I'm a novice skiier curious about taking the leap. I thought I'd have to choose between crappy, cheap equipment or selling a kidney to pay for the right stuff. The legends at switching gear gave me the best of both worlds. Everything, used and new, in this store is the real deal. High-quality coats, shoes, jackets, and goggles for a fraction of their original costs. They helped me with the particulars of my shiny like-new von zipper goggles and I came away with some great base layers that kept me warm on a few powder days last week. Staff is super nice and selection is epic. With stores like this, there's absolutely no need to buy new equipment. Or, maybe if you're reading this, you should buy new equipment and then I can pick it up in a few years at Switching Gear!

If you’ve never been there, check it out. A stellar and knowledgeable staff. Some serious stock. Interested in Ortovox? Quality! Exceptional! Variety. Ask about their stash of stock not in the building. When in doubt, don’t throw it out. Consign it!

Stopped in on recommendation from SkiBig3 associate as I needed skis for my time in Banff and rentals would be cost prohibitive. The staff here were really friendly, helpful, and honest as I found the perfect fit. Great shop for gently used and some new gear. Thanks for making my trip to Canada even better!

Got a pair of climbing shoes here for $100. They were in great shape! Love this store.

This is a great place for gear!! I always find a gem when I shop here. The staff are awesome, and very knowlegeable about the gear they sell. I would absolutely recommend anyone who is looking for sporting or camping gear to check this place out before buying brand new items. Shop here, save some cash and the planet by shopping for used items, and then sell your stuff back to them at the end of the season. Win Win!

Y’all are fans of disc golf ? Please pull up and see Matt. If he’s not attending a professional tournament he’s in the shop growing the sport. I tend to go every payday to pickup a new disc and pick his brain. He’s a true legend. Please promote him to, if only in title alone, as “Global Brand Ambassador”. ✌🏾✌🏾

good variety of gear they have, but the prices are definitely questionable on most items. You have to really look through to find the good deals. I would recommend that they give a bit more space for the outdoor portion of clothing, as I could not move down an aisle without being squished into the clothing.
