Great day at the Swiss museum of transport 🚙✈️🚀🚘🛫🚌🚐🚑🚍 beware it is more for children could go there as a adult but price is quite high 37 francs. We used a raffeisen card to get 50% discount but nice for the little ones only thought the 2 francs for the little ones was a bit strange but okay.

Space and Aircraft is one of the most unique things you will ever see. Most recommended. Ticket prices are fair, you get the actual experience, don't buy all four tickets if you can't give full time, just take the museum of transport, you will get full value. Make sure you finish your lunch before you enter so you can enjoy without worrying.

It’s one of those places where time is never enough, no matter how well you plan your visit. What stands out more and more is the museum’s strong focus on sustainability. The exhibits thoughtfully highlight how mobility is evolving and how Switzerland is leading the way in creating cleaner, smarter, and more responsible transport solutions. The hands-on displays make complex concepts easy to understand, offering an inspiring look at what the future of travel could and should be. It feels less like a museum and more like a living learning space where innovation and awareness meet. It’s also a wonderful place for families. There’s an impressive amount of interactive stations for kids—simulators, puzzles, experiments, and activities that keep them engaged while they learn. It’s truly designed for all ages. And of course, the beautiful Hans Erni Museum inside remains a highlight. His art brings elegance and depth to the experience, adding a cultural dimension that makes every visit complete. Highly recommended—every visit feels new.

The Swiss Museum of Transport is one of the most impressive museums I’ve ever visited. It’s huge, interactive, and genuinely fun for all ages. You can sit inside old trains, explore aircraft up close, test out simulators, and learn about Switzerland’s transport history in a super engaging way. I loved how hands-on everything was, you’re not just looking at exhibits, you’re trying them. The Planetarium and the chocolate experience are great add-ons if you have extra time. Plan at least half a day because there’s so much to see. Whether you’re a transport nerd or just curious, this museum is absolutely worth the visit.

You can buy tickets there or online at their website in advance. Food: delicious 🤤 Staffs: very friendly 😆 Smoking and non smoking: there are designated areas! There's also a solar panel for phone charging. Recommend having a portable charger and cables. Very fun. Alot of interactive games to play/try. Toilets: there are alot. 😆 Food/gift boths. Affordable prices. JUST ENJOY!

We absolutely loved our visit to the Swiss Museum of Transport as a family. There is so much to see and do for all ages. My favorite part was the ride that explains the entire Lindt chocolate process, from cacao plantations in Africa all the way to the final product delivery. It’s both fun and very educational. The aviation and air transport sections are extensive and fascinating, and the railway exhibits are just as impressive. One of the highlights was trying the Red Bull paragliding simulators and the gravity disorientation simulator — a really exciting experience. We had an amazing time as a family and would highly recommend it. The only downside is that the entrance fee felt quite expensive at 60 CHF per person, but the experience itself is excellent.

Learn about a kinds of transpiration at this hands-on, interactive museum: from trains and airplanes to ships and cars. Besides the permanent collection, the museum also host changing exhibits as well as a planetarium and an IMAX theater. Two restaurants on site.

It is amazing. All the different kind of transportation areas so well organized. Enjoyable for kids and adults. Everything was enriching. A day is not enough to absorb everything that was offered. So much to learn and understand. Kind staff. Good food. Very clean.

This was an outstanding museum to which we did not allocate nearly enough time. Great displays of old train cars, automobiles and planes, plus lots of interactive exhibits about energy, about being careful while bicycling (using virtual reality headsets). Unfortunately we arrived 90 minutes before closing and did not have time to see the movies or fully engage with many of the exhibits. Very nice restaurant as well

We've been to a lot of museums in Europe, but this particular experience turned out to be a bust. Expecting great things after reading the museum's lofty ratings across online platforms, the experience failed to measure up. The lack of air conditioning in the sweltering heat of a Swiss summer day made the experience miserable, but we tried to look beyond that to provide a reasonable assessment of the exhibits. The displays are sprawling and offer incredible variety. But few aspects were truly memorable. Highlights of rare items include entire planes and trains, Felix Baumgartner's suit utilized for his record 24-mile skydive in 2012, the passenger cabin of a zeppelin, and the section of Sim World downstairs with unusual contraband confiscated at Zurich's airport. A glassed escalator that shows the inner workings of the mechanism was possibly more interesting than the nearby cars on display. The rest was rather boring, but the heat inside these poorly ventilated buildings is what made it most uncomfortable.

Wow and a half! This is truly one of the best transport museums. There are plenty of fascinating displays of aircraft and locomotives for the young and young at heart. The history of Swissair is especially well done, with models and displays. And what a rare treat to go inside the preserved Convair CV-880. The section of trams and locomotives is really a stunning piece of transportation history. You can spend several enjoyable hours here.

What an absolutely fantastic museum! We were here for about a half-day, but really could have spent the better part of a week exploring its wonders. All signs large and small were in a multitude of languages, and virtually everything in the entire museum had an English label. All of the exhibit halls were very clean and everything was in good working order, which can be challenging to maintain with so many hands-on items and simulators. Our group ranged in age from 14 to 60, and the museum really had something for everyone, with many historic artifacts for the history geeks among us (including the rolling stock from the first Swiss rail company), amazing science exhibits (like the actual EURECA space satellite which spent a year in orbit), and heaps of hands-on activities that kept even our most jaded teens engaged! The centre of the museum is a massive courtyard known as The Arena, which is dedicated to all forms of transportation and mobility. In various sections, tikes were riding little freight trucks and peddle bikes, while teens were zipping around the large open areas on scooters. My wife and I enjoyed a paddleboat ride on the central pond, which simulated a floatplane trip around the world. The museum was holding their annual Rail Days celebration while we were there, with the rail enthusiasts cheerfully giving out heart-shaped cookies to both the polite Swiss visitors as well as bemused American tourists like us.

Very neat experience. Recommend going at least once - you'll end up spending a lot of time there. I do wish there was an English speaking guide or a better path to take going through the museum.

I had so much fun playing in the transportation museum today! Lots of fun simulations for adults and kids. But there's a kids play area outside I wish I'm young enough to play in.

This muesum is one of the best! I always like to visit it with my little cousins who always have fun on the several attractions and enterteniments it provides. One of the things I love of Verkehrshaus museum is interactivity. Every piece can be played and moved almost completely, so it makes it an unforgettable experience. I really recommend to visit it at least once a year!

It is an awesome museum slightly overpriced but fun for tourists but if you go often you get bored
