Sweetgreen has amazing vegan salads. It’s a chain so I wasn’t expecting anything really different here but the location is actually super cute! There’s tables outside where you can enjoy a pleasant evening and we went in for dinner and it wasn’t too crowded I was a little disappointed that although I paid extra for sweet potato and watermelon in my order- I felt like they skimped on it and added very little. What you see in the photo is all there is, no more sweet potato under that layer :( Also not pictured here: the hibiscus tea. So so good! Heartily recommend getting a bottle. I also love that they do glass bottles so you can feel better about recycling :)

I got their chicken pesto bowel. It was really good. I added on the avocado and adeed extra broccoli. But it really didn't look like there was any extra broccoli in it, there wasn't much. I had this delivered and there were no issues there. I would order again, just won't add any additional toppings.

Soooo…I just got home and I was super excited to eat my chicken pesto parm! (I have been craving it for like a month now lol)open it up, get ready to toss it and I open up the lid to the small to-go dressing cup and I am met with the worst pesto that I have ever gotten form a sweetgreen. And I know how it should look like since I used to work there a long time ago. It wasn’t emulsified, it was chunk with huge pieces of herbs, it was oily, and it want the pesto that I used to know and love and the pesto I used to make myself. It wasn’t fresh either,m and you could see the brown hue coming from when herbs start getting old. Idk who who you guys have making the dressing but somebody needs to watch over them so they can do it properly. Follow the recipe and you’ll be fine. I love sweetgreen, truly and honestly I love it! It is one of the best salad places in la, for me personally, but it is sad that I have to pay $16$-idk how much $! for bad dressing that has no flavor and chunks of herbs that warmed like they were just chopped up and whisked in with oil. The salad was fine and the ingredients were on point but, the pesto just killed it for me. There was no love whatsoever or effort put into it and it sucks I spent my hard earned money on something like this.

Always a great experience coming here, but Merrick really goes above and beyond for each and every customer. I have to give him a shout out! Always remembers my name, order, and even previous conversations we shared. The food is always good, but great service creates such an experience that will bring people back. In a competitive market, with lots of neighboring competition, community equals currency. Create raving fans and your brand will be untouchable. Kudos to Merrick and Team for believing in the brand and vision.

Worst Sweet green location I have been to. I think they put 50% of the usual order.

Food is great…when it’s right. When ordered, wrong and missing items literally half the time. No way to call the location and chat feature on the app never goes beyond the bot connect to actual person.

Just Plain BAD Bought the "Peach+Feta" salad off the menu. Only one staff making up salads. We had to wait a LONG time for two customers to be served in front of us. The prep area was a offensive looking mess. Salad was strewn all over the counter, along with splatter from the cooked ingredients. No one had bothered cleaning up. The staff member who made up our order kep upselling -- want any add-ons? how about this, how about that? Helpful in a way, but you never know if that is included in the menu price, if it is extra and if so, how much each one costs. That is, until you hit the register -- then, pow!! Though pleasant and polite, staff is indifferent to real customer service. Yes I wanted a receipt but staff ran off, assuring me it would print out in a moment. Of course it never did. And no one was there to help. Worst service, worst cleanliness standards. And the food was bland. Most of my salad was supposed to be argula, but in fact it was kale - yuck. The result bore no resemblance to the mnu photo. Ingredients were diced into tiny pieces, reducing their cost but also eliminating mouth feel and flavor for the customer. Onlly good thing was the bread slice. ;-) If you are jonesing for a good salad, try Gelsons or Trader Joes. Anywhere else is better than this.

Honestly pretty disappointed with my experience. I ordered a kale Caesar salad and was given what felt like a kid-sized portion. The person making my bowl barely said a word, rushed through the whole thing, and skipped a bunch of ingredients that are supposed to come with it. To butcher such a simple bowl is crazy to me. She didn't ask if I wanted bread (which I thought was standard), and when I asked for it, she looked at me like I was asking for something weird. The whole interaction just felt rushed and kind of dismissive.

Sweetgreen is always solid & worth the price for the quality. Writing a review and nicked a star because this location is skimpy with their portions. Ordered pickup and delivery both times was a half filled plate. Still hungry after, not great for $20.

The workers at this location are so sweet! I came in 30 minutes before closing and even though they were out of salmon for the night, Luis made me a piece anyways. I appreciate the kindness especially after they had started their cleaning process. Thank you!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I wish I could give negative stars for how many terrible experiences I've had here. They've "forgotten" to put protein in my salads more than 3 different times. Today, I went back because I had a $15 credit issued to me because of the last order they messed up on, and they messed up AGAIN! I went back to tell the staff they forgot to add the spicy broccoli I paid for, and they weren't even apologetic. That was my final time going to sweetgreen. So disappointing

"What could improve?" Let's start with the cockroach that was in my salad alive and crawling around. Utterly disgusting. Never stepping foot in one of your establishments again. It's even a smaller type of roach which is commonly the sign of an infestation (larger roaches are solo beings)

I can't believe it took me this long to try Sweetgreen, but if I could eat a salad like this every day for lunch, I would! I customized my bowl with wild rice, mixed greens, arugula, sweet potato, pickled onions, blackened chicken, parmesan crisps, and the green goddess sauce. I love how they mix everything up for you to ensure you have flavor in each bite! Portions are big and I had leftovers for dinner. Expect to pay $15-$20 for your bowl, which sounds like a lot, but honestly a lot of fast food chains now are getting pricey but this place serves really fresh and nutritious ingredients.

EXPENSIVE SALADS - REAL GOOD THO! THE FOOD $15-$20 salads. Super tasty and BIG portions! Was definitely full :) Very fresh and yummy ingredients and dressings! THE SERVICE Fast and friendly. Walk-up service and ordering just like Chipotle / Subway. AMBIANCE Hard seating. Sit down, eat, depart. COST CONSIDERATIONS Likely won't be coming back unless in extremis due to price. You can buy ingredients for 10+ salads for the cost here. Really great/healthy food when you're traveling tho!!!

I come here all the time ! Today I was in line literally the next person to be serviced a gentleman walks in before me and they attempted to take his order before I politely said "excuse me but I was actually next" he tried to ague. Instead of apologizing to me, they apologized to the gentleman. I will no longer be returning here. Because how rude !

Pretty crazy that at 12:30 they are out of roasted chicken? It's lunch time! Plan for it!! All these people in line and the to go ate waiting to get their food and delayed b/c no roasted chicken!!!

This is the portion size for an $18 bowl now. Sauce cups take up a quarter of the space. Third pic for advertised photo comparison I know this is corporate portion control but at least Chipotle didn't change their bowl size. Highway robbery, never going to any sweetgreen again

Good is good . Salad are great! But there new fries I will pass . They were not what I expected. Not tasty and look weird. Service was good and place was clean

We often debate between SG and Mendocino for salad, which is right next door. Personally I like Mendo as it gives you a bit more fulfilling portion with more ingredient varieties and richer flavors. This time I ordered Shroomami from SG which is great. The flavor is a bit plain for my taste but not a bad option overall.

If you love kale then you will love sweetgreen. This location, at the Marina del Rey Village Mall is relatively small compared to other locations in the South Bay area. But, size of the establishment does not make for a good or not so good place to dine right? So here's what you need to know 1. You can order off their limited menu or 2. You can create and build your own salad. To do so, you will a- p\Pick your green (kale, spinach, romaine or mix it up) b. Select your add ons (there are at least a dozen to choose from) c. Pick your protein (or not) d. Select your dressing (there are at least 8 dressings) It comes with a slice of bread or you can add their bread of the day, which was french roll when I dined. You can pick your beverage which are bottled and it is Sweet Green labels. there are no fountain drinks Second to the last; pay for your meal Last, enjoy your meal! Parking iffy at this location unless you have the patience to drive around the lot as others leave. Exterior patio seating seating available also. Some seats are part of sweetgreen and other seats are exterior patio seating provided by the Mall. Pricey but good (2 of us $ 40)

So I took a chance and Finally tried this place today. I thought it might be similar to this European fast casual healthy food spot called Honest Greens. Boy wasn't wrong. I ordered the guacamole greens and added cucumber as well as the ranch chicken rice kids meal . While the guacamole greens was edible what offended me was the tortilla chips that come with it . Honestly if you come here and try this, please ask to remove them. Not because it makes the dish slightly less healthy, but just the quality of the tortilla chips is extremely offensive. Think unsalted, stale, fritos or worse the stale unsalted generic nacho tortilla chips that come in a bag at some random sport stadium crushed up and added to your $15 salad . I mean what were they thinking? Like why would someone want to pay $15 for a salad and then have that as an accompaniment. It really cheapens the dish and entire experience. You could easily go to El Pollo Loco and get the double Pollo tostada bowl and have the same exact experience for half the price .. actually scratch that you would have a better experience for half the price as the quality of everything. besides, the lettuce in the tostada salad bowl is superior than what I ate for lunch if that tells you something . Overall giving it a 3/5 . The vignette and quality of the greens was a 5 but the tortilla chips are a 1. As for the chicken ranch rice kids meal ...it was the most disjointed dish I ever ate. I don't understand .The flavors really just don't work together.. if I had a kid, I definitely would not feed this to them if I was trying to convince them that healthy food can taste good. If I'm honest serving this dish would be a fitting punishment to them . Honestly, if I did have a kid and fed them this, I think they would question my love for them and they would be right to question it based on feeding them this . 2/5 Overall I wouldn't spend any more money trying food here however, if someone offered to buy me a salad here I'd eat it ( with modifications) . Give this place a try and tell me what you think. I'm pretty sure some people love it but for the price they haven't convinced me .

The salads and bowls here are great! Service is so friendly and welcoming. Everything is fresh and can be customized to your liking. They have a variety of salad dressings which I really enjoy as well. I suggest getting their app and pre-ordering if you're in a hurry. Perfect light lunch or dinner option in the area!

Rice was undercooked and the fish was dry as well. I will probably never go back to this location as the food was really not as fresh as I thought it would be. The portion was so small. Like so so small. Horrible $20 not worth it!!

The portion for my steak plate was way smaller than it was when I've ordered from the Brentwood and Santa Monica location. The ambiance was nice though and the pickup was quick. Would not recommend going to this specific location.

This is absolutely the worst Sweet Green that I have ever visited in the entire country. It seems as if every time I go to this location, the workers have a horrible attitude. I've previously worked in the food industry for 6 years and have never seen such atrocious customer service. It's unfortunate that I can no longer visit this place since I live so close but they continue to give me the worst attitude. The man that served us gave both my boyfriend and an attitude after a rough day. Seems like he was trying to belittle by boyfriend. Unacceptable behavior!!!! I also heard him talking smack about us in the back to his co-workers. Sweet Green - how are you training your workers??? This is unacceptable. Do better.

My God! I don't know how to start this my I will never eat sweet green ever again! I went to Marina del Rey store and ordered the Salmon salad. The price is outrageous... they charged me: $18,00 plus tax on a piece of salmon that was the size of a finger .... It was served cold with some old looking greens that had no taste... the salmon looked old and I was just wondering... how can anyone pay for this horrible food and feel good about it ? This sweet greens are bitter greens and don't understand how can this store keep going ... People should love their money and understand that a simple salmon salad and a drink shouldn't cost a fortune!!! I was unable to eat and lost over $24,99 in a horrible meal! Will never go back to bitter sweetgreen....

I tried the Crispy Rice Bowl here today and OMG it was honestly the best salad I've ever had in my life! All of the elements came together perfectly. Ariel was so bubbly and kind and she made my salad with love and sophistication. I enjoyed my brief interaction with her she was so pleasant and cutesy. I'll definitely be coming back here daily for Lunch! The restaurant was also very clean and fully stocked.

Most times after a long flight , I either grab a salad or a bowl from Sweet Greens. My go-to is the Kale Caesar Salad with avocado and spicy broccoli add-ons. Super refreshing and great way to kickstart the week with some healthy greens. The Harvest Bowl is another fave. The service is friendly and you're able to watch them make your dish. There's an indoor and outdoor patio option that's not usually crowded since most people get their salads as takeaways. The place is super casual.

Shoutout to Kash whose customer service is always exceptional, he's so patient when making my elaborate salad bowl and makes sure to make it just the way I like it... absolutely never disappoints!! I come to this location quite frequently and quite honestly always hope he's working because I know I will be satisfied with my bowl :) PS. Can we bring back the warm roasted chicken and the cauliflower rice (I know the cauli rice has been gone for quite some time but I always hoped it would be brought back) thanks

I went to the website following the instructions and ended up talking to a machine who just collected basic information and following I waited for 20 min and they hanged up the phone and nothing else happen.

Nice healthy choice when shopping in the Marina Del Ray plaza. I'm not sure I'd go out if my way to dine here, because of the insane weekend traffic to this shopping mall and parking sitch , but if you are in the area it's the best (and healthiest) spot. We got the Guacamole Greens (my wife's favorite) and I got the chicken and Brussels, which is a seasonal item. Super fresh ingredients, made to order to your liking, and even with the amount of dressing you like. Topline: get the guac greens, there is a reason it's a favorite. Packed with flavor and really yummy. The chicken and Brussels are basically what is advertised, so I can't complain, but didn't wow me. Either way it was an enjoyable, and fast, experience.

Confused on some of the bad reviews. I've always had a good experience and staff is always friendly and I eat here a lot at all different hours. Way better than chipotle next door where they are always so angry. 5 star sweetgreen mdr

Such a perfect place for a healthy choice of food! If you've never been here this place reminds me of a set up that's similar to chipotle. You start at one end and make your bowl. They also have set bowl options that are already put together. You can't go wrong either way! I've only been here twice now and I've gotten the same bowl each time. I order the "Harvest Bowl." Great option, comes with fresh roasted chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese (I think this makes the entire salad!), roasted almonds, warm wild rice, & kale! The dressing that comes with the salad is the balsamic vinaigrette but I usually sub it for a different dressing because it's a little too sour for me. I've also gotten quinoa instead of the wild rice which is a great option! I sometimes will add mushrooms too. The bowl comes with a side of bread if you'd like too. I think the prices are great for the amount of food you get and it's very quick! I can't wait until the Manhattan beach location opens in September because it's closer for me!

Damn, this place is badly ran. Where was the manager? The line was missing ingredients, the portions were small, bad attitudes all around, no napkins, no water, have to ask for a fork and knife, wtf! What a way to ruin sweet greens for me.

I am obsessed with this place! After living in Wisconsin for so long I gained so much weight. The food out there is so unhealthy; I had to get back to California for something that isn't deep fried, overly processed, and covered in cheese. There are over thousands of salad (hot/cold) combo options that you can make here. It gets pricey quickly and I usually drop $25 on a salad 3x's a week b it it is so worth it. I've been to several locations and this is my favorite due to the huge parking lot and it's right near the Marina which gives you the option of going to sit and eat out there for a nice view. I've never had it crowded like the Manhattan Beach location. The staff is very friendly and I've never had a complaint. There are other eateries in the area so if you come with a group of people they have other options.

5 star food and staff! No water for a month or more...maybe you're trying to sell bottle water, but it just makes me want to go next door to Chipotle where filtered water is available.

Harvest bowl with Blackened chicken and light medium dressing toss . Delish ! I've also tried the hot honey plate which is good too . There's free parking but the parking lot is often a bit of a hot mess . They have some indoor and outdoor seating and major plus that their kitchen is open. Nothing to hide :)

I usually don't have an issue with this location however, I ordered the miso glazed salmon bowl through Postmates this afternoon. I've also never had an issue ordering through a delivery service, but today I received my order with undercooked basmati rice which made my meal pretty much inedible. Very disappointing, especially since I needed the calories in the rice.

After working in the area for the day, decided to come to this shopping plaza because I have been there before. Never heard of sweet green, but it looked hip and healthy- just what I was wanting! The food was delicious! Got the patio chicken hot bowl, and I was in aw at how much I loved it. I forced myself to eat the whole thing even though I was stuffed half way through. I will come back here and I have already told my friend to come here when they are in the area!

I used to patronize this place approximately four times a week and all of their ingredients were fresh and their salad were always so tasty. Over the last few months they have discontinued multiple of their items, including black beans, banana peppers, corn, arugula, olives, and multiple other items. The salad just are not good due to them not having multiple ingredients. I will not be patronizing this business until they bring back some of the staples that made their salads so good. It is disappointing because I used to love this place. I do not know what management is doing. If this type of activity continues. I can assure you this establishment will be out of business soon.

Oh God, no. Don't eat here, for your own safety. Sunday 3/20/22, my husband and I ordered 2 salads with chicken - he got the buffalo, I got the valkyrae crunchy custom. By 3AM the next morning, we were both incredibly, incredibly sick (I'll save you the gross details) and hours later landed in urgent care. We walked through all the things we ate in previous days with the doctor, and the only option for making us sick were these Sweetgreen salads - either E.Coli in the lettuce, or salmonella in the chicken. We had high fevers, bodies ached, [gross details omitted], missed 4 days of work between us, had to drop out of a jury mid-trial, and miss a dua lipa concert. Bad timing, but when is it not bad timing for food poisoning? Contacted sweetgreen Customer support, they said they'd get back to me within 6 hours to hear about the case - 48 hours later, no word. Have ordered from this location many times, and while this was by far the worst, they disappointed us many times with consistency in ingredient quality, the product actually getting delivered, and follow up customer support. They provide a refund when they mess up, but don't offer to make it right beyond that (i.e. discount on next order, re-issuing and expediting the order). No, no, no, no, NO! Save your stomachs and eat elsewhere.

So glad they added garlic steak as a protein option. Steak is tasty and has a lot of flavor. It's been a while since my last visit and not sure if the prices have changed. My custom salad bowl was $20 and I don't recall it being that pricey. Their portions are filling though.

Slowest location I've ever been to. Lunch rush had two individuals and online orders had five individuals working. Myself and others have been standing outside in line for the last 25 mins and I'm just now in the doors of the establishment. Priority has to be better, and turn down the music and you'd hear my toppings and preferences

When it comes to having a sweet tooth, this place often delivers the goods, or should I say.. greens. Sweetgreen offer healthy salads and bowls to select from, and a make it your own options. The dishes are usually delectable and the dressings unique in flavor. This location may not be the best, with service feeling rushed and portions less than other stores, so be mindful. It's on the $$ side.

Food at sweetgreen appears to be standard across this locations and is perpetually fresh and delicious. The staff here are very receptive to working with customers, they have a great team. There is a great area to sit both inside and outside. Overall, it's a great location and great value for its freshness. I always feel like I'm eating healthy grabbing Sweetgreen for dinner - and it is hard to get such a variety of fresh ingredients on my own. It can be busy around dinner or lunch time, so you can order ahead at those time to avoid the rush.

Simple menu with vegan OPTIONS, not to be confused with vegan. And not exactly build-your-own salad. We determined that the rations here are large enough to share. We opted for one of the warm bowl options, the Chickpea Curry Salad. This contains cubed white meat chicken. This was large enough to share. Best of all, it was so delicious. Was given the choice of how lightly dressed we wanted. I chose light and it was perfect. Would come here again. This area is popular, and there is parking.

Really great salad for lunch here! Healthy hearty and great portion! I had the avacado and chicken salad and added feta. The salad was really good. Made fresh in in front of you. The preparer had a bit of an attitude but hey there welcome to LA, he must be a movie star waiting to be discovered! Definitely a go to place for a healthy and delicious lunch.

Good salad. Big bowl serving Has to take home the rest. You can make your own salad too. Will definitely be back for more and try their hot plate. Trust.

This spot is super close to my place, so convenient! My fav is salmon and arugula! They have it always fresh! I also wanna recognize a team member, Banana!!!! She is truly amazing! I always go there just to see her smile, she remembers my name, and treats me so well, I feel special! You can tell she loves what she does, you can feel her genuine self
