Swing Sandwiches and Pizza

Passed this place a few times on my way to other restaurants nearby and was always curious about it. It got a somewhat viral influencer mention and started getting busier so I finally decided to check it out. Pizza is hands down best we've had in Seattle so far. The burrata one especially is so delicious. The crust is thin and cracker-like. The sauce is plentiful and tasty. Cheese tastes fresh and the food doesn't feel too heavy after. I also got a TAB sandwich which I personally wouldn't recommend. It was definitely experimental with brie and pears in the sandwich, and I can appreciate the effort to provide unique flavors, but it didn't work for me. Brie made the sandwich too heavy. Pear made the sandwich sweet in an undesired way. Bread was nothing special. Provolone also just didn't mend well with the other flavors. Stick to the pizza for sure!

So glad I tried this place! I got the “T.A.B.” sandwich and absolutely loved it. It has turkey, Brie cheese, apples, arugula, hot honey, and mustard. Many sandwich shops have delicious ingredients but lack the other elements of what I think makes an outstanding sandwich. Swing has ALL the elements! 1) High quality, flavorful ingredients 2) VERY fresh bread that’s appropriate for creating a sandwich (I hate when bread is too hard and crusty, or overwhelms the contents of a sandwich). Bread shouldn’t be an afterthought, and Swing’s house made focaccia is definitely not that. 3) Well portioned ingredients and appropriate construction. This wasn’t messy or hard to eat, and it wasn’t falling apart. The apples were sliced thinly and the Brie was smashed down so it wasn’t spilling out of the sandwich. 4) A single serving that is still a great value. I was able to eat this in one sitting. I don’t want leftovers with a sandwich like this. I was full but not overly so. I know people are raving about the pizza (which looked good, and I’ll try it next time) but the sandwiches are where it’s at for me, and I can’t wait to come back!

One of the best pizza places I’ve tried in Seattle. We tried 3 slices and the Steve’s special; all great but our favorites were the pepperoni/jalapeño and the special of the day, sun-dried tomato. The buttermilk ranch also had great flavor. The sandwich was on fresh focaccia with quality meats and ingredients. Will definitely be back!

10000 out of 10!!! Swing Sandwiches and Pizza is soooooo good! Bread for the sandwiches are made fresh every morning (limited, so get them while theyre available for the day)! I wanted to highlight the pizzas! ZERO FLOP! Ooey gooey cheesy! Robust tomato, vibrant basil, and zero-scarring on the roof of your mouth crust! The crunch from the pizza echos all across Kerry Park! Take a box of pepperoni pizza and walk it down to Kerry Park and enjoy with a nice view of Mt. Rainier & the Space Needle. Real NY pizza in the heart of Queen Anne! Can’t wait for their Grand Opening to see how their menu evolves!

So glad to have stumbled upon Swing Sandwiches and Pizza! I tried a cheese and burrata slice, both were excellent and filling! I love that you can order a variety, they are ready very quick, and taste delicious. The owner, Yoon, is incredibly kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is chill with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for a quick bite. I am looking forward to heading back again and trying a sandwich. In the meantime, don’t miss out! If you’ve been thinking of going to Swing please take the time and check it out. Yoon has a great thing going here, before you know it there will be a line out the door.

I finally got to try one of their sandwiches this time — the turkey, apple, and brie — and oh my god, it was so bomb. The turkey was perfect, not salty at all, just super flavorful and tender. The apple added this nice crisp freshness, and then there was a honey drizzle on top that tied everything together with the brie. The brie had that subtle salty creaminess that balanced it all out. And the in-house made focaccia bread? So good. You can tell it’s made fresh — soft, a little chewy, full of flavor. Plus the Dijon sauce he added just made it even better. Every single bite was amazing. I ordered one for my 14-year-old try it and he loved it. He finished the whole thing. The owner is super kind, and the cashier too. Definitely a little neighborhood gem. Can’t wait to come back again. Original Review: I stopped by Swing Sandwiches & Pizza in Queen Anne and now I get why they sell out! Unfortunately, the sandwiches were gone by the time I arrived (note to self: order ahead next time), but I could see them prepping some for pre-orders and wow… they looked amazing. All the bread is baked fresh in-house, and you can tell they put care into every detail. Since the sandwiches were out, I went for a whole burrata pizza — and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint. The crust had just the right crunch, the sauce was perfectly balanced, and the fresh burrata with basil tied it all together. Honestly, I ate half the pizza right then and there (balanced it out with a Diet Dr. Pepper, of course 😂) and saved the rest for my son. The space itself is bright, cozy, and welcoming with both indoor and outdoor seating. You’re greeted with smiles the second you walk in, and it feels neighborly in the best way. I also noticed they have spots to plug in a laptop and even some cookbooks to flip through, which makes it a great spot to hang out. Parking in the area is surprisingly easy too. The owner and staff are so warm and friendly — you can tell they really care about what they do and about the people who come in. This is exactly the kind of place the neighborhood needs. Can’t wait to come back early enough to finally snag one of those sandwiches! Highly recommend.

Having been a Seattle resident for over a year now, I've been searching for my favorite pizza. Upon my first bite, I knew I'd finally found it. I had the Italianish Sandwich, and a slice of pepperoni. Phenomenal. The sandwich held together well, had a beautiful aioli and fresh herbs/meat. The pizza was not too oily, held up well, and had great texture. The server, Kaylin (hopefully I'm spelling correctly) and Yoon who I presume is the owner were both so cordial and friendly. Hoping this spot only flourishes with time. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best pizza in the Seattle area! The crust is perfectly crispy, the sauce is full of flavor, and the toppings were absolutely delicious. Drizzling the hot honey over the burrata was a total game changer. On top of that, the owner and staff were wonderful. I can’t wait to come back and try their sandwiches next!

Amazing freshly made bread for the sandwiches! Cant believe these are Ciabatta bread!!! It's so fluffy, soft, with a slight crisp crust! Not too bready either! My personal favorite is the TAB sandwich. Turkey, Apple, Brie, with dabs of hot honey! Pizza is the star of the show! New York meets Seattle! The flop-less undercarriage, crunchy crust, robust tomato sauce and toppings, a true combination of simple makes perfect! The flavor and texture to chase for! Take a box of pie, walk it down to Kerry Park (5min walk) and enjoy it with a beautiful view of Rainier and Space Needle!

How I heard of this place: This newer pizza and sandwich shop opened up just down the street from our friends and we were eager to give it a go. When we visited, they surprised us with a selection of sandwiches to sample. Type of cuisine: New York style 18" pizza pies, and a selection of three sandwiches made to order. Ambiance: Quaint and cozy, we took our order to go, but there is limited seating on the sidewalk patio just outside, as well as a few tables for pairs of dining customers inside. The space is vibrant with bright pastel walls, chairs, and windows all around. The kitchen is small, minimalist, and sufficient to prepare the excellent menu. Owner is friendly, smiley and happy to welcome patrons. What I ordered: We selected one of each of their three sandwich options, and are eager to return for their pizzas, too! The Caprese ($15) is loaded with mozzarella, pesto and tomatoes. The Italianish ($15) is full with meats/salamis, greens and a red pepper pesto. The Turkey, Apple & Brie ($14) is robust with thinly sliced green apple, a plethora of thinly sliced turkey and greens, along with the brie. What I loved: Each sandwich was so good, it was difficult to pick our favorite. The Caprese was the best our family has ever had. The turkey was light, refreshing with the crunchy, juicy apple slices. The Italianish full, slightly spicy, and wonderfully perfect. Why I loved it: The bread is fresh and thin, which makes it easy to enjoy all of the vibrant and fresh flavors within each sandwich. We truly loved every bite and wish we had more - although there was plenty to satisfy. Cost: Average

Swing is a new pizza/sandwich joint in Queen Anne. It's counter serve/casual but they do have a few tables both inside and outside if you want to eat your grub there. They were out of sandwiches (?) at 5pm on a Sunday so we opted for pizza instead. The pizza menu is small...there were only three options (cheese, pepperoni, and burrata). They offer both slices and whole pizzas. We ordered a whole burrata pizza for $35. It's basically a cheese pizza with dollops of cold burrata scooped on top after the pizza is baked. It's super crispy, thin crust pizza, definitely not NY style (if you tried to fold a slice it would definitely snap in half)... and they don't go heavy on the sauce or mozzarella. The only pizza I've had that I can compare it to is a frozen, store-bought one you might bake at home. The service was friendly and they cleaned up our pizza box for us after we ate. We would come back to try a sandwich, but the pizza isn't for me.

For a place that's been open less than a week, Swing is doing great. We tried two different pizza slices: the Burrata and the Pepperoni. Both had a nice crisp crust. The topics were good, and the burrata was amazing - large and fresh. We also had the Sandwich, the TAB - Turkey, Apple, Brie - with hot Honey, but I strongly suspect there was also some mustard on there. I suggest they disclose that. As for this sandwich, copious amounts of the ingredients! See photos. Really excellent. Workers were super friendly and helpful. Do we need a new pizza place when there's Via Tribunail, Olympia, Domani, Desi, Zeeks and Cornelly all within a 10 minute walking radius??!! (Not even counting the Masonry or Big Marios) I'd say YES, the more the merrier. Each shop has its own vibe, and Swing has Sandwiches. For a place open for a week I think it's funny they already sell Swing merch like a tote bag. I liked the 40s music in the background as well as the clean seating inside and out. Questions: Will there be more menu options in the future? Are the sandwiches pre-made? Is your logo designed by an AI image generator? See you again, Swing.

This is one of my favorite places in Seattle! The pizza is perfect, the sandwiches are amazing, and the staff is great. Reminds me of the pizza joints back in NYC.

Was craving a slice so came to swing to grab a couple, and it hit the spot! There aren't many places that just have slices, so I was super excited they opened up. We got a cheese and burrata slice, and they were exactly what I was looking for. The burrata slice comes with a hefty serving of burrata which was lovely. The pizza is pretty crispy, so it really holds the structure of the pizza well. I prefer slightly less crispy, but I know plenty of people love a crispy bottom! Owner was super nice, and sandwiches looked delicious. Will have to come back and try them!

Stopped in to try a slice, hoping it would become my go to pizza place. I was pleasantly surprised and my experience was excellent. I ordered a pretty standard slice - pep and jalapeño. Excellent flavor, and the whole slice was crispy without being over cooked. Crispy peps, thin sliced jalapeño. Oregano added. Very very sold slice. Will be back.

Will be going back to Swing. The staff were super helpful in explaining the pizzas on them. The space is super small, but the outside area has tables that are covered so you can eat indoor or outdoor no matter the weather. The pizza was SO GOOD and filling, plus it did not weight me down. I got the burrata & mortadella pesto pistachio pizza's and so did my husband. Next time I'm in I will most likely get the caprese sandwich as that caught my eye.

Pizza was good, missed a bit of salt can be easily fixed with the Parmesan. Owner makes the pizzas 4.3/5 imo

They have flavorful and well portioned sandwiches with great (fresh baked!) bread, but the main draw to me is my absolutely favorite type of pizza (very very thin and crispy crust). If you're getting a pie make sure you eat a slice right away while it's hot. Clean and comfy interior with places to sit and eat and good service (the order taker Kalin was friendly and helpful,) what's not to like!

Thanks Swing for literally ruining all other pizza places for me. Just great. Would love to have pizza from a different spot but after having Swing it's like... what's the point.

Amazing thing crust pizza! So damn good!! The lightest crispy crust!! I think the best I've eaten in town

The owner seems super nice, so I feel bad about a lower score. I got burrata and cheese pizza to try both and both were burnt tasting in the dough? I like the concept but for 35+$ I need my pizza to be great. Excited to update this after I try a sandwich, but think a bit of learning curve is happening with price and quality!

A hike up the hill to get here from our hotel but the sandwich, especially the bread, was worth it!

Small but excellent place to grab a slice or a sandwich. The $5 pizza slice had a delicious thin crust. I'll definitely be back. Hope they add more vegetarian pizza options to the menu.

Wow! Swing just opened and I'm already loving it. Great to have a place in the neighborhood where I can grab a quick slice or sandwich. Prices are totally reasonable, with a burrata slice costing $4.75. The slice itself is fantastic; if you love a lot of cheese, you'll like this one. The Italianish is the standout to me, with a delectable tapenadeish spread that's made me return twice in one weekend. Will definitely be returning!

We've been several times already and really enjoy the Swing sandwiches! While the selection is a bit limited at the moment, we continue to be impressed by the quality of the ingredients and taste. We haven't tried the pizza yet, but will definitely do so on a future visit. The owner is really nice and friendly as well. Great neighborhood spot for sure!

This place was endorsed by infatuation and it's close so we had to try it tonight. It was REALLY good!! We got a combo burrata/pep pizza. The crust was light, like really light, and toppings were fresh and tasted great. Highly recommend!

I'm not much of a sandwich person but had an incredible turkey/brie/green apple sandwich in GLUTEN FREE bread at Swing. Delicious!!! It's a cute new place on Galer that also serves pizza that looks really appetizing. Super nice service.

I love a restaurant that has a few items on their menu that they do REALLY well. That's exactly what this place is. The italianish sandwich was delicious. The establishment is also really clean and orderly.
