Such a cute soft serve ice cream shop. Place was clean and customer service was nice. We ordered a shake, a dole whip, vanilla and a chocolate soft serve. All of our choices were so good, especially the dole whip! Can’t wait to come back as summer begins to warm up a bit more!

My husband and I started coming here in Spring of 2024. There's ample parking in the plaza. They're located right next to The Habit and there are either stairs or a ramp that you can take to get up. We've been here multiple times during the summer and came again just recently. Their soft serve is definitely a nice treat and plenty of toppings to pick from. My husband usually gets a dipped cone, but I like to keep it basic and will usually get vanilla soft serve, hot fudge and nuts (classic sundae) or I'll do half vanilla and half chocolate with a couple toppings. My husband got a caramel sundae the most recent time we came. It's a cute little spot and there's tables inside. They'll put a couple tables and chairs outside too so when we have our dogs with us we've been able to sit outside with them. The owner has also brought up little cups of whipped cream for them which is very sweet.

The flavors are rich without being overly sweet, and everything tastes like it was just made — nothing artificial or watered down. They also have a great variety of flavors and toppings, so you can customize your cup exactly how you like it. I loved how generous they were with portions, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Perfect spot to cool off on a hot day or just treat yourself to something sweet. I'll definitely be back!

Ambiance/Environment: They have a small indoor space with a decent amount of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It was clean inside, but some of the tables do need some attention. Service: There were only two female workers, and they were simply quick & efficient. Throughput took about 8 minutes for both soft serves. Soft serves: We got the large Cherry Bomb and Matchocolate from the swirls' specialty section. Presentation was definitely on point. The Cherry Bomb wasn't overwhelming sweet. It contained vanilla soft serve with a generous amount of strawberry drizzle and toppings. The Matchocolate was sweet. If you're a chocolate lover like me, then you'll really enjoy this. I thought the matcha soft serve was okay; it was bitter, but the sweet chocolate balanced it out. Pricing: Prices are more than average. They do offer coupons and promos every once in a while, so I'd say it's worth it to treat yourself. If you get a large size, I highly recommend sharing it lol.

Awesome hidden gem, can’t go wrong with soft serve ice cream as a sweet treat! Great customer service and recommendations. Flavors and toppings are on point. I love the idea of putting the toppings on top of the ice cream and in the bottom, so if you finish the toppings you still have the bottom toppings!

Yummy, creamy soft serve. Location is clean. Staff is friendly. Sizes are a bit large. I had a "kids" size and couldn't finish it, but that's my opinion. So happy to have soft serve close to home. :) btw the spoons change color with temperature. That was a nice surprise. Update: They carry Brownie chunks now and they're super yummy!!! 😀🎉 Update: I still love swirls but the prices are getting out of control. It's even worse on a delivery app. You'll end up spending over $15 per softserve if you want toppings.

This place was clean. I feel like ice cream shops can get dirty quickly. The items are large so ordering a single serving is enough in most cases. There was only one employee when we arrived but soon after a second one came out to help move the line along. The items we ordered were good.

I saw them on Instagram and thought I would try it out. I was really hoping their ice cream was worth it because it was a 50min drive there and 40 min drive back. So glad that I went because it was delicious. I got the matcachocolate with cherries and my friend got the Broadway. Both were so yummy! Definitely worth the drive. The service was great too. Everyone was so nice. It was non-stop super busy. Line out the door and they all remained happy and helpful.

On Father's Day this MOMMY wanted to treat yo'self to some ice cream and Swirls did the trick! It was my first time stopping in and although the menu is quite confusing, I landed on a soft serve selection of vanilla and strawberry (not swirled together). The ice cream was DELICIOUS and well-worth the price point. This spot is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking (right next to the Habit Burger). Theres a few tables inside to enjoy your treat there or you can take it to go. The risk of eating it there is that you'll likely want to buy another cone!

Chocolate/Vanilla swirl was very good. Had Cocoa Puffs added to it. They loaded it from the bottom up. Very nice. Only complaint: Horrible napkins! It's basically paper. Doesn't absorb anything.

Nothing great, bought 2 Dubai chocolate ice cream and 1 Oreo matcha. Everything was ok but not amazing. I don't think it justifies the 53 dollar price tag for 3 ice creams. The sorry serve was basic and did not add much flavor. The three of us in my group agreed it was cool to try once but we probably wouldn't go back.

I have only been to Swirls Soft Serve once, but that experience was enough to tell me that I should give this place five stars. I went there for the first time with a group of friends, and we were greeted by the friendly staff. It was a cold night, and I had my doggie with me, but that was okay. We were able to sit by the door with no issues about that. Their menu selections are ample, and though I ordered what I thought was a simple soft-serve vanilla cone... this cone was more than simple. It was super tall! For reference, I took a picture of my cone next to my friend's arm! It was funny... and delicious! I love soft serce ice cream, though unfortunately, I am supposed to cut back on sugar (and I don't do sugar substitutes!), so I cannot frequent ice cream shops as much as I'd like to. However, Swirls has me wanting to go back for more.

Cool place. Cooler toppings. That's what separates this place; the toppings. I haven't had Captain Crunch cereal in years but when I saw it here, I wanted it. But, I went with one of their specialty concoctions - The Cherry Bomb. Honestly, it was great - just missing the Cap'n Crunch . Lots and lots of cherries. They have a lot of cool specialty options. I only have it a 4 because it was pretty expensive for ice cream. $25 for 2 small specialty choices. Everything is high but $25 for 2 small feels like too much (even though there smalls, felt like large).

Great treat shop in Upland! Creative, delicious and BEAUTIFULLY crafted ice cream treats. Great customer service and a fun vibe! You gotta try Swirls!

Bless the girls heart that was working when we walked in about 10minutes before closing. She was not rude and working in my younger years, I understand that sometimes it can be frustrating to have last-minute customers. We were on a double date so we ordered four different ice creams. Everyone really enjoyed what they got. My fiancé got a banana split and I just got vanilla ice cream with fruity pebbles and the ice cream is amazing. I was truly craving some soft serve and I will definitely be back. Inside they have cute little tables and decor for the perfect photo op. They were also playing really good music when we walked in so I appreciate that too with a very chill and cool ambience.

Clean and cool place. My daughter and I ordered the Dubai chocolate soft serve, and based off the photos we saw, we decided on just 1. Got there about 2pm and there were 3 other parties already sitting and enjoying their treats, we ordered right away, and received our order in less than 5 minutes. Although, we were initially shocked that the total was a little short of $19, once we received the item, we understood why. We couldn't finish half! I'm sure this could easily treat a family of 4 or 5. It was absolutely delicious and a nice treat for a summer day. Definitely recommend trying it at least once.

The base Ice cream is ok. The banana split was disappointing, $10 for the base of 3 ice cream flavors, a banana, whipped cream and cherries. If u want nuts and a topping like hot fudge it is extra. Overpriced for what it is. We tried it but won't be back. Also, good luck finding a trash can,, they have a very small one inside but most people went next door to The Habit to dump their trash.

Was in the area for work, upon finishing lunch I wanted a quick dessert. I found Swirls nearby! So happy I came upon this gem. [Parking] Easy, plentiful, located at a plaza so there is more than enough free parking. [Storefront] Clean accessible entry [Store inside] Tidy seating area available with cute decor with great lighting [Service] The employee was friendly and welcoming. Went over some of the favorite options, very knowledgable [Food] I opted for the soft serve, half vanilla half chocolate in a waffle cone. The serving size is enough for two people to share (I am not a sharer though!) Literally melts in your mouth type of ice cream, not overly sweet and taste to perfection. I regret not adding a topping. Will definitely stop by if I am in the area again, this is a go-to spot for ice cream or a fun yummy dessert.

The strawberries taste fresh topped with pistachios and Koffee for perfection. the service is great, the girl who took our order was nice and the ambience's lively and bright.

I am giving a 1 star review because on Monday August 11th at around 9:50 pm, I witnessed the owner of the store (a bald middle eastern man) verbally abuse his female employee when she turned off the menus to start closing the store. I was so appalled by his behavior and he yelled at her in front of customers that were sitting inside to point that they left the store visibly uncomfortable. He continued to yell at her saying is she dumb for turning off the menus when the store is minutes from closing and no customers coming through the door. The ice cream was delicious, but his behavior towards a young female employee at his grown age was unacceptable I can not bring myself to go back and support a business owner that believes it is okay to yell at a young employee for something done so innocently by getting ready to close the store. I wanted to confront him but if he was able to yell at her in front of customers imagine what he would say to me also a young woman. Updated after his BS comment: Sir I know what I heard and saw, I was sitting outside at the table and as I was leaving I heard her start yelling back at you visibly upset. You belittled her absolutely disgusting hopefully she leaves this hostile work environment and I hope the other 2 customers that were inside see this and comment as well because your behavior was disgusting for being a grown man to a young female.

Came here because I saw it on my instagram. The ice cream was amazing. The only negative thing I have to say was the bald guy in the front ringing people up was kind of rude with a passive aggressive tone.

It's was amazing the ice ice cream was bussin. Service was really and they didn't take too long better then baskin robins says my family.

Older guy taking the order was nice. The girls actually making the orders were rude and slow. Ice cream was too sweet & overpriced. Never again. Save it and go to Bert and Rocky's down the street

It was super busy in there but the employees took our order quickly and got our ice cream out as soon as they could. There was a little wait time of course but the ice cream was so delicious! I got the cherry bomb and the broadway

This place was definitely popular the night I went. There was a good amount of people in the small space. I liked the look of the store and the service was great. However, I personally don't understand the hype around the place. The ice cream was very expensive (we spent over $30 for two medium ice cream cups). I first saw this place on Instagram with someone advertising the Dubai ice cream. I'd had Afters Ice Cream's version and wanted to try Swirls' version. I saw people inside were eating it and we're basically finished with it so my hopes were high. It was just not good though. I feel bad that I can't say anything good about the ice cream: the Kataifi was sharp/pokey (I felt like I needed to be very mindful of that fact while I was eating and had to concentrate) and the chocolate ice cream base just didn't taste good. I'm still unsure how I felt about the pastachio cream they put on it. Either way, as a whole it wasn't good. I wondered if I just didn't like mine so I tried my partner's. He got the Cherry Bomb. But when I tried the vanilla base ice cream I also didn't like it. I wonder if people were just eating it because they paid so much money for it? Usually I do the same but I just couldn't and was so disappointed. We ended up throwing away the whole cups, $30+ in the trash. Took my craving for sweets with it, so we just went home and went to bed. I will say: my partner said he liked his (the Cherry bomb flavor), but that a medium was too much so he basically threw away a full cup. The ice cream looked nice and was presented well, you do get a lot of ice cream (a medium is really way too much in my opinion but the Dubai one only comes in medium), the service was great (it came out quickly considering how many people they were servicing and they took our order quickly)...wish I actually liked the ice cream as I'd been waiting over a month to make my way out to Upland to try it.

First time at SSS, and ordered the Dubai Chocolate ice cream, I will say that it had quite the presentation, and that the instant first bite was silky smooth, with just the right amount of crunch from the pistachios. Definitely did not disappoint! IMO. However, I wouldn't go out of my way each time to buy the Dubai Chocolate ice cream, being that it is a whopping $17.00! for a medium size especially. The employees did serve a generous amount and really take the time to prepare it. As much as I would want to order this at every visit, I would need to be really craving it if I wanted to order it again. Also highly recommend sharing, imo it can serve 2-3 people.

10/10! First timer. Walk in order. The woman behind the counter was super kind and helpful. It was busy but it was worth the wait! Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh! I cannot wait to come back and try their other delicious options! Do yourself a favor and come try this place out when you can! You will not regret it.

Delicious because I love nuts and cherries I got a kids size but it was huge very fulfilling and my spoon changed colors with the coldness.

This was my first time trying Dubai chocolate ice cream and the pistachio cream was so rich in flavor. I love how generous they were with the ice cream and all the toppings. I had to try the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries and they let me know the strawberries were from a local farm. Doesn't get any better than that. I wish I could order the pistachio cream to go because it was the perfect compliment to both items. I also got the Mexicali and it was the perfect summer treat. I can't pick which item was my favorite because everything was amazing. this location is family friendly and they have tables outside just in case you want to bring your animals. shout out to the lovely young ladies working the counter who are doing an amazing job and were super friendly. i'll definitely be back to support this small business.

Ice cream is my favorite dessert and whenever I'm in the area, I stop by Swirls. They have a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. And what I love is that they don't skimp on the ice cream. They give you a big swirl of ice cream enough to share with someone else. They also have milkshakes, floats, fruit teas, and milk teas. The staff is always friendly and service is fast. And they now have Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream and Dubai Chocolate Strawberries. They make their own pistachio cream which is so yummy, better than store bought! And they get their strawberries from a local farm. I tried both last week and definitely coming back to treat myself next week. My daughter loved the strawberries. I loved both. I was putting some of the strawberries in the ice cream and tasted so good! The place is small with some tables inside and outside and there's plenty of parking. If you're in the mood for something sweet, stop by and indulge in one of their delightful treats!

I came in having already decided to get a Dubai-something, decided on the Dubai strawberries, and I'm glad I did, since the portion was huge and I was by myself. I don't think I could have finished the entire cup if it had ice cream in it! It was a great mix of the knafeh, pistachio cream with a few pistachio chunks in there, and what I think was Nutella. YUM! I do agree with another reviewer that it would have been even better if it were a little colder, but I know the Nutella and pistachio cream wouldn't have spread as well, either. This was quite decadent, without being TOO decadent. Price is steep, but I know how expensive pistachio cream and fresh strawberries are these days, so it made sense. Delicious and fast service, as well!

The service was so amazing; they gave me recommendations, and were able to change up my order. I got the Dubai soft serve ice cream but I didn't want the whole pistachio nuts and they were able to take them out for me. When I asked if they ever tried it they automatically gave me the answer I was looking for and even more information. 100% recommended!!!

the place is cute and stuff but the 3 females that work are kinda talkative and i believe that's why it takes long lol they talk a lot and no face mask. There hair is down and no hair net. I think they should require those other than that the cashier was nice if you have patience's for peoples stupidity lol

Both of these selections were very different, but very delicious! I got to try a good range of their different flavors and I was not disappointed! Love that they swirl that ice cream all the way to the top!

I want to emphasize that this is soft serve GELATO so it doesn't melt as quickly as soft serve ice cream. It's probably why its texture just tastes more luxe than regular soft serve. Yes, it's pricey - but that's why it's a treat. And it is absolutely worth the $ and the calories! Service is consistently great and friendly. It's not a quiet place for study, but it is nice if you want to come here for dessert with friends or family. I still believe they should lean into their soft serve and invest in a few high quality toppings (ie fresh seasonal fruit) and it's still a no for a soft serve banana split for me (gelato or not). But I decided that they continue to offer a solid dessert item that I crave, then it's a five stars for the delicious gelato soft serve and the helpful customer service.

Oh my goodness. This place has always been great (been coming here for almost 2 years). We came back because I saw online that they had a Dubai chocolate ice cream and I wanted to try it. It was wicked expensive ($18 for a medium - the only size they have for this option vs. $8 for a different flavor of the same size) but it was the BEST ice cream I've ever had. Would I get it all the time? No. But for a special occasion? Absolutely! I wish I had a photo, but I started eating it too fast lol

Been here a few times now pretty good I get the Mango dole whip with Chamoy in a kid size which is nice because you get a decent amount for the price. I order a la carte can come out cheaper.

Stopped in and tried the new Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream and Dubai Chocolate Strawberries--both were ridiculously good. The ice cream is super rich and creamy, and the chocolate strawberries are on another level. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out. Always great service here too. Definitely worth a stop!

Most professional places would have offered an apology and would have wanted to court a customer instead of insult Fact is it is a total rip off and at least you admit you are making tons of money

I got the Dubai chocolate strawberries cup, it tasted amazing! I do just wish they added chocolate and the toppings on the middle section. I feel they focused on making the cup look full. It would've tasted so so good if the strawberries were cold. But I would reccomend this dessert, it's not too sweet and not too bland. It's the perfect mix.

This ice cream is amazing by far my favorite since being in California highly recommend if you're looking for a soft serve treat. Seating area is nice would be cool if they added little games for customers to play while eating their desert, just a recommendation. Definitely a must try if you're in the IE

I still have yet to try their Thai tea soft serve. That's why I originally came. On my first visit, months ago, I got a regular vanilla soft serve. Dipped in chocolate. Bomb! The guy was able to get me a discount as a first time check in on their rewards system. So that's cool. They also have other treats and even boba. On my recent visit (this weekend in January 2024), I asked for the Thai tea soft serve, dipped in chocolate. I guess the guy was having problems. So he told me he couldn't do it. The soft serve was coming out too soft. So he offered to put it in a cup and put the chocolate in the cup. That was weird. I could have just asked for a Thai tea cup with chocolate drizzle. Whatever. I said ok. It was hard to eat. Not the same experience. So I asked for a regular vanilla soft serve. Dipped in chocolate. He was able to accommodate. So thanks. But I still really, really want my Thai tea soft serve dipped in chocolate. I'll come back and give the 5th star when I get that. Other than that, no complaints. Stop by. Vanilla soft serve is still jammin!

So I've been coming here for a while but recently they started selling Dubai chocolate with strawberries and Dubai chocolate with ice cream. I got 1 of each for myself and my wife and must say it was soooo good! I was all about the ice cream but the wife loved the strawberry version. But no wrong way to go lol love this spot! And I've had the Dubai chocolate stuff elsewhere but swirls took it to another level.
