Pelicana Korean Fried Chicken and Salad Chain Sweetgreen Come to Capitol Hill | Eater Seattle

"I learned that the fast-casual salad chain is coming to Capitol Hill in the former Stout pub space in the Sunset Electric apartment building (which closed in 2019); the company also announced it will become publicly traded and plans to roughly double its locations to about 280 restaurants over the next five years." - Eater

Love the Harvest bowl. It is healthy and filling. My partner tried the Honey chicken and enjoyed it. We requested for some extra sauce and were helped immediately. Small seating area inside but overall a good experince. Recommend both for dine-in as well as takeout.

Tried the Shroomami with spicy cashew and lemon vinaigrette. The taste was really good—definitely one of the better spots to try vegan salads. However, the kale portion felt a bit too much and overpowered the rest of the flavors. A little balance would make it even better!

Sweetgreen is next to the Trader Joe's that we shop at. We have driven by Sweetgreen many times as we come and go from Trader Joe's, so we finally decided to give it a try !!! Here is the verdict: Customer service was great, we ordered the "Caramelized Garlic Steak" and the "Miso Glazed Salmon". We both had wild rice and white rice The garlic steak was good and tender. The salmon was ok, I noticed they pulled the small salmon piece from the buffet style tray instead of freshly cooking it. That was a big turn-off for me. We tried the "Ripple Fries" but decided not to order it. Overall, it's not too bad, but unfortunately for us, this was a "One-Time" stop. Next time, we would make that "20-minute" dash to the "Worldwrap" at the Mission College Mercado and buy their "Chimichurri Salmon plate" Let me know what you think !!!

I'm an Uber driver. I came to Sweet green Sunnyvale to pick up an order. The employee said it would take 20 to 30 minutes to prepare. After a while, I said I needed to use the washroom. Please give me the washroom code. He flatly refused. I want to know. Don't you provide a washroom for the driver?

I ordered to go and this is what I got, they just put things together and I have to mix them all by myself, they didn’t even slice the avocado. With almost 30 dollars for a salad bowl this is not the experience I expected, not to mention they were late for my pickup time.

Visited with my friend for dinner. The food tasted good, however I had GI issues afterwards - maybe from the dressing or from the marinated and fried tofu? The staff was nice, however probably so busy that they couldn't take care of the cleaning. We had to remove the food pieces from previous guests and wipe down the table to be able to eat without getting our sleeves dirty. Every table had food leftovers...

I have ordered sweetgreen more than 30 times from New York to California. I was always a fan but now I change my mind due to the recent order on Oct 21 in Sunnyvale store. I was intended to pick up my Miso Salmon bowl on 12:15pm, so I placed the order in advance, but my team at work suggested to have lunch together so I didn’t pick up my order on time. What I think at that time was picking up late should be fine, as food only goes cold or not fresh but will not disappear. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the store in Sunnyvale at 1:40pm, my meal was not on the rack. I turned to the store assistant and asked about the issue. I showed her the order number and she responded in a it reluctant tone that “We can redo it for you but One Time Only”. She felt not sorry for my order being took by other people and sounds like i should feel bad, but Why? I don’t understand how sweetgreen trained the employees to handle this situation. As I said, if I picked up 1.5 hours late, the food goes cold, but should not disappear. It’s okay if sweetgreen doesn’t have arranged anyone to supervise the pickup line. But this is based on sweetgreen’s trust in customer and should be responsible if any loss caused by this. I have ordered from sweetgreen since 2023 and most of them are delivery or pick up orders. This is the first time I realized how bad their in-store service is. Even a small unexpected situation can turn into a worse experience.

The ingredients are fresh, and the salads taste great — healthy and satisfying. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and well-maintained. That said, pickup can take a while during busy hours, and parking is sometimes a challenge. Hopefully these issues can be improved in the future. Still, it’s a solid spot for a healthy meal and definitely worth trying!
