Went Sunday night and was kindly met by welcomes by staff and bartender. Bartender told us to sit where we liked. There were five of us in town for a work event and wanted to end our work trip here in Texas with a drink at your bar.
Server came up to us and immediately expressed that she would be leaving soon so if we were going to order food it would be with her, if not order from the bar. After stating that we told her we needed a sec to look at the drinks. She came back and my colleague asked if she could recommend a stout beer, she immediately snapped back with attitude and said "there are lots of beer, if yooou want a beer than yooou should open up that menu by yourself and look because I've only been working here two weeks and I'm not going to do that for you."
I understand being tired, ( the understanding is in that we have all been working 13 hour days, away from our families for that last 5 days), I also understand not knowing or being able to recommend, you could say "bartender would know that better, I can ask", but to just snap on a customer when they were just looking for a recommendation is so disrespectful. She spent the remainder of her shift scoffing, slamming dishes, and making us feel uncomfortable the rest of our quick 30 min there. Could even hear staff comforting her and asking what was wrong because she was, I guess, upset that a table showed up? Super disappointing. Luckily your bartender was amazing, super chill, and very knowledgeable and was able to recommend great drinks, if it wasn't for that server, it would have been a better rating.
Note to the server: girl, leave that at home. We all work, we're all tired, negativity makes the food go bad.
