Open daily. Large parking lot. No waiting. Nice interior vibe. Our server was the best, so kind, helpful and attentive to all her patrons- I wish I could remember her name. My husband had the 2 meat plate: perfect tender, flavorful and moist brisket and pulled pork. I had the best ribs with a beautiful smoke ring, tender, flavorful and moist as well. The mac n cheese was Amazing!! Loved the collard greens and baked beans too.

WOW, JUST WOW! Pictures are the nachos, 1lb pulled pork, and a 4 sides platter. The full nachos was the most generous portion ive ever seen. The sides were flavorful to say the least and so been fresh. The greens, corn casserole, hash and rice, and Mac n cheese are top notch! Grab a local beer on tap too. They are proud military supporters so grab that discount too- you deserve it! Thank you for supporting our military and serving up some damn good bbq!

Everything about this place is great EXCEPT for the food! The drinks are amazing, the staff is very friendly and courteous, but the food leaves much to be desired. I ordered a brisket and I felt as thou it was all fat! That’s was a major bummer, but I decided to keep it and not a big deal of it. Then the desert came and my banana pudding was FULL of whipped cream! I was so disappointed! They may as well rename that dish whipped cream with cookies! I ordered 2 of them too and at $9 bucks a piece I feel cheated! Check my photos for proof, it’s not just a top layer of whipped cream, it’s all the way throughout!

Alex was our server. Out of this world. Nice, attentive, and HONEST. We overtipped (we meant to leave 28%) and he told us. Rare in this world! The food is ALWAYS phenomenal. I had the side platter - Mac n cheese, collard greens, pickled vegetables and grits (so I could have something to put the Sweet Red sauce on). SO good! It’s a lot of food. We had the pork rind appetizer with Tabasco honey and bleu cheese. It could feed a table of 10. Hubs got the Big Nasty - brisket, queso, jalapeño. He was happy!

Swig & Swine in Mount Pleasant is one of my go-to spots whenever I’m craving great BBQ and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. I always order The Big Nasty burger—hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s juicy, flavorful, and packed with smoky goodness. I’ve tried this burger at every Swig & Swine location, and it never disappoints. The quality and consistency are always top-notch. The staff here are friendly, and the laid-back vibe makes it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends!!

Ordered takeout for Christmas Eve dinner. They were closing at 3pm, so we called ahead and asked for a pickup time of 12:30pm. That apparently didn't mean anything because they didn't start packing till we got there and still had to wait 30 minutes. Food was hit or miss. Some things are great, while others not so much. Ribs were tough and chewy and hard to get the meat off the bone. The sausage had mixed feedback. Some liked it, while others hated it. The pulled pork was dry, but made better by one of their many BBQ sauces. The brisket was delicious. Mac n Cheese, and Beans were also very good. Overall, this wouldn't be my first choice for southern barbecue in the greater Charleston area, but certainly gets the job done. Given the busyness of the holiday season, some things can be given a pass, and could be worth another shot. Next time we'll try and dine in, instead of takeout.

Really good time. Our waitress, my apologies, I forgot her name but her service remains the main reason for post. She was amazing 👏🏽 😍 ❤️ 💖 💕. Her recommendations were spot on. The Ginger beer 🍺 mixed drink thingy was delightful 😊. We had, kid's meal tenders and Mac, it was ok but everything else was really good. 2 meat plate with, Ribs and Turkey, sides Corn pudding and Slaw (mayo). 3 meat plate with, 1/2 smoked chicken, sausage (1 link, cut), wings with blue cheese crumbles. Sides, pickled mixed vegetables (okra, collard greens, Cucumbers, red peppers) and collard greens. The smoked chicken was delicious, moist, seasoned and perfectly smoked! The ribs were beef and meaty, again smoked to perfection 🥰 💞 😋. The corn pudding was great too, even the Collards were on point! This place is A must try! Some of the best smoked meats I've had.

I've always been a fan of Swig & Swine, but had never been to this location over at Shipyard Park. It was a gorgeous day so we grabbed a table on the patio and ordered some frozen cocktails. I feel like I often get the same things at S&S so we went wild and ordered the family platter... for two people! This way we got to try ALL the meats and few sides as well. For sides we did baked potato salad, corn pudding, and beans with brisket... I would say the corn pudding was the star but they were all good. For meats, you get them all so here's my breakdown... Pulled Pork - very good and a great way to try the different sauces. There's a lot of meats though so I kept moving. Turkey - I've had this before and it's a major sleeper. nobody gets excited about turkey when you have this whole list, but it's worth getting excited about. Beef Brisket - Very good, but I was left wanting more! Brisket is the star of the bbq show and I know it's pricey, but it was the smallest portion of meal. I would rather slim down some of the other meats for a larger portion of brisket. Pork Belly - Very good flavor, but ours had some extra fatty/chewy pieces. The portion that wasn't that way had great flavor, but at the end I think this is what we had the most left over. Sausage - Good but also similar to other places. Ribs - Excellent... we were fighting over the ribs and most excited to go for those when we had leftovers. Chicken Wings - I don't think I ever had their wings before and they were so good. Definitely a sleeper item as well. These are a must have! All in all, the family platter is a great deal and we were dining off it for days after. The thing I love about this location too is that Shipyard Park is right on the water so it's really pretty and across the parking lot there is a legit soft serve place. Even though I love S&S desserts (hello chocolate pecan pie), I had to go get a cone to check it out for myself.

By far the best food and service that we had on this vacation. The servings are plentiful. They are willing to let you sample any of the sides before you chose what you want to order. If we lived here, this would be a go-to spot for us

A quick drive up 41 to DELICIOUSNESS!! Our first time at this Swig n Swine and worth the drive. We will come again. Very quiet on a Saturday night. Abbey was the perfect server. Very attentive and aimed to please. The food was SO GOOD. The Pork Belly, Brisket and Turkey were my absolute favorites. I got the Corn Pudding and just a taste of the Baked Potato salad and Hash n Rice. We even had enough LEFTOVERS for another meal. Plenty of handicap parking. Nice view if your brave enough to sit out in the cold!! And on the way out I mentioned to my daughter that I meant to order the Nutter Butter Pie... oh well. I walked to the car and looked at Detyens building. She comes walking out with MY PIE!! I had to take a bite on the way home. OMG YUMZ!!

It is worth the drive for a nice dinner. Located at the old Deytens Shipyard it's a great view during the day but pleasant as well at night. We arrived late and they accommodated us all the same. Pleasantly surprised with the generous portion sizes. That potato salad is killer. I'd drive a bit just for that and the pulled pork alone! The smoked turkey was great too. Nice and juicy. Good gluten free options as well! Solid Arnold Palmer to boot!

We enjoy hitting up S&S for their family platter. This works out great for us because we can eat off the leftovers for a day or two after. Always a great plate of smoke.

First time coming and it did not disappoint. I loved the variety of all the bbq sauces. The potato salad was really good and the pork sandwich but not crazy about the collards. They had a sweet taste to them I wasn't crazy about.

The 3 meat plate that we shared was quite tasty. We tried the 1/2 smoked/fried chicken, boneless smoked turkey slices, and brisket. Service was very good, thanks to our waitress that was so accommodating. We explained that this was our first time dining with you, so she explained the menu options thoroughly, and then provided customer feedback on popular items which helped us narrow down our eventual selections. The Brunswick Stew was definitely a different spin on this popular North Carolina dish, and the spicy kick was sort of addicting. Unfortunately, this side was strangely served in a cardboard tray, and was barely more than half full, so while this side dish was quite good, the value of the selection waned due to a meager portion served. The coleslaw was cold, crisp, and perfectly sauced making it a great accompaniment to the barbecue. The chicken that I believe is both smoked and then quick fried and dry seasoned was quite tasty. The smoked turkey was moist and flavorful. The one slice of brisket that we shared was tender, but didn't seem to hit the spot. Considering we had just 1/2 a slice each, and we normally save that meat for last, maybe that wasn't enough to fairly evaluate that particular item after all the other flavorful dishes we had tried. We would definitely return, but I think the parking lot with a lack of adequate parking, (shared with a ballpark) and a very uneven grade with large potholes, will force us to try another location in the Charleston area. The restaurant was not very busy at the time, but barely any parking was available in this shared lot. I have to wonder if this parking setup is seriously affecting the amount of business this restaurant receives, and whether another location would provide a better outcome. I understand how the ballpark provides the possibility of captive customers already onsite, but the length of a ballgame could be detrimental to keeping seats filled inside your restaurant. The lack of a paved lot, and available spots to park, could be keeping customers at bay. The few people that were in the restaurant and left, walked straight to their vehicle. Just because people are visiting the ballpark, doesn't mean that they love barbecue, or are planning on eating barbecue prior to the game starting, or after the game ends. If I owned this restaurant, I would be concentrating on acquiring my own paved parking area that is connected to the paved entrance, but partitioned off and monitored to insure ballpark traffic does not steal my livelihood, only adds to it! Food for thought!

S&S is a favorite of the family especially during football season. We have always orders the Family Platter because it provides a wide veriety of meats. Something for everyone. Sauces are tasty and they give you plenty Wife says you have to get the pork rinds w pimento cheese. She doesn't even like pork rinds. Daughter gave a shout out from other room for the Mac n cheese. The corn pudding is as close to home made as I've had. We have not eaten there but the place looks fun. Wife's review is "for someone who does not really like meat I like theirs". If there was one point I would make is I find the meats a little dry. You need the sauce. Wife says I'm nuts and it is perfect. You make your own call. If you like this kind of food you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try. Employees have always been really nice and helpful.

We've eaten at this location and the restaurant in Summerville and keep coming back because the food is consistently good! I got the two meat platter this time which was brisket, pulled pork and a side of coleslaw and corn pudding. Love the brisket and I love trying all the different sauces with the pulled pork. My friend got something called the big nasty I believe. The sandwich was ginormous. It was overstuffed with a ton of meat! My husband got a sausage dog with potato salad. Very tasty potato salad. My son got chicken fingers with Mac & cheese. He enjoyed his food but ate half of my brisket. Always an enjoyable meal here. We like to come early on the weekend to beat the rush. Parking can get crazy when baseball is going on.

I saw Anthony's post earlier this week about His Prime Rib Special on Sundays at four O'clock so I drove out 41 and sat myself up at the bar and met Chris the BaHe hooked me up with some amazing sides and the prime rib was absolutely delicious! In fact, I can't think of anything that we have ever ordered at any of his locations that wasn't just absolutely fabulous. Great food! Great service! And Great fun loving people!!

Anthony does an awesome job with the barbecue as his team is trained and credentialed. Our server Delaney rocks ps. The happy hour $5.00 pulled pork sandwich is awesome and a great value.

AMAZING, WILL ABSOLUTELY RETURN. Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), we got pork rinds with pimento cheese and the family platter. This fed us for dinner, and everyone for lunch the following day. The pork rinds were still crackling as they came out and lasted us as snacks for 3 days. The family platter was amazing, everything perfect, something for everyone. Don't sleep on the pork belly, was a tremendous surprise on the platter.

So far, Swig and Swine has delivered the best barbeque I have tasted in Charleston. I know there are others out there, but both times I have come to Swig and Swine, they have not disappointed. The chicken wings are mind-blowing, and sliced turkey and brisket are just as outstanding. Everything we have tried on the menu has been fantastic. It is hard to find a good and consistent BBQ location; Swig and Swine does just that! Enjoy getting the meat sweats!

Oh man I love this place. I always enjoy the chicken sandwich and the corn pudding. Oh how I love corn pudding. Not bad prices either. Yum.

So good! Huge portions and amazing sides. Recommend the smoked turkey, Mac & cheese and potato salad...with a beer! Cute indoor and outdoor areas!

Awesome ribs and baked beans and turkey! 4 sauces to choose from. Good music playing on the jukebox. Slurp down a few beers and out on in less than an hour. Service was good. Highly suggest.

I've eaten at swig and swine for many years but I took a hiatus for a few since I moved away. Since I was in the area I stopped by this location and was extremely disappointed in the food quality and service. We stopped in at 4:30 pm and it wasn't busy, with the exception of the local Firemen - hats off to them for their dedication and service. The two of us were sat down by another couple and the waitress took our drink order and then came back for the food order. I had the pick three, sausage, turkey, and pulled pork my wife had just the brisket plate. We overheard The couple next to us mention they would order another drink and then order. We waited for ever to get our food that the couple ordered their food 20 minutes after ours and got there's before ours. The waitress did somewhat apologize but did nothing about it. When I did get my plate I got brisket instead of the turkey and I could never get my waitress attention. The food was very cold and the service sucked. It wasn't very busy so I'm not sure why we got treated horribly. I've eaten here a few times in the past and each time it got worse. I'm not sure why I left a two star but maybe because they offer a military discount.

We have been coming to Swig&Swine Mt Pleasant location for the past 3 years. The BBQ is the best in town and the sides are delicious as well. Especially, I their pickled vegetables. Service is very attentive, the selection of draft beer is huge. Decor is charming. Please see the photo attached.

The server ( I believe her name was Jasmine) was super sweet and friendly and attentive. The hush puppies were good. I don't believe there is much of anything which is healthy on the menu... but we took out of town family for Charleston BBQ! It was a hit!!!

Delaney was our server and has been a few times before as we wait for our son to finish practice. She is sweet and diligent. We always enjoy having her as our server

Went in for lunch, and the Wednesday special was 50% off wings. It was beautiful weather, so we sat outside. I got wings and a side of beans and brisket. The beans and brisket had great flavor, but they could have been warmer. The wings all had the same dry rub, so I would have appreciated if the half I got with cilantro lime sauce had been tossed instead of just drizzled on top. The staff did a great job, and my drink was never empty.

The food was delicious and excellent. Some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. Prime brisket melt in your mouth and the wings best I have had. The atmosphere is electric (it's Friday night) plus next to the shipyard recreation center and I believe a couple games happening. The staff friendly, professional and busy. My waitress Abbey was amazing, made me feel right at home. I will be back again and I recommend this to anyone visiting the Mount Pleasant SC area.

The worst wings I ever had anywhere. We had the dry rub over cooked 12 piece. Mac & bland cheese and tasteless coleslaw. The burger was good but none of the previous reviewed burgers have anything to worry about. The best thing was the server. A lady from Boston. A noisy business so be prepared.The deserts looked like they were a package product. My guest liked the coconut pie. It was a mini pot pie sized item. I took half the wings home but trashed them.

Bless these people for dealing with hangry baseball parents like us during tournaments at Shipyard Park. Located just outside of the park, this is a legit BBQ restaurant with outstanding BBQ and sides. Considering the rush of people that they get before and after games, they do a great job of getting the food out quick and hot. Everything that I tasted was fantastic...pulled pork, Mac & Cheese, sausage, smoke wings...go big with the sampler and get a lot of everything. It's also a great place to have some adult beverages before or after a game, although I was coaching and could not partake.

Absolutely love their BBQ. The chicken wings are among the best I've enjoyed anywhere. The brisket, ribs and smoked chicken quarters are excellent as well as their baked potato salad. The pulled pork is so-so but it's not my go to choice most places. The service inside is delightful and they have a great whiskey suggestions and well crafted cocktails. Best BBQ for Mt. Pleasant and IOP area if you don't want to trek back to Charleston.

Stopped in here after a ballgame at the Shipyard. Ordered the Nacho pork skins, turkey sandwich and side salad. The nachos had a good flavor but as a personal preference I didn't care for the barbecue sauce on the nachos because it made the pigskin too soft. I would have preferred the sauce be on the side. The turkey had a pepper rub on it and had a great flavor. The side salad was good but pretty basic with lettuce, Cucumber slices, baby tomatoes and cheese. The dressing choice was honey mustard, vinaigrette or ranch. Our server was very friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They have both inside and outside seating. Would dine her again for sure.¹

Savannah was fantastic! The food was superb - love all of the sides! We had the pulled pork, chicken, and brisket - flavorful and tender!

Sooo. Since the Mt. P location opened, we mostly get the family platter. This was $49 when this site opened, and has bumped up to $69. Given today's increasing prices for just about everything, along with a need to support staff, I don't really have a problem with the pricing. One thing that has changed is that the bread and pickles/red onion are no longer in a separate container. These aren't my fave, so I don't like the meat that sits on the pickles. Additionally, by moving the pickles into the tray, this becomes "filler." It seemed like there was less in the tray the last two orders. There was definitely less bbq sauce. We received only 2 of the small condiment containers. The meal is intended for at least four people (we generally serve 6, with a bit of supplementing). In the past, there were 5 or 6 sauce containers, which was plenty to ensure everyone got some with their meal. Finally, in the past, the selection of meats in the family platter has been tasty with the brisket being quite moist. Pretty much everything in the meal (except the turkey) was fairly dry this last time. S&S almost got a 2 star, but the sides were decent (my mom loves the beans), so they get a 3. S&S is local; we'll try again...

Absolutely fantastic experience! We are staying in Savannah and went to Charleston for the day and had found this place on yelp. We went the first day of our vacation and just had to drive 1.5 hours again to go our last day of vacation too! Everyone there is super friendly and our waitress, Kimberly, was fantastic! Can't suggest this place enough. Amazing meat, awesome sauces and some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had anywhere!

We have been eating at Swig and Swine for several years, and were absolutely delighted when they decided to open a location near where we live on the Wando river in Mount Pleasant. Even at their most busy times when the adjacent ballpark is packed with people from out-of-state, their service has always been spot on, and the quality of their food is very good and consistent. They are clearly very selective about their staff and training; we're always well treated by staff and who make you feel welcome and comfortable. The ambiance is laid back and country style. This will always be a go to place on our short list.

Craving some BBQ and found the perfect spot! This place ADORES the PIG. Well, loves meat and is a vegan's nightmare according to the sign outside (which provided a good laugh). Inside, plenty of tables, booths, hightops and bars to choose from. The service is extremely friendly explaining all the different types of food choices and sauces the place has to offer. Not our first rodeo to enter into a southern BBQ place so wifey and I decided to share the Beef Brisket and get two sides, mac & cheese and corn pudding. Just Look At The Picture The meat was entirely tender. I mistakenly asked for a knife and there was absolutely no reason. The beef was so tender a spoon could have cut through it. Very tasteful and delicious. The mac and cheese was expected and the corn pudding - what is this?! OMG. I never knew corn has such deliciousness. Pack a QT size container to go please. Seriously - in Charleston area you gotta visit this place. Eat for lunch though, you'll fall asleep on your ride home if you eat late.

Some of the best BBQ I've had in a while! I think I got "the pit" sandwich with pimento cheese and slaw, and potato salad on the side. The food was great and the service was quick and friendly! The moonshine drinks are delicious too. The ambiance was lively and hoppin' on a Saturday night! Definitely a go-to when in the Charleston area.

Tried a few times since it's so close. Had a few average experiences. Food ok and service pretty good. Bars smaller then expected but good drinks. Brisket was my favorite, I'd go with the pulled pork. Parking can be easy or tight depending if there is a game going on. Worse part is you leave and reek of the place. It's in your clothes and pours. Last time a few with us were sick after. Not going again. We tried.

Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon date on the front deck... our waitress was on point, and our food & drinks were delicious!!! That Rum punch was dangerously good! Our ONLY request is more sides without onions. Even the corn pudding had onions in it?! We both opted for the grits and Mac & cheese sides, but are definitely planning to return soon!

Food is consistently very good. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Service is excellent. Ambiance? Well, it's a barbecue restaurant and that's the ambience.

Google suggested Swig & Swine, and man, are we happy we gave them a try! The food was delicious and flavorful, and they gave a lot of food! The ambiance was very cute and decorated for Christmas, even having a little pink Christmas piggy near the bar. Service was excellent, and our waitress, Macy, was very kind and attentive. Definitely recommend whether you are local or visiting the Mt Pleasant/Charleston area.
