Fitness Classes, Yoga Sessions, and Spa Treatments You Can Stream From Your Favorite Hotels

"Wellness has always been a key consideration at this glass-walled hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago, as it has for all of Swissôtel’s properties: For years, the brand’s Vitality program has given guests the tools to help them maintain their physical and mental health while away from home, from cardio classes to healthy in-room dining options. Now, the Chicago outpost has rolled out these same tools to help keep us healthy while at home: There are strength and conditioning classes led by Swissôtel Chicago personal trainer Nicole Pernic, cooking tutorials (think stuffed peppers, egg cup frittatas, and quinoa cookies) hosted by executive chef Dan McGee, and live-streamed sound baths led by sound therapist Sara Auster, all accessible via the hotel’s Facebook page. If you want to take it a step further and really treat yourself, Swissôtel is also selling its super-luxe Frette bathrobes and plush pillows, filled with pine wood shavings that “release the calming scent of the Swiss Alps,” online."

My wife and I just Celebrated our 1 year Anniversary we were told about this hotel from local friends. I have to say… the staff treated us with so much kindness and love. Upon hearing about our story, We were upgraded and treated to a room waiting for us with amazing gifts and treats. The food and staff within the hotel are superb and the convenience of location allowed for us to get anywhere downtown River Walk area, with ease. We have told all our friends back home and we will be back. Thank you for your kindness and for anyone looking to be treated…. We loved it. The view was amazing as well… her is a small view..

Google
Such a great hotel. This is our second stay here for a conference, and they upgraded us to a corner king room. The views are great along the river, with a view of Navy Pier and Lake Michigan. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. They also give you $10/day for the restaurant/bar downstairs if you pass up housekeeping for the day. It’s also neat reading up on their honeybees and green policies. We bring our dog with us, and everyone treats him so well. He loves that there is a beautiful dog park right behind the hotel. Can’t wait to be back again next year!

Love this hotel. This is the second time we are staying here and this time our king size room was on the 20th floor. The views are just magnificent. We were unimpressed with the first clerk we checked in. He was trying hard to convince us to upgrade our prepaid room and we just did not like his style. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful. Our room and our bathroom were spacious and so comfortable. The hotel advertised self parking and valet parking. However, we were told that only valet parking was available. This can be pricey but we did not have much choice. At the end of our 3 night stay, we were happily surprised to find out that we had a $70 credit for the restaurant and $15 for the coffee shop. Felipe, our waiter at the Palm restaurant was wonderful even if we showed up 10 minutes before the restaurant closed for breakfast. A great stay overall in a vibrant city!

Google
Really nice hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfortable. Incredible view! The first night I was there I stayed in a room close to the elevator and it was very loud - the sound of the elevators going up and down was like sleeping next to a subway. But they were able to move me to a different room as soon as I asked and that one had no issues. Four stars only because check in took a very long time, and also the daily “resort fee” felt pretty scammy.

Google
When I arrived the Valet was thorough in explaining where my car would be parked and ensuring it would be safe. The valet cost PER DAY is $87 a night stayed. Keep that in mind, regular self parking is $75 so better to just get valet. When I entered the hotel the smell was great, like I was entering Miami Beach waters. Smelt like waves of beauty. I got to the front counter and a gentleman named Mohamed, was so fresh and kind. Checked me in to my room at 3515 floor 35. The room was perfect, nice view, shower water volume was unlike anything and the amenities were great. Ice is located in the building and I refilled my cooler quite a bit and it didn't have any hiccups. I included pictures of my room, my stay was nice and the bed was very comfy as well. No signs of hygiene issues at this hotel. No bugs and good vibes. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a hotel near navy pier or near the main hustle and bustle in Chicago.

Peaceful and cozy. Travelling a lot for work, I am regularly disappointed by the workspace in my room and/or the chair offerings that are not the office chair or the bed. My room was not cramped, but wasn't too big either. All the furniture was comfortable. I also think the glass covered wood surfaces also created the impression that they were all impecabbly clean. Additionally, I appreciated the separate tub although I wish I had made the time to enjoy it while I was staying with you. Wonderful experience. Also, every side of your triangle hotel had a great view, so well done.

Google
Disappointing Experience – Poor Staff Attitude and Lack of Hospitality I had such high expectations for Swissôtel Chicago based on the reputation of the brand, but my experience was incredibly disappointing and has ensured I won’t be returning. The front desk staff were shockingly unprofessional and clearly lacked the basic training needed for customer service. On the last day of our stay, my wife became unwell. I called down to kindly request a late checkout—willing to pay for an extension or even just a few extra hours. The response I received was cold, dismissive, and completely devoid of any sympathy or hospitality. The tone alone was enough to ruin our impression, but the complete lack of flexibility or understanding made it even worse. It’s incredibly frustrating to spend money expecting a certain level of service, only to be treated with such disregard. There are many great hotels in Chicago that understand how to treat guests with care and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere before booking here. I know I will.

This was a really great hotel. You definitely get the bang for your buck. Room was clean, specious and the views were overlooking the river. |Location was exceptional. You are situated right in the heart of all the action. We came to Chicago for a wedding and made a weekend out of it. It really helped being able to just walk to many of the predominant landmarks. You’re also a short ways from Millennium Park and can rent a bicycle there and enjoy the lake side. |I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to find good value and walkability in the city.

Yelp
We arrived in Chicago to plan my dad's funeral service and I can honestly say that my heart was heavy after our flight. Upon our arrival, we encountered Mohammed at the Swissotel Front Desk. He was like an angel. Our check in was seamless, easy and smooth. We asked for feather free room, he gave me multiple floors to choose. Our load was lightened where our bags were taken to the room. The shower was the perfect temperature with flawless water pressure. There was a robe, slippers and tea afterwards to relax. The sheets were thick and yummy where I drifted off to the most restful sleep The next morning, it was a wonderful, opening the window to see the river and skyline. The city with big shoulders opened up its arms to give our family a a great big hug. I am so grateful for the care that we received. We took a walk on Michigan Avenue on a beautiful spring day where tulip were in bloom. The front desk sent us to breakfast at Wildberry which was delicious. It was great to be home. Thank you for your hospitality.

Yelp
I booked a king City view room. It was very nice, beautiful river views. After our first night the AC wasn't working correctly. Maintenance replaced a part and it seemed fine. After being out all day our room felt warm. Again maintenance came. The manager Hassan offered us an upgrade. Wow! He gave us a beautiful corner room with amazing city and river views. Additionally he sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room with a card wishing us a happy 34th wedding anniversary. That was so incredibly thoughtful! I absolutely love it here and will definitely come back. I highly recommend this hotel and commend this young man for his management and customer service skills that go above and beyond! Thank you. Yelp
I stayed at Swissotel for 2 nights over July 4 weekend. Our stay was very nice and the room is super clean and comfy; a king with a city view. I accidentally left my wallet in a drawer in the room and checked out (I know...) Thought it was gone forever. But I called the hotel and they HAD my wallet at 'lost and found.' Nothing was amiss and I am so very grateful to the honest, hardworking, and kindhearted people at Swissotel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Yelp
We arrived very early (10am) and our room was not ready. We were offered an early check in at a fee of $65.00. We opted to check our bags while we explored the city. Front desk said they would call when room was available, which they did at noon. After exploring the city we checked into our room at 6pm. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly. We reserved a classic King in advance. They attempted to put us into a double. When I explained we reserved a king she requested to see proof. Luckily I had printed my confirmation. No apology, just more key tapping. We were given our keys and nothing was explained. The room was clean however there was only 1 robe and 1 tea bag. Looking in the key packet I discovered a card explaining their "Urban Experience Fee" which is a joke! Free coffee and tea available in lobby from 5am-6am! One hour, obviously they do not want anyone to take advantage of that. I asked at the desk for caffeine free tea and I was told to either check at bar or call room service! This is a luxury hotel with no customer service! I might also add that there were no other guests at the desk then and 2 clerks. I give the 3 stars for location and appearance. This was definitely a disappointment.

Yelp
We loved staying at swissotel! A friend of mine discovered this place online and I'm so glad we decided on booking it for our short weekend in Chicago. It was in the perfect location and had spectacular views, for a reasonable price. The walk to a train or bus was not bad and it was insanely close to the lake cruise we took from the river walk. A huge bonus is the amazing skyline view and state of the art workout room. We didn't get a chance to use this space on our short stay but this is a huge bonus to have access to a gym this nice in the city. Everything from pelotons to a separate studio room, I was impressed. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and the bathroom was sizable and well-lit.

Yelp
A solid upscale hotel located in downtown Chicago that is not too far from the Navy pier and has a lot of great options around in walking distance. The decor and design of the hotel is very nice although the one area that I felt could use improvement was the managing of the bar area. Being that of a beer influencer with also a background in bartending, the bar was definitely an area that could use some stronger management. The service was disappointing for all that was planned at the hotel during my time there where there were multiple conferences, and some of the tenders over the period weren't always the best in the attitude area. Which for them wasn't my probably the best because there was a lot of tips that they could have picked up from all of the business people there, not too mention other guests that maybe weren't part of the conference. The fact that people were just showing up at a point with their own bottles and mixers at the bar kind of went to this. Rooms were nice with some great views and the food offerings they have from catering as well as the restaurant were decent enough as well.

Yelp
This was a nice hotel next to the river. It's within walking distance of everything and very convenient for that aspect. My coworker and I stayed here last month. His room was in a corner and had an odd layout but it had a great view and was really spacious. My room was a bit smaller with less of a view but still nice. I love the gym on the top floor. They have a lot of equipment and a couple of Peloton bikes. The view up there is so nice as well! They even have a room on the side for yoga or Pilates - or just more privacy. Everything was clean and the staff was nice. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
One of the best hotel gyms I've had the pleasure being exhausted in. Now that's a sentence I never thought I'd craft here on Yelp. We hosted our company's conference in the lower levels which surprisingly fit all of our attendees rather comfortably with more room to spare. Having the hotel within the property was helpful for the late evenings and early call-times. I would've given this a higher rating, but our room literally had the ventilation wide open with wires and pipes bursting at the seems. They responded quickly and gave us the corner suite of our floor, but coming back from a long flight to room so disheveled only added to our travel burdens.

Yelp
Was in town on a 6 day business trip. After a bed bug check upon arrival due to the reviews I noticed My comforter had stains and had to get it replaced. The bathroom shower floor was disgusting. Didn't have shower shoes so I had to put a towel down. I was on a 6th floor room facing the water for reference.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at the Swissôtel. This hotel is located at the eastern end of Wacker Drive and is conveniently located not far from the Magnificent Mile. It's a short walk away. Navy Pier is also a rock throwaway. The hotel is classy and relatively modern, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. It has the Palms restaurant right off of the lobby and another small bar. The staff wasn't very attentive; in fact, I waited to check in to my room for over 5 minutes because no one was at the desk. But beyond that, it was a pleasant stay.

Jade M.

Yelp
Nice decor and a clean hotel in a great location in downtown Chicago! I would recommend this place to stay at, the area seemed safe & there's a lot of restaurants and beautiful art deco buildings nearby. I loved being by the water & walking around and looking at the gorgeous scenery too.

Andreas K.

Yelp
It was great. I arrived early after a red-eye flight to Chicago, and they welcomed with a "Gruezi" and had no trouble to check me in, even with an upgrade. The corner room was spacious, with great view into 2 directions. Even the bathroom had a big windows with lots of light and view. In the morning, there were a few items available at the bar, including a solid coffee, a wonderful birchermuesli, and nice an crisp croissants. The location is very practical with everything easily reachable.

Yelp
Good hotel near the river. I've stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been good. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Rooms are moderate in size and has great views of the river. There is a bar on site that makes mediocre drinks. I ordered a margarita while there and it tasted like salt. The fitness facility has an amazing view of the river and of the Navy Pier. I would recommend and would visit again.

Yelp
Stayed at this great hotel due to unexpected delays. Quick check-in small gift shop and concession store but excellent room service and food. After check out they watched our bags for free at hotel services while we visited the beautiful city of Chicago.

Yelp
The customer service is not professional and rude and they do not know how to talk to people but the work is cool but overall i would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Yelp
Wow great convenient location with glam! Staff was very sweet and attentive The room was very clean with a beautiful beautiful view I was celebrating my birthday and they went above and beyond! Over all 5 stars thank you so much for the wonderful stay! Can't wait to return.

Yelp
The Swissotel exceeded expectations for this price point. The building is a unique triangle design so just about all of the rooms have a GREAT view. The workout room on the top floor is the best that I have ever seen in a hotel. My room was on the 29th floor.

Yelp
We used the Swissotel for our wedding block the weekend of October 28th, 2023. I cannot say enough about this hotel! First of all it is GORGEOUS! Our wedding suite was just divine with insane views of the city and the lake! We received so many compliments from our out of town guests on everything from how gorgeous the hotel was to how helpful and attentive the staff was! Isabelle was wonderful in answering our questions and making sure everything was ready to go for our wedding weekend, from making sure guest bags were handed out, giving us vouchers for hair and makeup stylists, and making sure the gorgeous hospitality suite was good to go for the bridal party getting ready on the day of the wedding! They made our wedding weekend absolutely wonderful! If we could give them 1000 stars we would!

Yelp
I definitively got bed bugs from this hotel after staying in room 1703. I checked in on November 14, 2022 and the morning of November 17, 2022, woke up with 30+ bed bug bites all over my body. I reported this to the hotel, they relocated me to room 2207, and I had to send an email to corporate in order to personally speak to Obeddie Hawkins, their director or revenue management. He would only comp my stay for the days I was in the bed bug infested room. I was made to feel invalidated and was being treated like a hysterical woman, not someone experiencing a valid and disturbing issue. The hotel claims the test results from a third party bed bug inspector came back negative. However, I have NEVER had bed bug bites a day in my life and had it confirmed by a Harvard graduated doctor via an online medical visit that Swissotel was the source of my bedbug bites given the timeline of their appearance and my symptoms. Swissotel, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I went as far as bringing a lawyer to speak to management, but Eddie wasn't available and apparently he's the only person who can comp people's stays. I am writing this review furiously as I feel pervasively itchy and experienced professional gaslighting from Swissotel. If you look at their TripAdvisor reviews you can see that since 2016 it is documented they have had issues with bedbugs. This is not okay for a 4 star hotel! Included are photos of my bed bug bites AND the filthy condition of their mattresses, this is why I do not believe their negative test results are true. Take a look at the dirt accumulation on the bare mattress.

Yelp
Pre-COVID review. I'll be honest. I've never heard of Swissôtel. Work sent me to a conference taking place at Swissôtel and set up accommodations here. Since I was already here for the conference, it was convenient to book a room in the same hotel and not have to worry about traveling time. Be aware that taxis and rideshare services may get lost getting here or have trouble finding the front entrance. My co-worker got dropped off by the nearby fire station and I was dropped off by the side street entrance for Swissôtel corporate events. Room accommodations are good and our bathroom was roomy with a nice small view of Buckingham Fountain. The room did get a little stuffy at times though, even with adjusting the air. They have a huge fitness center at the very top floor with some neat new equipment and freshly blended fruit smoothies available for free! There are two dining options downstairs -- the Palm (steakhouse) and Amuse (more casual) -- and I enjoyed my dining experiences at both. They offered a $10 dining credit for every day we skipped housekeeping so we were able to use that when eating at Amuse.

Yelp
This place was ass, they charged you for anything possible. you can't park your car at all without a minimum $60/night fee. there are no microwaves and they charge you $35 to bring one to your room. They charge a $20/night "urban experience fee" that you can't take off even if you don't want it and it gets you nothing in return. the staff at the front desks were super rude. all of the people in accounting are super rude. the only nice staff at the hotel were the people parking cars. the traffic in front of the hotel sucks. it's not worth staying here. it was like i was in an airbnb

Chad K.

Yelp
One star is gracious to say the least. I made two separate reservations from the exact same website in the same category and was told I need to change rooms to a less than standard room after staying the first night. Multiple people quoted different prices for me to upgrade to stay in my initial room, which I had completely unpacked. There was no compassion to help and seemed to be an easy fix. It really felt like Hansen at the front desk was going out of his way to make our stay miserable . I highly recommend staying at any other hotel in the Windy City. Such a disappointment is an understatement. Two thumbs down for sure.

Yelp
A beautiful modern hotel right in the center of the city. A block from the river and surrounded by restos. The riverwalk is close and convenient for a stroll with joggers and folks walking their dogs. I spent one night here when a late train broke my connection to DC and enjoyed my brief, unplanned stay. Good coffee and a very nice room on the 8th floor (with an impressive view).

Yelp
This review is only for the sound bad meditation event that was held their recently. I believe it is a monthly series until the end of the year. I was invited by a friend who is in the relaxation business and we definitely needed the time to unwind, relax and reset. This class was led and hosted by a gentleman who does this pretty much as his career and very knowledgeable about how the music and meditation really transcends and how is cultural and significance on how to heal your body through meditation. The space itself faces toys. The Trump Tower in various other buildings in the downtown area was very spacious, held at least 100 people I would say with ceiling to floor windows did note during this class that it got really cool in the room once the sun went down. So if you are taking a class, I definitely recommend bringing blankets or something to keep you warm or class was really cool and unique and I would definitely do it again. And I learned that there's no wrong way to be led into meditation and there's no wrong way far as meditating

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights while attending a Christmas party and bar hopping Wrigleyville. Nice location and good service from the front desk. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Yelp
The staff was friendly and helpful - the stay was not to my expectations. Friday night, I'm as traveling late so I checked in around 11:30pm. Nicole, who was the only receptionist at the time, was checked in a rather long line with of guest, quickly and efficiently. She even explained to me how to get in the parking garage. To access the garage, the ticket is digital and I unfortunately entered the wrong time frame but Tom quickly assisted me and advised me to let the receptionist aware that I would need assistance when I'm leaving. The room was large but it wasn't spotless. Small stains on the mirrors and surfaces. I extended my stay last minute and was not provided house keeping. I was assisted when leaving like Tom advised.

Yelp
The good: - View of the river from my room - clean room - quiet room and hallway with respectful other guests - respectful front desk staff The bad - The elevator stops very frequently and moves fast, you may feel nauseous after your ride if you're on a high floor. I work in a 40 story high rise office building, and that elevator is always normal, so not sure what's with this one. - you'll be charged $25+tax at check in for wifi, the coffee in your room, access to the gym, and shoe shining? a dumb amenity if you ask me, and the rest are free in most other hotels. - you have a mini fridge in your room, but need a microwave? $35 rental per day according to the front desk. what kind of hotel has rental microwaves hidden away in storage... - they have the most expensive parking in the area. literally just park anywhere else for a deal and walk 5 minutes over or uber/lyft - I attended the NYE party here and it was awful. If they throw one next year, don't do it!! not one bit of decor aside from plain black table cloths, no champagne or Prosecco available as advertised, they started running out of some drinks 30 minutes in. only one DJ was making an effort to be entertaining out of the 2 that showed up (3 were promised online). horrendous food that was fried bread and cheese based. I felt sorry for people with dietary restrictions because if you couldn't eat pasta or cheese balls, good luck! they also heavily inflate the # of attendees that will be there, not a packed ballroom at all but maybe a couple hundred people. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again, nor would I attend an event thrown here in the future. if you're just trying to lay your head somewhere at night with no amenities and don't mind extra charges for things that are included elsewhere, you might like it though.

Yelp
Our trip was 5 star from start to finish. My boyfriend and I recently celebrated our 6 year anniversary at Swissotel and could not have had a better experience. The check in and check out process was smooth, our room was clean and had great views of the river and Navy Pier. The location of the hotel can't be beat - walkable to so many attractions, restaurants, and more. A sincere thanks and shout out to Obeddie Hawkins, who I spoke with prior to our arrival. I wanted to make the trip especially memorable for my boyfriend who'd never been to Chicago before, and Obeddie planned a few special surprises that blew him away. Truly a trip we won't forget! Things to point out: The bar, Amuse, is open in the morning w/ breakfast options. There was no no housekeeping services at the time of posting, but there was a $10 credit for breakfast in the morning in exchange. A couple coffees and pastries are covered. There's a CVS very close - good for snacks, booze, etc.

Yelp
I originally posted a 5 star review of my this hotel, but am changing it and posting a warning to anyone who has stayed it is planning to stay.... CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS AFTER!! I stayed at this location at the end of June for work, I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for the weekend. At the time of extending, I booked a room through a 3rd party i app. When I went downstairs she let me know the rate to stay in my same room was different than what I paid, but we came to an agreement that I would be charge $40 more for the room upgrade. The front desk woman had me sign an agreement paper / CC authorization form for the $40 and that was that. A few weeks after my trip, I realized that I was charged more than the $40 I authorized for the room upgrade. ON TOP OF THAT, I was charged $249.99 twice and NOT REIMBURSED. The $249.99 charge was suppose to be a hold on your credit card for incidentals. I left the rooms in immaculate condition, so the charge would not have been due to personal actions. Swissôtel now owes me over $500 in credit card reimbursements and after calling the billing center 10+ times/ leaving messages, calling the front desk, and even having the front desk confirm they are sending me my billfolio, I have yet to be able to get this resolved or even connect with anyone in billing. @ Swissotel management - please have someone from your billing department contact this immediately before I escalate this further to higher management.

Yelp
Excellent location and price, very clean and chic. Nice restaurant too. Great views of the city. On the river and walking distance to riverwalk and downtown shopping

Yelp
Great location, excellent views, good place for a medium to larger conference. A little short staffed, I would have liked to see more fresh water in the conference rooms, and a shorter trip for fresh coffee than going all the way back to the front of the hotel. Conferences require coffee, there was always a line for the one barista, who by the way was excellent. Rooms are good, as is always the case with Swissotel, as expensive as the comparable area hotels. They do not have reasonable parking, you shouldn't drive here, it's pretty well served by Chicago's public transportation, the CTA. Park near one of the CTA train termini and leave your car there for your stay. Definitely take the train in from the airport, no need to rent a car in Chicago. I was a little confused getting off the train to find the hotel, and I grew up in Chicago. This area of the city has changed considerably. Lots of very expensive add-ons, the hotel is honest about them but just be careful. The restaurant is good but can't quite handle lunch and dinner rush times when a conference has packed in the hotel. Eat in the hotel when you need to, but do note that Chinatown, Greektown, and Bronzeville aren't far at all. A little farther out and you can find authentic Chicago style hot dogs (don't ask for ketchup), deep dish pizza, Italian Beef, real Korean, and authentic Polish cuisine. Like most hotels in the 21st century, you're not going to find a helpful concierge, so instead utilize YELP. Look for reviews by Chicago fat guys.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights for a work conference for wife. Beautiful hotel, little tough to get into, being in the heart of the city. Upper lower whacker street gets a little confusing when driving down here for the first time but I'm sure that's the same for all the hotels in area. But grip steering wheel tightly and go. We weren't going to valet park but after our arrival we quickly changed our minds. Parking is expensive but again, everything is here. Folks out front welcome you and quickly take care of car and offer help with bags. Front desk also were great. Bar and restaurant were friendly but you really have to get out. Everything is in walking distance and if not, plenty of Ubers in area. Prices for Ubers quickly climb after 4:00 PM we found out. But great hotel, great staff and we even had a view.

What a great hotel! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a spontaneous weekend getaway in Chicago last weekend. We booked our stay at the Swissotel the night before we arrived. I recommend booking your stay through Ebates and Hotels.com to get the best bang for your buck. After tax and hotel fees ($20 amenity fee per day) we paid about $308 for our stay. Last time we stayed at the Radisson Blu next door, which we loved. The only reason we chose the Swissotel this time was the price couldn't be beat! We loved the view from our king size room. We didn't ask for a corner or river room, but we had a beautiful view nonetheless. The king size bed was HEAVENLY and the pillows were amazing too. My only complaint about the room was that it was a stand alone shower. There was also a bath, but we don't enjoy baths (Loved the option, though!) The shower was kind of small, too. I'm barely 5 feet tall and I somehow had issues washing my back without hitting the door. Again, not a huge deal. Let's talk about the fitness center. Panoramic views from the 43rd floor! Clean equipment, lots of space. They even have smoothie's available for no additional charge at certain times of day. The fitness center has towels, a tv, ice, water. Bathrooms are nearby as well. I loved being able to workout here. I can't say I've ever worked out while on vacation, but the views could not be beat here. Oh, did I mention they have fitness classes and even a Peleton?! Yes, this fitness center is included with the $20 daily amenity fee but I believe it's worth. I'm not sure of prices for valet or parking here. Our car was in the underground garage on 303 E Wacker. We used the ParkWhiz app (which I recommend) to pay $55 for our entire stay. Great deal! Terik kindly checked us in and checked us out. Such a wonderful person to brighten up your stay. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
The room decor is dated, the lobby is short of space. The view of the Chicago River was great but because of the design of the building, the windows are quite short which wasn't nice for taller people. The bathroom was unclean, hair was found in the bathtub and even after the once-every-three-day housekeeping it wasn't cleaned out which was absolutely ridiculous for a so-called 4-star hotel. And an unexplained $70 charges on the credit card after check out while the accounting office barely answers the phone. I've stayed at a lot of hotels, and even most motels can do a better job than this one, I was utterly shocked. Be sure to consider some other hotels when you're visiting Chicago. I thought an hotel from a smaller management group would be nice since they have to compete with the bigger chains like Hilton and Marriott. Well, I made the terrible mistake of not checking the yelp review of a hotel before booking, and you shouldn't.

Yelp
Rooms were great. Location is perfect, right on river walk. Hotel lobby bar is convenient. Billiards and darts. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Perfect stay in every way.

Yelp
I'm here for a conference and it's disgusting. I received a double room since a king wasn't ready (no worries) but the countertops are disgusting and there's hair on the floor. In the process of switching rooms...

Yelp
2nd time staying at this hotel & still obsessed w it! I was on the 37th floor on this recent stay a few days away. My suite view was insanely beautiful & had windows everywhere with breathtaking views of the river, boats, & highrises. I usually don't stay in my room too long on trips bc I love venturing out, but I def had to indulge w some room service & bedtime chillaxing on my last day out of 3 nights here. Pros: - View - Spacious Large Rooms - Comfy Beds - Walking Distance to the bean/the loop area - Kind staff Cons: - No pool or jacuzzi- grrrrrr - Room service food was pricey, took wayyyyy too long (about an hour for a salmon salad), & tasted meh - A little out dated decor/ carpets Overall: One of my fave hotels purely for the phenomenal view

Yelp
Had a meeting here, and really enjoyed my corner room. About 5 huge windows surrounding the room, which was nice, but being on a lower floor, I felt like the surrounding buildings could see me through the windows so felt like I had no privacy. Including the bathroom unless if your blinds are drawn. Love how they have smart elevators as it's way more efficient. Food in the conference was surprisingly good and they are themed like German, Asian, etc. Con is having no Starbucks inside this hotel! If you forgo housekeeping, they give you credit to use in the bar or store, and I thought it was great to get my Garrett's popcorn. But I was super bummed that they ended up charging me more than it was ($22 not $20) plus tax!

Yelp
So I am Upgrading my review to three stars because after the check in and parking commotion, our room was actually very clean and comfortable. It was quiet in the evening and check out was very easy. We simply dropped our room keys into a locked container in the lobby. The management needs to devise a better check in plan and have an employee our front to explain the parking situation. They also need to just hire a valet. That alone would solve several issues

Yelp
Came here to spend the New Year's Eve. Reserved a lake view room at a high floor. Got a room with a decent view of the lake and the navy pier. The room smelled little dusty and not the cleanest to my expectations. The help desk staff was courteous and friendly. But I called to requested hot water. They said come get it in the restaurant, when I went there, they said "use the coffee maker in the room".. I offered to pay. They said $50 + tax. :( You won't believe, I walked to Starbucks and they gave it to me for free. The parking was super nice and convenient. As usual expensive.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel, but beware of false charges on your credit card! I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The location is lovely, right in the heart of Chicago and views are amazing I was worried about the amenities charge since I did use free internet as a member, but was not charged it, probably due to the conference rate. However, after checkout, I received a second notification that my credit card was charged that evening for $27 not part of my bill. When I called the hotel, I was told this was for water in the room. There were not any water bottles in my room. I went downstairs to buy water which was already charged on my bill, They said they would remove but did not. I finally disputed the charge with the credit card company but discovered this unfortunately occurred with many other conference attendees. I alerted our conference organizer. This hotel is nice, but not worth the extra fraudulent charges. There are several other nice hotels in the same area. I will probably stay at the Hyatt Regency and just walk to this hotel next time.

Yelp
It took a little longer for our room to be ready for check in, but it was nice when we got settled in. We appreciate that it is pet friendly and the staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and we took advantage of the discounted rate offering.

Yelp
I decided to spend my birthday weekend in downtown Chicago so I chose this hotel due to the location, reviews, and views. I searched many hotels and decided to go with this location. The events of Saturday made me question if I was in a Motel 6, Super 8, fill in the blank motel of your choice. We arrived Friday afternoon and while unpacking the vehicle, I happened to see a blueish/purple Toyota Highlander (I think) parked in the valet area. The vehicle could have moved at anytime as it was not blocked in by any means, but for whatever reason, the driver watched us unload (we made eye contact at one point as he was talking to another guy) and decided to wait until we are exiting to hop in the truck and honk his horn obnoxiously repeatedly saying "I gotta go, I gotta go". Mind you, rude dude and I were parked next to each other and pulled out of out parking spaces at the same time. He then drives on the sidewalk to the parking garage. Rude for no reason. We get to the room and the view is beautiful; Navy Pier and Lake Michigan, nice. We go out to dinner to celebrate my day and things are cool. Saturday morning I called (where I thought was the front desk) asked for someone to empty the trash, bring towels, hand towels and wash cloths; I was advised someone would be up. As I got ready for the day, I was reminded no one had come to the room. I called again, repeated my request and was told the same; time passed and we were ready to enjoy downtown so I didn't worry about my request. A few hours later we returned to the hotel (2:30ish) and I called the front desk again, this time the lady who answered said she was writing down the items I requested and would send someone up ASAP. Hours passed and again nothing from the hotel. We got ready for DINNER, left the hotel and returned around 10:30/10:45 pm. I walked to the front desk and spoke with Bernard who was pleasant (initially) and as I made my 4th request of the day, Bernard tells me I didn't talk to anyone at the front desk so it had to be an operator, looked at the computer screen and told me he saw all my requests and wasn't sure why they didn't send anyone up, but housekeeping is gone for the day so I would have to wait. Laughable considering that's what we've been doing all day, but I don't believe it so I advise Bernard I would wait at the front desk for them. Bernard tells me security would handle my request but they are busy at the moment breaking up a big fight and it'll be a about 2 hours before they would be done. I asked if there was a manager; Craig was a few steps away and I told him the situation. Craig said he would take care of it himself and asked my room number; I gave it to him and he went back in the door behind the check-in area. By this time I could hear Bernard on the phone with someone telling them the situation and by his response I gathered my requests were going to be delayed again. I mentioned to my cousin the payment for the room wasn't delayed. We left the front desk and returned to the room. Ten or so minutes later, Tom was at the door with what I requested and emptied the trash for us. Thank you. We settle in for the night. I am awaken from my sleep by loud arguing outside my door. Think of the Tickle Me Elmo release on Black Friday at Walmart. Chaos. I'm trying to clear my ears because the fight from earlier could not still be going on (I'm not sure where the earlier fight was located in the hotel, but I knew where this one was). I hear someone whom I concluded was staff speaking as one of the guests mentioned something to the effect of not wanting to be removed from the hotel. The arguing continues and it's getting louder; I can't possibly be the only one awaken by this. Remove them from the hotel already! They eventually SHUT UP and I drifted back to sleep only to hear it start up again. WTF! They should have been removed! It went quiet again and I went back to sleep. It's 6:33 am on Sunday and I'm so disappointed with this experience that I decided to write this review before we check-out in a few hours. Needless to say, I won't be back. Hope your stay will be better than mine.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. I was not mad at our stay. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows in my opinion were far too soft. The view from the room was nice we could see some of the pier as well as surrounding businesses. The bathroom is tight where the toilet is at so please be careful. The fitness center is phenomenal i would workout in there just because if i could. The view from the treadmills is spectacular please go up there!

Yelp
I don't know if these are paid reviews or not because hands down this has got to be the worse over priced hotel I have ever stayed in. First this room isn't worth no $360.00/night. Where do I begin? Swissôtell is catfishing customers online. They have you under the impression that they have indoor pools, Jacuzzi, sauna at the Chicago location but infact they have NONE of those amenities at this location. They are showing customers what their other hotels in other states have. My girlfriend was taking a shower and most of the water was spilling unto bathroom floor. We had to throw towels on it. The bathroom door is probably 10 years old and was badly damaged at the bottom. Then valet lost customer's keys to their cars and had these poor people waiting hour's for their car keys. But the understaffed valet driver's had no clue where they placed all these car keys they took from various customers. It was so horrible that the hotel had to give extended reservations time. Then the elevator was very confusing. I will never book a room at this hotel ever again. Shame on the management for taking advantage of their guests & wasting time, and money.

Yelp
the room we were booked for had a broken heater. front desk moved us to a room without the lake view we paid for. only after pointing that out did they offer to adjust the rate. then the room is missing a desk chair. when i call back, front desk offers to move me back to a room without a functioning heater.

Yelp
Sketchy hotel. Decent room, 3*. Deceptive billing, -2*, total 1*. Took credit card number for incidentals with agreement for amount to be charged. Reneged in morning with additional $80 charge.

Yelp
My partner and I stayed here in February, and it was a beautiful hotel, with mostly friendly staff and gorgeous views of our city. The room itself had a great view of the river, lake and Navy Pier, and it was clean. To mention it, the shower took a LONG time to warm up, about 10 minutes, it's a big hotel with a lot of floors so it's understandable, just something to mention. I will say, parking was a joke and very expensive, but you're in Chicago and should expect that, so be thankful your vehicle will at least be secure. Make sure you bring a small car! Parking can't accommodate anything over 6ft, and we watched a Yukon XL scrape his whole roof going down to the garage in front of us. I wanted to add that I personally have never experienced this while traveling, and although others may have, there could be people out there like me who were caught a bit off guard: they will charge you about $150 over the price of your reservation. They did not disclose this to me at all, and when I questioned the reason, they stated it was "prepaid room service" in case we had wanted it. I feel like this should definitely be an add on option, as I feel most people would be like us and want to try food around the city. Overall, although the views were beautiful, I almost feel as though I would have been better accommodated at a chain hotel. If you'd like to find out for yourself I don't advise against it, but I do think you may be able to find somewhere else and have just as nice, if not a better experience!

Yelp
Am I glad I wound up here! What a great place to be stranded. There was a storm on the East Coast. I missed a connection in Chicago and needed an emergency place for the night. Everything went right. After being greeted at the door and assisted with my luggage check-in was a breeze. My room was spotless. The beds were comfy and I loved the pillows. I had a chance to exercise in the fitness center but didn't have enough time to swim in the pool or enjoy the hot tub. From now on, this will be my go-to place when I stay in Chicago.

Yelp
Beautiful clean room, great staff and great view (after upgrading, at least) but taking off one star for having to pay for wifi and another star for the fact that there's no longer a pool. It's hard to shake the feeling you're getting a bit nickled and dimed.
