I ordered 6 slices of pies and cakes as well as a box of macaroons to hand out to my customers for appreciation. Everyone was raving about the taste and quality, including me! I will definitely be back. Veronica was the staff member to help me- she had great recommendations and was extremely friendly. The space is clean and adorable as well.

Grabbed some macarons from Sweets by Belén—so good! The raspberry one was fruity and sweet, and the little hamburger macaron (vanilla flavor!) was such a fun surprise. Super cute and really tasty. The Nutella chocolate cookie was soft and delicious.

Sweets By Belen is a small and beautiful dessert shop. While the interior decor was very captivating, what attracted my attention more was the desserts in the showcases. The colors on the desserts were bright. I was greeted warmly by the owner upon stepping into the store. She introduced the desserts to me, and I loved it that all of them were made in house. The macarons were on sale - buy 2 get 1 free. I got the Nutella, pistachio, and passion fruit flavors. There were some cute unicorn macarons too! The macaron shells were a tad too crunchy, and needed more flavors. However the macarons weren’t overly sweet, which made them easy to eat. I also got the passion fruit 3 leches cake. It was good. I loved the slight tartness from the passion fruit against the sweet cake. I would visit again to get the whole cakes, as they looked very appetizing.

The desserts are so delicious! I got a small surprise bag from them from too good to go and i loved the little cake pops they had shaped as a chic. I was also given a flan, and a cookie! I recommend this place if you love Latin desserts. Lady was so nice I'd come back for it agian. 😭💕

Belen is such an amazing, sweet person. Her work speaks for itself and the dessert are amazing !! We used her for our wedding and she blew our minds with the details. We all loved the desserts, they are authentic and delicious!! This is my go to spot from now on. Thank you for her team who brought our vision to life 🫶🏽

I came in for a tres leches cake and, although they were out at the moment, the lady kindly offered to make a fresh one if I could wait about an hour. The environment was clean and beautiful, and the service was warm and welcoming. The cake itself was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, perfectly moist, and definitely worth both the wait and the price. Highly recommend!

Love the decorations in the store. Don't miss macaroon Monday -- buy 2, get one! Perfect for someone like me who can never decide what flavor to get. I like the size too, not jumbo, but not tiny either. I will check them out the next time we need a cake or dessert for a party.

Belen makes the best sweets! I couldn't wait so I ate the Nutella macaroon in the car. Everything they make is amazing. Recently I've been obsessed with the passion fruit tres leches. It has a flavor that will keep you coming back. It's unlike other tres leches I've had. The shop remains cute and the service is always pleasant! The quality of food here is 1000% you can't go wrong with anything you get. I always pick out a few new things each time. If you want something savory don't forget the empanadas!!

This all started with a TGTG order and now I'm hooked. Picked up a surprise bag that included a slice of cake, macaron and a cookie filled with dulce de leches. That cookie was filled with crack. The end. Time goes by and I pick up another surprise bag and I buy one of their tres leches cake topped with strawberries. The bag had a cookie with dulce de leches, macaron and 2 cakesicles. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything. The cakesicles were probably my least favorite. A bit sweet for me. I am not into tres leches but saw a few posts about theirs on IG so have it a try. Best decision ever. Not kidding. So as fate would have it, my loving cousin decided to surprise me weeks later with a delivery. Valentine style cookies (chips were pink) with dulce de leches, alfajores traditional sandwich cookies, and a tres leches cake topped with chocolate shavings and dulce de leches. (She also sent me 2 empanadas - 1 beef and 1 chicken. The chicken was delicious. The beef was nice too. They were a bit salty for me but I am always low sodium or no salt - my friend tasted it and she said it was perfect) And this is LOVE. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because I don't actually like sweets much. I mostly eat Asian baked desserts bc they tend to be less sweet but everything were perfect. The service is great as well. Very pleasant. Def recommend picking up a few things from here. And again. the dulce de leches filling in them cookies will have you addicted. I warned you!

It's a cute, super vibrant bakery with delicious macarons, cakes and pastries from Perú and other Latin American countries. You can also find US favorites like cheesecake. I highly recommend you try something unique from their selection of South American items.

I heard about this place from an Instagram reel, and I finally was able to stop by! Walking in, I was quite overwhelmed by the large variety of desserts that are offered here (in a good way). The inside looks so cute, authentic, and welcoming. I tried the oreo tres leches and strawberry tres leches. I liked that they came in smaller sizes so they seem more personable. I got them to share with a group of 4, and it was honestly more than enough for all of us. The flavor was so good. I will definitely be back to try out other baked goods here! I was very impressed.

I tried the good ol flan, the tres leches and the Chantilly cake with berries and Dulce de leche. The flan was divine. Silky, smooth, rich without being overly sweet. I really enjoyed the tres leches too. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a sweet dessert spot. They give you these lovely personal cards telling the story, making it even sweeter. Go for it.

Who knew I would be able to eat my weight in sweets but I definitely can with the alfajores from here haha. The shop is quite small and definitely a to go type location but the decorations make it so fun. They sell everything from different flavored tres leches to empanadas. Specialty are Peruvian items. My favorite are the alfajor but will mix it up with a cake. It's usually busy but what I appreciate is the staff does not rush you and tells you about the desserts they offer.

Happy to discover Belen's sweets from TGTG! There is so much variety to choose from and I highly recommend a slice of her chantilly cake. It's a light sponge cake with whipped cream layered with dulce de leche and fresh fruit. There's something special about Belen's whipped cream recipe. So light and addicting. The inside of the shop is tiny but very charming with lots of pinks and florals, but be aware that they do not have a restroom for customers. Belen is so welcoming and her staff is very kind and helpful each visit. On the single occasion that I've had a problem with my order, it's been fully and quickly resolved. They really go above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer and I love that.

Found this bakery on social media and wanted to try it since the desserts looked delicious and the owner seemed to have a welcoming personality. I ordered the heart shaped Alfajores and was looking forward to trying them. When I went inside of the bakery, it was decorated very colorful and cute. Unfortunately the customer service was much different than I expected and the Alfajores tasted somewhat stale.

If you have a sweet tooth, you have to go to Sweets By Belen. It is one of the best bakeries/sweet shops in Houston. You won't regret it! Latina/Woman owned by Belen herself, this little shop right off of 59 is amazing. If you are lucky, sometimes you'll find Belen at the shop. She is the absolute sweetest. I've tried various cakes and all types of sweets here, but there is one thing that keeps me coming back. Alfajores! Just the thought of those delicious, powdery sandwich cookies makes my mouth water. No one makes them as good as Belen. They sell small little boxes of them, that are easy to take to-go. Just be warned, you may find yourself eating the entire box on the road, before you even make it home. Speaking from experience, here! Get the Pecan Alfajores. They are a beautiful mix of Texas and Latin America wrapped up together in a delicious morsel that packs a pecan punch. Great shop, good service, family owned, and delectable sweets. This is a must-go in Houston for the best desserts.

I was very pleased with service I received here. I ordered a Tres Leches cake for my daughter's birthday & it was not only pretty, but tasted great. I ordered & payed online & my cake was ready when promised. There are many other sweets that are available for purchase & I'm looking forward to trying some of her other sweets.

My coworker brought alfajor to our staff meeting. The presentation was beautiful and the alfajores were delicious!! Wonderful Peruvian dessert.

Returned to try the mango cheesecake ($7.50). It was soooo delicious - plentiful mango chunks in the cake. Fresh mango flavor. Not sickeningly sweet. The cheesecake wasn't dense at all and I easily finished the cheesecake with my friend without feeling too full or icky. Highly recommend trying it if you like mango! Also first time seeing the shop in person and it's smaller than I thought from the outside but it's decorated very cutesy!

3rd time returning customer here! I have a soft spot for family own businesses with a creative vision, and Sweets by Belen is just that. Everything inside this small shop, from the decorations to the food design, has a very personalized feel to it. The first time I even knew Sweets by Belen existed was when my girlfriend ordered a birthday cake for her friend, which I believe was the Berry Chantilly cake. At first, I thought it just looked like a regular birthday cake. However, after I took the first bite, I was instantly surprised by how complex the fruity flavor was while at the same time the cake was not overly sweet either. It's the type of cake that you don't feel tired of eating even after multiple bites. After that experience, I formerly introduced myself to Sweets by Belen by ordering a mango cheese cake slice with my girlfriend at the shop. Since then, I have come back multiple times and even brought my family here. Now, it's not a traditional cheesecake. I believe gelatin is used as an ingredient, and, thus, the texture overall was soft and delicate instead of dense and rich like a regular cheesecake. Nevertheless, it is super fresh with a strong mango flavor while still remaining not overly sweet. The cheesecake slices are a perfect summer day treat and a brilliant end to any heavy meal you may have prior. It is worthy to note that the prices at Belen can be a bit higher than you'd expect. However, I'll gladly support this business to continue making these awesome desserts!

Amazing cheesecake, macarons, great service and ambiance super sweet lady made my Mom feel super welcomed! My Mom brought us anniversary gifts for us and they taste so yum!!

Ordered the turtle cheesecake and the reindeer macaroons. First everything looked even better than the pics on the site! Served the cheesecake to 10 guests for desert. Everyone loved it! The Macaroons were adorable and the kids said they were delicious!! Definitely a gem of a bakery to find!

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Belen herself and I absolutely adored her as a human! her boutique is gorgeous and so to die for. The alfajores are the best in the city.

We ordered a few desserts to try through door dash. Everything was spectacular. The tres leches was the best I've tried as I am particular to a very soaked cake. The passion fruit cheesecake was unbelievable. The texture was more of a mousse which I preferred over a denser cheesecake and the flavor was well balanced. The alfajors were excellent too. I can't wait to go here more often.

Had an awesome experience here! I ordered a custom letter cake for a friends birthday. I had originally only needed the cake but because of the owner's great attitude and customer service upon my arrival, I decided to buy more. She recommended the mango cheesecake and alafores and WOW. She was clearly being 100% honest on her personal favorites bc these items were so SO good!!! The mango cheesecake was out of this world and that's coming from someone who doesn't care for cheesecake. The chocoflan was delicious as well, I ate this the next night and the cake was still moist even after an entire day in the fridge! The macaroons were surprisingly tasty as well! The cake was a huge hit! It was not only absolutely beautiful, but it was delicious! It was soft and fluffy (sponge cake I believe), the fruit on top was fresh, and the flowers on top were aromatic! I will definitely be back

What a find!! Sweets Belen is amazing. We ordered a tres leches cake from Belen. She personally took my order and made some modifications to it for me. My friend loves passion fruit, so Belen added passion fruit to the cake. She did an amazing job! The decoration was beautiful with passion fruit and gold dusted berries. The cake was rich and delicious and amazing in flavor and decoration. We also got some macarons of various flavors which were good and quite large. We got a dozen alfajores. They are small, heavy on the cinnamon, and soft. They weren't like ones we'd had before, but they were clearly fresh! The staff is amazing. On the phone, they were so kind and offered to speak to Belen about my passion fruit request. Belen called me back and took some time to discuss my request. When we went to pick up, the counter staff was great and so nice! The store is small but so cutely decorated! The photos online of their cakes don't lie. They can decorates cakes and make them look magnificent. This is absolutely my GO TO place for celebration cakes from now on! Flavor + decoration! WINNER!

Came in randomly and bought 6 macaroons because I had a sweet tooth. They were SO good. Perfectly made you can tell they really put effort and care into making these. Honestly larger in size than you'll see at most place but the flavors and texture when you bite into it superseded my expectations! I don't usually leave reviews but I had to because this little slice of heaven deserves 5 stars. Top favorites of the 6 were Nutella, Dulce de Leche, Passionfruit and Guava. No pictures because the macaroons didn't even make it home lol

Wow! Que riqueza! The passion fruit cheesecake is to die for. Yummmmy! I do love me some passion fruit and the tartness is so good with the uber fluffy and creamy cheesecake. I will be coming here very often so i will definitely need to join a gym soon.

Tried a beef empanada. It was alright, would consider trying the chicken one in the future. But.... OMG THE PASSIONFRUIT CHEESECAKE. This is the only other item I've tried. I've had it two separate times now. This stuff is amazing and very tart - just what I am looking for. I have been to other places that blend mango and passionfruit and are hesitant to make things more tart. I know what I'm looking for when I want more passionfruit flavor. This is the only bakery shop I've been able to find a passionfruit cheesecake (side note: I saw it only once at Xochi Sunday brunch buffet which was also delicious but it's not on the actual menu). So to my knowledge, this is the only place I can get this. Not the cheapest at $40 some but you pay for quality. I will be back. I could eat this whole thing in 1 day if I wanted to. I want to try other things too that look wonderful but my brain says that means I can't get a whole passionfruit cheesecake!

Belen created a last minute birthday cake for me. It was the best birthday cake i've ever tasted. It was a beautiful monogram cake with dolce leche filling. 10/10, would highly reccomend.

Sweets by Belen is in a strip center where finding parking can be a dangerous sport. If you're the victor on that one, the destination is worth it because Belen's little store is a very cheery place and it's packed with sugar-laden treats in various colors and shapes. I tried five different desserts over two days -- that's right, five, now don't judge me -- and I did it because the desserts I tried on the first day were so good that I was curious about a few more. I think my favorites were the 5 leches cake and the mango cheesecake. If I lived in Houston, I would definitely want to buy some of her larger and very beautiful cakes for special events. Belen knows what she's doing here and I'll be glad to stop by again when I'm in Houston.

The cakes were delicious and fresh. We got both a tres leches and flan. Belen herself was friendly and the order was exactly as I expected. There were bunch of other treats I would like to try!

Dropped by on Saturday afternoon, after seeing it pop up on my Instagram. I'm very much a sweets person so was very intrigued by this place. The store itself is in a shopping strip, the parking lot was very full when I went so I can see that being an issue for others during peak hours. Covid: they are only allowing two people at a time and requiring a mask. The place itself is very colorful and cute. I was greeted right away. They have quite a few options of pastries. They even can make custom cakes, with a heads up of course. I bought some macaroons, which I did not like. Ordered Mango, Strawberry, and Sprinkles. I'm a bit of a macaroon snob so these were not it. Flavor was off on them all and the consistency of the macaroon themselves were not what they should be. Don't recommend them. Ordered two kinds of cakes; Dulce De Leche Cheesecake and Passionfruit Cheesecake. The Dulce de Leche is more on the thicker/tougher side, was okay. The Passionfruit I would return for. It is very sweet so not for everyone but I finished the slice by myself. Prices on everything were fair.

I decided the day before my birthday that I didn't want to have a cake I wanted a Pavlova. And then I remembered that I live in Houston and very few people know what a Pavlova is. So I google searched and found a few places that supposedly carry it and I went to those places and they did not Sweets by Belen is minutes from my house and I've driven past it for years and never gone in. I popped in, and told them my story. Belen was there to help me and said that yes she had in fact made an extra Pavlova base today but it wasn't dressed. I didn't need it until the next day so I paid and scheduled pick up. It was ready when I arrived and it was gorgeous! My friends and family had never had one and it was exactly what I wanted , sweet and light like I'd remembered from my time in London but with a Texas kick of pecans and Dulce de Leche! It was truly a work of art. The shop itself is a pink candy dream and everything just looks so good, now that I've been I have to try some of the other items.

The staff is just as sweet as their cakes, actually the only thing sweeter than their baked goods! Because of its colorful sign, it stands out of the hole-in-the-wall looking plaza, literally right next to it is a dentistry and a taco place. It may not be the best place to dine-in due to its tiny size but definitely a place to pick up some desserts if you are in a decadent sweet mood, looking for something exotic, fruity, or just something homemade. Emphasis though on the decadent, sweet part. Before stopping by, my eyes were already on the lacuma cake, and because of the tempting selection I also got a 3 tres leches cup. I was warned that it was sweet due to its layers of cakw, dulche de leche, and lacuma mousse, and I can now confirm that. The lacuma tastes like a sweet pumpkin and because the mousse was already sweet, the cake could have done without the dulche de leche and benefited from something nutty or even a mango-like mousse layer. As for the 3 tres leches, who doesn't like soaked cake?! Honestly, can't go wrong. I enjoyed how it was a lot of milk to completely soak the cake with a chantilly cream on top as a nice cherry on top. You could even just do all strawberries but can see why they added mango to the mix. Great small business to support. Note that they even have a rewards program!

My husband ordered the 5 leches cake for My birthday. ** he added the '2' '5' candles The cake was delicious, so light and not too sweet. Perfect, beautiful cake.

I have to start off with saying HOW CUTE IS THIS PLACE? I got alfajores, strawberry-mango chantilly cake, the turtle cheesecake, and 3 macarons - strawberry, nutella, and cafe con leche. I got the chantilly cake because the young lady said it's the best seller and the turtle cheesecake because I am a CHOCOLATE GIRL + she said it was her favorite so that was all the convincing I needed to get it lol. Not a thing here disappointed. Actually, everything was even better than it looked - and it looked GOOD. They also had special kolas, ice cream, full size cakes, and the prettiest flowers. I almost got some flowers but I was getting way ahead of myself in this bakery. I can't wait to go back again to try something new! -and honestly get the same things again because it's SO GOOD. The girl working was also super sweet. Sweets By Belen for the win!

I'm lost for words! If you need a show stopper cake. This is the place to be! They're super detailed oriented. The cake is light and airy. I sent them a picture through Instagram and put in my request. They just made it just like the picture and I'm so impressed.

I am in love with the alfajores cookies from here. The first time I got the cookies from a grocery store and we ate almost two boxes in one afternoon. Three years later and back in Houston and I wanted more cookies. My cousins birthday party was the same weekend as my visit so his wife ordered a lacuma cake from this bakery. Naturally I had to buy more cookies when we came to pick up the cake. I bought 4 containers with the goal of taking 2 back to Colorado with me. We plowed through 2 boxes (again) in one afternoon. The cake was also gorgeous, delicious and a big hit with the party.

I love this little bakery! Belen is so sweet and so charming! A former teacher, she is living her dream of having a bakery. We tried the passion fruit cheesecake which was a lovely sweet and tart tasty treat. The slice was normal in size, not some gigantic thing that requires you to call 4 friends to help you finish it all. Must go back to try the Macarons! Great job Belen! And, if you like pink and flowers and llamas, go see this little shop that Belen decorated herself! It's adorable!

The cake turned out beautifully. It was ALMOST exactly what I asked for. My mother was so in love with the design. The cake received a lot of compliments. The flavors were delicious! However, the only negative comment I have is that the cake did not include the fruits I asked for. I asked for a strawberry mango dulce de leche cake; only mango was present. Besides that, the cake was a hit at the party.

This review is a bit overdue. I've been coming here for years and the 5 leches cake in the tray is to die for! A few months ago I had ordered two cakes for a graduation/birthday celebration and they were beautiful and I received many compliments on them. One was a lime cake and the other a highly recommended red velvet. Unfortunately the red velvet cake once cut into was dry and crumbly. I reached out to Belen a few days later and explained the situation and she was very understanding and accommodating. I loved that about her, she stands behind her product and is not afraid to admit if there has been a mistake - her customer service is excellent! I will continue to visit this establishment and look forward to eating many many more of her delicious desserts!

GO NOW ...... This Passion fruit Cheesecake is the BOMB!!! I am in love with this dessert. Also, it was a great blessing to see this cheerful little dessert shop. When you walk in you are surrounded by baskets of beautiful cheerful flowers. This shop is so cute and the dessert is Heavenly

I bought the mango cheesecake for a friend's birthday and that was the best mango cheesecake ever. The cheesecake was light and with just the perfect hint of sweetness that was not overpowering like most cheesecakes are. Belen added tons of real mango morsels it was almost like eating the fruit but better. The consistency was just right it was almost ice cream melting in your mouth. All the friends at the birthday dinner agreed and we all plan to buy more goodies from sweetsbybelen.

Sweets by Belen is awesome! A friend of mine gifted me some cake from my birthday from here so when it came time for my boyfriends birthday I knew I had to try another one of Belens cakes. This time we ordered the 5 leches cake and omg it was like nothing I've ever had before. I've been telling my friends all about it and I'll definitely order this for the next birthday we have!

I ordered more than one birthday cake from Belen. They were beautiful, fresh, and very tasty. Also, I have had the delicious empanadas, macrons, and alfajores. Furthermore, she is a delightful baker that wants her customers to enjoy her sweets.

Love this place! I live in the Woodlands and the 40 min one way drive is so worth it. The cakes are delicious. I ordered a beautiful cake for my mother it was sponge cake with home made caramel in the center and fruit. Keep up the good work!

So thankful that Yelp called attention to this business for their Sweet 16! I want to first state that I'm not a big sweets person - I feel like most places pile on the sugar and hope that people will consider that good. However, the desserts from Sweets by Belen were nothing like this. I came in with a friend, and foolishly decided that we should each get a slice and share so we have more room to try different things. We finally decided on the dulce de leche cheesecake and the flan. They also had a display of popsicles and after thorough explanation from the young lady there, I decided on the lucuma flavor as she said it was a unique fruit from Peru. We also took advantage of the yelp check in to get the alfajores. The customer service was excellent as well, with knowledgeable answers to all of my questions. The reason why I say foolishly is now I'm sitting here after finishing my half wondering where the rest of my slice is! The dulce de leche cheesecake was a perfect balance with the caramel, almost coffee-like flavor on top and the creamy, lighter cheesecake. The flan was creamy and had a good flavor as well. Overall, their dulce de leche is definitely the star of the show! The lucuma popsicle had a very unique flavor as well. She described it initially as a banana and coffee-like flavor, and some other reviews have described it as pumpkin. The texture was also grainy, kind of like blended red bean. This is definitely a spot I will visit again! If not for anything else, but to try all the cheesecake flavors and the tres leches.

During my normal commute from Sugarland to Spring, this store always caught my attention from 59. Decided to take a stop here. Came in and you can smell the cleaning products. It was too strong. They had a large variety of dessert options. A large variety. After much deliberation I went with the passion fruit cheesecake. It was rich! Like really really rich. Most places, you can't taste the passion fruit but that wasn't the case in this scenario. You could actually taste the passion fruit and it was good! I was happy to smell that they were keeping the place clean but the scent was too strong. If the scent wasn't so strong, I could see myself going back there.

Not only their products are sweet, but the people that work there are literally so SWEET!! They're friendly and treat you like a part of the family. Everything is so fresh and yummy!! Definitely a hidden gem in Houston. This location deserves more clientele!

They did wonderful work on a Berry Chantilly cake for our friends birthday. So moist, just the right amount of sweetness to it and the berries were in just perfect condition. We couldn't have been happier. "That was the best cake I've eaten in my entire life" - My 74 year old father. Can't wait to go back and try some more of your work.
