"Situated opposite the striking architecture of the Museum of the Second World War, this restaurant boasts elegant contemporary design, where brightly coloured banquettes and velour chairs blend with globe pendant lights and a parquet floor. The dishes – built on French classics like beef tartare and turbot with beurre blanc – are detailed, well-composed and blissfully free of superfluous elements. The friendly service team show palpable pride in their work." - Michelin Inspector

Our best meal in Gdansk by a mile. The food really was beautiful, also thank you to Matty for the great service. Stand outs were definitely the lobster bisque and basque cheesecake to start. The balancing of the flavours was perfect. We ordered from the a la carte, but the tasting menu I’m sure would be amazing. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We spent New Year’s Eve at Sztuczka from 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The 10-course tasting menu was beautifully paced, thoughtful, and divine from start to finish. Each dish felt intentional — balanced, creative, and deeply respectful of ingredients. We tried caviar for the first time, an unforgettable introduction to something so iconic. Our standout favourite, however, was the Polish wasabi tuna dish, perfectly executed, bold yet elegant, and absolutely memorable. The entire evening felt elevated without being pretentious: warm service, refined atmosphere, and food that speaks for itself. Sztuczka is already Michelin-recommended, and in our opinion, it is clearly on its way to earning a Michelin star. This is a restaurant that deserves recognition not just for technical excellence, but for the experience it creates. We will absolutely return and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a world-class dining experience in Poland.

Love this restaurant. The food is really good and inventive. Especially loved the basque cheesecake starter, the celeriac main and the yeast foam dessert. The staff are also excellent. It is a great experience a short distance from the old town.

We booked Restauracja Sztuczka for New Year’s Eve expecting a special Michelin-level experience. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing fine-dining experiences we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was completely off. Despite it being New Year’s Eve, the restaurant felt empty, silent, and lifeless. The music was barely audible, and there was absolutely no festive or welcoming vibe. We chose the New Year’s tasting menu with wine pairing, but the wine service was shocking. Each “pairing” consisted of an absurdly small pour — so little that we honestly thought it was a tasting sample. When I politely asked for more, I received only a single extra drop. Several times, courses arrived without any wine at all. The waiter also dropped and broke a glass and repeatedly gave incorrect information about the wine vintages. The food was equally disappointing. A Beef Wellington-style dish was served with the beef completely overcooked, dry, and grey — totally unacceptable for a Michelin-listed restaurant. (See photos.) Overall, the evening felt poorly managed, rushed, and far below the standards this restaurant claims to represent — especially given the price and the occasion. We chose this restaurant to make New Year’s Eve special. Instead, we left frustrated and genuinely shocked. We would not return and cannot recommend it!!!

We visited Sztuczka on New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful experience. Although the restaurant is Michelin-recognised rather than starred, everything about the evening felt very special. The meal started with excellent Polish caviar, followed by a beautifully prepared New Year’s tasting menu. The dishes were well balanced, creative, and full of flavor. We do not drink alcohol, and we really appreciated the thoughtful non-alcoholic pairings. The selected fizzy tea drinks were fantastic and matched the food perfectly. A great alternative that felt just as special. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, perfect for celebrating New Year’s Eve. The service was attentive and professional, and the staff explained each dish and drink clearly while answering all our questions with care. Overall, it was a memorable evening with great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Per October 2025 you get a 3-course on Sundays for 99 PLN. Best price/value for fine dining in Gdansk. A steal! Top service, excellent wines by the glass.

We tried their cocktails and the 8 course tasting menu. One of the highlights was the 'Basque Cheesecake' with blue cheese, which should be their signature dish - it was amazing. The service was attentive and our waiter was happy to tell us more about the local products in the tasting menu. Absolutely one of the top restaurants we visited in Gdansk.
