Sweetgreen Opens Its First Houston Location in Rice Village Next Week - Eater Houston

"After nearly a year of waiting, buzzy salad chain Sweetgreen will finally make its debut in Houston next week. The restaurant announced that it will open its doors on July 23 at 2551 Amherst Street in Rice Village, according to the Houston Business Journal. Look forward to tons of veggie-packed dishes like a “Shroomami” grain bowl with wild rice, kale, raw beets, portobello mushrooms, and roasted sesame tofu." - Amy McCarthy

Sweetgreen Will Open Its First Houston Location at Rice Village - Eater Houston

"A DC spot for healthy bowls and salads Sweetgreen will be joining the development, according to the Houston Business Journal. The chain operates locations on both the East and West Coasts and will bring to Texas a menu of salads, warm bowls, and seasonal dishes packed with veggies and fruits. Standout items include the curry chickpea bowl with roasted chicken, toasted almonds, quinoa, organic baby spinach, topped with a curry yogurt dressing, and a crab and watermelon dish with raw corn, shredded cabbage, and chopped romaine, which can be found on the seasonal DC menu. Fingers crossed it makes the move to Houston." - Alaena Hostetter

Try the new Caramelized Garlic Steam when you get a chance. While the portions are arguably less than a typical bowl, and price is slightly higher due to this owl containing steak and sweet potatoes, this bowl is a veritable masterpiece. All of the components work incredibly well together, and you should have peace of mind knowing you are consuming a very healthy meal. This spot is one of my go-it's because I'm frequently in the Village, and I love me some sweetgreen. The interior is often immaculate, and the staff friendly. Some tips: Since parking is limited or requires payment I would suggest ordering ahead and parking behind the planters in front with your hazards on. You can always modify your order, but one thing I like to do is add extra sauce or dressing (limit is two, and default is one). If you choose the "mix in" dressing option you will get better coverage over the bowl. Also, most bowls have the option to have bread on the side, but you have to ask for it. Try their sweet pass+ membership to get daily discounts to frequent in app challenges. Cheers!!

Today about 4:30 I went to sweetgreen and it was a very clean environment. Mr Walter was the only worker in line and assisted me. He was SO pleasant and nice and made sure he was patient with me and my salad bowl requests. He was kind and very professional making sure I got the adequate portions. He was attentive and also greeted me with a smile! He deserves something nice!

Sweetgreen provides an exceptional dining experience with fresh, high-quality ingredients that make each meal feel thoughtfully prepared. The array of greens, grains, and proteins are always fresh, and the dressings complement the dishes perfectly, allowing for a fully customizable experience. The portions are generous and satisfying, making it a great choice for those looking for a nutritious and flavorful meal. What truly stands out, though, is the excellent customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to guide you through the menu if you need suggestions. They create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. The cleanliness of the space is also impeccable – everything from the dining area to the service counter is spotless, which adds to the overall comfort of the meal. The only issue I encountered was the wait time, which seemed a bit longer than expected. It appears they may be slightly understaffed, particularly during busy hours. However, the quality of the food and the level of service make the extra wait worth it. With just a few more hands on deck, Sweetgreen could take their dining experience from great to perfect.

I arrived at 8:48 pm. The workers were looking odd when I walked in .. like they didn't want to be there any longer than they had to. I requested the ripple fries. With 12 minutes left before closing, surely I could get an order of fries. I was told the ripple fries take 20 minutes to prepare. I don't believe them! Don't worry though .. you lost my business.

Google
This was such a delightful meal! I’m on the road a lot for work and it’s so hard to find good, healthy food that is fast and affordable. I really enjoyed the meal. It was very healthy and tasted great! The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean and very appealing to be in!

Google
The young man serving at the store on Sunday is very courteous and very knowledgeable about the store offering. Food is decent, as good as a salad store can be. But the service member did made a great difference to my opinion of this store. He saw my fork slipped onto the ground, without me asking, he brought a new one to me, OUTSIDE the store!! That’s above and beyond!

Google
I ordered shroomami salad with salmon through the doordash. And they sent me without the salmon, so I called to doordash to redeliever. After that they sent me new salad bowl but I found the little plastic string. Discusting!! I lose my appetite!! I will never ever order from this store again!!!!

Google
I had the Miso Glazed Salmon to-go. The bowl tasted OK and the ingredients seemed health-conscious but it was so pricy! The bowl cost $16+ and the advertised pictures show the bowl being filled almost up to the rim. The bowl I received had a sprinkling of ingredients and the salmon is half the size of the pictured portion in addition to being dry.

Yelp
I am probably the hardest person on this planet to please when it comes to non-standard meals in America. I got the hot honey chicken and that is one of the best meals I have ever had here in Houston. Consider this my Michelin star.

Yelp
I absolutely adore sweetgreen... I love the quality, the taste, the combinations. HOWEVER, I place online orders to pick up frequently for time purposes and I always end up waiting for about 30 minutes. Which is INSANE. It's hardly busy when I come too so I genuinely do not understand why it takes so long to make my order. I will receive the notification on the app that's it's ready and it never is. I always have to wait an insane amount of time. I think I'll start making the drive to a different location or start coming less. Super disappointed by this - it's so frustrating when I specially order ahead of time to be quick.

Yelp
Each visit to this place feels like a unique experience, primarily influenced by the individuals on staff. Some staff members possess captivating and vibrant personalities, creating a welcoming and vital customer atmosphere. Conversely, interactions with other employees can feel obligatory and tense, leaving you eager to place your order and quickly RUN. Securing a parking spot in Houston is always a challenge, but surprisingly, I've consistently found a spot right in front of the restaurant. The consistently superb quality of the salads has kept me returning every few weeks since my first Yelp event here last year. The crispy rice salad, in particular, has become an essential addition to my list of favorites, with its exquisite blend of savory, fresh, crunchy, acidic, and sweet flavors. What's more, this delightful dish is completely dairy-free! The consistently moist chicken, paired with the exceptional cilantro dressing, is a compelling reason to keep returning for more. Having sampled various salad establishments, Sweetgreen has undoubtedly risen to the top, surpassing both Salata and Salad and Go as my favored salad spot.

Yelp
I was a Sweetgreen enthusiast and was even a Sweetgreen ambassador and secret shopper. But after today's interaction with a the Rice Village location and a person who identified himself as a manager named "Tony" I will NEVER patronize a Sweetgreen location again. I ordered an online order and it was not ready on time. When it was ready they threw it on the shelf in a crumpled bag. When I got to my car, it was missing the steak and I went back in and asked for a manager. "Tony" went and put steak on the salad but then instead of apologizing, he told me they didn't put steak on my salad because they didn't have steak. However, they quite literally did. My order was also missing the bread. So I had a steak bowl that had no steak, didn't have the bread that I added, and then a rude manager who proceeded to try to make a bunch of excuses rather than simply apologize. He went on and on blaming me. I told him I didn't want to argue and I only patronize places with good service and he said I think I'm better than people. It was an insane interaction, literally the worst experience I have ever had at ANY restaurant. I went to my car and got the rest of my order (a crispy bar) and went on the app to initiate a refund request. Tony continued to talk smack to and say he never said they didn't have steak when he literally did say that. He kept talking smack to me until I asked him to please leave me alone as I had no wish to interact with him further. I recorded the interaction and will be sending it in to corporate. That man is jealous of customers and doesn't need to be anywhere providing a service to the public. Worse, this was a Sunday and the customer service is bots until they are open again during regular business hours. There are many places to get a nice salad, better yet just make one at home. Stay away from Sweetgreen.

Yelp
After passing by the outdoor ad for their new steak, my daughter and I decided to give this a try as our first time. We walked in around 630-645pm and were never greeted for longer than a minute until I had to ask one of staff how the ordering process worked. She seemed pretty clueless but was pleasant. We ordered the new caramelized steak bowl and a miso glaze salmon bowl. Both were pretty awful - not even warm and both proteins were overcooked and dry. The ad for the steak outside is incredibly deceptive because the steak was cooked to very well done (when I was told it was medium) and cut in cubes. The portion size and appearance of the bowl absolutely did not resemble the bowl ad on this site. The best part of the whole meal were the 2 dressings I asked for (green goddess and a vinaigrette). For $32+ for 2 bowls, I could get better at a restaurant.

Yelp
Sweetgreen, yes indeed! The Hubs and I came here Sunday for dinner and it didn't disappoint. Well it was disappointing that they sold out of Ollipop soda. Nevertheless we both enjoyed making our bowls, which were very colorful. I had steak and he got chicken. Next time I will ask not to mix it together.

Yelp
My wife and I tried sweetgreen in Rice Village for the first time. I gotta say it wasn't bad! Not a salad person, but I have decided to be more conscious of what I am eating as I am getting older. Sweetgreen felt like a salad bar of chipotle. I didn't know how to order custom so We each ordered chicken pesto parm and chicken avocado ranch. I loved the chicken pesto parm. It comes with pesto sauce and the chili sauce, but chili sauce is very spicy so be careful not to put too much. I asked the sauces on the side. The inside was very clean and modern, but there aren't many places to sit. I am definitely coming back to try other menus!

Yelp
If I could give them 0 I would. During my visit there . There was a homeless lady who just wanted a free water cup and they refused to get it for her or give her one. When I asked for it they gave it to me no issues. When I offered to get something for her I told her "hey just wait ima buy it for you" and the owner/manager made her wait outside. I thought it was complete bullshit since I said I was going to buy a meal for her so at that point she's my guest and considered a paying customer. Never will go back again bc of their treatment of someone down on their luck. The lady wasn't even bothering anyone it was hot outside she just wanted a free cup of water. Be human! Water cups are free for a reason.

Yelp
Came in for lunch and purchased 2 bowls. Seems like a chipotle style place for a health conscious option. Server who helped me was good and professional although I could see him having to cover for work other people weren't doing. The food was ok and a bit pricier given what it is. Did not eat in the store but seemed fairly spacious with good lighting. Likely would not come regularly but if you have the money to spare not a bad option to be a bit more health conscious.

Yelp
Omgggg sweet greeen!!!!! I think we have a new contender in the health salads arena and it's blowing cava and salata out the water! First I love that you can make your own salad or pick from the already curated menu. Plus the menu tells You what's popular. I picked the crispy rice bowl and as you see from the picture it was too delicious to stop and take a picture. You salad comes with free sourdough bread. What I really love is they ask you how much dressing you want on the salad. Light, medium, or heavy! I was in and out . There's plenty of seating inside but also outside
google avatar

Yelp
I can't lie I love Sweetgreen and will spend $15 on a salad!!!!! Their ingredients are definitely fresh and all the options they serve are healthy and sufficiently filling. I like to order and schedule for pick-up since the app allows for easy modification of the salads/bowls. My favorites include the Shroomami and the Harvest Bowl. They also offer limited edition/special salads and bowls that are so yummy to choose from. My favorite recently has been the Chipotle Chicken bowl! It is definitely an even healthier alternative to Chipotle and I might even like it more than Chipotle burrito bowls n I can't believe i'm saying that Their miso ginger vinaigrette is to die for - I always ask for more on the side to take home when I try to replicate their salads... Though their vegetarian protein choices are delectable, the blackened chicken is also quite good! the free side of sourdough bread also always makes me :)
google avatar

Kinjal S.

Yelp
If this sweet green never wants repeat customers, they surely met their goal. The music was so loud I couldn't hear the last behind the counter who seemed annoyed being there.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Fantastic food and friendly customer service that goes above and beyond. I highly recommend the Harvest Bowl as recommended by Eric (the manager). New favorite restaurant when visiting Rice Village.

Yelp
As a health-conscious individual, I was excited to try Sweetgreen for their reputation of providing delicious, high-quality salads. While the food lived up to its promise, I was left disappointed by the lackluster customer service that put a damper on my overall experience. Upon entering the restaurant, I was instantly impressed by the clean, modern design and the abundance of fresh ingredients on display. The menu offered a tantalizing array of options, and I was eager to create my perfect salad. However, my enthusiasm waned as I encountered the staff. The employees seemed disinterested and aloof, barely acknowledging my presence when I approached the counter. As I attempted to customize my salad, the staff member appeared impatient and inattentive, hastily assembling my order without much care. This indifference persisted throughout the entire ordering process, leaving me feeling more like an inconvenience than a valued customer. Fortunately, the salad itself was nothing short of fantastic. The ingredients were fresh, crisp, and flavorful, with a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. The quality and deliciousness of the salad could not be faulted, but it was bittersweet to enjoy such an exceptional meal under the cloud of poor customer service. In conclusion, while the food at Sweetgreen truly delivers on taste and quality, the subpar customer service significantly marred my experience. If the restaurant can address this issue and ensure that their staff exude the same level of excellence as their menu, they have the potential to be a true standout in the world of healthy dining. Until then, however, I'm left with mixed feelings about returning.

Yelp
This is the first and only Sweetgreen I've been to. Since the first time I tried their limited time brussel sprout chicken salad, I've been hooked. We order from here multiple times a week for any meal and usually the to-go orders come with the perfect amount of dressing. Riley is our favorite staff member at this location--he guided me through my first time ordering in-person and told us about the to-go option. All the other staff members are great too, we just haven't gotten to know them as well as Riley. He always makes my salad perfectly with the right amount of dressing and ingredients in ratio to the kale in my preferred Harvest Salad.

Eric C.

Yelp
Just because someone is homeless and not dressed all pretty, doesn't mean that they shouldn't be allowed to dine in. Even if someone is paying for their meal, they should still have the right to sit down and eat there. This place should be shut down. Canceled as today's youth says.

jessica m.

Yelp
I want to love it but wrong orders and double charging are a problem. Plus they have no customer service. There is only a bot or an unattended text line. So I am sitting here with the wrong item and a double charge and I guess I have to contest this with my credit card? Eating in is fine but I would caution against getting any delivery from sweet green. I sure won't do it again. (That said they don't appear to care)

C K.

Yelp
Steak looks beautiful in the ads, but on my salad, it looked microwaved or maybe boiled. Not a fan of the bait and switch. Also, these salads are expensive for what they are.
google avatar

Hayden S.

Yelp
I just LOVE sweetgreen. I honestly think I could eat it most days of the week and not tire of it. I like to mix it up and often don't order the same thing on back to back visits and I am never disappointed with the bowl or salad I choose. Their ingredients are always super fresh and the portion size is adequately filling, especially if you add on their STINKING DELICIOUS rosemary focaccia. For such a quick meal, I am routinely pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this little place is! And you really can't beat sitting outside their shop on a nice day eating your salad - mmm!

Trish N.

Yelp
My now new go to for lunch!! First time trying this place and it did not disappoint!! I had the salmon bowl and the sauces are freshly home made. It was delicious!!

Julia K.

Yelp
Found a bug and a hair in the same salad after having to correct my order twice. Instead of giving me a new bowl they scraped the food out with their hand, and again, got it wrong twice.
google avatar

Mahwish S.

Yelp
I am coming to love grain bowls! I tried this spot for the first time and I love that they use fresh produce for their ingredients. You can see they cut them fresh everyday. I tried their crispy blackened chicken bowl with quinoa instead of wild rice. What I don't like is that every topping outside of what it comes with the bowl is an extra charge. Other places let you put whatever toppings you want for the most part without paying extra. The portion of protein is small. I had so many tiny shreds of chicken in the scoop she put in my bowl. I asked for two more little pieces (not even a full scoop extra) and she said extra charge . The bowl comes with a piece of bread but it's Extra for a different type of bread that was right next to it. It really limits you on your choices or you'll wind up paying $20 for a bowl. Flavors are good but I'll go back to my usual spot that's not frugal.
google avatar

Josiah G.

Yelp
First time visiting the line moved quickly. I ordered the chicken with Brussels salad. Didn't care for the maple vinegrette. Moose Out
google avatar

Jasmine J.

Yelp
Sweetgreen is my favorite salad to-go place on Earth, seriously. The harvest bowl is literal perfection. The blend of salad base (I substitute the kale for spinach) with the honey roasted or blackened chicken with sweet potatoes, apples, pecans, and goat cheese with balsamic vinaigrette is UGH *chef's kisses*. Most importantly they get you in and out in no time.

Ellen B.

Yelp
The adult food is good, but won't order for the kids again. We ordered the mini mezze, but The chips were packaged mixed in with cucumbers and chicken so they were soggy, also looks like the crumbs from the bottom of a chip bag.
google avatar

Hong T.

Yelp
I ordered delivery and got the harvest bowl and buffalo cauliflower. The harvest bowl was really good and everything I wanted it to be. It was very filling and left me feeling satisfied. I probably wouldn't order the cauliflower again.. I prefer my buffalo cauliflower battered, just personal preference though.

Yelp
Bought some Windex, and I said, damn, what a SWEETCLEAN Went to 6th Street Austin, I said, what a SWEETSCENE Barbi is my goddess, never sour, she'a s a SWEETQUEEN 19 YO just hit on her, she said what a SWEET-TEEN I had a Jelly Belly, I said damn what a SWEETBEAN Barbi got into Dartmouth, she said what a SWEETDEAN Then I took my pants off and she said what a SWEETPEEN Then we came to get a salad right here at SWEETGREEN WHAT There's nothing Sweet about Sweetgreen, and all of the salad afficionados that I know, are in a-Green-ment. Much better service than the one on Westheimer, almost every time I've been here. They have some great staff members and are more in line with what I'm sure corporate would want from their servers and their treatment of salad-procuring guests. I had Sweetgreen on many occasions when I was on the east coast (Boston, NY, DC and so on), and was never really impressed, although the one in Cambridge by Harvard is my preferred location, by far, and always packed. Sometimes the salad was awful. Sometimes it was pretty good but it might have just been because I was starving. Overall I've never been the biggest fan but I gave it a good solid chance, and now that it's finally come to Houston, I've tried both locations (Montrose and Rice Village) on a number of occasions, and this one pees on the other one, from a great height, and it splashes a lot too. The salad itself tastes pretty good. They seem to have decent ingredients and although it definitely has a hipster flavour, I kind of like it. I don't love it but I kind of like it and it mixes things up from my usual Salata, which gives portions twice the size or greater, with unlimited options, for the same price. The problem is that it's basically the same price as Salata and yet can be literally one quarter of the size, one third at best, if Salata is stingy. But anything's better than the nasty attitudes of the employees over at Westheimer, causing this one to get 2 full stars higher in the rating department, due to actually being friendly, and Houston not having that many non-Salata options for salad that are actually good. But, if it's within say 45 min of closing, expect them to be out of some things sometimes. 4 stars for the salads, should lose a star for portion sizes, but such a refreshing change to the nasty treatment at the other location, that I'll stick with 4. So it's not the best salad I've seen And some of the servers are quite mean But if you want some kale Then come here, without fail And you'll get healthy sh** at Sweetgreen More like Sourgreen.

Jane D.

Yelp
We love how Sweetgreen has different protein bowls and are committed to healthy food options at a reasonable price. We love how they do not use any seed oils. The food tastes healthy and fresh. Thank you for caring about your ingredients! It's a great place to grab lunch or dinner to go.
google avatar

Yelp
I came with friend around 11:30 on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy! I ordered the original Harvest Bowl with medium dressing, without goat cheese and my friend ordered the seasonal Rustic Harvest Bowl with medium dressing, substituted kale for romaine lettuce. We both thought that the medium dressing of the balsamic Vinegrette was too much, and would recommend getting it with light dressing! It was filling but a little pricey. Personally, the balsamic vinegrette was too sour and I would try substituting the dressing with their Spicy Cashew(?) dressing next time. the parking garage is free for 2 hours and there was ample parking. The staff were all wearing masks and very friendly!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
I love sweetgreen in general - have been to many locations and a strong believer that their harvest bowl is to die for. This sweetgreen is just about the same as the other places you'll go. Parking right in front is paid, but there's a parking garage right by that's free for the first 2 hours. It does seem that through the years, sweetgreen has been skimping on food while increasing price, which doesn't feel great, but I'll still be coming here for the harvest bowl!

Karla q.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to order lunch from Fresh ingredients, delicious dressings!
google avatar

Yelp
Late lunch on a Saturday- not too busy so didn't have to wait long. You can make your own salad/bowl or get one off the menu. I chose the chicken pesto parm warm bowl. It has spinach, quinoa, chicken, pesto vinaigrette, and hot sauce with Parmesan shavings and other things. All the sauces can be light, medium, heavy, or on the side. They ask if you'd like everything mixed together. I really liked the size of the bowl and I was quite full after, plus you get a free slice of bread with your bowl. Staff is friendly. Parking available in the Rice Village parking garage or street if you are lucky. My bowl was about $13-$14 which is typical for all of their salads and bowls. I would come again for a fast lunch option!

Troy B.

Yelp
I love sweet greens. I visited three different locations around Houston and my salads were consistently good. I recommend Sweet greens to anyone who is looking to try something different.

Amy N.

Yelp
This location is terrible, and unfortunately, the service matches. Not only did they forget my chicken entirely, but half of my plate was empty upon arrival. To make matters worse, the rice was served cold. Save your money and choose any other dining spot in the area--I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Katey G.

Yelp
I've been eating Sweetgreen in NYC for years, and this place does the trick. For all y'all Houston newbies, the Harvest Bowl is where it's at. The NY version has almonds, while your Texas version has pecans. The same exact taste at the Sweetgreens in NYC, way shorter wait, slightly nicer service, and indoor + outdoor seating. It's nice to see Sweetgreen delivering quality on a national level!
google avatar

Christina V.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place for fresh and filling healthy food, Sweetgreen is the one. You can make your own bowl or salad, or you can pick a seasonal offering or order off the menu. They have delicious offerings such as warm grain bowls protein, quinoa, mushrooms, kale, etc and a wide variety or dressings. You know it's fresh because you see the staff chopping up veggies. Some memorable items: The blackened chicken is amazing!! Also, I love the sesame ginger dressing. You can order on the app and pick it up if that suits you better too! Their patio is dog friendly - always a plus in our books! This location is in Rice Village, so parking can be a little stressful. But there are metered parking spots on the street, or the parking garage has free parking for up to 2 hours, I believe. All in all, this place is amazing and delicious and all I wish is that there was a location closer to my work and home!

Yelp
This place is so cute! From the decor and Togo space to the transparent placement of the produce - I loved it! We actually ordered to go with the intent of eating at home but decided to stay. The food was BAMB too, you never know when eating healthy if the flavors will be bland or tasty & lemme tell yall, these bowls were TASTY. I got the umamishroom bowl thing - tofu and mushroom rice bowl - I added sweet potatoes - the flavors in this was insane! I LOVE mushrooms & the ones I'm the bowl were so yummy, the tofu was good as well. The miso dressing was light and refreshing but still tasty . I had some of my hubby's green goddess salad that he also altered a bit. We were both extremely satisfied with our meals as well as the side we ordered - the sweet potatoes with cashew pesto - the pesto was SO GOOD, I even joked around and told them hubs we need to buy some to keep in the fridge. Before we left the hubs pointed out their hibiscus clover tea, as he thought i might like it so we bought one before we left. The tea was really good to me! I know some people expect / like sweet teas - if so, this is not for you but those who appreciate tea for what they are without the extra added sweetener, you'd like this! Overall, hubs and I both LOVED this place and were highly pleased especially it being a healthier eating out option. We will be back forsure & probably often

Yelp
Crispy rice bowl with the spicy walnut dressing is where it's at! Eating healthy would be so much easier if I could have Sweetgreen every day.

Very nice place with a bright, healthy vibe. The staff were very helpful with it being my first time there.

Yelp
Sweetgreen is in the rice village shopping center complex next to plenty of other food and drink spots, such as Shake Shack, Prego, Susie Cakes, Steele City Pops, and Starbucks. I chose to try this spot one night when I had to go to an event later on in the evening. I didn't want anything too heavy, so this place was perfect. This reminds me of a Chipotle, but with salad. They have a menu on their board for you to choose from cold salads to warm bowls. But, you can also create your own salad. It was my first time here, so I asked the staff what their most popular items were. I finally settled on the Chicken Tostada warm bowl. Boy oh boy, was it good. I loved the warm spinach, quinoa, feta, tortilla chips, cilantro, and their lime cilantro jalapeño dressing. I got extra dressing on the side, and I drenched all of that into my bowl. Yum. It was quite pricey, but very satisfying and filling. If you want lighter fare, I would stick with ordering the cold salads. Here's to a healthier lunch/dinner option. This'll give you a reason to grab a sweet treat afterwards for being so good. Come check them out.

Yelp
This place is pretty good, but I don't think it's worth the price. I got the hummus tahina salad with Brussels sprouts in it. The salad overall was very good but I got just the smallest little spoon of hummus (maybe 1.5-2 tbsp?) - which is kind of comical considering the salad is called HUMMUS tahina salad. My friends enjoyed theirs as well, they got the superfood bowl and the harvest bowls, but customized the ingredients so much they were practically unrecognizable (not to mention much more expensive) by the time they checked out. I think I'm going to stick to central market for my specialty salads, where you can get twice the amount for nearly half the price.

Yelp
Beautiful establishments, fast & friendly service! You can tell employees enjoy working here, it shows in how they treat their customers. My favorite menu item is their kale cedar salad, the ingredients are fresh & you can rely on Sweetgreen to take the guesswork out of eating healthy!

Yelp
Just walked in and walked out after not being greeted or served after ten minutes. I was waiting to be served while looking at the menu and no one said anything to me. Then a guy walked in behind me and they took his order immediately not even acknowledging my presence. I again patiently waited as multiple workers continued to stock the salad bar. After a few more minutes, I left. I will no longer be coming to this location.

Yelp
Tried the hot honey chicken plate and it was so delicious! The mustard sauce complimented everything so well, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Sweetgreen is a but pricey, but I think it's worth since I was full after my meal and didn't feel gross and heavy. You can choose from their selection of warm plates, salads, or you can customize your own bowl. I'll definitely come back to try their other selections!

Yelp
We came to order takeout on a Sunday afternoon, and the online ordering and in store pick up situation was very simple and easy. We luckily found parking right in front and the place was very aesthetic. I was sad to not see Valkyrae's custom salad available to order at this location, but I ordered my own custom salad with the same ingredients. It was really delicious as it is healthy, and my bf really loved his chicken tostada bowl as well. The blackened chicken for my salad was so flavorful and delicious. We would definitely come back when we are craving some healthy foods in the area.

Yelp
The Rice Village location provides a wonderful environment to come grab a delicious salad and shop. My partner and friends visited and got the Shroomami, Crispy Rice Bowl, and Super Green Goddess. No complaints from anyone, simply delicious. Thanks for the great service and food. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
This sweetgreen location is by far my favorite location in Houston. The customers service is by far the best I've ever experienced and they are so nice, helpful, and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this location. Also, the rosemary focaccia is absolutely to die for. If you're looking for a great salad and a great experience, definitely visit this sweetgreen!
