Warsaw: Dining Under The Sun

"Set high on the sixth floor of its hotel in an orangery-like space with a vast terrace, this dining room serves unique views of Warsaw’s city centre—from neoclassicist gallery domes and stone façades to mirror-clad skyscrapers. On sunny days I lunch or dine in the open air on the shaded terrace; when temperatures drop, panoramic windows keep the skyline in view. Chef Dariusz Barański showcases quality produce with Polish and Mediterranean inspirations, and the short, seasonal menu evolves regularly with dishes like hamachi crudo with apricots and pickled blackcurrant leaves or zucchini blossom and goat’s cheese tempura—plenty of reason to return time and again." - Le Guide MICHELIN

"Take in rooftop views from this appealing glass-walled restaurant and its large terrace, set on the sixth floor of the iconic Prudential building. The concise menu offers pared-back small plates which mix Polish and Mediterranean influences and have a vegetable bias. The daily tasting menu is a popular choice." - Michelin Inspector

Fusion cuisine as you can see on every plate , the combination of flavors surprises very positively, I certainly recommend gourmets looking for new inspiration . Prices for this quality are quite European. Surprising peace and relaxing place despite being in the center of a crowded city . The staff was nice and helpful .

This place is definitely beautiful and the menu is quite interesting but it wasn’t a wow experience. The combination of food, such as the tuna and melon, or the figs and goat cheese were absolutely divine, but the dessert had more to the name than flavors. Cocktails were delicious especially the gin basil. We sat outside and later towards the evening (Friday night) there was a live band playing down on the streets that added to the atmosphere but the restaurant itself was pretty dead.

Due to very small and limited menu, we as a group of people had to order outside the menu. Fine dining - yes, I am all towards to it, but it should have a creative engaging background. There were no such meals in the menu. What’s more: too empty, way too empty, I don’t like visiting such places, it’s not cozy, not welcoming. No menu for children, just so you know. As for the view, it’s not totally a good view, you can see a bit of the PKiN. Regarding the general standards, all is good, clean, in order. The whole idea seems like “trying too much”.

They didn't want to serve us the tasking menu after 8pm. The drinks were good. The bread they served with butter was great, actually the best dish I had. The white asparagus tasted like green asparagus.

I’ve had food poisoning after having a dinner there…. Atmosphere is just great, I’ve loved how they made that space but service… arrogant. I needed to call the waiter to serve us and she wasn’t happy about that. Food is just ridiculous. The gave me anchois in the metal box. Trust me I know what they were trying to achieve with these serving… but at the end it’s just tasteless and it’s like they're mocking high end food.

Overpriced and mediocre - had the tasting menu (~100usd) food was mediocre. Not sure how they got into the Michelin guide. - service wasn’t rude but was bad. We had a vegetarian with us and waiter seemed quite snarky when we asked for a veg option. Made it sound like we were troubling them - non existent vegetarian options. There’s one vegetarian option on the entire a la crate menu. For the tasting menu, they had to take 2 dishes from the restaurant downstairs - overall disappointing, over priced for what we got, bad service and mediocre food. Would not recommend

We’ve been there few times already. Perfect place for any kind of celebration. Short menu, unique quality food and excellent wines served by highly professional, friendly service. The mushroom pate with home made bread and cottage butter is something you mustn’t miss!

Loved the cucumber and fig as well as the tomato and salsify starters. Not so hooked on the tuna and melon or the tempura squash flowers. Tuna had skin on?! Melon not super flavourful. Tempura tasted a bit too much of oil also as flowers had been flattened and therefore had too much tempura dough on. The combination with hazelnut and abricot was nice though.
