Very cute wine bar in the middle of the Leyton buzz. We stopped in for a quick drink before dinner. Two of us grabbed a free table ourselves and noticed you don’t really get much service until you order at the bar. Once we got our bottle, that’s when the service started with water, menus and the rest. The blonde woman wasn’t the warmest, but the tall guy was really friendly and attentive. We had a beautiful gruner veltliner and ordered a few small plates when two more friends joined. The food menu at the moment is in collaboration with a Chinese chef, so most dishes are Chinese inspired. Unfortunately the flavors didn’t really land for us, the wontons were very bland and the octopus was just ok. Overall it was an ok experience. The wine was lovely, but the slightly cold welcome left a bit of an off putting first impression.

A great new wine bar in a railway arch - with a good selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle, beers in the fridge, and regular pop-up chefs at the weekend. It is run by the same team as Arch Deli in Leytonstone (also in an arch), and is a large, friendly space with lots of indoor seating. It's great to see places like this opening - Leyton Midland has so much more to offer these days.

The space itself is nice, friendly service, great wine. The pop up option prices were really extortionate however! At ~£13 for 3 momo (small dumplings), you’d need to order 3 portions, spending £39, to get these portions to even approach main meal size. And that’s for one person. It’s a shame, because they were quite nice, just really badly priced!

The best, most friendly and genuine service you’ll find in London. Really knowledgeable about the wines, amazing unique selection of delicious wines. Great atmosphere inside and excellent outdoor vibes. Has become a regular spot for me and my partner and great place to bring friends ✨

The best wine bar in east London and definitely in Leyton! Gorgeous delicious wines , great vibes and the kindest staff you’ll ever meet. We come here almost every week and it’s always the best experience. Would highly recommend!

Great edition to Leyton Midland. Swirl Wine Bar in Leyton is a real gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt so well looked after. A huge thank you to Fatima, who was an outstanding host, warm, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about both the wine and the food. We have some food allergies and she was so helpful and informative which is so reassuring when dining out with allergies. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, the wine list is excellent. Highly recommend for anyone in Leyton, worth crossing Waltham Forest for too. Also thank you for opening on a Tuesday.
