Yelp
The fruit tea is great and it doesn't taste as artificial as some other teas. There aren't that many workers, but they're all very friendly. There's a corner of little capybara plushies and pens for sale, which I found interesting, but they're a bit overpriced. I recommend this place for anybody looking for a good, relaxing experience.

Yelp
Strawberry Shaved Ice (5/5): WOW. Did not expect this to be good, but it rivals the shaved ice in Taiwan and Korea. The ice was very finely shaven and full of flavor (must've been strawberry condensed milk ice rather than water ice with strawberry flavoring and condensed milk on top). The boba had perfect texture and consistency and didn't harden even in the ice. The strawberries were fresh and sweet. And I personally don't like the jellies, but it was nice to have that included as well. SO GOOD. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Yelp
Came here for the cream puffs but unfortunately those are only offered for pre order :( The honey and caramel cake tasted great and the interior was super pretty! We also tried the boba and shaved ice which were way too sweet and we couldn't finish.

Yelp
We stopped in here because the restaurant across the street, Red Ginger, gave us a stamp for 10 percent off at Sweets and Seats for dining with them. It's really cute inside and I was really surprised by how big it was inside. Everything looked really good and the desserts we tried were tasty. If you order it to-go, it comes in a cute to-go box.

Yelp
Cute cafe with delicious bubble tea in downtown Asheville. Nice ambience inside and lots of sweet treats.

Yelp
When you want a sweet treat but can't make up your mind...you get them all!! lol Everything in the display case looked really good! I finally decided on the chocolate mousse cake, strawberry shortcake and the tiramisu. I did share these with friends and we all agreed on how good they were.

Yelp
Wow, so delicious and beautiful. I had Gluten Free Chocolate Cake which was so rich and perfectly sweet. My husband had the shaved ice which I just HAD to try. We both agreed we'd never had anything remotely like it before, so fresh and refreshing.

Yelp
My friend and I were craving boba so we stopped by this place. She said that she usually comes here when she's in the area and after our experience, I can see why. They have a pretty large menu with milk teas, fruit teas, coffees, and even shaved ice. Their menu was impressive. Also the pastries looked so good inside the display cabinet by the cashier, it was hard to pick one. Eventually I got the regular milk tea with tapioca and a tiramisu dessert. I was able to get light ice and less sugar. My drink was good, but I felt like it was still sweeter than I would like. Boba consistency was great and flavor was good though. I got the tiramisu and my friend got the strawberry shortcake. Both desserts were delicious. I loved how light and airy the strawberry shortcake was. And the tiramisu was rich and flavorful, but also light as well. The seating area was decorated nicely. I loved the furniture and aesthetic. There were many seating options and it didn't feel cramped. Although the ads playing on the tv were a little odd and out of place. Other than that, I really enjoyed the vibe this place has. One thing I liked was that there was a faucet for drinking water that we could serve ourselves. Lastly, I had to convey this to the staff before I left. But the music playlist was POPPIN. Everytime the song changed, it was like a 2000's pop or rnb song and it was hit after hit EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was drinking my boba, enjoying my dessert, and dancing in my seat. I was like "Who chose this playlist????" but in the best way lol. I couldn't ask for anything more, I had a wonderful time. Service was sweet and friendly. The overall experience was amazing and I'd bring my friends here so we could enjoy like how I truly enjoyed my first time here. Vibes were immaculate, it was a 4.5/5 for me.

Yelp
Delicious shaved ice. We ordered one mango and one strawberry. They're huge! I felt that the mango had a lot more flavor than the strawberry. They both come with sweeted condensed milk, boba, jelly and whipped cream. It's the thing dreams are made of. I wish we had a place like this where we live bc we'd go constantly. It was beautiful inside and all of their desserts were packed so nicely. They're the kind of desserts you see bloggers posting about. The employees were very nice. When fished you bus your own table. They also have good bathrooms. FYI.. we ate at Red Ginger Dimsum and Tapas across the street before stopping here. They put a red stamp on your receipt, which gives you 10% off at Sweets and Seats. But ... We forgot to use it and remembered as we were eating the shaved ice. Doh!

Yelp
YUM!!!! Delicious pastries and fabulous service! Will be back to try more items! The chocolate mousse dome and crème brûlée were heavenly!

Yelp
There is no shortage of dessert options in Asheville, but this is a new flavor. I was expecting a fairly generic and unimpressive bubble tea place, but found that they had not only drinks but a rather splendid looking dessert display. Spoiled for choice, I settled on a Portuguese dessert I'd never heard of before, apparently named after sawdust because of the finely crumbled cookie layer. It was quite nice, but I waited for my earl grey to arrive before eating it for a balanced flavor experience. Their indoor space is remarkably large for downtown and offers the opportunity to socialize or hang around for a while. The bubble tea may be good, but I'd certainly come just for the cakes and other desserts.

Yelp
Such a beautiful cafe - instagram worthy you can say! Go my usual almond milk latte and it was good. Nothing great, but good. But it is expensive! I f you are spending some time there with friends sure, but if you plan to grab its really pricey.

Yelp
The dinning area was what set it apart. It was so cute! There was chairs, coaches, paintings, lighting, absolutely perfect for any occasion. The cashier was nice. And the food was served so cutely. We went after dinner as our dessert and it was the perfect ending. For the carrot cake, it was enough for two people to share and still have leftovers because of how dense it was. But really, it seemed each dessert had a lot of thought that went into the presentation. I appreciate that.

Yelp
This spot came in clutch for me, as I needed a spot to settle in to and get some work done. I honestly wasn't in the mood for boba, and couldn't handle any caffeine, but this spot has a lot of options. Ultimately, I ignored what I was in the mood for and went for a relatively unsweetened mango bona with green tea! It was really tasty and the boba pearls were nice and chewy. They also had a beautiful case of pastries but that's one for next time. One thing I really, really loved and appreciated is that this spot has a lot of comfortable space to settle into. Big couches, comfy chairs, and also nice restrooms in the back. It's open and airy and I felt like there was a ton of space, especially considering that it's right in the middle of downtown Asheville where I'm sure it ain't cheap. Glad to have found this!
google avatar

Aurora D.

Yelp
Tried this spot on a friend's recommendation and wow--it did not disappoint! The mango green tea was so refreshing and the boba had a great texture. Cozy vibe, clean space, and chill music. I'll be back for sure!,

Yelp
So cute! Quick service. Great boba spot. They have the main popular flavors. They can change the level of sweetness on some of the drinks. Need to go back to try the deserts.

Yelp
We didn't mean to come here, but I'm glad we did. Sweets and Seats is a charming spot in downtown Asheville, serving sweets with plenty of seats to choose from. Come for the beverages and desserts, and stay for the inviting space to read, work or just chill. We were waiting to be seated at a restaurant nearby, so decided to check out Sweets and Seats to kill time. I'm glad to have discovered this place because the menu had a lot of appealing items, from different milk and fruit teas, coffees and boba, to pastries in the case that were tempting! I ended up getting a mango passion fruit green tea and added mango pops. My drink was solid, and since I love mango and passion fruit, I enjoyed it. The popping mango just added even more mango flavor. If I hadn't been going to brunch, I would've definitely tried one of their pastries or desserts because it all looked delicious. I'm a sucker for sweets! There are some seats in the front area where you order and pay, but the second room is very large and spacious with lots of seats that were comfortable. If I lived in the area, this would be an ideal place where I would work and read, with some sweets on hand. Glad to have discovered this dessert shop. I'll have to check it out when I'm in town again!

Yelp
Oh My God I loved it here. The vibe was so cute and the giant boba statue outside really drove home how cute it was and made me so excited to eat there! I went twice last week while staying in Asheville, NC. I first went to get Boba. I got the brown sugar boba with tapioca pearls, but I enjoyed the tapioca pearls much more. The boba was really good though, I liked the flavor and you could taste the brown sugar vs other boba I've had where it's barely there and you can't taste it. They had many flavors of Tapioca Pearls but I just got regular ones! Then, I came back the next day and got the chocolate mousse cake (pretty good but no match for Paris's chocolate mousse sorry) and a chocolate macaron as well as a cookies and cream macaron which was DELICIOUS. I loved the chocolate macaron and it may have been the best macaron I've ever had in my life (the cookies and cream one couldn't compare to the chocolate). I wish we had this place where I live so I could go more! Also, I bought this really cute boba keychain (I'll include a picture of the keychain) from there and it's so cute and I'm obsessed and serves as an adorable momento and souvenir!! The service was okay but the rest of the store made up for it, it's very pretty with a seperate room to drink your boba on couches and pretty tablesI'm so excited about this place! I loved it so much!!

Yelp
What a cute space! Perfect for taking a little break when walking around downtown. Nice staff, too. The tea and boba were fine--not bad but not amazing.

Yelp
The boba was delicious and so were the macarons! Highly recommend. The inside was adorable and a great space to work. The staff was all very nice.

Yelp
Love this eclectic pastry shop, coffee shop, and place to connect in downtown Asheville. They have a wide variety of coffees and drinks. And a super selection of pastries, cakes and desserts. Go into the other room find a seat, relax and just spend the day away enjoying yourself sipping delicious coffee and eating some yummy desserts. Been here a couple of times and each time I had the Americano coffee. Robust, full of flavor. Other folks I was with had the lattes and love them. I had an orange sponge cake that was very tasty, with a good orange zest to it. The tiramisu just the right size after dinner. And a creme brulee which was just outstanding. The service was fast. The sitting area has a great ambience for enjoying these delectables with good conversation. I hope you will discover this place in Asheville together with friends and family and while you're at it enjoy some good coffee and great desserts.

Yelp
Cheesecake was good, but the shaved ice was the money shot. We did the mango shaved ice and that was destination viewing. My son's cake pop was gone so quickly that I don't remember him ordering it, and my 10-year-old's flourless chocolate cake was also gone in a flash. This place was much more of a lounge--albeit with the lights on a bit too brightly for my tastes!--than supposed "lounges" like French Broad Chocolate Lounge, which didn't feel loungey at all. The rest of the ambiance was OK, although we still can't figure out why there were furniture ads playing behind me the entire time on a large television. Otherwise, looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Needed a cold drink after walking the square and other areas. Stopped in for a latte .. ended up picking brown sugar latte. Hmmm ... since when did a latte not come with expresso? Had to pay to add it. Then it was SUPER sugary!!!! Also decided to try a bite .. creme Brule was really good. They must have just opened because everyone was confused .. especially on how to use the register. The atmosphere is super chic and lots of space.

Yelp
Huge cafe with great dessert case. I'd not had decent bubble tea in many decades of visits here so my expectations were low. Very fun cafe ambience. Staff friendly and charming. Boba was cooked just right. My fruit tea had passionfruit, mango & lychee purée. Outstanding.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I've written a review with two stars and I hate that. Maybe this place will get itself together and become incredible. I imagine it's tough opening a business downtown. I like the concept for sure. It's the execution that's lacking. Upon entering, there are four staff around a small counter area and they are just talking to each other. Very bright and stylish decor but not super welcoming or cozy. I did like the furniture and felt like the space was aesthetically pleasing. Everything at this place is incredibly expensive. I guess that's how they keep such nice downtown real estate and so many staff though. A Boba tea is around $6 and shaved ice is $10. The Boba tea and shaved ice took about 20 minutes to arrive despite us being the only people in the establishment in with 4 workers. I asked for the Boba tea without sugar and they said it wasn't possible and they were out of the type of tea I wanted anyway. They then agreed for it to be less/half sugar, but it definitely was not. It was incredibly syrupy and tasted disgusting. Supposed to be milk tea but I'm pretty sure the entire into the bottom was liquid brown sugar. The Boba itself was delicious and they did have nice variety. The mango tea we got was pretty bland, but way better on the sweetness amount. The shaved ice was disgusting. It was like fake Strawberry mixed with heavy cream and very weird in texture (like shaved coconut). Not how you imagine shaved ice to be at all. There were Boba in it which is cool but also some strange square jellies that did not taste great.

Yelp
Night place with plenty of seating nice and bright. Relaxing music. However everything is sooo sweet and coffee drinks are tepid at best. Prices are high.

Yelp
What a fun find on my first trip to Asheville! My boyfriend and I stopped in because of how cute it looked inside and also...boba tea. That's always a YES. We tried the passion fruit boba tea with rainbow jellies and decided to get the orange mousse cake to go with it. It was light, creamy and refreshing. I love the ambiance and artwork. This would be the perfect place to get some work done or just hang out with friends.

Yelp
The best afternoon tea in Asheville! Over the past few years, I have been to many places in Asheville serving afternoon tea and this has by far been the best experience. I enjoyed all the savories (the cucumber sandwich being my favorite) and was happy to see there were a few extras not on the menu added to our tray. The desserts are definitely the standout for this afternoon tea. They were some of the prettiest (and tastiest) desserts I have had in a long time. The presentation of everything was amazing! The tiered tray was arranged beautifully and even the clotted cream was cutely displayed. The decor inside Sweets and Seats is always amazing and I was excited to see our table was near the super cool moss wall. I always recommend people to go here for bubble tea and I am happy to add afternoon tea to the recommendations as well. :)

Yelp
Yummy treats and great furniture. They had Oat Milk for my Thai Tea (I have a lactose intolerance - so that was a bonus)

Yelp
This was such a cute boba shop that just opened in the area. We stopped by here after dinner nearby. They had several dessert options and boba selections. I got the strawberry boba which was tasty and fulfilled our sweet cravings.

Yelp
What a true gem! We came in to simply get a coffee and some boba teas for our family. After trying them, we went back to purchase some of the desserts they have. All were delicious and fresh tasting. The boba was not your typical boba place as it had more flavor. The staff was very friendly as well. Definitely recommend you trying this place for coffee, tea, or desserts.

Yelp
There are many Boba shops in Asheville and I have travel all over New Mexico to Florida for the best of Boba and this place has the best Boba tea outside of Atlanta! They also have great lattes and the bakery food looks amazing! The vibes are so relaxing and everything is so decorated so well! This place gets me!

Yelp
I've visited Sweets and Seats twice and I really enjoy this cute little cafe. The first time I went, I had the Taro Shaved Ice, the Strawberry Shortcake and my daughter had a Boba Milk Tea. The Strawberry Shortcake was so delicate and delicious! It was moist white cake with a light custardy filling with strawberries. It reminded me of my wedding cake in Los Angeles that I got from Phoenix Bakery and their famous "strawberry cream cake"! I love that they cover the sides of the slice, so it stays nice and fresh and doesn't dry out. The Taro Shaved Ice was surprisingly delicious. Great taro flavor, sweet condensed milk that added a bit of a creamy flavor and it reminded me the halo halo that I enjoyed when I visited Hawaii. My daughter enjoyed her Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea. I came back again today to have the Strawberry Shortcake on my birthday :) Treat yourself, right? The staff are friendly, the cafe is very clean, spacious and bright and the desserts look beautiful and so far are very tasty. They even have QR codes where you can order from your table, which is so tempting after you try one dessert, you definitely want to order another! I will definitely be eating my way through their offerings! So happy this place is here in Asheville!

Yelp
Ordered a mango milk tea with mango popping bubbles: there was enough taste of mango to make it a refreshing drink on a hot day. The mango popping bubbles were a complimentary addition. The decor was beautiful with different artificial plants and decor. Service was quick and prompt!
google avatar

Yelp
A very aesthetically pleasing cafe with equally beautiful treats & drinks. The prices were reasonable, I could've easily sat in the cafe for a few hours relaxing and enjoying their treats. I had a carrot cake, a crepe cake & a taro milk tea. The crepe cake was delicious and fresh, I personally liked the carrot cake better. The taro bubble tea was okay, I've had a lot of bubble tea and this was average, it was good but not the best I've had.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
This spot is so cute! The aesthetic is beautiful, the service is great, and the selection of drinks and sweets is fantastic. I recommend visiting the stop whether you are visiting or a resident of Asheville!

Yelp
I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the negative reviews on here. I was so excited when my friend told me this place had just opened. There is a dearth of good Asian food & bakeries in Asheville, in general, so I was stoked to try this place out. Price: on the pricier side, especially for the bubble tea, but not much different than other upscale Asian bakeries I've been to (ie, TOUS les JOURS) Atmosphere: decor is beautiful and clean. Looks small when you first enter but there is a larger seating area around the corner on the right Food: I got the mango cream cake, green tea cream puff, macaroons (passionfruit & green tea), and a chocolate mousse cake. The mango cream cake is SO good. I'm love the light and fluffy texture of Asian cakes, and the cream is not sickeningly sweet like American pastries are. It has just the right amount of sugar added. The macaroons are decent but not the best. The green tea cream puff is delicious! I wish they made it in a bigger size like I've had in NYC. Drinks: taro milk tea with tapioca = delicious. They don't use real taro but most places don't; however, I thought the taste was great and the bubbles were chewy and great consistency. It was on the pricier side of $7 with the tapioca pearls, but a lot of other places charge similar prices (ie, A-Ci Tea). There's only one size but I thought they did a really good job. They did not ask for the sweetness level though, but it was a good amount of sweetness for me. I don't normally like super sweet things though so this might not be sweet enough for most people. But for us Asians, it is perfect! Service: I came midday on a Monday, so it wasn't busy with only a few people in line before me. They've only been open for a few weeks, so I think they are still trying to figure it out. The girl who took my order was very nice but was still trying to figure out the register when ringing certain items up. I got my pastries and bubble tea within several minutes. I'm sure it'll be busier on weekends, especially while the staff is still starting to get the hang of things. Overall: Being Chinese, I feel like I can say this place is on pointe. I highly recommend to check it out if you are visiting Asheville or or local and happen to be downtown! I'm so glad to see more and more Asian places popping up! :)

Yelp
The pastries were fresh and delicious. The caramel cream puffs stole our hearts. We ended up taking a box of them to go. Can't wait to come back for more! Matcha latte is probably the best in town. Great coffee too. The cafe is very clean and beautifully decorated. We definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
lots of dairy free options! i was so excited. the tea was very good i tried a little bit of my husbands shaved ice. it wasn't dairy free but could have been made dairy free

Yelp
Nice clean dining area. Chocolate mousse cake was amazing!! We had the Americano coffee which was hot and tasty since the Drip coffee on the menu as unavailable. Cashier could have been friendlier but did her job.

Kelsey B.

Yelp
Eclectic, fun, and calming space with fabulous desserts and treats. This place is super cozy and inviting. They were open on Christmas and we're so glad. Definitely stop in for a boba tea and some pastries! I had the blueberry cheesecake and it was absolutely superb!
google avatar

Stanley M.

Yelp
Where else can you get a cup of coffee and a piece of cheesecake in a furniture store ? Yup, you're sitting on the merchandise. The sign say please do not lay down or sleep on their couches. Great relaxing ambiance albeit a little different from most coffee shops I've been in. They have all the popular coffee type drinks that I know nothing about, including bubble tea. They have some exotic pastries to complement your drinks as well. I liked the place and look forward to my next visit there.

Chad P.

Yelp
This is a great place to have coffee & relax. Lots of seating, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
This is a nice little boba/dessert place in the middle of downtown. For being so central, it's surprising how spacious the inside of this place is. The baba was great, the staff was nice, and there is plenty of comfortable and cute seating. It was exactly like we were looking for during the weekend.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my second review I love this Place so much I've been 3 times I got boba twice And I decided to try The taro shaved ice it is so good they give u a mini shovel to eat it with I paid the extra two dollars to get the snow bear it comes with boba and whip cream on top .The bathrooms are also very clean. They are also super quick with orders . I recommend this place very much.

Ruth B.

Yelp
Love this place, only been once but I am already dreaming of going again. Thankfully I am a local. I personally purchased two desserts for myself (I was hungry lol) the chocolate mound of mouse and the strawberry cake. Both were delicious (and tasted just as good as they looked) and like I predicted , light and not too sweet like the Asian baked goods I loved when I lived overseas. By far the strawberry "shortcake" was my fav. I wanted to get the mango cake but it was not available, next time. Also the vibe inside is so nice...there are just so many options of what to buy here to eat that I can see it's the place you keep coming back to
google avatar

Emma D.

Yelp
It's delicious, and beautiful inside. The pastries are perfect. Boba latte tea is super sweet.

Yelp
Excellent service and even better treats!Meringue Cookie, Strawberry Eclair and Caramel Cream Puff and a couple of Vanilla Lattes. All were amazing! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We stopped in for coffee and relaxation. The coffee and bubble tea were good and not overly expensive. The decor was beautiful and they were playing relaxing piano jazz. I could have stayed for hours.
