What an awesome place. I've driven by so many times without going in, I'm glad I pushed myself. This was not just another trendy coffee shop. The staff was so friendly and patient with me, and the merrchandise was culturally valuable and pretty. I ordered tiramisu oatly latte, which was delicious. And I got a brownie, which they offered to warm up. The brownie was Uber chocolatey and fudgey and delicious, not at all dry. The coffee was sweet , but I liked it. I think if you don't want sweet coffee, you can tell them less syrup or whatever. Loved the Chinese New Year glasses, so beautiful.

The coffee is so good but recently I been ordering and coffee is missing. A few days ago I got only half a cup of coffee and it was medium size And the bag is sealed. This is the 2nd time.

We love this place. The dreamy coffee is our fav and I just got their cinnamon one also and it was great. The service is always wonderful also and my son and husband love their food. Cheese cake especially but their egg sandwiches on the bagels are great too. Ohh I also love their strawberry smoothie I forget what they call it but really fresh and tastes great. Everyone there is so nice too. Cool art on the wall also. Sign up for their points system it gives some of the best rewards I’ve seen at places too. We get growlers on ice coffee to have at home because they’re not too close to go daily so they have that too which I love. Cheers!

I went today to get a green tea. The server grabbed the tea bag and filled the cup up with hot water from the sink. From the sink! I paid $4.08 for this. That's a premium price. When I said something, the other server overheard and told the other to get the hot water from the black pump canister. If this is the quality of a tea I cant imagine what other shortcuts they take! Sad, I will not be going there again!

Employees are so kind and quick! Beverages and food are so delicious, I always get the french vietnamese iced coffee and it's so good!!! I love how customizable the breakfast sandwiches are and the pretzel melts are so yum. great atmosphere to do work in the cafe as well :]

Sweetwaters Coffee in Smithtown has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The space has a cozy, creative feel! The artwork on the walls adds a personal touch and gives the café a relaxed, inspiring vibe. It's the kind of place that makes you want to open your laptop, sip your drink, and settle in for a productive afternoon. I ordered the sugar-free brown sugar latte, and it was absolutely fantastic. It had just the right balance of rich espresso flavor and smooth sweetness...not overly sugary, but still comforting and flavorful. You can tell they really care about the quality of their drinks here. The fact that they offer sugar-free options is such a thoughtful touch for those who want to enjoy something indulgent without all the sugar. They also offer dairy free alternatives. They also have a great selection of baked goods and pastries to go along with your coffee...everything from muffins and cookies to croissants and other treats that pair perfectly with their lattes and teas. It's nice to have something fresh and tasty on the side, especially if you're stopping in for breakfast or a mid-day snack. One of the things I love most about Sweetwaters is the seasonal menu. They have creative fall drinks that bring all the cozy flavors of the season; perfect for chilly mornings or afternoon pick-me-ups. It's clear the staff takes pride in keeping the menu interesting and fresh. The staff themselves deserve a special mention. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely kind. You can tell they enjoy being there, which adds so much to the overall experience. The music was also a fun surprise...hearing "The Time Warp" from The Rocky Horror Show while sipping my latte definitely made me smile, and the rest of the playlist kept the energy light and enjoyable without being distracting. Another bonus: there's a drive-thru, which makes it super convenient for busy mornings when you want great coffee without leaving your car. All in all, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea in Smithtown checks every box -- delicious drinks, tasty baked goods, cozy atmosphere, great music, friendly service, and a creative environment. Stopped in for a cold brew and got the Dirty Cold Brew. Tasted excellent! It was a cute little coffee spot and they also have a drive-thru. Our service was quick and definitely will be back to try more items on the menu!

Always love a good coffee shop. They do run it like a starbucks in here. Maybe they are trying to franchise. They have most of the treats packed in plastic. The carrot cake, pecan cake and other treats were all pretty good. It was a spacious place too. I would come back.

**Drive-thru** immediate bonus factor. Although I actually went inside for the full experience. The counter people were friendly and I was immediately addressed. They have everything a traditional coffee shop offers and more. I got an iced caramel macchiato and a warmed cinnamon scone, both perfection. A variety of art lines the walls, in a bright space you could easily nestle in a chair to study or chit chat with some board games available. The shop also offers wi-fi. Would definitely go back to try some more of their menu. They also have an app with full menu for mobile ordering.

Cute spot. Lots of options. Parking lot entrance was a bit confusing only because of the drive thru entrance. Ginger lemon iced tea was the perfect amount of spice. Zucchini bread was moist and flavorful. Barista was super friendly!

I recently tried this coffee shop and, unfortunately, didn't love the coffee. It tasted very burnt, and my iced caramel latte was definitely lacking caramel. However, the employees were very friendly, and the drive-through line went super quick.

As a girl who likes her espresso mixed with other things, I think I've found my go-to place! I appreciate how there is a wide range of coffee drinks, from your classic lattes to cold brew drinks, and frapps to teas. They also have a drive through which makes it super convenient too! The French Viet au Lait featured a pretty strong viet coffee with sweet condensed milk. I appreciated how it wasn't too sweet and had a good balance between the coffee and milk. The Dirty Cold Brew packs a lot of caffeine but it sure tastes good! After combining cold brew and espresso, they also add in chocolate and a splash of cream. It almost tastes like a mocha but packed with more coffee. The paper straws here were surprisingly of good quality and stayed intact for a good several hours! The store itself was pretty quiet with a good amount of indoor and some outdoor seating. Lighting was good and walls actually feature various artwork (seems like for purchase). The tables were really clean with frequent outlets between them. I can definitely see myself getting some work/studying done here when I come back. Staff were also polite.

Always such a pleasure coming to this coffee shop. Everyone is so friendly, they make you feel warm and welcome. I have been coming here for several years since one of my son started going to The Little Gym few minutes away. Very kid friendly! Just stop here yet again on my way to the storage unit to get what I need to move up to our new house in Connecticut. I will be very sad to leave this wonderful place behind. Luckily, we plan on coming back to Long Island often. Hopefully be able to revisit soon.

Just ordered from here for delivery The breakfast sandwiches were tasty, but a but soggy. The biscuits weren't flakey. Food was definitely edible, I did eat it all. I didnt get the bacon, but was told it couldn't have been crispier Coffee was also on point. I would order again. My friend's coffee was too sweet

Nice little coffee shop, but with plenty of seats. It has a drive-through option for convenience if you need. Also many different variety of coffee drinks you can try.

Well hey there Sweetwaters coffee. What's this all about said my wife and I said to ourselves passing by. We pulled in looking to get our caffeine fix in for the evening, and was intrigued by this place. Not sure why we haven't noticed it before, but eager to try by happen chance as we were driving by. It's got a drive through; check plus there. But we went inside. Glad we did! Super relaxed, clean, and soooo glad it wasn't Starbucks. Noticed the local artwork which was really nice to see. Nice decor, inviting, plenty of seating. I kept it simple, got the house blend. One because I just wanted straight coffee, and two because I wanted to judge the coffee by itself as compared to yes Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. I frequent D&D so I'm really comparing it to that. Not even close! Sweetwaters where have you been! Great cup of Java my good sir. Had the fresh brew going, temperature on point (yes that matters), wasn't weak, and not too strong. Got the right amount of bada bing! Wife got the Crème Caramel. I tried it, too sweet for my taste but right up her alley! And as such she's making her own comparisons to like coffees and she was very happy with the result. Saw a few board games on some shelving. Guess you got stuff to do if your planning on chillin for a bit. That's cool. Staff was nice, welcoming, and quick to get your order. They've got assorted Teas, bakery and pastry items which goes very nicely with your coffee and tea drinking pleasures. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. I wouldn't hang out in a Starbucks. Definitely not my style, and D&D is more of a grab and go place for me. Sweetwaters is a place you can very comfortably sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee, and spend time with friends or what have you. I highly recommend ! Nice job SW.

Food was great. Had a breakfast sandwich with a cold brew coffee both times I visited. Seating is limited but they do have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Plus they have a drive thru. Will visit again.

Plenty of parking, lots of seating that never got too crowded. Strong, free wifi as well, so it was a great place to get work done. However, the music choices weren't the most conducive for focusing/didn't give coffee shop vibes, although they were fun songs. Single stall bathroom. Reasonably priced menu. There's also a drive through! Would add to my rotation of study spots.

Great coffee and food! The space is spacious and they even display local art for sale. My drink and food came out at a reasonable time. They even have a drive thru! Friendly staff, I even joined their rewards for points.

A great, local coffee shop with really nice service and a range of hot and iced coffees. It can be a bit on the pricey side but they do offer some great deals each month along with a rewards club. I'm a fan of the iced mocha and iced coffees but their best items are probably the food, especially the breakfast sandwiches and the desserts. The chocolate chip cookie is terrific and I love the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. They have a drive through along with seating indoors with some local art on display as well as outdoors with a few metal tables and chairs along with umbrellas.

Haven't been here in over two years. Iced decaf was watered down. Very disappointed. Will think twice about revisiting in near future.

Well I love my coffee and it seems like years past that I enjoyed either hot ..cold or iced coffee. Since living a vegan life the taste is in the creamer... and half and half hasn't been in my life for decades...now my poison is Starbucks only only because I found Silks Soy Creamer plain )!well they do use silk vanilla soy plant based milk) As my new addiction....but SB is expensive and not all the worthy.... So across the way I saw this place and passed it up many times.... And for good reason. Their coffee is really bad. And no soy creamer And only 1 size for iced coffee oh no I'm not fallen for this...! Yeah not so good .....

Such a cute coffee shop. they had great coffee options and breakfast options. The guy that helped us was very welcoming and very nice and answered all of our questions. I do like that there was a drive-through. I will definitely be coming back

This is the first place that introduced me to iced Vietnamese café au lait. The drink is made with French Chicory (dark roast) coffee and sweetened condensed milk. Now I make it at home by using some of the one pound bag of ground French Chicory (dark roast) coffee that I purchased at the store. Sweetwaters sells its own brand of various coffee beans for $14.95 per one pound bag. Today I ordered a cup of iced cocoa cappuccino. It was good, but I do not like the drink as much as I do the iced Vietnamese café au lait. Baked goods are available for sale. My favorite is the coffee cake. The store has a drive through, which I seldom use because I prefer ordering in the store. The staff is friendly and prepares drinks at lightening speed. Customers can sign up for The Sweetwaters Club like I did and accumulate points with each purchase. I get a free drink on my birthday and coupons in my email. Free parking is available in an average-sized lot in front of the store. I definitely recommend this shop to coffee lovers.

Service was great and the menu is quite extensive! Zucchini brownie was moist and not overally sweet. Happy with my experience as I was looking to grab something casually during my stay in Long Island.

A classic coffee shop, but WITH matcha. My favorite part was that it had a drive thru! They also have a 12oz pup-cup (free), which is 3x the size of Starbucks! Their quick eats were just what you would want to enjoy with your hot / cold drinks.

Sweet Waters has amazing food! Good coffee with whipped cream and just had part of one yesterday! Bridget brought it for me! It's high in sugar so I have to limit my intake since I am diabetic!

Just keeping it real, I've never had a great cup of drip-coffee here. Can't speak to all of the other offerings, I got a bakery item once and it looked way better than it tasted. Don't get me wrong, everything is fresh, the atmosphere is great, it's young and there's music and power outlets/USB charging everywhere, it seems like a great place to meet/collaborate/get some work done. I want to love this place so much, it's around the corner from me and I want them to succeed...but every drip coffee I've ever bought there has been like 1,000°F and when I can finally taste it, it's just not very good. 4-stars for atmosphere and service, I'm not looking to crush a place, these are people trying to make a living, but if you're looking for a great cup of regular drip-coffee, this ain't it.

Typically, I like to try a place more than once prior to writing a review BUT........ BEST COLD BREW I have ever had! Ordered a "Straight Up" with a little sugar. It was both smooth and potent, the perfect combination. I opted for the drive thru for the convenience factor. (There was plenty of parking available on the property.) The menu was large & had enough description of each item. They had a small offering of breakfast food items & baked goods. The employee that helped me was friendly & knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend if you are in search of the perfect black iced coffee.

What a beautiful coffee cafe! I usually take Edgewood road home so when I passed the Sweetwaters Coffee sign, I quickly pulled into the parking lot to try some java love. There is a drive thru but by not going inside you'll miss the beauty of the Sweetwaters Cafe. The walls are adorned with art from local artists. Also, there is a shiny, new espresso machine front and center. Walking to back, there are some very nice looking cakes and pastry on display (As well as the calories listed, 700 calories for a piece of chocolate cake?!) The menu board has all their coffee and tea drinks. They had something that looks really good, they take their cold brew and put it in a cup with chocolate syrup? That sounds deelish! Today, I want a cold drink with no sugar so I had a cold brew over ice. Sweetwaters Coffee makes a very good cold brew. There are lots of syrups to add to customise your coffee. This morning, I stopped in with my wife. They have a house blend brewing, I chose two house blends to go. Second time here and another tasty brew. Just a couple of things to point out about Sweetwaters Coffee. WiFi is free and available, ask the barista for the password. There is a loyal customer rewards, you enter your number on the ipad and it tallys up your purchase for a free beverage. It also knows to give you a free birthday coffee?? Nice job Sweetwaters Coffee. Sweetwaters Coffee is a large cafe serving some great coffee, teas and pastries. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Easy parking , clean space, nice staff and GOOD COFFEE! I liked my special iced hazelnut or whatever complex latte I had with oat milk. I would totally come back here and try more items on the menu!

It's alright, nice place but both times I've been here the iced latte is not cold enough and ends up being watery and lukewarm pretty quickly

Great coffee!! Very wide selection and I feel like they know what they're doing with the drinks. All very tasty. The pastry options are there- not the most appetizing but good! The inside is a bit narrow and small but overall the vibe is very nice in this cafe. Had a great time. We got the vietnamese latte and it was so tasty! Could've used a bit more milk, and their large is LARGEEEEE! I couldn't finish half of my drink because I had underestimated.

Unfortunately they don't have many tea options but I like this place especially since it has a drive through! It makes ordering really convenient

Not gonna lie, I dig this place. Similar to Starbucks but definitely higher quality. Allow me to use my big words when I say, it has an eclectic menu filled with international varieties and coffeehouse staples. A pumpkin latte I actually adore, and a Thai Tea that kills a craving. Also really great pastries to go along with your drink. Although its a chain, I think its a welcome addition to the coffee scene on LI. Hopefully it sticks around for a while!

It's giving local Starbucks- in the best way. The shop setup is just like a Starbucks shop with a drive thru, outdoor patio area, and seating inside. Nothing special, some nice art on the walls though. The staff was friendly. They had a good selection of baked goods, desserts and pastries. I noticed they use Monin syrups. I got the Dirty cold brew- basically and chocolatey cold brew, and a ham, egg, & cheese on a croissant. The coffee was good! The coffee itsself is earthly and had a rich flavor, I would probably have preferred it without the chocolate syrup in it! The breakfast sandwich was surprisingly really good, the croissant was so flaky and yummy. I also got a pup cup for my dog and it was huge! Overall, I would suggest to go here over Dunkin or starb!

I'm updating my review after giving this place a few months to iron out the kinks. After my first review, I was contacted by ownership and offered a chance to come in for a free drink to give them a second chance. I decided not to accept, waited a few months, then came back to ensure it was a fair review, no bias, no freebies, nothing. I'm happy to say that the coffee drink I got, the Dragon Eye, was MUCH better and exactly what I envisioned with the use of sweetened condensed milk. My son was with me and got a brownie from the case that was warmed up and out of this world. I decided to stay and my coffee was served in a real ceramic mug.....that enhances the flavor so much in my opinon, and it was delicious and worth every penny. Bonus....on my receipt, it said if I came back later that day for another drink during a specific time period, the drink would be half off. So guess what I did?? Yep, I came back and tried the cold brew coffee.....another winner!! Given that this place turned it around for me and I always see them promoting things in the community, live music, coffee with a Cop, etc, they get a revised rating from me of 5 stars!! Keep up the good work, Sweetwaters, you've turned me into a fan.

Nothing special. With so many great coffee shops in the area, they really need to step up their game. Not much flavor and expensive for a regular mocha latte. The staff was super friendly though and the shop was very clean.

As I am writing this review, I am craving another drink from this charming coffee/tea shop. We have tried a few different drinks, different varieties, and have loved them all. Sometimes it can be hard to stray from a favorite drink or a favorite coffee spot, but this is well worth the drive. The service is always super friendly, and very sweet. I love the Thai iced tea, and the frozen strawberry lemonade hits the spot on a hot summer day. We have also tried the cold brew, and it was smooth and delicious. The first time we ever visited, I remember the barista being very patient and helpful with us while we decided on our drinks. That was appreciated, and I will be back soon!

An awesome coffee/tea place, great atmosphere and there's even a drive thru if you weren't ready to go inside yet. Their cappuccinos are really delicious and their indoor seating I felt safe in too. Even though I don't live in smithtown, I will be back for sure! Thanks for a yummy coffee, great service and a clean atmosphere.

I stopped here on my way to an appointment and had some extra time. I used the drive thru and ordered the 32oz dirty cold brew and the spinach and feta pretzel. Both were delicious! It was nice to eat something that didn't have blatant freezer burn or microwave flavor (covid messed up my taste buds ). The coffee was PERFECT. I hate overly sweet coffee and this was exactly the right amount of sweetness and the coffee flavor was still the star of the show. I will definitely be back!! The icing on the cake was the employee telling me there's a rewards program. Great service on top of great food and coffee!!

It's a very clean and frankly beautiful establishment. However, ordering a cold brew "straight up" was slightly disappointing. I am unsure if it's a low ratio with their cold brew, but it strikes me as very very weak- almost watery even ordered with light ice. Disappointing.

This place has quickly become my go-to for my afternoon coffee pick-me-up. Between their delicious cold brews (the dirty cold brew with chocolate is my fav) and the seasonal lattes I'm hooked. Pair that with the super interactive and kind staff who are always willing to make helpful suggestions, I have no reason to go anywhere else. It's also extremely clean inside

I just bought two Thai Ice Teas and they are delicious! In addition to this, we ordered two coffees, and they are equally as tasty! We went in the drive-through, but we didn't have to wait long at all for 4 mouthwatering and visually aesthetic drinks. Overall this was a pleasurable coffee/special drink run, and I do plan on going back soon!

We came to Long Island for a day and on our way to the ferry we decided to stop by a local coffee shop. I ordered ginger and lemon tea and my husband ordered a matcha latte . Usually a tea is typically clean and healthy but they seem to use a lot of sugar in their drinks. I didn't expect the tea to be so sweet. It is a really nice place but hopefully they make some adjustments to the beverages.

Came here to study and it was perfect! The food was delicious and they can make a lot of the food dairy free! I'm obsessed with the apple cider chai tea latte. I love that every table has several outlets so you can do work and the drive through is also amazing.
