This is our first time trying SG , we are familiar with this type of healthy food choices but “sweetgreen” did not impress us. The store is clean, street meter parking is available, my online experience was good. The food was ready for pick up as promised & my orders are correct. But the quality of food freshness compared to the store website photos are not the same. Please see photos below. The garlic steak plate , steak was overcooked and dry. Glad to try it but we won’t go back.

No greeting, sullen faces, and fatigue for miles. The employees seemed entirely dejected, over-worked, and miserable. There was not one single smile, how can I help you, etc. I feel for them. New fries were cold as heat lamp was broken. Asked about making a new batch, told it wasn’t possible and no more batches for the day. It was 1p. They did refund the fries, which was nice. Same experience as Hamid had a coupe months back… they stopped making order to fill online orders. I’m conflicted as food is decent, but experience makes you feel otherwise. UPDATE: In response to post, Management asked me to email them. No follow-up after 1 week.

I wanted ti express how disappointed and upset of the quality of my salad this evening. I go to This location every week to get my salad & protein. Bowls. Today they served my partner and I salads raw Sweet potatoes and they were very hard and hard to chew. When I went up showed my salad We were told this is the way they come. I have been eating here for long time and the sweet potatoes are cooked /rRoasted and soft not raw and hard as raw carrots! I will not be going to this location anymore and the avocados were old and brown. Extremely dissatisfied with this quality of salads and their customer service.

Worst Sweergreen experience ever and my daughter and I eat at Sweetgreen 6-8 times a month. Never coming back to this location. Watched 7 people walk out I was would have been one of them if not for my daughter and how amazing the 1 hardworking human being was making bowls and working the register. This is the location in Downtown Evan’s. Sad

Please close this place immediately. Or fire everyone immediately. Completely start over here or shut this place down. They never have any food, but you have to wait in line for an hour to find that out because there are 2 people in front of you and each bowl takes 30 minutes to make. But that makes sense because it’s 5 pm so of course they have run out of ingredients.

In general, I love sweetgreen and always consider it when I want a healthy quick lunch or dinner. I’ve eaten at sweetgreens many times while traveling and locally on the go (in NYC, Denver , chicago). Yesterday I returned to the location in Evanston, IL and it was all good except a big mistake by the prep team that created a problem for me. My go to meal is the tasty and high protein hummus crunch salad with chicken added. I placed an online / carry out order at 1:30 pm on a weekday that was supposed take 30 minutes to prep. Instead I was pleased to receive notification that it was ready in just 10 minutes. It’s a busy and congested area so I had to double park with the flashers on for my quick jump inside. The order was ready and clearly marked and both napkins and utensils were close by. I scooped up my order and drove to my lunch spot and was disappointed that they had forgotten to add the chicken that I ordered and paid for. Unfortunate I was too far away to return to the store to have them correct the problem. Later in the day I responded to the “contact us about your order” link in the original confirmation email and explained what happened, provide the attached pix and to request a refund. Sweetgreen customer service responded quickly and offered a credit against my next order. I reiterated my request for a refund back to my credit card which they quickly granted and processed. All’s well that ends well. I will continue to eat at sweetgreen locations including evanston. I hope they improve their attention to detail and quality assurance of order completeness.

I know food doesn't always live up to advertised pictures so my bad for not going in person for my first try at a Sweetgreen location, but the delivery I got was the most underwhelming order compared to the images. It doesn't have to be pretty, but the servings were so much smaller - like it's something I'd expect from a fast food chain, which is not what I expected from Sweetgreen's branding. Tiny sweet potatoes for $4+ missing the honey sauce, super skinny piece of salmon. The vegetables with the Miso Salmon I got were oddly sour & felt like they'd been sitting out for a long time. so all in all... maybe I'll go in-person, but for taste & portion for value I don't think I'll order again

Ambiance: First, it was quiet, extremely clean. I don't think I've seen a cleaner place! Menu was easy to navigate, the ingredients were fresh! Service: Si was our assistant and they were amazing, positive attitude, super helpful when answering questions. Definitely would come again. I usually order delivery and this was our first time coming in.

Ordered the caramelized garlic steak bowl for my husband (since he saw it on the Sweetgreen website and said it looked amazing) via Grubhub and it was delivered very quickly. However once it arrived, it was ice cold and about half the size as advertised.... He had to nuke it in the microwave and eat a second dinner. For almost $20, (and more with our delivery fees), this is absolutely not an appropriate amount of food to receive for what you are paying. It's a shame because it is tasty, but needless to say I don't think we will be back unless this issue is fixed for delivery orders.

I wasn't sure what I was really getting myself into, but I greatly enjoyed my first time at Sweetgreen. Its basically Chipotle, but if they only did salads. I was greatly impressed by the menu and the place looked super clean. I went with the Chicken Avocado without apples. It looks like you can customize quite a bit which was nice. I trusted the guy to put on enough dressing. I said that I like a good amount and he pulled through. The ingredients all seemed fresh and I really liked what I ate. It was a little weird at first with all the stuff, but it came out well! If I were to give it any criticism, this place isn't particularly cheap or fast. My bowl was over $15 which is a little much, but the portions are pretty large. Because of the customization, this place takes forever to order. Also, since the menu is so big, most workers can't remember all the ingredients so they have to refer to a cheat sheet. Not a problem, but lunch hour is quick! It also seemed like they had alot of workers, but only three working the front. I will surely be back, but I might treat this place as a little bit of a special occasion. They also don't have a large drink variety which is a little odd. Looks like they had some vegetarian options as well. Maybe for Lent? Nice to change it up from the cheese pizza!

I went to sweetgreen for the first time. I knew they served healthier options, but I wasn't really sure what to expect. After reviewing the menu, I chose the bbq chicken salad. I requested my dressings on the side. I ended up only using the one. I enjoyed the food and found it very filling. I ordered in the shop. One staff member was taking orders, and the other 3 were chopping veggies. My only concern on my visit was that the music was super loud, and the staff kept repeating himself while preparing my order. I would recommend.

The first time I ordered from sweet grain, I was blown away by the freshness and variety of ingredients and it was a beautiful salad. The last time -and I mean the last- the ingredients were not only sparse, but instead of balsamic dressing, they gave me soy sauce which because it looks similar. I put all over the salad and I hate soy sauce. It was so disgusting. I tried rinsing it off, but I didn't Eat the salad and they couldn't give me a refund because I ordered through GrubHub and this is unacceptable. I will never order from them again. Ever.

Delicious! The food is always fresh and the service is speedy. I usually do a build your own salad with tofu, a bunch of veggies, and the spicy cashew dressing. If they sold the spicy cashew dressing I would buy it by the gallon, it's the perfect mix of creamy, sweet and spicy. The layout of the restaurant is super open, and the huge windows let in a lot of natural light. I usually camp out at the sweetgreen after lunch and respond to emails/do work from the spacious (usually empty) tables.

I have been to so many different locations this one is the best when it comes to quality of the food! Other places just do not taste the same. I have tried over 5 different ones and I always come right back here! Idk what the deal was Friday with pick up I waited over an hour. Never experienced that before hopefully that'll never happen again. Other than that this is a 5 star location!

I went in tonight at about 8pm to pick up a delivery order and as I was walking up one employee was sitting in his Nissan Sentra smoking weed. The smell was so strong it lit up the block and the front of the establishment. Once inside this place was so disgusting and dirty. Two young ladies were overwhelmed and and a third with red orange hair walking around with a target bag offering her coworkers in the back twizzlers while she did absolutely nothing. The one guy came in from his smoke break and went back in the kitchen back to work. There were 8 delivery drivers including myself waiting for orders that had not been started AND 2 customers ordering good. I don't recommend eating here because it was so disgusting!

One of my favorite orders at sweet green is the buffalo chicken salad which is the main reason I go back. I love trying new things, but every time I do at sweet green, it just hasn't hit the spot. This time I was excited to try the seasonal peach and goat cheese salad - it wasn't substantial or unique. I will likely stick to the very occasional pick up order for the buffalo chicken salad until someone convinces me of another good order! Otherwise, I'd rather explore other salad spots.

I have ordered salads from this location on a couple of occasions. The salads and bowls are tasty, and there are many options to customize. I wished they would have more seasonal salad/bowl options. Prices are very expensive for salads/bowls. Also, no bread is offered. The service is ok. They run out of ingredients, and you will have to substitute. Frequently, they run back and forth between the back and front of the house for certain ingredients. One time, the trash cans were overflowing, and despite several employees and it not being busy at time, no one was removing the overflowing trash.

My recent visit to Sweetgreen was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped up to the counter, I was met with rudeness and incompetence from the staff. The red-haired woman serving me displayed a complete lack of professionalism. Not only did she fail to apologize for the brown lettuce in my salad, but when I requested a simple substitution, she refused, claiming that certain ingredients were reserved for mobile orders - a ridiculous policy that only served as an inconvenience for paying customers like myself. To add to my nightmare, the portions I received were laughably small, and to top it off, my salad was missing several ingredients listed on the menu. When I asked about the missing items, instead of offering an apology, the woman callously said, "get there earlier" as if it were my fault for expecting a complete meal. After paying, I was completely ignored as the staff member walked away without even handing me my salad or uttering a simple thank you. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at this Sweetgreen location, and I would strongly advise against anyone wasting their time and money here. Avoid at all costs.

I have tried to be patient with the service at this location, but tonight was the last straw. No one making salads, no one could find my order from 30 minutes ago, and then the person said that they weren't making orders until people arrive at the store because someone would steal them. Super surly, super slow, no acknowledgment or apology that my order hadn't even been started. Best part: this person is the manager. Good luck to them.

Visited for the weekend and decided to pickup SG on my way back to my Airbnb. I've never used the app but decided I should so I signed up. I never rate places but this experience was so bad and I was so bored waiting that I decided to review. In fact, this was the worst experience I've ever had at SG and possibly the worst experience ever picking up food. In-store customers were prioritized over pickup and I stood over 30 minutes watching about 20 customers get helped, 6 pickup orders get made that were not mine or any for the other people waiting for pickup either. I missed all three buses that left to go back to my Airbnb, forcing me to pay for an Uber since the next one wouldn't be here for 30min. It was brutal and painful to the point the pickup line people started to befriend one another about how bad it was and get aggressive about orders interrupting the staff while they were checking out others. When my order was handed to me, the employee looked at me with the worst expression and I forced a thank you out of kindness and he rudely turned around. Honestly don't blame him though because I watched him and his coworker who seemed to have some sort of physical disability struggle to meet the order demand as two other employees, one of which who looked like the manager, chat away in the back. I'd be pissed too...this location needs serious help. I obviously won't be back but be warned locals.

SweetGreen is a place I would visit during a special promotion, but would never pay full price for. The salads are delicious and ingredients are fresh, but there are definitely more affordable options for a quick, healthy, and filling meal. This SweetGreen is in a prime location, which means parking can be tough. So, if you're coming in at peak lunch time, prepare to walk!

The food is good, but overpriced. But more importantly, the customer service is generally pretty awful at the Evanston location. The people working there have no customer service skills whatsoever, are not friendly, and act like they don't want to be there. I understand that they are working, but it appears as though they've not had any customer service training at all. This I blame on the owner/manager, etc. Then upon paying, customers are expected to tip. The owner needs to train their employees to interact appropriately with customers.

We picked up salads from here and they were great! It was really easy to use the app and customize the salad. I had a crispy rice bowl salad with tofu and it was a big portion and delicious. It's not cheap but I feel like it's worth it for a fresh and quality salad.

It seems to me when I left a negative review and the owner responded apologetically that some offer of returning for a free meal would be included with his apology! It's the only way I would ever return and we could then see if anything improved.

Food was amazing BUT the service was horrible. There was a line of 4 customers with no staff up front. I could hear and see multiple people in the back. No one came to take our order until a manager (who was sitting in the dining area) got the staffs attention and told them to come take our order. The manager said "someone will be with you in a minute" and then sat back down on his laptop. While we were placing our order multiple staff members came out to the dining area to eat and take their break. It just seemed weird to me that multiple people would take a break at the same time and that the employees wouldn't prioritize the line of patrons.

My experience here was fantastic. Whitney and Jose were both extremely nice to me and gave me good portions on my food unlike other places I've been to that have skimped me out of food. Whitney was very kind and enthusiastic. I'll definitely be going back!

I had to wait a little while, there were no employees upfront or greeters, but once the guy came through, he was expedient and my cauliflower curry salad was absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu. The ingredients are locally sourced, and a lot of them are organic, this place is the great, healthy alternative. I've been waiting for, I just wish they had to drive through, that would complete the picture.

The service at this location is SO SLOW!! 25 min in line for something that is supposed to be fast casual. There were a total of 8 people waiting to be served. They also ran out of greens to make their salads during lunch hour. That's just poor management.

Ordered on the App for pick up, item not placed in a bag, and no utensils added... found that odd that I would do that when I walked in. I was not acknowledged when I walked in or left... also odd... So the food was okay. I ordered the peach salad with blackened chicken. I would say that they need to work on their portion sizes. The veggies on it were far too little for the amount of kale added, so it was off. Also I got maybe 4 small quarter sized chicken pieces... for a $15 meal, I expect a full serving of chicken. Got the cashew dressing and it was great, a but spicy but not too much. I would prob not come again, due to the portion sizes of the veggies and chicken; I definitely don't want to pay double for asking for a double portion of those, when the salad wasn't balanced to begin with. Super bummed, had high hopes for this.

The online ordering system allowed me to order my salad, but when I arrived there there was no salad and it was past the pickup time. I asked where my salad was and they said an ingredient wasn't available so they didn't even bother to make the salad without the ingredient and they wouldn't refund my card. I don't understand how the online ordering system wouldn't say they were out of that item, and then why they wouldn't even try to make the salad without the ingredient at the very least or give me a refund when they didn't. I've ordered from other Sweetgreen locations and I've never encountered such bad service.

One employee was so rude she rolled her eyes at all my friends when all we did was order. The restaurant was not even busy. She asked "what do you want? You're standing there so what you want from me?" when I said "excuse me" because I could not understand what she was saying since she wouldn't get any closer to me and stayed 10 ft behind the counter. I don't know why this lady was so miserable and am baffled who the hiring manager was who thought it was okay for someone genuinely so mean spirited to work there. I loved sweetgreen before, but I will never go again thanks to her

I genuinely don't believe I could dream up worse service than this sweetgreen if I tried. I'm genuinely impressed at how horrific consistently bad it is. Despite extremely long lines, they continually work only one person on the line, both making salads and checking people out. Almost every bowl they make requires them to walk to the back of the restaurant to grab something, and this is never done with any sense of urgency whatsoever. Meanwhile, you can still see multiple employees just prepping veggies. I simply don't understand why they can't stop prepping for like 20 minutes during the lunch rush and actually make people's food. For the price of this place the service is absolutely unacceptable. It never changes, either.

I have never been in a take out restaurant with worse service. There was a single person in front of me in line and it took 15 minutes for me to get my salad. They never have enough workers. They always run out of stuff. And when they run out of stuff, the only worker running the line will go back to refill instead of the person working in the kitchen?? And then why don't the workers make two salads at a time instead of one, it's incredibly idiotic and the worker/ lack any semblance of pace or care that the restaurant runs at a snails pace even when the place is empty. Completely ridiculous and I will not go here anymore because of the horrendous service.

I frequent this sweetgreen location both as a delivery driver for different platforms but also regularly as a customer as I enjoy a healthy option for lunch. But recently and this is long overdue there is one particular employee who is just horrid, is the only way I can put it. I truly hope this reaches upper management because she is extremely rude with the customers and most definitely the delivery drivers and seems to despise her job although I believe she herself is a manager which baffles me. I understand that you can get busy and flustered as this location can draw in a great crowd during the lunch times but COMMUNICATION and patience goes a longggg way. She should consider different work as customer service is not a strong suit to say the least.

This place never gets my order right. I order through the app which prints out a list of what should be added so they can build the bowl exactly as ordered. 6 out of the 8 times I've ordered my food has been incorrect with missing, added, or totally random ingredients. Customer service has been of no help. Such a bummer because when it's right, it's so delicious!!

I love the menu options, but this location really doesn't live up to standards. Recently it has looked really unkept and service is lacking, even when there are few customers. I went today for lunch and there was no rice available for the Harvest Bowl. Subbed quinoa which was fine, but got home and there was no goat cheese or almonds on the salad. Disappointing, and the salad was bland given the substitution and then missing ingredients.

Ordered the green goddess which was delicious! Added tofu which was a very generous portion. Veggies were crisp and fresh, as were the lettuces. Lentils and garbanzo cooked well and tasty. Serving size is a very large salad!! I ate it for both lunch and dinner. The only negatives were the spicy broccoli was mostly stems and they were out of cups for water. Service was friendly and they moved the line fairly quickly with just two servers behind the counter. Would definitely eat here again.

There are serious problems with just this location's staff and organization. Priority should go to those in line and guests should be attended to when they walk in. If you are 15 salads behind why are people mopping the floor? All other sweet greens have figured out a system except here. Pick up orders are 35-50 minutes behind consistently. So someone may spend their whole lunch or dinner break waiting for a salad. They take the fast out of fast casual and the poor service is hemorrhaging customers. This is also evident in the low rating on Yelp despite being only open a few months. The comments are consistently service service service. That's means management needs to retrain or let people go.

Honestly not really that great quality of food. The sweet potatoes and broccoli are mushy and disgusting. Noticed that a lot of employees don't seem to care about cross contamination and the place is usually a mess. I came back one more time to give them another chance but I was highly disappointed again. Don't eat here if you have severe allergies to any food.
