The Best New Cocktail Bars in London, January 2023 | Eater London

"The third Swift in the capital has poetically migrated south for the winter, crossing the Thames to open on Borough High Street. It follows the above/below formula of Soho, with a menu of lauded classics — including a devilish Irish coffee — on the ground floor, and a “back pocket” menu of cocktails designed to reflect the bounty of nearby Borough Market downstairs." - James Hansen

The Best Martinis in London, Cocktails From Dukes to the Connaught Bar | Eater London

"This new outpost of the Swift family is a cosier version of Soho, but still with all the elegance. Upstairs is the aperitivo bar, with seasonal drinks — the Pirouette on the main list has martini vibes. But the downstairs bar is the real treat, small and intimate with the best seat in the house at bar, where one should order a Golden Hide. This is actually a fairly low in alcohol, with tequila, brown butter and mead — so martini purists will have strong feelings — but it hits all the right notes: clear presentation of the spirit, a soft mouthfeel (that vermouth gives) and a crisp, although slightly sweet finish. Swift’s Soho outpost does an excellent take on another martini in the Perfect Manhattan (don’t @ me, it’s a martini!), and all its bars make exceptional dry gin martinis with a twist." - Anna Sulan Masing

It was a wonderful experience!!!! The mixologist was an absolute expert, very savvy about the liquors offered in house and great knowledge of other cocktails not offered in the menu. Mesmerized with everything set on the table from the decor to the wonderful balsamic mixed nuts. A true spectacle for the cocktail lover. No doubt, will be back.

Delicious and ingenious cocktails upstairs at Swift! Fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable barmen. Very reasonable prices too! Recommend booking online.

This place came on recommendation from someone in the trade. We didn’t have a reservation but they found us a space at the bar, which was perfect. It’s dimly lit and very well decorated. Someone has clearly put a lot of effort into creating a slightly prohibition but slick atmosphere. Good job! We had a couple of cocktails off the menu plus some classics. The two cocktail bartenders were friendly, accommodating and produced some fabulous cocktails, visually appealing and tasty! We were also impressed with their large block of ice which they chisel away for the drinks. If I were to make one observation is that they didn’t use a fine strainer so the margarita had little shards of floating ice. I’m being fussy but it’s a pet hate. Otherwise fantastic place. Highly recommend! The Irish coffee looked very yummy but we didn’t try.

Great atmosphere. The downstairs whiskey bar is my favourite, with a cocktail menu highlighting areas of south London. My favourite cocktail is the Concordia. A little pricey, but worth it for bespoke cocktails and good vibes!

Ushered to the downstairs bar, we ordered two off menu but classic cocktails. Both quite boozy but neither correctly made. An espresso martini with no coffee taste (and chunks of ice), a dirty martini that was sweet. It's a shame, the bar gives off an upmarket vibe with an atmosphere to match. The quality of the service and actual cocktails don't adhere. There's plenty of cocktail bars in London with not only a unique cocktail list but also the ability to construct a classic cocktail of the highest standard, this isn't one of them, go elsewhere.

Okay, I think I’m just in LOVE with London! Emily and Greg were AMAZING. Taught us about shaving ice and was VERY informative. You’re going to hear about their Irish coffee and speaking as a non-coffee drinker, it was DELICIOUS! THANK Y’ALL!!

So confused by this place. The upstairs looked great, but swiftly walked downstairs to the dark dungeon of a basement where two different tables were sat snogging (?). Cocktails weren’t all that but olives were great. Would have been so happy to pay the price if the cocktails reflected it. So incredibly disappointed, could have been great.

Go to Swift in Soho instead of this one. The female server’s attitude was unbelievably poor, and the male bartender’s tone was downright unpleasant. What a very disappointing experience —came here in a good mood but ended up facing some completely uncalled-for, discriminatory treatment. Never coming back.
