Syun Japanese Restaurant – Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore I had the privilege of being invited by friends to dine at Syun Japanese Restaurant in Resorts World Sentosa, and it was a truly pleasant experience. As the three of us were not overly hungry, we opted for light and simple dishes, just enough to enjoy the flavours without feeling rushed or heavy. The food quality was excellent, showcasing refined Japanese flavours with careful attention to freshness and presentation. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, allowing the natural ingredients to shine. What stood out just as much as the food was the service, attentive, polished, and genuinely warm, making the entire dining experience feel relaxed and well taken care of. Having dined at several restaurants within RWS, including Feng Shui Inn and CHIFA (the Peruvian-Chinese restaurant), I find that Syun maintains the same high standard that RWS is known for, consistent quality, good ambience, and professional service. Thank you to my friends, Ms KL Lee and Ms KH Lee for the lovely invitation and for introducing me to yet another wonderful dining experience at RWS. A place I would be happy to return to again.

Zen atmosphere. Superb service. They gave free dessert for our anniversary celebration. Barachirashi is very fresh with the well seasoned rice. Daughter tried the curry set and it was delicious.

Environment atmosphere feels cozy yet classy. The food was excellent, freshest sashimi ,especially the grilled pork chop which had a great texture. Many thanks to the Chef Boon for thoughtfully preparing such a delicious meal for us. I highly recommend come and try it — make sure to look for the handsome Chet Boon.

Excellent fine dining restaurant. Our serving waitress Kar Poh was very helpful and patience is explaining the menu. Food is excellent. Must try.

The food serve was fantastic and the entire restaurant atmosphere is fantastic for a date night with my wife! Additionally, he is very prompt in ensuring that our food and drinks are served or refilled. He is also very attentive to details. Thank you once again Jeremy I would definitely recommend this place for the fantastic and excellent food, service and last but not least, the great atmosphere.

Definitely one of the best japanese restaurant in singapore. I always come here whenever i visit singapore. Not only they serve the freshest sashimi and ootoro, but they serve it with heart. We ordered the premium lunch bento, and while the food was fresh, it was fairly average. The portion size is suited for smaller appetites, but the flavors fell a bit short. We were seated near the hotel kitchen, which led to a lot of foot traffic. However, the service staff were fantastic. Very detailed in explaining each dish and attentive throughout the meal.

I came in for a reservation on the 13th of May for dinner. It's located within the main boardwalk of Sentosa (hub for attractions like Universal Studios). I had the mother's day menu which included the uni rolled by kagoshima a4 wagyu beef which was delightful and amazing. The creaminess of the uni combined with the beef, all in a spoon that scoops straight into your mouth in one go. Just amazing. The chicken was cooked just right and the yuzu dressing that accompanied it packed a good yuzu punch with a little spiciness! Everything on the set was well presented and delivered with expert timing, never letting me wait too long, or arriving too quickly to savor my previous dish.

Been to Yamashita san's flagship restaurant in roppongi and this place is probably just as good? I prefer the roppongi location but the food quality is very similar. The ambiance of the restaurant I enjoyed. If you are in Santosa island and want a nice meal experience this is a good choice. Also if you want a break from Singaporean food and try some amazing fusion japanese food it's a nice place. Bit pricy but definitely worth it as a splurge or if you're just a baller

5 stars for the specialty - sea urchin wrapped by wagyu beef topped with caviar and sitting on a yuzu shoyu sauce and served on a golden spoon. For $15, it is a steal. Especially after you realize your tea cost $6! The uni is creamy and fresh and the wagyu is just melts in your mouth tender. Add the slight citrus taste of yuzu and saltiness of shoyu, it is just an explosion of taste which somehow works. The menu is limited for lunch as it is just lunch sets with ala carte sashimi. However the lunch set is very affordable as it starts from $18++ for the vegetable roll. There is also a children set which I am jealous of as it comes with a yuzu sorbet. The adult sets have no dessert. We ordered the bara chirashi set and it was so pretty. Sprinkled with flower petals (I assumed they were edible) and served with a wedge of lime. The lime was an unexpected twist and somehow it detracted from the raw fish. I could hardly discern the different fish in each mouthful as I felt the flower and lime overpowered it. However the chawanmushi was divine. It was soft like the original Rochor warm tau huay (bean curd) and it was also sweet from the seafood. The miso soup was clear and light. A dessert would really have ended the meal perfectly. Service was excellent. They watched the diners and would come round to top up the tea without being asked. There was also a side table for us to place our bags. Nice.

Syun by Celebrity Chef Hal Yamashita would be one of my favourite haunts for a Japanese lunch in Singapore if only it wasn't such a pain to get to. Located within Resorts World Sentosa, I got lost the first time I tried to find the restaurant. I've since learnt a trick which is to brave the hot, humid weather and walk outdoors where you can find the restaurant about a 5-minute walk away from the Casino escalators and opposite TungLok Heen by another Celebrity Chef Susur Lee. My last visit to Syun was a day before my departure to DC. As usual, I couldn't resist ordering Celebrity Chef Hal Yamashita's Signature Sea Urchin rolled by Wagyu Beef. Tender, marbled, melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu Beef rolled around buttery Hokkaido Uni with a tangy Ponzu sauce & topped with Caviar sure makes for one helluva palate-titillating "Amuse Bouche"! I love the salad with Yuzu Ginger dressing too and I guess, these helped to contribute to my food coma midway through the meal. Mum loves Yellowtail so we had to order an a la carte portion of Hamachi Sashimi to go with our Bento lunch at Syun. Priced at SGD14 for 5 slices, these buttery chunks are a fab "Amuse Bouche" while we waited for the rest of the food to be served. If seafood's your thing, definitely try the Seafood House Special Jyu. Tender poached Prawns meets buttery Hokkaido Scallop, juicy butter-poached Salmon, creamy Hokkaido Uni, umami-rich Ikura pearls, earthy Shiitake Mushroom & crunchy Sugar Snap Peas! As if that wasn't decadent enough, a layer of fluffy, buttery scrambled eggs sat between the perfectly steamed grains of rice and treasures of the sea. I also like the Bara Chirashi Sushi Jyu. It's one of the prettiest I've ever had and has a decent variety of chunky sashimi. Served with Green Salad with Yuzu Ginger Dressing, Miso Soup and Chawanmushi, the Bentos at Syun are worth making a trip to Sentosa for.

Syun's best dish is their uni wrapped in raw A5 kobe beef. How AMAZING does this that sound??? The uni-A5 concoction comes in a small soup spoon and all you have to do is to scoop the entire thing in your mouth...open wide!! There are both set and a la carte options. For the first visit, I definitely recommend getting a set for a good variety...the set had so much food! I kind of stopped eating at the last two-three courses so make sure you come hungry! For 4 sets at various price range ($120-170) and a bottle of sake, we paid $200 per pax--not bad! For that second visit, go crazy on the a la carte options! The menu isn't too expensive, roughly SGD $4 for a nigiri. Atmosphere is great and very 'Japanese' posh. There are even private rooms to entertain clients for those important meetings. My pet peeve is that the menu isn't displayed on the website. Sometimes I like to prepare myself for a meal. Oh, and that Syun's located in Sentosa Resort World. Be prepared to get lost coming here.

Sounds amazing but isn't. When I went there, many of their sashimi types were sold out. The uni that came with their signature dish was not fresh. Service was slow too. This place is extremely poor value for money as well. A serving of toro 5 pieces was 70 dollars and their sukiyaki lacked ingredients (there was no cabbage, no glass noodles. Only some mushroom, onions, and strangely tomatoes) Dinner for 2 without alcohol cost us 400. I won't be returning.

Was at syun on MasterCard special dinner superb Japanese cuisine. Service was good wine with food is superb. First time trying Japanese fine dinning good experience definitely but not full
