Where To Get Lunch In Midtown East

"Perhaps you’ve heard of Sweetgreen. It’s a chain where you can get a pretty good salad (which, if you’re unfamiliar, is a bowl lettuce with various toppings). For some reason there’s only one location in Midtown East, so it gets incredibly busy, and you should order in advance online." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren

Sweetgreen Review - Midtown - New York - The Infatuation

"Are you looking for a place to pick up some salad in Midtown East? Try Sweetgreen. It’s a big chain where you can grab a salad or a bowl with wild rice, baby spinach, steelhead trout, or roughly 50 other ingredients. If you come during lunch, you’ll have to wait in a big line - but you can always order in advance online, then pick up your salad and bring it back to your desk." - Bryan Kim

Google
I come here a lot b/c the food is healthy, the container is biodegradable and the service is just in time for pick up for online orders. When I have an issue (like a stolen order that happened once) the manager Jeremy R takes care of me.

Google
I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but we really enjoyed our experience here. The service was great, and everything was prepared quickly. The salads were nice and the portions were generous. Definitely recommend it!

Google
Sweetgreen betrayed me. I went in expecting a wholesome, soul-healing salad, and instead got cold sweet potatoes with the emotional warmth of an ex’s voicemail. And the dressing? It was so sour I briefly saw my ancestors.

I had a great experience at Sweetgreen! The restaurant was clean and well-organized, with a fresh, good atmosphere that made it a perfect spot for a quick, healthy lunch. There were plenty of options to choose from, and everything looked fresh and inviting. Big shoutout to Ruby at the service counter, her customer service was outstanding. She was friendly, helpful, and made the whole ordering process smooth and enjoyable. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and positive energy, and Ruby definitely delivered that. Highly recommend stopping by this location, great food, great vibe, and even better service!

Meat portion was very small and everything was cold. Ordered the steak bowl.

Sweetgreen has been my go to spot for healthy food since moving to New York. This location is definitely my favorite , it’s super convenient, always clean, and right next to my job. The staff is great, and I have to give a special shoutout to Moises. He’s always so kind and goes out of his way to make sure everything’s perfect when I pick up my orders. It really makes a difference. Thank you, Moises!

Google
Major shout out to this kind, quick, patient, efficient crew who always gets things right (or makes them right) for a bunch of snippy, sometimes rude customers. I never see them lose their cool or not be accommodating. Major shout out to Jeremy who always goes above & beyond for me and is always so polite. He is a gem!! Thank you SG crew; you’re all amazing.

Google
The salads are FRESH and very tasty. The salads are well made and a large portion. The young lady at the counter was so friendly and helpful. I love their salads and come often. I feel like I’m doing my body good when I eat here. Good quality great taste.

Yelp
My favorite salad spot ever, and I do not like salads. My go-to is their harvest bowl with blackened chicken instead of grilled chicken, and parmesan instead of goat cheese. It also comes with kale, wild rice, apples, roasted sweet potatoes, almonds. It's really good and extremely filling. If you are looking for something a little bit more low-cal (the harvest bowl is 700), I'd recommend their seasonal special, the chicken + Brussels. It's pretty similar but doesn't have the rice and it's only 420 calories. The cranberry maple vinaigrette it comes with is deliciousss. They gave me a little more dressing than I wanted* and I didn't even mind. *You choose your dressing amount, and I always ask for "light" but depending on the person, you could get a tiny line or a huge glop. I just wish it was more standardized. The lines get crazy long during the lunch rush but it's worth the wait. The line moves fairly quickly in my opinion, I'm usually in and out in 15-20 minutes max.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience today. As someone who also works in the service industry, I understand that customer service should always be the #1 priority. My colleague and I decided to grab a salad from this location since it's conveniently close to our workplace. However, from the moment we walked in, we were met with unfriendly, almost disgusted looks from the staff. As we approached the counter, we noticed that the young lady (whose name tag was blank) was blasting Vybz Kartel music, which contains derogatory lyrics about the LGBTQIA+ community--something that hits particularly hard as I am part of that community. To make matters worse, she acted as if we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. I understand that everyone has bad days, but this level of unprofessionalism was completely unnecessary. After we received our salads, I sat down and observed how other customers were treated. Sadly, it wasn't just us. The interactions with every person who came in after us only seemed to deteriorate further. This employee's behavior is not only unacceptable but also damaging to your business. I strongly urge management to address this with her before it drives more customers away. A conversation is absolutely necessary to prevent this type of experience from happening again.

Yelp
This place is a madhouse during the work lunch hours. All the finance bros and gals gotta get their salad fix to stay healthy. Even ordering via the app, it takes them a good 30 minutes for your salad to be ready, so the best bet is to order around 10:30AM and pick up your lunch early if work allows it. They have messed up my order a few times, but if you order via the app, you can easily dispute it with a customer representative.

Yelp
Wow! Amazing! I have been helped by Kiki and Deborah before and they are super nice and friendly compared to before. I got a green goddess salad and it was made so well with a lot of attention and care. I would highly recommend this Sweetgreen as the workers are friendly and generous with the ingredients.

Yelp
Service was quick and accurate always a pleasure eating a great salad at Sweet greens Location was clean and employees were friendly and courteous. Keke was a great help navigating the app with me.

Yelp
Really sad desk lunch. Scam. The picture of a full portion of the harvest bowl (not yet touched). I only removed the giant piece of goat cheese to help see the scale of what healthy ingredients are actually in the bowl. The amount of chicken was so pitiful I measured it. Weighed in an 36 grams. I checked their nutrition info and read that the chicken serving size in the harvest bowl is 78 grams. The whole bowl was lighter than what the nutrition info said it was supposed to be. Really unfortunate way to treat consumers by misadvertising the calorie info (There's no way sweetgreen can be maintaining accurately calorie info if the servings are so off). And then undercutting the portion sizes and not giving consumers the value of what they paid for.

Yelp
Service was nice. Food is fresh and delicious if that's what you like. Didn't stay but the environment was clean just not a lot of seats for customers

Yelp
It may have just been an off day so thats why I'm giving this sweetgreen a 3. My salad was missing some ingredients but other than that, the salad tasted okay. The staff was friendly which was great.

Yelp
Consistently 5 star service each time I visit. Bathroom is always clean, always a great experience. I go out of my way to order from this location. It's the little things that matter :-)

Yelp
This is for Lexington 52nd street location bc they don't have a claimed sweetgreen bc they know how crap they are!!! They purposely don't claim bc they know they are trash customer service. 1st offense This is the only location I've eaten at numerous times that I noticed how empty the bowls are when they fill toppings- I would rather walk to the 61st st location. Literally everything is measured less than normal here I spend $16 a bowl each time and barely any toppings- I'm starting to think it has to do with profit margins. They have many staff members just standing around- they will charge you for an extra cilantro even though they give you one piece literally. It's crazy how cheap they are at this location. There is definitely a portion issue- bowls are all Lettuce and rice if you don't get rice there is nothing in it. Second offense one week: I came in today and the woman didn't know what ingredient I was saying and added two portions of tofu when I said quinoa. I didn't mind bc I was in a rush and knew it was accidental and told her oh that's okay but did not expect to be charged for her mistake. She wanted to charge me I said that it wasn't my mistake to be charged so she got a manager, the manager then came over and said she would have to throw out the old salad and remake a new one bc they wouldn't give me a tofu free? Penny pinching attitude I didn't want to wait around another 10 mins for a salad so paid to leave . I'm so disgusted by staff at this location and attitude I received after being a loyal customer years im absolutely disgusted. You would rather throw food in trash than comp a tofu to a loyal customer who eats here everyday? You have 6 employees standing around and ingredients are empty like mushrooms? Who is running this location it's a huge shame and waste of good products and potential for New Yorkers who like to have a healthy lunch. Attitude and stinginess, wasting a customers valuable time- won't get you business! Don't be stingy with loyal customers! Disgusting!

Yelp
On friday 3/10/23 I visited the Sweetgreen location at 55th and park. The store was so clean and the staff was incredible friendly. I loved the experience!

Yelp
When I feel like eating out but want something healthy, sweetgreen is my go-to place for fresh and delicious salads. Food: I've tried their MEXICAN CORN ELOTE BOWL from their early summer seasonal menu. It has the following ingredients: roasted corn, peppers, tomatoes, shredded cabbage, cilantro, local goat cheese, tortilla chips, spicy sunflower seeds, warm quinoa, organic arugula, lime cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette. Do note that this particular salad bowl does not have meat in it! I found it so filling - I couldn't even finish it! They also provide two slices of bread, which is complementary. I've also had their Miso Bowl, which was also very delicious. It's also part of the seasonal menu so they don't have it anymore now that it's summer. Service: Friendly staff! They were very accommodating - since I can't eat anything spicy, I had them swap the jalapeno vinaigrette for miso dressing. I also wanted to control how much cheese was put into my salad (being extra healthy here), so I had them put it on the side. Atmosphere: Very clean, and also modern-looking. Overall: Great place for something healthy to eat. I do feel like price is on a higher end with most bowls costing $12-$15.

D. E.

Yelp
Worse location, the food is horrible. I got my favorite fish taco and it was dry and not well balanced for $17.

Greg S.

Yelp
Online orders are always very late. Can be 15-20 mins after the pick up time. At least just push the pick up time back so people don't stand around for so long

Alexis M.

Yelp
I am sharing this because if I was the manager I would want to know. I've never been treated so poorly at an establishment in my life. The people behind me in line were also shocked at how rude the woman making my salad was. It felt that it almost comical to them. Every time I would list an ingredient, starting with just the arugula, she would say "what next MA'AM" in an extremely hostile voice and let out an exaggerated sigh at every ingredient I added. I asked for avocado and she said "you can't have that, we're out" and then follows with "are you done now?" Again, extremely hostile tone. The rest of the ingredients she switched to just saying "next ma'am". Whoever was first in the lineup preparing the bowls at 11:50am on 1/5 needs to be trained in hospitality. I had to look past this interaction and brush it off my shoulder to not let it ruin my day. I'm not a nit-picky person and I understand everyone has bad days but I can't imagine if management came through the line they would keep her as an employee.

Yelp
I am currently obsessed with Sweetgreen!! This says a lot because I am usually not the type of person who would ever order a salad for lunch or dinner. After trying Sweetgreen just once, I was hooked and they quickly became one of my usual lunch spots. I can't pin point what it is that makes their salads so delicious or set them apart from every other salad place out there but there is a noticeable difference. Maybe it's the fresh ingredients, their seasonings, their generous portions of protein or simply the flavors of their dressings... but whatever they are doing, they are doing it right! Favorites: Base: Romaine & Arugula Proteins: Roasted Chicken and Portobello Mushrooms. Toppings: Spicy Broccoli, Red Onions, Corn Dressings: Spicy Cashew Dressing & Breadcrumbs Set Menu- Guacamole Greens Lunch time is always packed, but they have a convenient app available where you can preorder your salad and pick it up at a designation time. This process is fast and efficient so you'll be in and out of the store in no time! The only difference between ordering on the app and waiting in line is that you have to mix your salad yourself, which I don't think is a big deal.
google avatar

Novella N.

Yelp
Note: I don't dine in at this location, I have only ever ordered on the app and picked up. They are always on point when it comes to getting my order right, and it's always waiting for me when I get there! Usually my go to order is the harvest bowl but this past time I ordered the one with falafel. Unfortunately the falafel was kind of dry :/ Guess I will stick with what I know.
google avatar

Victoria V.

Yelp
The girl that made my salad (kale caesar) didn't know what went in to my salad, dumped a HUGE pile of bread crumbs in to it - when it needs parm crisps... then asked if I was okay with that? Like no? That's not what goes in to the salad? And on top of that proceeded to drench my salad with salad dressing when I said I only wanted light dressing. Salmon was also super dry! How long had it been out for?? This is a salad establishment.... I was really disappointed and don't even want it after I spent the $15.

Yelp
All smiles from the staff Who: group of 5 What: OMG Omega & Cucumber Ginger Lime Fresca When: Training day 1/28 noonish Where: take away Why: To support the team In training How: public transportation Bathroom: did not use Service: fast and friendly Bottom line: patronize this business repeatedly. Well done training team members

Yelp
I'm not a salad person, but I am hooked. Every time I get a bowl of sweetgreen salad though, I end up finishing the whole thing because it's somehow just that good. However, the wait time during weekday lunchtime is insane - prepare yourself for half an hour minimum. It's way better to order ahead online or through their app (bonus: you get $9 when you spend $99).
google avatar

Jen F.

Yelp
I love Sweetgreen! As a former Washington DC dweller, I was excited to see there was a Sweetgreen so close to my office. Their salads are amazing, locally sourced ingredients, and very filling. Expect to pay roughly $12-15 for your salad. My favorite salads? The HARVEST BOWL (warm grains plus kale and goat cheese? YES!) and the Kale Caesar is also awesome. During the lunch rush, the line is very long- expect to spend at least 20 minutes. I recommend using their online ordering feature and picking up your salad when it's ready. It will be sitting on the book shelf waiting for you and already paid for. The only downside is that they don't mix or put the dressing on your salad for you. If you've ever tried to mix your own salad that's practically overflowing the container, you know how hard this is. It's the first world struggle that pains me most- is it worth the 20 minutes to have my salad mixed and dressed? Or maybe I should buy one of those giant metal bowls and keep it at work. Or...HINT HINT Sweetgreen, please add a "dress and mix" feature to online ordering!

Yelp
Sweetgreen is by far my favorite salad restaurant over all! Especially the 55th street location from the ambiance music and great vibes you get as soon as you walk in to the amazing managers an servers I wish I knew everyone's name so I give each one a special shout out but as of right now the only 3 that come to mind immediately are Kiki Deborah and Johnathan! Can't think of there names right a way but Definitely can't forget about the managers! With all the great food options they have to offer the staff is truly what makes me feel like I have to rate this restaurant 5 stars! I'm not picky so sometimes I don't know what I want anytime I ask for a recommendation I'm never disappointed! Every time I walk in greeted with a smile and most of the time by name since I love this spot I try to stop by regularly when I work! I always have and always will continue to recommend sweetgreen and any time I'm in the 55th street area there not a restaurant around that can compare to satisfaction I get from stopping by and getting a amazing salad & seeing all the wonderful staff at sweetgreen!

Amanda L.

Yelp
Kiki and Deborah at the 60 E 55th St are AMAZING. So helpful and pleasant each day I come there for lunch! The line moves quickly - even during the rush lunch time - and the food is always delicious. Thank you!!
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
I cant think of any reason why you should not give sweetgreen a 5 star. Unlike some pure salad place, sweetgreen has warm bowls which is a combo of grains and veggies and protein. And they are delicious. Says a person who hates salad aka me. Harvest bowl is the most famous warm bowl. Very healthy ingredient and very filling and is my go to order. Order online using the app! Plz do not complain about the line when u know here is a better option. But if for some reason you didnt order online and go to the store at peak hour, good luck.
google avatar

Sue C.

Yelp
This branch is a convenient location by midtown. But, prepare yourself...there's always a line out the door during lunch hours so there'a going to be a wait. I came by to give it try afterwork and I didn't like it. It was meh, the salad didn't taste as great as I thought it would. I felt like the portions between the greens and toppings were way off. Too much greens... the staff at this location was okay.
google avatar

Veronika S.

Yelp
4 stars only because it's a bit pricy.... I paid 18$ for a spring asparagus + herbs salad with extra protein But it's delicious, very fresh and rye bread they serve with your order is delicious! Perfect place for a post workout meal
google avatar

Andy Y.

Yelp
Very good salads and very fresh. Interior: Cool layout and most orders are done online so you just come and pick it up on the shelves. Salads: Slightly wish these were chopped up and mixed but other than that these salads are superb and fresh ! Overall: Popular lunch spot to hit up in midtown
google avatar

Sallie D.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with SG because: 1) Great topping quality and variety. Flavors work really well together. There's enough degrees of freedom for picky eaters like myself to build the perfect customized salad. 2) Love the protein choices. I generally don't eat red meat and dislike chicken. Their fish (salted so goes really well on top of a salad) and shrimp are both great. 3) Dressing tastes amazing. I always get the same miso one which has a lot of umami. 4) The place runs pretty efficiently. Great workday grab and go lunch spot. 5) I'm not big on carbs, but their bread is from Sullivan Street Bakery, which is pretty good. A few tips: 1) No cash accepted. (Speeds up the checkout line dramatically. They need to do this everywhere!) 2) Use the app to order ahead and save a 30-40 min lunchtime wait. But no refunds. Also they'll throw out your salad if you don't pick up after 30 minutes. For peak lunch hour pick up, probably safer to order by 10-10:30am. 3) I always get dressing on the side because even the perfect chop/toss/mix 9 times out of 10 is not worth that one time they overdid the dressing and I had to pick out the edible parts leaf by leaf... I'm a fan!
google avatar

Saddmun A.

Yelp
I love Sweetgreen and this location is great and very close to where I work so it's a lunch and dinner staple. Definitely grab the HARVEST BOWL (goats cheese, kale, apple and wild rice -- to die for!). They even have a super easy to use app which makes ordering online for pick up incredibly easy. The only downside is that when you do order online, the salad will NOT be tossed (and it's incredibly hard to toss a salad that's already filled to the brim btw...) But overall highly recommend Sweetgreen and this location as well. Be careful of coming in at peak times (lunch or dinner after work) as there is a HUGE line waiting for you.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Sadly, my experience here has only gotten worse over time. Very small portions for toppings, the bowl is barely half filled, and worst of all the employees repeatedly don't know the ingredients of their own menu. And when you correct them they don't listen to you and/or get an attitude. Just today at this location I ordered a salad with kale and the worker used romaine. I asked "I wanted kale. Is that kale?" and she replied, "Yes." I ended up just letting it go. Poor girl doesn't even know her lettuces.

Bre F.

Yelp
I stopped eating sweetgreen months ago because whenever I finished my salad, there was something slimy left at the end. Today, I order a salad online and go pick it up. Half way through my salad, I spot something red. Upon closer inspection it's a ladybug. Disgusting. Disgusting. DISGUSTING! DO NOT EAT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
google avatar

Terrilyn L.

Yelp
Good quality salad for a good price. It's a great place to grab a salad that you're going to eat at your desk. Lol, mind of a corporate lady! The website needs some maintenance, as it occasionally freezes. I think the glitch on the site is because they cannot facilitate orders in less than an hour, during prime time (which makes sense), but the webpage does not specify this. Salads are always fresh, orders are always ready at or before the time promised. So glad Sweet Green made it to midtown! Try the Guacamole Greens and the Kale Caesar!
google avatar

Elaine H.

Yelp
I just cannot express my happiness once I discovered this new sg location, which is only two blocks away from my office. Loved the fact that they have tables and restroom, unlike their 61st street location (the second closest to me). Also accidentally discovered that sg sources their bread from Sullivan St Bakery, one of the better pastry spots in the city - hmm probably I should not skip bread every time ordering salad... Anyway, now I have found my lunch spot. Thanks for coming to midtown east sg! Suggestion: sg does not allow salad to be pre-tossed, this makes pre-order online a bit less useful, as I still need to line up and get my salad tossed. Wish they could add an option on their online ordering system regarding this.
google avatar

Jeniece R.

Yelp
This is a good place to go for healthy, natural, locally sourced food. It is a bit pricey however. I really like the Chicken Pesto Parm bowl (very good if you like spicy food). The food tastes fresh and is filling. I would recommend ordering ahead because the line can get pretty long, but the line still moves kind of quickly. You can download and order from the app for rewards. They have some gluten free options as well. Can't wait to try the other menu options.
google avatar

Jordan W.

Yelp
The newest Sweetgreen is here and it is what people have been waiting for. I personally have been to one in Williamsburg and Kenmare area only in the past. This weekend there was a neighborhood day, soft opening and it was great. I went for the OMG Omega after hearing so much about it in the past. Loved the vibe and atmosphere here and the workers were all really cool. This wonderful salad features Organic Arugula, Organic baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, avocado, roasted steelhead, nori furikake, miso sesame ginger dressing. All these lovely ingredients give you a great salad that was better than most I had in a while. Will probably visit again soon, maybe for Rad Thai or possibly this Salad again.

Yelp
This nice, new midtown east sweetgreen dished up a quite good warm portobello taco bowl, which was surprisingly excellent. Transaction Amount $11.54 Portobello Taco Bowl $10.60 Other* * tax or other one-off adjustments $0.94

Yelp
I don't get the hype behind sweetgreen. I don't see what distinguishes it from competitors? ***LOCATION & INTERIOR*** This is the new location in Midtown East, so expect insane weekday lunch rushes. I highly, highly recommend placing a takeout order online so you can zip in, find your order on the take-out shelf, and zip out. Otherwise, you'll be stuck in a line that goes out the door. There are tables to eat at near the front, but it gets crowded during lunchtime. ***FOOD*** So sweetgreen has a ton of premade bowls with a few vegan bowls (spicy sabzi salad and shroomami are the permanent vegan menu items), but you can also customize a bowl. It's the normal drill--choose a base, choose x amount of toppings, choose a main, choose a dressing, etc. Bowls are about $10+, which is the normal midtown lunch price range. I placed a takeout order for 1:30 but when I arrived my order wasn't on the shelf yet. I ended up waiting until 1:45ish--still much better than waiting in the long line though. I got the spicy sabzi salad, but swapped out a bunch of stuff so it was really more of a custom. Basically I just got a ton of veggies on a bed of kale, and my main was tofu. There's really nothing to say taste-wise...It didn't seem like the veggies or tofu were cooked or marinaded or prepared in any special way. Just plain veggies and tofu that's closer to raw than cooked. Everything was also super salty...ech. All in all, my salad was bland despite the overdose of salt. Maybe a rice bowl would've brought better textures and taste? A pro: the ingredients were fresh and well-cleaned. ***NOTES/RECOMMENDATION*** If you love salad sweetgreen might be a good spot for lunch since there are a ton of options. But if you're impartial to salad and think sweetgreen will bring something special to the table...nah, it won't.

Yelp
"medium dressing" = drenched with a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl..... New location, don't expect it to be perfect, but it was pretty horrendous. Yes, it's lunch in midtown and gets busy, but that requires a sense of operational efficiency that this branch highly lacked. I've gone twice, once as a pre-order and once waiting in line. Pre-order is definitely a better option, but note that they do not mix the salad, so make an extra note if you don't just want clumps of veggies as you struggle to mix back in the office. The first experience in line was AWFUL. The girl making mine was probably new, but about four or five people passed me in the assembly line because it took forever to make mine (no alterations until the drressing, just standard). When I was at the register, a man literally pointed to a bowl that had just stopped before reaching the register and said, "that's my food, I've already paid, can you PLEASE just hand it to me." The worst was the dressing. The flavors are great, but there's a reason I ask for medium, and that does not mean splurting the remaining contents of the bottle into the bowl until it's empty enough to throw away.... There are much better lunch options in the area until they improve this one.

Yelp
Usually always a bit of a line and really slow. I see 2 staffs constantly taking trash out and moving things in, a couple inside the kitchen area but there's only two staff that is doing all the order while working as the cashier. A few seats and tables but usually it's full too. The food tastes alright but I have had better salad bowls. Price is okay but the staffs are generally friendly. Walkable to subway stations and it's not too hard to find. Not my go to spot or salad place

Yelp
In a huge fan of sweetgreen, so I had to stop by for lunch now that they opened this midtown location one block from my office. The ingredients are always fresh and healthy. The options for salads and hot/cold bowls are always delicious. Can't go wrong with a kale Caesar. I prefer to make my own bowl. I love the chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes. The line jalapeño dressing is great. If you like a lot of dressing then ask for heavy or ask for it on the side. If you go light or medium they really stick to the lighter side. Not a problem for me, but I know some people like to be warned. The line was long because this place just opened and is going to be really popular. If you must have sweetgreen but can't wait in line then I'd suggest ordering pick up. It's a lot faster.

Yelp
I've been back a handful of times since my last review. I've really appreciated the consistency in portion size since the catastrophe last time and the store's ability to always have my order ready on time!

Yelp
So I just got two bowls from here winter squash and harvest, one time I came here the dude charged me for chili flakes, I mean come on f*cking chili flakes, I let it go. I come back, you see... I get sweetgreen atleast 3 times a week but I just so decided to come here because it's closer. As of now I'm contemplating never purchasing anything from sweet-green ever again because I found a f*cking worm in my food. Absolutely, disgusting. First time I've found sh*t in my food. F*cking A.

Yelp
Update: management reached out to me and refunded my order within a week and apologized, so I am amending my review as the error was addressed.

Yelp
Had a cashier that was nice enough, I go the crispy rice bowl that was super good, never had a warm salad before but had a great first experience!

Yelp
The Hummus and Tahini Salad has become a staple of my weekly lunches at this point (pictured). I have never been a fan of any of the take-out salad joints no matter how many free toppings they offer, but SweetGreen is on a whole other level, and every salad that I've tried has been fresh, packed with different ingredients (the Hummus and Tahini also comes with falafel), and keeps the dressing on the side so your salad doesn't get drenched or soggy. The only negative is that for a quick salad, the price is relatively high, but there's definitely nowhere else that I'm going for a take-out salad in Manhattan.

Yelp
Your classic, delicious sweet green. However, the line was REALLY long although I went earlier than 12 pm. Because of its location I thought they needed to be faster but the place actually doesn't have the capacity to be fast enough for the demand it receives. It is located in a pretty small place which definitely made it difficult for them to be fast. Quality was great as always, it's just unlucky that the place isn't big enough to make the waiting lines shorter.

Yelp
Yum! I stopped by sweetgreen for the first time today, but it definitely won't be my last visit! I ordered the shoomami bowl and loved it. It's super flavorful and very filling. The bowl is vegan as is, so I ordered it with everything. The flavors work so well together. The tofu was among of the best I've had - well seasoned and not at all bland. The bits of basil added a nice layer of flavor and the raw beets were fresh and crisp. The only downside was the long line. I got there at 12 and was in line for more than 30 minutes. Next time I will definitely order ahead!

Yelp
This sweetgreen is in the bottom of my building so I have a kind of unhealthy attachment to it. Everyone who works here is super nice and the salads are always great!!! I get a strange amount of comfort from getting a salad here. Favorite one might be the spicy Thai. Anyway. Great sweetgreen, highly recommend.

Yelp
I've been twice to sweetgreen. The first time I went I was blown away how busy it was. It was slammed at lunch and from start to finish it took 40 mins (!), so not quite a quick-lunch. But the workers were very efficient and the line moved -- there were just so many people. I've ordered the Spring Caesar (I'm assuming this is seasonal) which included arugula, lettuce, asparagus, radishes, hard boiled eggs, creamy caesar, and hot-sauce. I didn't expect it too work as well as it did. The second time I had the Spicy Salad (which is now discontinued). It was tasty but not as memorable. It's an expensive fast-casual lunch in Manhattan and will probably set you back approx. $15 -- which is a lot for a salad.
