6 hours later had nausea followed by the runs and vomiting

Vanessa A.

Yelp
ordered the Featured Hot Honey Chicken plate- excellent! The dressing was perfect and did not dominate the dish. WhT a great spot at a reasonable price! There are limited seats but you should be able to get one.

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Having heard about this chain and not having it in my hometown, I wanted to check this place out. I got the avocado salad, and I was definitely impressed. It had a lot of flavor, and the ingredients definitely tasted fresh without seeming overbearing - like those salads loaded with a couple thousand calories. The dressing tasted quite lean in calories, yet it was really tasty. Price was also good. I paid about $11 for the salad. I'd definitely frequent this place if I lived or worked around one of these chains.

Yelp
Sweetgreen is still my favorite "go to", when it comes to healthy, delicious eating. Recently, this location has been VERY disappointing with their Customer Service. The employee was not only unpleasant, but RUDE, as it seems that I interrupted their "play time", when I came in to order my salad. Disappointing!

Leah K.

Yelp
Now that I'm writing this, I realize I've never had a bad experience with Sweetgreen. I typically use the Chestnut Hill location, but I've been to the Seaport one twice, including yesterday during Social Distancing. All you have to do is order online, go right over step in the door (you can't go further than the door) and say your name! It's fast, it's easy...and I really need some vegetables. I went with my old standby, Kale Cesar, with some adjustments (I don't like tomatoes so i swap for cucumbers) but the dressing is bomb paired with a squeeze of lime. Oh and their new topping of blackened chicken. Perfect amount of spice!

Park G.

Yelp
New location in Seaport with all new construction and open seating. I would complain about the service as I came around 8 pm on Monday and there was only one worker making salads/cashiering. There were two workers but one was cleaning up. The same worker also went ahead to put on gloves to make their own salad and sitting down to eat instead of helping the other worker. I would suggest that if there are lines that the workers prioritize serving the customers first as I saw three customers walk out I less than 10 minutes. Food is good. Service not so much.

Bea W.

Yelp
Very reliable salads and they do their best to have fast service. Good variety and healthy foods

Phoebe C.

Yelp
This is the 5th time that I have found something that shouldn't belong in my salad. I've found bugs, twigs and this time hair. Haven't ordered in a while since my last order had a fly in it. Decided to give it another try and this time I found a hair at a the bottom of my bowl. Very disappointed.

Tamara W.

Yelp
This place just opened the other day and dang that cauliflower salad (swapped tofu instead of chicken) is da bomb. they also were able to make it vegan with the spicy cashuew dressing. the girl was super nice and everyone was friendly. and at 2pm there was zero line, too. love the ambiance: open air, nice seating, right across from where i work, and everyone is really quick and efficient. price point is good too; that salad was just 10 bucks which is actually cheap i think compared to that by chloe nonsense. will be back fo sho!

Joyce T.

Yelp
My favorite Sweetgreen location. Very clean. Friendly service. Never a long wait.

Alisa L.

Yelp
I love Sweetgreen beyond reason. I go to some location of Sweetgreen maybe three/four times a week. This location was the absolute worst. It's worth walking an extra five minutes to another Sweetgreen location if you work nearby here. And as a disclaimer, I contacted Sweetgreen about the problems here and they refunded me and wrote me a nice email. So my complaints are really location specific and I gave an extra star because I love Sweetgreen. 1) The lady gave me less food than you usually get. Like noticeably less. Even less of the kale (and why would you skimp on kale, like come on). At some point, she put in some sweet potatoes into my bowl and then took some out. That's just cruel. 2) The lady just did not care. She didn't ask if I had any substitutions, or even make eye contact. She took my order and started half-heartedly filling the bowl. I tried getting her attention many times, but she just did not pay attention. I had to basically scream to get her attention so I could ask for a substitution. Same thing with bread. She didn't ask and closed the lid even though I was saying "excuse me" and trying to get her attention to get bread. By the way, every other location I have been to automatically asks me if I want bread/substitutions. 3) They were painfully slow. There wasn't much of a line when I went but for some reason, it took like twenty minutes to place my order and get my bowl. The servers spent a hefty time chitchatting. In fact, it may be worth walking to the other Sweetgreen because you would probably still get your bowl faster.

Nick M.

Yelp
Surprised to see the review average is so low as I order from here at least 3-4 times per week and am always pleased - food is fresh and tasty and the staff are polite and efficient. Team member Erica tonight was particularly friendly and helpful and deserves a shoutout!

Evan J.

Yelp
I typically don't care about service (good or bad), so it's truly exceptional that I'm this irritated. Here's my take on my last visit here (hopefully last ever): I show up at 8:20 p.m.-- four people in line. Four people are actively working (all prepping food, cleaning, etc). TEN minutes go by with no one getting served! Five minutes pass with ONE guy making everyone's salads until it's finally my turn. Instead of making my salad he starts cleaning (Fine, whatever, gotta do a little cleaning now and then). Then the guy (with the help of one other person) makes 3 salads for a TAKEOUT ORDER. No one is waiting on these salads and no one came for them by the time I left. REALLY?! Guy goes back to cleaning for a minute and the other guy goes back to food prep (I literally sighed out loud). It's 20 minutes since I walk in and he finally starts my salad (out of the arugula and bread, whatever...) and skimps on the chicken. I ask for a little more and he charges me extra for it. People who were behind me had already left at this point in frustration. This is a slightly (and only slightly) extreme example of what happens to me 4/5 times I go here. Vote with your wallet; don't make my mistake. I've finally learned from it.

Yelp
I've always loved Sweetgreen but this location has to be the worst. This new location has the worst customer service and is the least professional out of any of the Boston locations. It's pretty tough to mess up a salad but this place is up for that challenge. The employees are constantly joking and chatting with each other instead of focusing on the customer and even though it's a job, they sure don't act like they want to be there. This location should watch how the other ones operate for one day. For example the Fort Point one down the street handles more customers in a more efficient and friendly manner. I live in Seaport yet I'm willing to walk to a different Sweetgreen because of how poorly run this location is.

Sungeeta A.

Yelp
I am surprised at the negative reviews. I have come here twice and both times walked out within minutes with a freshly made and delicious salad. I may have come at off times, but it seems like this location is less busy than the Fort Point Sweetgreen. It's also very clean and I found the service to be excellent. Sweetgreen Seaport will definitely be my preferred location!

Penny L.

Yelp
Love, love, love sweetgreen! Wish we had them where I live. Fresh, healthy, and delicious food. The juices are also great!

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Was craving a Caesar salad so I ordered one online. I had my husband pick it up on his way home from work. I open it up and it is missing shrimp and has kale instead of romaine. I paid extra for both of those things. I try to call them and it's an automated number, I can't even speak to someone. I have to text the customer service line or email. 13 dollars later I have a salad I don't even want eat. Why even have a order online service if you can't get it right? This isn't the first time this has happened either, I'm just pissed off about it enough now to review. Changed my review from a one star to a three because they gave me a refund and were professional and nice. Still pissed but feeling a bit better now.

Yelp
03/14/19 Update: 12:32pm - I thought I'd give SG another try but due to my earlier in-person experience, I thought I'd use the App. The App (which by the way is really user friendly) worked great- allowed me to customize my order, however, when I got to the checkout step, it asked me to "choose my pick up time" and the earliest time offered was 1:45!! 1 hour 13 mins from my ordering time... Really??? For a salad? In comparison, B'Good, Frank Anthony's, Tatte, Honey Grow, etc... all have online ordering and the max pick up time I've experienced is 20 mins. SG's has great food and great staff, they are just not competitive when it comes to the run person or online ordering experience. Hope they can fix this! I'm rooting for them :-)

Micaela C.

Yelp
I love sweetgreen, and go multiple times a week. I've had so many great experiences at other stores- the one by my Fenway office can fly through their lines and the staff is always amazing. But I've had so many bad experiences at this particular sweetgreen that I felt compelled to write a review. They are painfully slow a even when there's only a handful of people in line it can still take you 15-20 minutes to get your salad made. The staff is consistently checked out and acts like you're bothering them. They are ALWAYS out of ingredients, and often won't tell you that key ingredients are missing from a salad you ordered until halfway through making it. So you have to either accept that, or ask them to start over and get something different which will get you major eye rolls. Also, I should know better by now, but their dressing measurements are way off. A medium will often get you something that resembles a lettuce soup. Get a better staff in here sweetgreen- this place is making your brand look bad. We live above it, and I still think we're going to make the walk to the fort point one and avoid coming here anymore.

Brando G.

Yelp
My first time at this fast casual salad place but I'm familiar with the concept. I was very happy with my experience overall both with service and food. I read the reviews for this particular location and I will say my service experience was above average. Came in for late lunch so not much of a crowd and my order was taken quickly. The bowl I ordered was delicious and I did take the heavy pour on the dressing so the calorie count was on the higher end for my bowl but it was worth it! The only two things I can think of as grievances are my wife didn't get asked if she wanted a bowl to dine in so she got a disposable albeit biodegradable bowl. She's very pro climate so she was disappointed in that so remember to remind them if it's a dine in or to go order. The other item is really on me which is I paid the same price for this salad bowl as I would for a Chipotle bowl and being a guy, the meat, cheese, and all the heavy ingredients mentally haunted me as my wife paid the bill haha. I digress but will end with give this place a try for the food and for the service.

Jd N.

Yelp
RUDE employees! I've come here a number of times but today the employees Alana and Lizette were bothered that they had to work. I love sweet greens salads but I'll be looking for another location. Don't hide from your customers it's embarrassing to your establishment.

Alexis F.

Yelp
I've given this sweet green many chances but after tonight I felt compelled to write a review. In the past they've missed key ingredients (like goat cheese that I got charged for!!) only to realize when I've gotten home. I've been recently going for dinner and they have 2-3 people working and it seems they prioritize everything else above serving customers. They move at a glacial pace and it has taken 20 minutes to order a salad with 4 people in front of me. Lots of the ingredients were almost out which means they skimp on the portion size... which just doesn't make the price worth it :(

Violet H.

Yelp
This is the worst Sweetgreen that I've frequented. Yes, it's a national chain, so how hard can it be to screw up simple instructions passed out to every location on salad-making? Well this location has repeatedly disappointed me. I'm not spending $15 on vegetables to be disappointed over and over again. They overdo the worst and cheapest ingredients in every bowl, they don't crush up the goat cheese (so you're stuck with globs of cheese and it's disgusting), and they don't fill up the bowl. I have watched these people put their huge salad making bowls under the counter still full of ingredients that could easily top my salad. My hunch is that they eat the leftovers when it's slow or empty. Nice guys. Don't waste your time. Walk to the Sweetgreen 10 minutes away, trust me, it'll be worth it. I've complained to corporate and they were very forgiving, but the employees at this location just don't get it.

Danielle M.

Yelp
My first ( long awaited) visit to sweetgreen was perfect.. my mom and I received excellent customer service from the moment we walked in the door until we left completely satisfied. Christian prepared our warm bowls explaining everything as he created what I consider to be a perfect meal. Three days later I am still obsessing over the pure deliciousness and over the top customer service. I will definitely be back!

Alicia T.

Yelp
Thankful for the kind service from Hana kenyah and Zayla ! So sweet and the mood was amazing this late at night, their energy was great! Food was great, thank you !!

Erin M.

Yelp
I love their food but, they are kind of shady. I went in about 3x's a week and it seems that every time I went in the price would change $10.70, 11.70,12.70. I ordered it on line it would be $10.70 all the time. Mind you that I was always getting the same order. I asked for a brown bag to put my salad in and she pretened to look. Then she said No we don't. I pointed right behind her,"what is that then"?Then for some reason the last 2x's I ordered online it said the order went thru. I would go over to pick it up and it wasn't there. The money never came out of my account either.I am NEVER giving them my busy again. Hopefully you will as well.

Kate H.

Yelp
Food is healthy and fresh. No complaints there. However, the app is terrible and the food is never ready when they say it will be. Tonight the servers must have been having a bad night - they were so unprofessional (arguing with each other, throwing things around... not a smile to be seen).

A M.

Yelp
Way too slow. They need to hire more people or just figure out how to make operations faster. Only 2 people making salads with a line out the door.

Teddy P.

Yelp
This is one of the best establishments that I have been in in the Seaport area. THE STAFF was excellent and very helpful and was one on one with me with my order. I'm greatly appreciate each and every one of them. Even though the line was a bit long it was well worth the wait.. way to go Team Seaport!!!!!!

Chasity P.

Yelp
Great food and great customer service and clean restaurant. Highly recommended for vegetarian food.

john h.

Yelp
love sweetgreen but not this location. the line moves so slowly because they are over staffing the online orders while the people who show up in person to order just have to wait way too long. they also seem to always run out of ingredients (and then charge you premium for any substitutions??). it may be due to new location and inexperienced staff, but go to the Fort Point location instead. despite being smaller they move way faster and never run out of ingredients.

Erica F.

Yelp
Went to sweetgreen for lunch on my lunch break. The girl who waited on me spoke ZERO ENGLISH and has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE A SALAD. I ordered the Nancy's chopped and she stared at me like a deer in the headlights. ??? I told her to sub the Romaine lettuce for arugula and kale, and this had to be repeated about 3 times before she got it. Then I asked her to buy a side of wild rice as rice does not come with the salad. Again stared at me ??? Because she had NO UNDERSTANDING of what I was saying in ENGLISH. So after I told her about 5 times what I meant by a side of rice she finally got it. Then I had to watch her make the salad as she stared at each ingredient on the counter for about 5 minutes because she obviously doesn't know what is in it. I asked her to put feta cheese on it, but instead she put Parmesan cheese. Again because she DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. Then she missed about half of the ingredients that are supposed to be in it and put things on it that don't belong on it. I don't work there I Should not have to tell her that celery and cucumbers come on the salad. She also acted like each item is going to come out of her paycheck ??? I go here about 3 times a week and the portions are always the same and consistent. But not with this one today !! Then she asks me if I want Chic peas and salami on it. OBVIOUSLY. That is what is in the salad!!! Then we got to the dressing part. I had to tell her 3 times LIGHT DRESSING as she stared at each dressing bottle so of course I felt the need to ask her if that is The dressing that is supposed to come with the salad. My god. What an experience. Took me about 20 minutes to get the salad. It was annoying experience and lunch places are a dime a dozen in the seaport area so I will take my business else where until sweetgreen decides to hire people who speak AT LEAST A LICK OF ENGLISH and can COMPREHEND.
