My wife and I stayed here during the first week of December while visiting a friend and celebrating my birthday, and we truly couldn’t have picked a better place. This property is absolutely stunning — the mountain views and sunsets are breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, the staff across every area went above and beyond to make our stay special. The bartenders were fantastic, friendly, and attentive, and the service throughout the resort was consistently excellent. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained — easily one of the most well-kept properties we’ve stayed at in a long time. We dined at Viewpoint several times and loved it. The eggs Benedict were a standout, and the wait staff was warm, welcoming, and professional every visit. Although we didn’t make it to the spa this time, it’s at the top of our list for our next trip. As a bonus, I had great luck in the casino, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re already talking about coming back — honestly, I could see us flying in monthly just to relax here. A huge thank-you to the entire team for such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed at this hotel as a local for a little mini getaway and appreciated the great value for how nice it is. I believe we may have even gotten a free room upgrade as we wound up with a balcony on an upper floor with a nice view. Hotel is very modern and quite nice. However, there were some frustrations from our experience. First, one of our main draws was the large pool and lazy river which were closed during our visit for “winter” despite this being SoCal where winter doesn’t exist and it was till 90° that day in mid Nov. Coming from somewhere where it’s currently snowing, this was laughable and annoying. Second, we arrived with food and were bummed there was no microwave. I figured such a nice room would have one but that’s ok, I can go to a common space for one. Shocked to find out no access to a microwave exists on the premises anywhere. Third, for such a nice hotel, the lack of a smart tv with access to streaming services is a bummer. Further, the custom UI the tv uses was clunky and strange with channel browsing by network name only with no way to see what show was playing on each channel. Further adding to my frustration is the knowledge that the lack of smart tv and microwave are just ploys to get you to spend more time and money on the casino floor. If you’re here to gamble, then it’s great, but those issues were an annoyance to us non-gamblers. Could easily be 5 stars I think if those things were addressed in my opinion.

Google
The outside of the hotel & resort may not look like much, but the room was amazing! We got a deluxe queen with two very comfortable beds. The room came with a mini fridge, several complimentary bottles of waters and a full set of nice toiletries. The shower was just incredible! I visited the spa. My massage therapist, Cory, was superb! Definitely a fair price for the quality of service. The sauna and steam room were lovely, but the hot tub was strangely constructed. If you sat on the benches built in to the hot tub, the water would be up to your neck. Wonderful relaxation room! Finally, while the gaming floor is lively and has lots of slots, the games were super tight. Unfortunately it didn't take long to go through my play money. I'd certainly come back for the amenities, but the gambling is better in Vegas.

Google
Sycuan is, without a doubt, an amazing casino. What I love most is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that greets you from the moment you arrive. While the gaming floor is exciting and full of action, it still feels comfortable and relaxed. More importantly, the staff is second to none. They are so genuinely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home, which is something you don't find everywhere. Everyone seems happy to be there, and that positive attitude is contagious. It makes the whole experience more enjoyable. If you want a fun day or night out where you'll be treated wonderfully, Sycuan is the best bet!

Google
Sycuan is the embodiment of what a fine casino should be. Every time I walk through those doors, it genuinely feels like coming home to family. The staff remembers your name, the regulars become friends, and there's a warmth to the atmosphere that you just don't find at bigger, more corporate spots. And let's talk about the return to player—it's pretty nice, to be honest. I've had some solid sessions here, and the machines feel fair. You're not just feeding a black hole if you ever felt thay way because you actually get some play for your money. If you're looking for a casino that combines a welcoming vibe with decent payouts, Sycuan is the spot.

Google
This is a fun casino, lots of machines to pick from and they actually pay out. The service is good, very friendly. I have never been in the hotel part so I don’t know, but I would imagine the rooms are very nice. Its location is a bit out of the way but that’s ok.

Google
Love this casino and the hotel is always a great deal. Their property is about a 20-30 minute drive into the mountains away from civilization so be sure you have everything you need before you get there cuz there’s nothing within walking distance. There’s one gas station like 5 min from the hotel but thats it in terms of stores. Their property has several restaurants and bars which offer a wide variety of different cuisines, all with phenomenal food quality and service. This casino also offers a non-smoking section as well. Overall, great memories, great value and great times! 11/10 recommend!

Google
Peaceful location. Was there only to attend a concert. A cart was available to take us to the main entrance from the 2nd floor parking. We stood by the elevator and a cart passed by and gave us a ride to the main entrance. We were seniors. We even enjoyed the band that played on the 2nd floor where there were people dancing. There were staff giving out free bottled water.

Yelp

Yelp
UPDATE! Going to keep this short and simple... 1) RESORT STAY - had a King Suite (on the 9th floor) and it was comfortable as can be and very clean. Just wanted to stay in the room. If you are staying here you get free valet parking! Hated the badging system on the hotel door, they didn't work so great. The bed itself was so comfy but the down or feather pillows go flat real quick and not good for people who like firmer pillows. The bathroom was huge and spacious. Huge walk in shower that did the body good. Private bathroom door for the toilet. "ADULT" Chanel on the TV is PORN - literally thought adult as in nothing under pg13 and more like beyond rated R. Didn't like the occasional loud drunk people making noise in the hallway at 2am. Didn't like the muffler delete cars nor the stereo blasting cars below (noise travels upward) interrupting bedroom time. Not too many of them but a few coming thru. Besides all those minor things the overall stay was pretty good! 2) ENTERTAINMENT - lots to do. Gamble, bingo, music, concerts, bars, restaurants, etc. It was fun.

Yelp
I showed how this casino treat players. Let look all my picture below that is all my experience at this casino. I can say this casino is terrible about winning. They even dont give you any bonus with $300 put in when you just bet regular When I just have $100, I played table backjack down madness, and that is unbelievable when I did not win any hand. I stopped by at night and very few people around, most employees, compared last year or few years ago they lose a lot of players. They deserve that because they dont treat people good. Keep boycott and run away from this casino.

Yelp
The pool is a 5 star experience.... With the exception of the food, that unfortunately brings it down a star. Booked a 1 day pool pass for $25 on a Tuesday and LOVED it. We thought that by getting there at 11 AM that we would get really great seat selection but apparently the secret is out. We were still happy with our seats, they were poolside. We just didn't get an umbrella. They do provide towels, so another bonus for them! There are two pool areas and then a lazy river. The pool area is very modern and clean. I love that they have poolside service for food and drinks but the food was terrible. We ordered the Caesar salad and chicken fingers. I didn't take any pictures of the food but trust me it was not great. If you want to book a private bed for two people, it is $125 and according to our waitress if you spend that much on food and drinks, they take it off the cost of the bed. That that's a really good deal! I just don't drink enough these days to make that worth it and I certainly would not be eating $125 of that crappy pool food. The drinks looked amazing though! I wasn't planning on drinking that day, but I did get a soda water with lime and some fresh mint. I've heard that the restaurants inside the hotel and casino are much better. Apparently they have concerts that are a really good time in the pool area too, but the tickets for those are special events. I've seen videos from some of them and they look very well attended!

Yelp
POOL TIME! Every summer, me and my friends do the Sycuan Retreat Pool and Lazy river and it's always a vibe. My favorite thing on the menu are the wings, they are crispy and well seasoned. The service is always good and we always have good luck with our servers. Downside: I wish they will allow to bring back your souvenir cups for a discounted prized drink. They are already costly and I don't need a collection of them.

Yelp
I visited on a Sunday evening and had no trouble finding parking in the structure. The casino wasn't too crowded, and there were plenty of open slot machines to choose from. They also offer four restaurant options inside, including American, Mexican, and Asian cuisine. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable visit!

Yelp
The Padres Suite is sweet! In February we booked a room at Sycuan for two nights in late August for our 10-year wedding anniversary. A window popped up asking if we wanted to check out upgrades. Sure, whatcha' got? The Padres Suite was available! That's what. Hell yeah! We're in! Perhaps not a big deal to some but to diehard fans and Padres season ticket holders such as Becky and me, it was a huge deal. We've been trying for years, and it has always been booked solid for months. The suite was well appointed with mini fridge, in-room coffee, two large TVs (one in the bedroom, one in the sitting room). The king bed was super comfy. Huge bathroom with a walk-in shower that featured a regular shower head and a center ceiling rainfall shower head. Spectacular shower! The large L-shaped balcony overlooked the resort pools and lazy river below. Everything in the room was Padres and baseball themed. An armchair in the sitting room was great. A Rawlings labeled chair with tan baseball glove leather on the seating surface and white baseball leather on the sides with red baseball stitching. Paintings of Padres players of the past adorned the walls. A signed Manny Machado jersey hung in the kitchenette above the sink. The giant picture of Petco Park above the bed (with automatic curtains) was epic! Upon arrival we checked in with Gregory. He was super nice and polite. The room wasn't ready yet, but he got us all checked in and gave us our wristbands for entry to the pool area. He said we'd get a call when the room was ready. Not a half hour later we received that call. I returned to the front desk where I met Tara. She hooked me up with our key cards and up to 2102 we went. From check in to check out everything about our stay was stellar. The staff, the room, everything, well, except for gambling losses. LOL!

Yelp
I am not a gambler, but I love this casino for the great food, entertainment, and lazy river and pool! My friend and I enjoy coming here to enjoy mostly everything I mentioned above. We decided to try the restaurant Karma. I liked how it was eye catching because it was decorated in pink decor which was not only eye catching but pretty too! Pretty In Pink. Karma is an Asian infused restaurant inside the casino. We sat down at a comfortable table and the waitress came over to greet us and take our order. She was warm and friendly which made us feel welcome. We didn't take too long to order since we both were very hungry. I decided to get the Mongolian beef with white rice. My friend ordered the honey walnut shrimp, papaya salad, and edamame. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive. It was so delicious. My dish was a little spicy but it was so tantalizing to the taste buds! The waitress did warn me it would be spicy, and I was still going to order anyway since I like spicy food . I just added sweet and sour sauce on the side to add a sweet flavor and also to tone down the spice. It was perfect . My friend really enjoyed the shrimp dish and the other two items. We had a great experience here at Karma. The staff really works hard to keep the restaurant clean and tidy, and the waitresses work very hard because this place is busy and popular. The cooks are very talented because the food is so flavorful and presented artistically on the plate. Everything about this restaurant is 5-Stars from the colorful and beautiful pink decor, pleasant ambiance, friendly waitresses, awesome food dining in a clean environment was the perfect dining experience! I will be back soon!

Yelp
I've been to Sycuan quite a few times over the years and have always had a great experience, maybe not in the winning money sense but always fun nonetheless. This rave review in particular is for their Bad Bingo. We got a group together and were able to reserve a table together, one thing to note is that you need a players club to do so, and you also need one for bingo buy in. While you can get one at the buy in counter, I would probably suggest signing up before since the line can get long. I'd also say that the table reservation was a great idea especially for our first time since they give you a fun goodie bag filled with light up rave items as well as glow necklaces. Huge props to the staff who contributed to this experience, especially for someone's first time and really appreciated their positive energy. The MC was amazing, bringing so much energy and laughter. Love how it is encouraged to get loud and silly and get your dance on. This is a real 180 from other bingo halls that I've been to and it's refreshing to not be told to be quiet. I'll also say that the variety of games was unique and I liked them - my favorite was the dance battles. My only comment is that it was hard to see the dance participants and would've been nice if there was a stage. We didn't want the fun to stop and our group had such a fun time here at Bad Bingo. Highly recommend for those bingo players who are looking to have a raucous good time!

Yelp
One of the oldest and best casinos in sycuan. Partnered with the padres, a great place to try to win tickets. A hotel, restaurants, pool, best bingo, bar, non smoking section, high limits, and just minutes away from downtown San Diego!
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
When I continue to go back to a place it's typically because of the people who work there. Sycuan is no exception and while I do love the casino much more than any of the competition in San Diego, it's still the people who make my experience for me. So, that being said, I'd like to shoutout a person who was super cool during my last visit. Carnell Canada - sounds like a fake name, right? It's not! Carnell was the front desk agent and was super personable when I arrived a few weeks ago. Very friendly, authentic small talk, and in good spirits even with a recent knee surgery that sidelined him. Sycuan has done a great job staffing and people like Carnell have become the expectation, not the exception, and that's doing great things for my patronage!

Yelp
We come here from time to time for a pool day. During the week is more adorable than on the weekends and far less crowded. The drinks are kind of expensive but it's fun to float the lazy river or watch the game in the pool. Perfect for a ladies afternoon.
google avatar

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
Had the best time at the Sycuan Resort pool. They brought the vibes on Labor Day Weekend and had complimentary food including mini hot dogs, house kettle chips with 3 different dipping sauces, pico de gallo, a watermelon and a corn salad, turkey legs and even dessert in the form of mini apple pies. Def a welcome surprise that was open to all at the pool. Sydney provided great service for us at the day bed and the ambiance was relaxing, with an upbeat vibe but none of the guests were obnoxious. Looking into booking a cabana next time for an upcoming friend's birthday. Only thing missing is a good buffet.

Yelp
WOWZA!!! Sycuan Casino Resort is quite large!! They offer hotel rooms, spas, pool, casino activities, restaurants, entertainment, and much more!! The casino has slots, poker, table games, Asian table games, bingo, and high limit!! I believe they said there's 2,400 gaming machines. There's bingo, blackjack, poker, roulette, and craps. They have several dining options and bars. They also have special events. You'll have to make reservations for weddings, meetings, or events. They have golfing as well!! We had a great time dining and playing slot machines. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Everything was well maintained and clean. We will be back for more activities soon!!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Always a good place to go. The rooms are nice and clean!! The slots are decent too. Valet parking is only for hotel guest and black card members. The restaurants will have anything you need to eat.

Yelp
Our group booked 3 cabanas at the pool area for Industrial Monday (7/725). I haven't been to Sycuan since forever. Although I knew there was structured parking- I figured- let me just park in the front of the casino entrance. I wore my medical boot. Once I walked in the main door- I was greeted by security. There are metal detectors and prior to me walking thru- I inquired about the direction of the pools. So, following his directions- I didn't realize it was really a trek to get to the very opposite end. The stairs throughout the casino/ hotel areas are steep. Although accessible ramps are near the stairs- handrails are accommodating. Once you get to the top of the stairs leading to the check in shack of the pool area- it's best to take the elevators- which you'd need to walk back into the building. Once you arrive at the bottom level- adjacent to the Heritage Event Center- you'll use the EXIT double doors at the very end of the hallway (closest to the elevator). I was stumped for a few minutes because there's no signage indicated that this is the door to the pool area and I was afraid I'd set off an emergency alarm. Since 3 cabanas were booked under the reservation- some in our group arrived on time. From what I've read online, the time frame to check into the cabanas is 10:30am- 12pm. Mayra was our server for the cabanas and informed us we could place our belongings on the lounge chairs designated to our reservation, since some of us arrived before 10:30am. At 10:30am we could enter the cabanas and 11am food/ drink service would begin. You'll see the food/ beverage menu in each cabana. What caught my eye is ALMOST everything has a price next to it, except the cocktails. I found that odd. So, when I placed my cocktail orders- especially since I had two different types of cocktails (Peachy Keen & Hip Hip Hui?). Both cocktails are $17.32 each. I think cabanas are allowed 8 guests each? The mini fridge supplies cold waters and sodas (7 Up/ Coke/ Diet Coke). And will be replenished as requested. Any beverages left at the end of your reservation can be taken. Pool towels and utensils along with plastic cups are handy. Music was already bumping by 10am when I arrived. And this is exactly how a lazy summer Monday should be enjoyed! Mayra did such an amazing job always checking up on us. When some of us were at the edge of the lazy river- Mayra took some of our cocktail orders and I asked if she preferred us to stay in place and wait for our drinks. She insisted we enjoy the water and she'd look for us! Wowza! We kept our eyes on Mayra (LOL) and flagged her down when we were around the bend on the lazy river and she caught up to us. I ordered the tuna melt for lunch and wasn't expecting a huge overflowing sammie! There was no way I could finish the whole sandwich and have room for those super crispy seasoned fries! Thank goodness a friend took the other half. The thick sourdough bread is slightly toasted and you'll probably spoon the tuna overflow off your plate. 4:30pm is check out and last call for cabanas. 5pm is when they need to be cleared. But, you can still utilize the assigned lounge chairs since the pools close at 8pm. In the women's restroom- there's a huge jug of sunblock on the sink counter. There's a rinse off column outside of the restrooms. My friends were against me trekking all the way back to my vehicle with my medical boot. I wore my medical boot anytime I was out of the pool. Mayra had her manager inquire about wheelchair assistance. When (I guess it was the manager of the pool area? I didn't read the work badge) staff approached our group to confirm the wheelchair request- she radio'd security. At that time, she informed us everyone in security was occupied with something- and if we wanted to wait a bit for them to bring the wheelchair- we could. I asked if the wait would be more than an hour and we were told she doesn't have that information. But, the wheelchair is at the valet area. That comment threw us off. And a few guests in our party were not pleased. The concern was- and spoken to that staff member- how do Sycuan assist with disabled clients? It was odd. My friend took it upon himself to get the wheelchair from valet and bring it all the Way down to our cabana. And then- wheel me all the way to parking section E at the front of the casino. Thinking about it now- if the security that I encountered when I first entered the property offered wheelchair assistance- I would've been elated at the gesture of hospitality.

Yelp
This is definitely the best casino ever! Excellent customer from the front desk and the best customer service from s the ladies at Starbucks like Sienna. Stephanie. This ladies make a huge difference for sycuan. We come every months to enjoy a great ambiance and stay

Yelp
A nice casino in the SD footfills... Stayed here for 2 evenings and a nice experience. Casino was the typical tribal casino with interesting variations of Black Jack, Craps, and Roulette as compared to Vegas. I didn't try the other table games like poker and stuff. They also have a good assortment of slots. Very clean, things seem newer or refreshed. However, smoking is allowed for people in the bar and playing areas. Bathrooms were clean. The hotel and grounds is nice, clean. A spa worker told my wife that the hotel was built about 5 years ago. One thing to note is that the place it a little out of the way. No close by shopping centers and stuff. There is a Sycuan gas station and convenience store about a mile and a half or so... someplace you probably wanna drive to get to. So all in all, a nice experience. Pretty friendly staff, clean facility, have a variety of dining options, exercise room, pool (closed in winter), spa, table games and slots. I even got a bit of luck and made a small net withdrawal! Def would consider staying again!

Yelp
I've always enjoyed visiting this casino for its entertainment and great restaurants, which is why I was excited to finally stay here for the first time to celebrate my friend's birthday. We booked a room specifically for Reggae Sundays and called the day before to ask if tickets were required for hotel guests. The customer service representative told us we would need to purchase tickets, so we did. Since check-in wasn't until 3 PM and the concert started at 12 PM, we went straight to the event first. We arrived dressed appropriately for the pool -- in bathing suits, cover-ups, and sarongs -- and left our luggage in the car. After the concert, we checked in and come to find out from the host we didn't need to purchase tickets for the event since we were staying at the hotel. We spent $150 all together for our 3 tickets which was unnecessary! We then walked back to the garage to get our luggage and return to the hotel. To get there, we had to walk through the casino. While walking back, a security guard suddenly yelled at me, "Ma'am! Ma'am! Put a shirt on!" -- loudly and in front of a crowd of guests playing slots. I was shocked and completely humiliated by the way I was spoken to. My friend, also upset by the tone and public embarrassment, asked to speak to a manager. The guard became defensive, even cracking his neck in an intimidating way, and said there was no reason to speak to him that way. We were later told that their policy requires guests to wear shirts while walking through the casino. However, this was never communicated to us at check-in, nor did we see any signs posted. We were coming directly from a poolside event hosted by the property, so it was reasonable to assume our attire was appropriate -- especially since many other guests were dressed similarly. I felt unfairly targeted and body-shamed. We eventually spoke with a manager named Justin, who acknowledged that the security guard was out of line and should not have spoken to me that way. While I appreciated his honesty and professionalism, the experience left a lasting negative impression. As a business owner, I understand the importance of treating customers with respect and professionalism. Sadly, due to how we were treated, I won't be returning. I'd rather take my business elsewhere where women are treated with dignity and respect.

Yelp
My review is for the Casino only. The casino is larger than it looks and upon entering was pretty clean and modern. It was nice that they featured a smoke-free area as not everyone enjoys the smell of nicotine. They offered a decent selection of slot machines but were a little light on the table games. We did find some blackjack and roulette tables to play on but it would have been nice to have a greater selection to choose from. We can't complain too much about our experience as my son won some good $$'s and treated the family the next day.

We love that a casino is so close to us, we ate at the pink restaurant and the food was good, I wanted pho but the chef that makes it was not in that night, but we tried the salt n pepper shrimp amazing. They have bingo in a no. Smoking area and we love that.

Yelp
Had an overnight stay at Sycuan Casino Resort. Everything about this resort is premium. The casino was huge with many options to enjoy a brief staycation. From dining, spa/pool and gaming to beautiful hotel accommodations. I chose a premium suite that included a living room with tv, a bedroom with another TV, a huge bathroom with an oversized shower that, I swear, could accommodate up to 5 people that included an overhead rain shower and a standard showerhead. Everything about the room was luxurious and comfortable. If you come for an overnight stay, don't forget to visit the pool area. It's one of the highlights of this resort. The staff here was friendly and professional. Thanks to Sycuan Casino Resort for providing a relaxing visit I won't forget. I'll be booking another stay in September.

Yelp
On a random night we decided to test our luck and check out the festivities for Chinese new year. The entire casino was decorated transforming the space to really embrace and celebrate the new year of the snake. The lion dancing is always fun to see. As much as we enjoy the casino we wish there was more separation between smokers and non smokers as we would come more often but it's just too smoky for us to enjoy our time. We ordered whiskey sours and they were awful. Although, we didn't win we had a great time minus the smoke and drinks. The employees at the tables were mostly friendly. Some however looked like they hated their life. Constantly looking around seemingly distracted barely with us at the tables. Hopefully we will be big winners so until next time.

Yelp
The staff here is the reason I keep coming back. They ate courteous and always remember me. I am extremely disappointed with the freeplay dwindling every month. I spent 900.00 in the past two weeks. My freeplay went from 25 on Monday and 35. 00 on Tuesday to 15.00 and 25.00. That is hardly worth the drive and will not pay out. I hit my targets monthly so not sure why it is diminishing. I am going to have to start checking other Casinos. I know I am not the only one considering how quiet and dead it has been. I will still go but my loyalty is diminishing as much as the perks to being Elite status!

Yelp
!!WARNING!! During my recent stay, I was assaulted by a belligerent possibly drunk individual. Unbeknownst to me, he had been playing the entire row of slots. I casually walked up to play & was immediately met with hostility. He cashed my voucher & assaulted me. I'm 6' 1" 205lbs. Need I say, the situation could've went left. I kept my composure & requested security. After waiting an extended amount of time, a "floor manager" approached me to not only dismiss my concerns, but exhibit a very unprofessional attitude. The voucher was refunded & she promptly dismissed herself from the situation. I informed the security that took my information, & statement that I want to pursue assault charges. They essentially gave me the run around, & would then state that "Sycuan Tribal Police" refused to respond. Understandably, I excused myself. Embarrassed & slightly defeated.

Yelp
Hotel rooms are clean and nice and quiet. The staff in the hotel, restaurants, Starbucks, and casino were all so friendly and nice. Surprisingly we got to check in early. Reason for on 3 stars is the pool staff. They are horrible. You shouldn't have to flag a server down multiple times. They are good at ignoring you and acting like your an inconvenience. Reggae Sunday is my fav. I look forward to it every year. Disappointing to have such bad service at the pool and so good everyplace else.

Yelp
Late Post: 02/17/25 My friend and I checked in and Yusuf was the one who took care of us. He was very friendly and was very nice. My friend's name is Nadia and he mentioned that his wife has the same name. You can tell he loves his wife because he carries a piece of paper with his wife's name handwritten on it. It was actually so nice to see. He hooked us up with a balcony after I joked with him about treating us special in honor of his wife. :) It was such a nice experience to begin our staycation with Yusuf checking us in. Hope you are lucky enough to meet him one day. The room was so nice. Loved the balcony and it was nice to just hang out there and look out. Everyone that I encountered during our stay was so nice. We ate at Rank and File, Double Down Grill and Viewpoint, played Bingo (didn't win and I played twice) and gambled a bit (didn't win either). So let me tell you about our experience with Bingo. They did not have enough people taking food orders and so many people were annoyed including us. We didn't have dinner because we already planned to eat the chicken wings and soup from Double Down Grill and had to just suck it up and "survive" on drinks. We were able to finally order close to the end of the game and didn't get our order until after the game. We felt bad for the server but she was still so nice. This was also the case the second time I played but we got our food right in the middle of the game. The chicken wings is not the same anymore and we were disappointed. We always looked forward to it when we played bingo and it's not as good anymore. I also had a pedicure appointment before we checked in. You can leave your luggage in the concierge area while you go to your appointment. You get access to the amenities in the spa (dry and wet sauna), jacuzzi, lounge and showers. I booked my appointment with Lily. She always takes care of me and she is my girl. I recommend her 100%! Only one of the pools were open but it was pretty cold the whole time we were there, so we didn't really use it. Also, please note that the bigger pool and lazy river will be closed until after memorial day. Sycuan is my favorite casino resort and I will always recommend it. Good luck and have fun if you go!

Yelp
I had a great time at the casino! The staff was very friendly and I loved all the machines! I won $600! It was a cute old casino. I went to one of the bars and had a burger. That was really delicious!

Yelp
I used to visit the poker room a few times a week...but now, I don't go at all. They totally killed the ambience of the room with that remodel. Bright fluorescent lights in a poker room? Yuck. Loud music in a poker room...? Yuck yuck. What were they thinking...?

Yelp
Sycuan Police and some of the floor security seem to be completely unconcerned and indifferent to the fact that a woman and long time patron has been beaten, abused and has had her life threatened on their property and have been smugly dismissive, deflective of any accountability, and quick to twist the factors of my report into an completely unrealistic narrative of events that are not only insulting to myself and even moreso to the victim, but ones which would excuse them in not taking any meaningful preventive action whatsoever. I was playing a slot machine on the hotel side of the casino and a friend walked past and threw a crumpled ticket with her number and a note asking me to contact her. See posted photos for our correspondence. So far I've been told by security that the vip parking lot is not part of their jurisdiction and only the travel police can do something, she sounds like she's trying to get attention from me, the bruises look old (they were from 6 days ago which I guess makes it a lesser concern), theyve also are aware the convicted felon abuser totes and carries a firearm and has threatened her life on several occasions, and say if it was bad enough she would have gone to the police herself, disregarding the fact in most impoverished urban households, going to the police or filing a report of any kind will get you blacklisted, shunned and a target. Although it would absolutely delight me to take the law into my own hands and take preventive steps and measures, I will show restraint and abide the law. Its a damn shame I have to post this here where it will stand as a record in case their inaction and negligence have dire consequences .

Yelp
Super friendly staff in all areas from the moment you ck in to restaurants. Pool people however need a bit more training the waitstaff kept walking by me never asked in 2 days if I wanted to order I walked up to the bar got my drinks. Food great in the places I tried. Slots much better than other casinos I wish they had .40 & .50 minimum ones instead of .starting @ 88 .,75 but you play a while because you win more times then other casinos. Idea open cantina Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday. All you can eat crab delicious. One thing needs to change the room door it's so hard to open I tried for many minutes 8 times, 15 times very hard. Bed comfy - tv has a guide but no mentions of what the shows are just a channel guide. I would stay again!

Yelp
Food was not bad for resort food. We got the fish tacos and it tasted very fresh. Service was also great. We ordered at the bar and we even forgot to pay once since they knew we were drinking and having a good time so they just came up to us later at the end of the day. Ambiance was not bad. It started filling up around 11. For those who didn't book a day bed or cabana, I would recommend to come early in the weekend like 10 at least to grab a chair you want.

Yelp
Took a long break from Sycuan and it should've been indefinite. From start to finish this place is one big let down. The slots are extremely tight, the food is mediocre at best, the rewards are terrible and the clientele is seedy. With a plethora of options in San Diego, Sycuan should be your very last choice. Will not return.

Yelp
If you ever need a pick me up from the bar, go find Kelly. She's a godsend. Her cheerful boisterous energy will have you forget how much you invested in the slots and tables. She taught me that tequila is both a downer and an upper and now I can self-inebriate with greater knowledge and purpose. Before I journey through the slot floor to collect the social security I'll never receive, I seek her out for a lucky libation. She's off Thursday and Friday, but on Mondays and Tuesdays she's at the Viewpoint Bar, and all other days her aura is illuminated at the Crystal Bar just up the wide staircase and to the right. She works regular first shift hours and the lovely servers know her well. My favorite thing about her is that I can order by saying "what would you recommend for dealing with neck pain" and she lights up ready to create. The remedy was a Bombay Sapphire top off with sprite, club soda, and pineapple, and it was a lot more fun to consume compared to regular painkillers. She introduced me to the Perfect Manhattan, and so eloquently sold me on it that I was ready to subscribe. You can really tell she takes her craft seriously. On top of all that her greatest skill is genuinely making you feel like a regular even on your first drink. I've only known her 3 months now and it definitely feels like we were pirates in a past life. I imagine it's hard dealing with the energy of people gambling, drinking, resupplying, and the occasional long list of frenetic chicken scratch from busy servers that somehow translates to "2 redbulls 2 marlboro gold", but she really keeps it together. The entire staff handles it all pretty well with all the processes of using comps, special amenities, and finding that one player who ordered and said "I'll wait right here" only to vanish into thin air. I say this as a regular with over 20 years of gambling experience that started at Sycuan. Only bad thing is getting gas there is like going to war on Black Friday. As for everything else, always use your players card to get comps so you can try all the food places. The more action your card gets, the more events and hotel offers and discounts you'll receive. They go big with tournaments with fun themes and great food. The 4th of July fireworks show was quite the spectacle. When you play, if you think like a loser then you'll be one. Scared money don't make money. Always tip well and the luck will come around.

Yelp
Had a staycation with the hubby and we had a great time! Started off by checking in at the hotel. What a beautiful room. Had a slight view of the pool. Room was large enough, clean and they definitely take pride in making it look new. We then went down to the pool area where we chilled for an hour in their lazy river. So much fun! Towels were readily available for guests. Afterwards we went to Suerte and had a couple of drinks and then straight to Rank and File for dinner. One thing I don't like about the casino is that the smoke is super strong. To the point where I had a major headache and had to call it a night. I definitely recommend this place for a staycation!

Yelp
This casino used to have a buffet, but it was discontinued after the pandemic, so I hadn't been here in a long time. This time, I came for an event at a Mexican restaurant. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, but the food was just average. The drinks were great, though. The casino was crowded and bustling--perfect for some light gambling to enjoy the atmosphere.

Yelp
finally came here!! nice workers except one insanely nasty bartender. i came on my bday and apparently i made a sycuan account years ago and have never used it so they were supposed to give me presents but didnt. average age of people here is 77. went to play bingo. its really hard to win with a huge amount of people. $9 jack n coke is decent. better than $40 in las vegas. this is in the middle of nowhere so ya id like to come back but it took me 2 hours to get here!

Yelp
Finally made my way back to Sycuan! Went with my gf and her mom after dinner and it was worth the Uber rides. We had a ton of fun and some ups and downs on the casino floor. I honestly can say I'm looking forward to getting back. If you take and Uber make sure you book your return trip in advance.

Yelp
We spent the last two days at Sycuan hotel and casino. I have to say the hotel is spotless and the food was better. We had such a great experience. The only thing I was not thrilled with was the music at the pool was so loud I and several other guests left early in the day it was so loud. I ask the DJ to tone it down but out of spite and cranked it up. That kind of put a damper on my mood and day. I will go back to the hotel and the Bourbon restaurant because that was too shelf. Also the cleanliness of the entire place was top shelf. Plus the hotel staff was great, friendly and helpful, casino staff was great as well.

Yelp
Had dinner at the cafe. The appetizer, chicken lollipops were very tasty. Not pictured are the strawberry and pecan salads which were delicious but a bit small. The rolls were warmed but as the cooled became rock hard. We had a glass of white wine each. The servers were pleasant. Overall the price of dinner was around $60 and change.

Yelp
This was our first time at Sycuan casino. It's a easy 30 to 40 minute drive from San Diego airport. First off, this has to be one of the cleanest casinos that I've ever seen. Smells nice (unlike DT LV). The staff here are so friendly and seem to be genuinely happy. So refreshing to see employees who actually LIKE their job. Sycuan has over 2k slot machines and a sizable non-smoking area. They also have many card tables as well as craps and roulette tables. There are 7 dining areas. Options range from an upscale steakhouse to a pizza/sandwich/burger counter. There are 2 complimentary beverage stations as well. Which is a first for me. Gotta keep hydrated . The rooms are, in my opinion, bigger than usual. I love being able to walk around my room without tripping over my bags and shoes. Wanna give a shout out to our Host Jacob Vasquez. Mahalo for hooking us up with an extra night and dining credit! We cant wait to come back.

Yelp
From the start of your check in we were greeted by the warm embrace of Carnell. He made sure the check in process was smooth and gave us a great room with the view of the roof! The pool experience was excellent mainly because Jonathan the bar tender delivered a top performance! He is a top tier mixologist and even talked about various conspiracy theories! Lastly, we had dinner at the Viewpoint and were attended to by Abdul. Abdul was attentive and made sure the service was on point. Abdul said various times that he was not related to Kareem Abdul Jabbar to my disappointment. The food was excellent as well!

Yelp
An Excellent Multi-Purpose Venue to Eat, Gamble, Party AND Flirt In! :D SITREP I have had some wonderful experiences for a few different events here @ Sycuan. They are my favorite Casino Resort south of the Mason-Dixon Line! (IF California actually HAD a Mason-Dixon Line, so let's just say south of Fresno, okay?) :D Props to my muse, San Diego Yelper Extraordinaire Karen N., for guiding me on all my Sycuan adventures! :D THE SETUP This is (KINDA) a place where you can say you have visited "The High Sierra", as if you're in an old Spaghetti Western during the John Wayne or Clint Eastwood days: the local environment is that beautiful in it's own cultivated rustic way. The Casino was there first, but there has been a LOT of added energy there now since the Resort Hotel part of complex came into being. With that came some massive renovations that have led to glorious restaurants and spectacular ballrooms! RESTAURANTS: RANK & FILE! It was at the massively delicious retaurant Rank & File that we got to eat delicious cheeseburgers while participating in the fun 105.3 ROCK radio show broadcasting live from the restaurant. We got to meet and mingle with the morning show hosts and just have fun nibbling on all sorts of appetizers! BALLROOMS: COSTUME PARTIES! The Sycuan Ballroom is quite expansive and with the beautiful adjoining outdoor patio, really features a venue with a LOT of room for a large crowd of costumed revelers. The casino also featured THREE (3) separate bar locations within the confines of the ballroom so that we could enjoy getting a drink without getting old. THE LOWDOWN Definitely make Sycuan a stop on your itinerary for all sorts of fun. Better yet, if you have an offic]e or other social function you need to host, the Casino-Resort makes a PERFECT venue where you can party-hearty AND crash in your hotel room all within walking (safe stumbling? ;) ] distance!
