In fact I need you to, because that’s what I do inside The Green Truffle, an unassuming and brilliant Italian deli on the Roman Road. Most recently it was as I crunched into my scamorza, mortadella, and marinated artichoke creation. The lyrics went something like: ’Hey panini, you’re tasting pretty creamy, thought I wanted you to go but now I’m glad I ate you sitting.’. It’s not my best, I know, but the produce in here is. Choose from bresaola, multiple salami varieties, mortadella and a whole load of other meats to pair with smoked provolone, scamorza, and all varieties of formaggio. I wanted to like this place, I really did - considering the atmosphere and staff were absolutely lovely. However, the food - it just wasn't good. The portions are really small for the price and the menu was pretty limited. The seafood ravoli didn't taste fresh, had no sauce and was super salty - and there were only about 10 pieces of ravioli on the plate. The venison was super chewy. Despite being local, I sadly wouldn't come again for food. But worth popping in for a glass of wine!

Lovely food and lovely hosting. With a beautiful campania anchovy to top the meal off - brought me back to my home! Amazing wine pairings too and very generous letting you try before you buy.

Wonderful bar and restaurant with an excellent, elegant and minimal Italian menu. Food is delicious and the drinks selection is fantastic and well curated. Great service, friendly and personal, and a quiet, relaxed ambience. Very good options for vegetarians/vegans as well.

Came here for lunch the other day - starters, mains, dessert, and a bottle of wine. Really tasty food. Some of the dishes were deceptively simple but all delicious. Extensive wine list from different regions across Italy. Also the staff were so nice. I'll definitely come back.

We came here twice and the food was amazing! I cannot recommend the tiramisu enough, so tasty! The owners are absolutely adorable too and will go out of their way to be helpful, make recommendations and explain what's on the menu. The deli / street food takeaway is also fantastic. Such a wonderful local business :)

Super nice food and staff. We had a really wonderful meal there, and all of the food were carefully made and with excellent tastes. Also the staff were 100 percent friendly. Definitely recommend the restaurant. The photos will explain the reason I recommend it too.

We went there for dinner on Friday night. The vibe was very chilled, beautiful interior in the inner part. We had beef cheeks (really nice and tender, good sized portion) and duck salad (good, but the duck was overdone). For the mains we had lasagna (decent quality, but a bit dry for my taste) and rabbit (very good). An amazing selection of Italian wines. The service is really, really friendly and very attentive. Overall, a nice local gem both for dinner or just casual drinks with some Italian cheese and meets. Would definitely go back.

We went here last night and had starters, mains, and shared and dessert and a bottle of wine. The food was incredible some of the best pasta I’ve ever had and my boyfriend said his dessert was amazing. The owner/ staff was lovely and so attentive and the restaurant itself was beautiful. 10/10 would red and would go again!
