A very nice place deep in Pest serving classical Hungarian food with a new twist. The location is stylish yet you get the traditional Hungarian feeling. The food was very good and very flavorful. The waiter was friendly and helpful though I had the feeling he tried to sell us more and more. Pricing is above average but worth the money for the quality. Oberall a great experience and Inwill be back for sure!

It’s really worth the 5 stars in google! Szaletly in Budapest is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, gracious, and genuinely perfect in every way. The food was simply excellent, with every dish showing great attention to detail and quality. The highlight of the evening was the Makos Guba, which was absolutely phenomenal and alone would make a visit worthwhile. The wine list deserves special mention—it is well above average, featuring a thoughtful selection that perfectly complements the dishes. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, offering a warm and stylish atmosphere that makes you feel immediately comfortable. Szaletly is easily one of the best dining experiences in Budapest, combining refined cuisine, exceptional service, and an inviting ambiance. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. The staff were the best! They were professional and kind. They even gave us a complimentary dessert because they noticed we just got married. These were also very good desserts too! We would definitely love to come back when we're in Budapest again. 💯

We had lunch at Szaletly, and the experience was delightful. The warm, cozy interior immediately makes you feel at home, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Although our reservation was mistakenly made for two instead of three, they still managed to find us a table despite the full house. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from both Hungarian and international cuisines, with a strong focus on traditional Hungarian flavors. The beef soup was absolutely heavenly. The cottage cheese dumplings (túrógombóc) were an unusual pairing with pumpkin seeds — not quite to my taste, but worth a try for the adventurous. The reimagined poppy seed bread pudding (mákos guba), however, was delicious and a perfect way to end the meal.

Very-very nice restaurant with probably not the best location within Budapest, but that’s why it’s still affordable. The food was excellent, service was very kind and fast, the whole atmosphere in the building (made by the staff and guests) was lovely and warm. I absolutely recommend this place to visit and eat a big (as Michelin does too!)

My trip to Budapest was intended to visit several Michelin-starred restaurants. Szaletly was one of them. The menu is interesting, with plenty to choose from, and the dishes served are of a high standard. They offer interesting taste sensations and are also visually pleasing. The only caveat is the very loud music from the speakers and the live music; it's difficult to have a conversation.

Hungarian cuisine with a modern twist. I had higher expectations as my business partners said it's a Michelin restaurant. No clue how they became one, if it's true. Food is good, service is good, but no WOW effect. We were a bit unlucky with the atmosphere as there was a big group of loud tourists behind our table. Like 20 people. Otherwise, it would have felt cozy.

Szaletly is a beautiful spot in Budapest with a thoughtful menu and warm atmosphere. While many of their dishes are soy-based - which limited my options due to dietary restrictions - the items I was able to enjoy were absolutely delicious. The flavors were refined and memorable, and the presentation was lovely. The staff was kind and accommodating, and overall, it was a wonderful dining experience despite my limitations. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, you’ll be spoiled for choice, but even with them, the quality of what I had made it well worth the visit.
