Superb farm to table restaurant with a cozy relaxed atmosphere. The food was fantastic and you could see the care the team put into every dish served. Service was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful meal. Loved the pumpkin dessert, short ribs, and charcuterie platter. Definitely make a reservation. Willing to acco.modate allergens too, which is wonderful.

This was such a treat! I am so glad that one of my friends recommended this place. We ordered just about every dish from the starters menu and every single thing was absolutely delicious. The flavors, the herbs, the freshness of all of the ingredients was superb. A few of us ordered trout and it was absolutely amazing. My friend had rabbit and pork sausage and also enjoyed it. The bread was fantastic and so were the desserts. If I am every in MI again, I would visit this place on a heart beat. Amazing!!! So good!

This place is such a vibe! Everything was great. I wasn't a fan of how the pork is served and thats my only complaint. I feel that is more of a personal preference and not due to the restaurant. They were happy to change out my meal. The food is upscale and definitely different. I say that in a good way! We wanted an elegant romantic experience and that is what we got! It was perfect for our anniversary. I could go on. The butter is Devine! The bee sting flat bread with in house made ricotta was to die for! Even the palate cleanse they gave us before our meal was great! My husband got the chicken under a brick and loved it. Don't get me started on the toffee cake 😍

Wonderful, lovely, inspiring, dreamy and sweet. Not only do I love the ideas and philosophy of the restaurants menu, gardens and building- I love the food and drinks! The tastes, the atmosphere and staff are excellent and top tier! This is a great spot to celebrate at, have a romantic meal with a loved one or treat yourself to something yummy!

Wonderful farm-to-table experience here in Michigan! Staff made sure to make us feel welcomed and were very knowledgeable with their recommendations and wine pairings. Their cocktails are well-crafted! if you have the chance and are open to it, should order "Dealer's Choice" and let the bartender whip you up whatever they have in mind. The food was delicious and you can tell the attention to detail of the use of fresh ingredients is top of mind. Their bread service is great and served warm. Loved their steak and pasta dishes as well. Their servings are appropriate and will keep you satisfied, but don't expect to be walking out stuffed beyond belief! Dessert was mouth watering, and although not ont he menu, coffee/espresso are available! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in an elevated, rustic dining experience. Can't wait to try them again throughout the year, as their menu rotated based on seasonality!

Sylvan Table at Sylvan Lake is undeniably a beautiful property with one of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting, offering a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. The barn and main building have a wonderful rustic charm that really sets the tone. Service was friendly and attentive though we did wait over half an hour for our drinks, the manager graciously comped them, which was appreciated. The menu offers a nice variety of shareables and a few standout entrées. The farm-to-table freshness is evident in every dish, but unfortunately, flavor was inconsistent—especially for vegetarian options. The vegetarian pasta, for example, featured lemon and capers but lacked depth and balance, leaving much to be desired. Several veggie shareables leaned heavily on citrus notes, which became repetitive. On the other hand, the meat dishes in our group were a hit, with perfectly cooked and well-seasoned proteins that clearly impressed the meat eaters. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff did a great job making it feel special. The bread, served with garlic butter, ended up being the highlight of my meal: simple but delicious. The drinks, once they arrived, were fantastic, and there’s plenty of parking on-site, which is a plus. Overall, while Sylvan Table delivers an exceptional setting and warm service, the food especially for vegetarians didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by its ambiance, pricing, and reviews. Still, it’s worth visiting for the atmosphere and a well-crafted cocktail.

Last night was my first experience with this restaurant and the staff/facility knocked it out of the park with amazing service, delicious well rounded food and drinks. To top it all off, this was for a first date. During the reservation process I had mentioned in the comments I would be happy if they could provide a quiet private place for seating. Once I arrived I was greeted right as I walked through the doors and escorted to the up stairs seating placed in a far away corner with low lighting. Keep in mind this was 7pm on a Tuesday and the parking lot/building was full, for them to have a perfect accommodation waiting had me baffled. Our waitress was extremely kind and super attentive the entire time, she was very helpful in providing insight of foods and drinks. I later realized as we started leaving we were the only two guest left and the staff was clearing out slowly, they had been allowing us to remain upstairs talking while they closed. Not once did they rush us out the door or make us feel like a bother. We ended up leaving at 10:05 for reference, so well beyond their closing time. I will highly recommend everyone here solely based on that alone. Thank you to all the staff and our waitress for the perfect assist!

My partner and I went here for his birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience. Our server was so kind and informative, even giving us a brief history lesson of the barn and the owner's motive (zero waste and farm to table). We had the Bee Sting flatbread to start and it was amazing! For dinner, my partner had the rainbow trout and I had the chicken on the brick which were both delicious. We shared the mash potatoes which were good, just a unique flavor with the smoked hay taste. For dessert, we got the Peach and Cherry pie - both delicious! Overall, we would be back to try some of the other menu items as our server told us they change frequently. Such a beautiful location as well.

Finally!!!! I was able to check out Sylvan Table! I've been wanting to come here, however I didn't have anyone interested in coming. Well, I'm the type of person who waits on NO ONE! My good people this place did not disappoint! I should have came here a long time ago. The staff were very friendly (shoutout to Lisa & Josh) & accommodating, the food was DELISH & the drinks were just as good!! I love the ambiance here. There is a beautiful outdoor area to dine, an outside wood smoker, and 3 green houses! I can confidently say this place is one of my faves in Metro Detroit! I enjoyed the Chicken Under the Brick, mash potatoes, Caribbean Queen (cocktail), Lavender Haze (cocktail), and a radish veggie with an amazing sauce compliments of the chef!

This is by far the best restaurant in Oakland county- maybe in the state- it's definitely up there The eat local & seasonal concept is close to my heart and the food was just phenomenal- service terrific- there wasn't one thing I could see any room for improvement We sat upstairs (if you have trouble with stairs, tell them before you come) and that affords a lovely overview but I'm excited to come back for a happy hour bar experience too The whole fish is such an experience (please don't order it cut up for you - in that case, just order something else) This is the most delicious My husband said his beef was the best he's had in a long time The cocktail list is just FUN! Loved them!

We came here for our anniversary celebration. The barn is beautiful. It must be even prettier in the warm season for the outside scene. The service was excellent. Our waitress helped us take pictures, put a candle on our dessert for the anniversary celebration, and gave us a small pouch of lavender from the farm. In terms of food, we got the mushroom+brie, a bit surprised it doesn't come with any bread, so we ordered the artisan bread to go with it. The 3 butter options that came with the bread were excellent. I got the blackened catfish and loved everything about it. My husband got the short rib, which was a great dish, though it's more of a beef roast since it doesn't come with any bone. The basque cheesecake was lovely too. Overall, we enjoyed this place a lot. It's on the price end, but everything that came to our table was very enjoyable.

We've heard so much about this place and we were super excited to try it out. It's in it's a little building which has a beautiful external sitting area and internal sitting area. Both inside and outside are beautiful. Our service was very friendly and attentive. I wish I could say that I like the food. Although we can watch them making the food from our seating area, the food we had, and the menu itself was just simply uninspiring. Maybe it was the rotation timeframe that we came here for it wasn't great because they said that the menu changes every two weeks I had a pasta with mushrooms and we had the sirloin and also the brick chicken. All of it was just kind of mediocre and rather disappointing. The service, though was great we were there to celebrate a couple events, and they gave us the cute little candle and desserts in a couple little tiny plastic pigs as gifts it was very cute.

I love finding new restaurants that I can't wait to try again. Went to Sylvan Table for the first time and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The atmosphere is great. The reclaimed barn feel is beautiful inside and out. It is comfortable, but upscale. Much of the food is grown and baked on site. Everything we had was terrific. The meatballs and flat bread were great starters for the table. The entrees were awesome. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides were wonderful and tasty. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable about the food preparation and sourcing. It's the perfect place for a business dinner, date night or casual dinner with friends.

I have come here for dinner 2 different times. The menu changes slightly depending on what locally sourced. There is plenty of parking and what is nice is there is a light that allows you to get out onto Orchard Lake Road. I have only eaten inside and it is very quaint but nice. The food is quite rich. Both times that I have been there, we got a small bite from the chef after ordered. I could not tell you what it was but it was quite good. The last time I was there I started with the Butternut Squash Soup. It was good and exactly as describe on the menu. I then had a Chicken under a Brick. This meal, according to our waitress is always on the menu; it was good. However, I would try something else, something more seasonal and one that is not always on the menu. The potato side dish I got was quite rich but oh so good. I would definitely order it again. The one reason for the downgrade in stars is one that I understand but that is life. The restaurant does not (or at least we were told that in November 2023) that they don't do separate checks. For parties over 6, they add a 20% gratuity which is fine. The whole no separate checks was a bit frustrating because the whole order was just inputted in randomly instead of by seat. This means that you are on the honor system to kick in the right amount of money for your meal. I will probably come back though hopefully in a different food growing season

Please please PLEASE don't sleep on this place. They have a rotating menu, and everything is farm to table. It's super fresh and very unique flavors in the dreamiest venue. To start - this place is an old barn!!! So sweet and quaint. They even have a heated outdoor patio that was so cozy and would seem like the perfect place for a date night. I came here on a busy Saturday night with some girlfriends and we basically ate through the menu! Since it was my first time (my friends had gone before), they let me choose all the apps. So I chose EVERYTHING and it was ALL delicious. Like, nothing was NOT good. For an entree, I had the Michigan walleye and the purple rice was just *chefs kiss*. I literally can't speak of this place more highly because it is just PHENOMENAL. Go and try ANYTHING on the menu and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Really nice building. I think an old barn. There is a small lounge area with a fireplace that is nice. We were seated in a large room at the back with glass ceiling and large fireplace. So load could not hear person across the table. Service was OK, but could have been better. We started with a burrata with beets, but really only a few tiny slices of beet, not even a fork full. A couple of us had the Jerk Seasoned Goat and were wondering where the jerk season was. One of our group had a chicken dish and said it was almost tasteless and need salt and the potatoes were undercooked and tasted muddy. Another had a pasta and said it was OK. Decided to skip desert. Believe George!

Amazing food and amazing service. We were the last ones to leave but never felt like we had to go! I love that the menu changes seasonal, defiantly will be back.

Happy to say that we finally made it here!! This place is hard to get into! At first we were sat in the bar area but I really had my heart set on sitting in the back room with all the windows and fireplace, I'm glad we asked to move because it was such a lovely glow as the sunset. We came for our anniversary. All of the food was really great. You can tell how much care and thought is put into each and every recipe! I loved the chicken. I think it came with beets, which I didn't think I liked, but I was loving them with this dish! My husband got the NY Strip and said he thinks this is the best food we've had! I'll probably be thinking about the strawberry shortcake dessert for the rest of my life. It was well worth the wait! Now to plan our next visit!

I always love Sylvan Table but we just finished a great meal with Madison as our serve. She was so lovely and personable. She helped with dietary allergies and was just great. The trout was amazing, the mashed potatoes and carrots were fantastic! I wish every experience eating out with a gluten allergy was this great. Sylvan Table, thanks for having a well-labeled menu and lots of gluten free options.

The fact this restaurant only has a 4.2 is criminal. My Fiancée and I came here for our anniversary dinner and frankly were blown away. The staff was kind yet personable, and the environment was one of the most unique I have seen in southern Michigan. Finally, our food surpassed our expectations for what midwestern food could be. GET THE MEATBALLS!!!

The food was very good and filling. me and my aunt decided to come here cause the other place we would've went was closed and you guys were amazing! I love all the history attached the place and the staff was very helpful and friendly. the service was good for how packed it was when we came. the whole place felt like some kind of fairytale restaurant and we loved the live music. we would definitely come back!

Went here for the first time a few months ago & it was fantastic! The atmosphere is great, there's a cute little gift shop, & upon entering you can see into the kitchen which I always think is pretty cool! Nichole was a wonderful server! She gave great recommendations & told us the story behind the restaurant. She was able to tell us what was freshly picked that day & which (on-site) spot it came from. The food was delicious! We tried the bee sting flatbread & it was AMAZING! I had the gnocchi bolognese, my husband ordered the pan-roasted duck breast, & we split the patatas fritas. Then we ordered the strawberry cobbler for dessert. I was very unsure of the Brie ice cream, but it was SO good! I can't wait to go back to try more food!

After hearing lots of amazing things about this farm to table restaurant, we checked it out. The service was good, and the vibes were pleasant. We loved walking around the grounds seeing the various gardens and living roof area. The food was okay. The meal started with a leaf of lettuce to cleanse the pallete and taste the fresh picked flavor. The meal options were diverse, and the desserts were decadent!

Sylvan Table is an incredible farm to table experience! The ambiance was amazing. Brussels sprouts and duck were very good, mashed potatoes and rigatoni were good, and honey cake dessert was solid. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and definitely enhance the experience.

I've heard really good things about this place, but I was surprisingly underwhelmed and frankly disappointed with my food here, which was disheartening! They are clearly super passionate here about creating a sustainable farm, which they say takes 7-9 years and they are currently on year 2-3, so I know it's still early. But it's also not so early that they don't know what they're doing. They clearly have a great set up, they have a butcher downstairs preparing the meat, a whole set of garden beds, greenhouses, barns, etc. and a whole staff in the open kitchen that you can see hard at work. Truly the ambiance carries this place and is so divine, especially with their patio set up and we didn't even sit on the patio! The interior of Sylvan Table is also gorgeous and I would give the ambiance here 6 stars if I could. But then when it came to service and food - oof. With service, I'm not mad by any means, I just think that maybe they lack in waitstaff a bit because on a Tuesday evening at 6:30 when my friend and I first sat down, our waiter was incredible and constantly checking up on us and answering all the questions we had. But after we had put in our order just for our starters, we started seeing her a lot less frequently. It wasn't until our starters came out (which took a surprising amount of time to come out) that we finally placed our order for our mains, sides, and dessert all at once. At one point she did mention that there was a huge group at the front a party of 20 or something, so I could maybe understand the hold up, but we ended up spending close to 3 hours here, which is truly unheard of so it was definitely something of note. I'd give the service maybe 4 stars. Now for the food...honestly this was unfortunately the most disappointing part. First off, love that the menu is allergen friendly - my friend was gluten free and she had plenty of options to pick from on the menu. I would love to see more options in the way of vegetarian and vegan dishes (typically just 1 dish from each section of the menu), but I appreciate them even having options to begin with. But overall, the food was not that great at all even though everything sounded good from the menu, but I think overall nothing blew us away and in fact, some of it we had hopes would be a good combination of ingredients, but the actual dish didn't taste that good or even went as far as offending my palette, which I feel like never happens. To begin, we got the chicken liver pate and charcuterie board for our starters. My friend and I had never had pate before, so that's on us that we really didn't like it. I took 1-2 bites of it and couldn't continue and neither could my friend. We disliked it so much, we considered asking them to take it off our bill, but ultimately didn't. Ironically, when our waiter came back to ask how the food was and we politely told her that the pate was not for us, she said that she didn't like that one either and wouldn't recommend it...LOL! OK then why didn't you say something BEFORE we ordered it haha. Charcuterie was fine, not enough meat on the board compared to the bread, cheese, and fruit offerings. For our mains we got the short rib and monkfish and for our sides we got the patatas bravas and roasted cauliflower. In short, the sides were the best part. I highly recommend the patatas bravas and then honestly, I don't recommend anything else from what we ate. The short rib was good and well prepared. The cauliflower was again good, but came out lukewarm and not super crispy given the roast/char on it, which was texturally confusing. The monkfish was the other item that offended my palette. Whatever creamed corn, seeded, green tomato concoction they put below the monkfish did not go together and made my taste buds freak out. The sauce drizzled over the monkfish wasn't great either. It was disappointing because I normally love monkfish, its texture, and its taste! Lastly, for dessert we got the corn creme brulee. I had high hopes because I love corn and creme brulee and could imagine this going together so well. It was OK...the creme brulee was overly bruleed, so the sugar was burnt which made each bite taste bitter. The corn added nothing and didn't blend with the creamy texture of the custard the way I expected it to. As you can see, we ordered from every corner of this menu and for how expensive our bill was at the end, none of it felt worth it. I'm glad I experienced Sylvan Table, but I really don't think I'll be back anytime soon because I firmly believe that this place is not worth the hype. It's such a beautiful space and they what they're setting out to accomplish is so admirable, there's just a huge gap between the mission and delivery in my perspective. I might be interested in coming back in a few years maybe to see what has changed and how they have become more sustainable, but as of right now...I'm good for the time being and I'm so disheartened to say that!

Militently pretentious food in a militintly unpretentious setting. The food is excellently conceived, but not always excellently executed. Fancy stuff done with ingredients that would delight perhaps even more if presented simply and well. "We know we are hot s**t " service. Noisey acoustics. Not a cosy place ​

Excellent haute food. Each dish delivered to the table was excellent and the old barn was such a special setting. That said, parents bringing screaming toddlers when the bill is north of a 100 really is a downer. Hire a babysitter.

What a spectacular restaurant right here in Sylvan Lake, Michigan with the Upnorth feel & spacious coziness of a spacious cabin! The decor is outstanding! Great music playing!! unique lighting, warm fires, gift shop! This place is unbelievable.. Very clean, the wait staff was so welcoming! I love the fact that you can see the kitchen and know what's going on. Tonight was just a second stop, so I only had a wonderful cocktail w/ great bartender "Josh"...just wanted to stay by the fire and sip away!! q I am so excited to come have dinner here !!

Our experience was not as good as the first time we were there (which was over the summer and really great). This time, however, our waitress was extremely slow. It took forever for her to come over and then even bring us our drinks. We ordered chicken under a brick, which was unfortunately pretty over cooked, and the pancetta pappardelle, which was too al dente. It's no surprise that the second glass of wine we ordered took a long time too. The waitress also didn't bring us the amuse Bouche until we asked about it because it was on the bill. And even then it wasn't like "oh sorry I forgot to bring that to you." It also wasn't super busy at the time we were there. So all that to say, we were disappointed and may not be going back for another mid dining experience.

The food was delicious! It's a bit noisy. We had great service. Very good and interesting craft cocktails.

Found this place while searching for a team holiday dinner close to the Pontiac area. A gem of a find. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and the evening was an amazing gathering for friends and family. The price and portions are reasonable for the quality and care the chef clearly takes in each meal preparation. So glad they were able to accommodate the group of 12 and look forward to introducing many more family and friends to this rare find.

Recently had a wonderful evening here. Everything from the cocktails to the bread service to our entrees was delicious! You could tell a lot of thought and intention went into every ingredient in every dish. Exceptional service and unique atmosphere, too. I probably won't frequent this place due to the price range (4 drinks, bread service, 2 entrees, and 2 sides came in at $185 before tip), but will certainly keep it in mind for special occasions. With their wood fired pizza ovens, I would love to see a variety of unique/seasonal wood fired pizzas on the menu at a lower price point.

This place is 5 star for me! Incredible service. Some tables are likely better than others. We were seated upstairs with great view looking down. Our drinks were incredible and everything we ordered was amazing. It's high end prices so a special anniversary dinner for us! Absolutely love the thought, mission and presentation. Walking around the grounds / farm is very nice. You will not be disappointed.

We headed over to Rochester to see what food options we had for dinner. After walking up and down the small strip we decided to head elsewhere. Sylvan Table had been on my radar so we thought we would give it a try. We didn't know reservations were a must when stopping in but they were very accommodating with setting up a table in the outdoor tent. It was about a 20 minute wait which we were more than ok with. We did need to eat with our coats on since there were only a few heaters and had to ask the waiter if he could move one closer which of course he didn't mind doing. Next time we will come prepared and make reservations to sit inside because it is so warm, lively and cozy. We both ordered the Deckle Steak with chimichurri on top with a side of brussel sprouts. The steak was so buttery, not too fatty, and there was a good amount of chimichurri to go with the steak. We have been wanting to go back ever since but it is quite the drive for us. I have recommended this restaurant to many since I've tried it. Hoping to be back soon!

Eek...sorry that I don't agree with the others. Frankly I have perhaps the wrong diet for this type of food. But farm to table, they should have vegetables, right? I struggle to find something appealing that is vegan here. For a long time my friends wanted to go here when it was new and popular - so we came several several times. Here are the cons in my view: Very loud Not comfortable seating - the bench that seemingly I've sat at many times is too short for normal legs. So you feel like you're hanging off Strange menu - maybe better if you share with friends Small portions/expensive Unpleasant staff - I've had issues with my meal and they were not moved to make the situation right. I was flat out missing a meal at one time, and then had to ask them to just remove it from my bill. I just don't get it. I'd never chose to come here.

Lovely atmosphere. Food is ok although a little overpriced for what you get. The bar is very nice and well stocked. I would say 4 stars if it wasn't for the service. Usually I don't pay much attention to service but our server was exceptionally bad. Maybe she was having a rough day. From forgetting to bring drinks (but not forgetting to charge for them), not ringing in orders as taken (we asked for deboned fish; it came whole), to just ignoring requests at the end of the night and not coming back. We were a larger group and she was getting an automatic 20% tip anyway, so it was obvious she could care less. We still had a great time because we were with a group of friends but honestly, the most memorable experience from the night was how bad the service was. Might give it another try and hopefully will have a different server.

Everything about this place is awesome. A great spot to get dinner in the winter, sitting by the fireplace. The food is always fresh and cooked well. Definitely would recommend for your next date night!

A really cool place to eat ! An old barn renovated. A bit loud but everyone was not only dining but having fun. Food choices were delicious. The trout was amazing as were the dumpling appetizers. Service was great. William , our waiter was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and history of the place. Will definitely return.

Beautiful and delicious gourmet food. The building is a 300 year old barn from Vermont ! They grow a lot of their produce and locally sourced meats, poultry and fish. Great service and we met the sous chef, Vlad who is from Ukraine, which is my heritage as well. The chef treat was a buckwheat cake with horseradish which was quite tasty. I had the duck breast dish, hubbie and the jerk goat. Very inventive and flavorful food. Drinks were awesome as well.

Absolutely great food! Was visiting out of state on a business trip. The trout was delicious and all the other dishes were good! We did have to wait a while to order. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated. Was a bit loud and cold inside.

This is a beautiful restaurant with fabulous food! Unfortunately, our service was so bad that I thought about emailing the manager. They had 2 servers who were supposed to be working together. I'm not sure if they were not getting along or if it was just a miscommunication, but the service started out great. However, once our food was delivered by the food runner, no one ever came back to our table. We saw the server who took our order, but she wouldn't even make eye contact with us. Eventually, we flagged down a bus boy, and he found a different server to finish off our dinner, but by then there was a huge damper on the dinner. It my birthday so it was kind of sad.

Amazing atmosphere, magical really. Service is amazing, everyone loves to create a memorable experience for their guests and it shows!!

Tough to get reservations but easy to get a bar seat if you arrive at opening. This is a place that people sit and take their time, not an in and out quick turnaround so expect a bill in the $100-$200 range for two adults. Going in knowing that and having the experience is great. It's a warm ambiance with a wonderful backstory, an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list and a commitment to sustainable local food. There are vegan and vegetarian options for both apps and mains and I told our bartender the food actually gave me goosebumps. It really is a culinary experience. Great bartenders too with approachable personalities and smart suggestions.

Love this place. Food is actually outstanding so you're getting the atmosphere and high quality delicious eats. It's worth it. Almost all of the dishes I've had there, was like holy whoa, this is awesome...FB2LB (first bite to last bite)...the law of diminishing returns does not apply to many of their dishes. The only disappointing and heartbreaking breaking thing here is....that they change the menu.

There is nothing about Sylvan Table that was an excellent and carefully crafted, from the flow of the restaurant, to its knowledgeable staff, to its precisely cooked meals and expertly crafted cocktails, it's our go to whether we want to celebrate an occasion, or simply have a nice meal out.

Romantic setting, fresh fare and friendly faces! On the menu when I visited were a beet salad with sunflower butter and the trout. Both were divine!

Beautiful restaurant, great service, great food! Went for a birthday dinner; the mushroom flatbread was amazing, had the short rib for dinner. The meat was super tender but I do think it could use a little sauce. The pork tenderloin was the best cut I think I've ever tasted. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

Service was great, I'd already read the reviews and noticed that the food got so/so reviews. We visited for an anniversary dinner and I chose the restaurant 100% for its ambience, so personally I had already tempered my expectations, but hoped for the best. My wife eats very whole food based, very low sugar, etc. and was excited about the emphasis on simple, clean ingredients. We had a few appetizer/sides, some mocktails, and two entrees. The food was ok, but a little too plain and simple. There's whole food fresh ingredients, and then there's putting some beans and carrots on a plate. There were a few subtle flavors mingling in each dish, but everything was very mild and entirely forgettable. It's not the most expensive restaurant in the area, but it's also not the cheapest, and for what it is it was just too plain and lacking in any memorable flavors. The place is beautiful for a date, we sat in the greenhouse type area and loved the environment, but in discussing it on our way out neither of us was compelled to want to come back for another try. Perhaps one day we'll hear that they've made major changes to their flavors, and if so we would love to visit again, but until then I think that's probably it for us!

This was my third time at this restaurant and the food is always on point! The food is farm to table and fresh so the menu is changing seasonally. Everything is cooked perfectly and always flavorful. The tomato salad had a white balsamic and olive oil dressing that was so tasty! The bread is always warm and fantastic and the butters change as well. The cocktail menu changes as well and I've never been disappointed with any of the drinks. They are always unique and use high quality ingredients! I recommend making a reservation well ahead of time especially if you want dinner time on a weekend. The restaurant is definitely worth the air though! The ambience is very cool as it's a restored barn and the land out back is used for farming. There is also plenty of outdoor seating for the warmer evenings! Overall, this place is a must try if you have never been!

Honestly one of the best restaurants I've been to wish I could give it 6/5 stars The food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. Also the fact that it's in a 300 year old barn and that they are fully sustainable using their own produce grown on site and use every little bit of it. The chef even came out to our table and talked to us for a bit which was a nice touch.
