Decent boba, the tapioca pearls were good amount of chewy and tough. It can be a hard balance, so I appreciate that! I had the fruit teas, though I’m hoping that they’ll change syrups. It tastes a little more synthetic than other syrup brands. Overall, super happy that a good boba place opened up in my neighborhood. We’ve been in desperate need for one!

After returning from Hong Kong, I was craving egg waffles, and T Square delivered! I tried the custard-filled and chocolate-filled options—both were indulgent and delicious. Definitely coming back for some more.

I've already visited twice during the soft opening, and I'm strongly considering going a third time before they officially open (tomorrow, 6/2/2023, I believe)! I've tried four teas: Trio Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea, and Taro Milk Tea. All with tapioca added, and standard ice and sweetness levels. I've been very impressed every single time! They're already so consistent, and they haven't even officially opened yet. :) I'm a self-proclaimed "boba connoisseur" and I can say with confidence that this is THE best bubble tea I've ever had in Chicago. You can actually taste the tea, the flavours are not too sweet or bitter (they're perfect), and the tapioca texture is JUST right! Plus, the service is very friendly! It's hard to pick a favourite amongst the flavours I've tried, but I think Trio Milk Tea might be my favourite thus far. I'm so thrilled to have this in the neighbourhood! I'll definitely continue to visit and recommend T Square Cafe.

We finished our drinks before i thought to leave a review. So here is a picture of the last two Snowflakes ( mentiones later). Alright so, I had no idea a boba cafe was oppening across from the park, and we were on our way to get ice-cream from somewhere else. so it was a nice surprise to see this Cafe, we decided to go here instead. It is SO cute inside. There are Boba plushies everywhere, and the atmosphere is calm. I had the Cheese Grapefruit tea and it was the best one I've had. Other places make the tea either too sweet or too bitter ( like the grapefruit pith was added) the cheese foam wasn't too salty and mixed well with the grapefruit. My boyfriend had the brown sugar Boba, and again it was really good, honestly these two teas were better than a big chain we've ordered from several times. The Boba was soft but chewy. Not too sweet. The tea itself was also not overly sweet. We also got the original snowflake. I should have asked what was in it. But it tastes like a less sweet version of a breakfast bar, or rice crispy with dried fruit and nuts. It also has a light peanut butter flavor. All in all I'm happy we stumbled across this adorable cafe. And they have calpico!!. Aside from everything tasting great, everyone inside was very nice and welcoming. We will be back for sure!

Awesome little tea shop! You pick your tea and then can add boba and sweetness level!

Google
First time trying this place. They have a pretty basic menu, not anything too unique or special. I tried the strawberry tea and it was very good. I got 75% sweet and it was still very sweet. Bits of strawberry purée and slices of lemon and lime make it taste almost like a fresh version of strawberry lemonade. The inside is cute but not much seating. Overall I would recommend checking out.

Google
Awesome place. The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was so sweet and went above and beyond. Had the strawberry crush and the trio milk tea. Both were very good and not overly sweet but the strawberry crush was best overall. We also had the Portuguese egg waffle (the one with custard). Very interested in trying more food the bubble waffle was the best we've ever had!

Google
Really cute shop and they make their tea well. Usually when I order bubble tea at 50% sugar it’s still pretty sweet but here it’s actually only lightly sweetened and not too sweet at all! I tried the milk tea and fruit teas and so far everything has had good flavor. I prefer to taste the actual tea more than the flavors and toppings in my bubble teas and these have a nice balance. Today for the grand opening they had free mousse and the strawberry flavor was amazing, I hope they make mousse more often. I haven’t tried any of the food yet but I’m excited by the selection of rice bowls and the fried chicken.

Yelp
Really cute and cozy place and staff is so friendly! They have tons of options in the menu! I got the strawberry oolong matcha milk tea. It tasted like watered down matcha with some strawberry jam, really didn't taste any oolong in there. It also looked very different than the picture so I was a bit surprised. I would like to try some more items but didn't feel like my drink was anything exciting.

Yelp
We ate at a nearby restaurant so we decided to come here for bubble tea. My boyfriend got the kiwi fruit tea at 50 percent sugar and I got the strawberry crush at 75% sugar with cheese foam and crystal boba add on. I like my bubble tea drink sweet. I can taste the tartness in my boyfriend kiwi drink. As for my strawberry crush drink it has lime slices which make it a little bit tart too. The cheese foam tastes good, however I didn't care much for the tart flavor from the lime. The drinks came out pretty fast. There were several tablets and seats near the window to sit to drink.

Yelp
I've been here a total of three times now and sad to say I've been disappointed the last two times. The service is always good, nothing to that extent. I only ever order a fruit tea boba and have been wondering why there's always a weird taste. Last time i noticed that there's a slice of lemon and lime in the drink. I don't think this is on the menu, but i would recommend to not put it into the drink if it's not specifically requested. Additionally, my last kiwi boba was super sour. Tasted as if the kiwi was not ripe enough to be used, plus the added lime/lemon.

Yelp
Right across from Welles Park is a small tea shop that sells Taiwanese snacks, boba teas and bubble waffles. Kids loved the egg waffle and strawberry smoothies. I got a 75% sugar oolong milk tea and it tasted like 50% sugar (not too sweet which I like)! Small space with only a few tables and stools so this is mostly a take away cafe. There are also seasonal drinks which I didn't notice at first because they are on a chalkboard and not the payment kiosk. This is a convenient tea shop for a snack and beverage after the park

Yelp
I've been here 3 or 4 times now, and I think we've tried something different almost every time. The menu is quite large though, so I'm nowhere near getting through the whole thing. My thoughts so far: Portuguese Egg Waffle: 5/5 - light, crispy and reasonably sweet. One of them is big enough to share, but you probably won't want to. Taro milk tea: 3/5 - The flavor was good, but this one becomes too much pretty quickly. It's quite thick and rich and made me feel a little uncomfortable by the time we'd gotten about halfway through the cup. We ended up saving half of it and adding soy milk to it when we got home to thin it out and that seemed better. Trio Milk Tea: 4.5/5 - This was really solid. The flavor was great, but to be honest I really couldn't tell the difference between the different milks. I did find it to be smooth and refreshing though. Matcha Mochi Egg Waffle: 4/5 - The flavor of this one was light and it was a little bit dry compared to the Portuguese, but the mochi was a nice texture. We had just finished dinner and weren't too hungry so we saved half of it and popped it in the air fryer the next day and it was actually better than before. Like I said, they have a big menu and there's still a lot of things here I want to try. Thankfully they're in a nice, walkable area with a good amount of parking nearby. They also have a stamp card where after you purchase 10 drinks you'll get one free, so that's a great incentive to keep coming back and trying new ones. You can order through DoorDash, but the prices are just a bit higher, and I'm not positive you'll be able to get your card stamped if you order through the app. I recommend going into the shop and placing the order. It's a small place on the inside, but the people are friendly enough and pretty fast with the drinks. The waffles do take more time to make than you'd expect though, so keep that in mind.

Yelp
My friend and I love egg waffles, so it's nice to have a spot in the neighborhood that has good ones. The chocolate and matcha egg waffles are so delicious. We also enjoyed the popcorn chicken. This is a cute cafe spot with snacks and fun drinks. I would love to try some of their actually boba flavors.

Yelp
Sea salt cream milk tea: fresh and light. Not very sea salt feeling Taro milk tea: great on the first few sip, but soon becomes kinda overwhelming sweet and heavy Portuguese egg waffle: love this, not too sweet and crispy outside. Great to eat this while strolling around the neighborhood Do not forget to get the stamp card for the Buy10 get 1 free deal A bit slow though. Wish they allow order online

Lina W.

Yelp
Boba milk tea is not bad here and the pricing ones on par with all other boba tea shops $8-$9 each after tax and tip for similar size. I prefer a stronger tea flavor and saltier cream cap (maybe I should've gotten the cheese cap). What I do like about this place is the super friendly service and kiosk ordering system. They also have a punch card - when you buy 10, you get one free. The shop is very cute and be sure to take photo with the fluffy bears!

Yelp
Got two drinks and bubble waffle! Omg so delicious! The service was great. The ladies were helpful. The place is small but clean and bright! Definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
It's my first time here. They recently opened up and I remember seeing the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce promote their ribbon cutting. The staff here are friendly and efficient. I tried their roasted oolong milk tea -- their drinks come in one size and this drink didn't include boba. I added tapioca as a topping, and they didn't have pudding. When you ask for no sugar it's literally no sugar which I appreciate. I also like how I can see what they're keying in for me at the counter, and there's also a kiosk for self ordering. The ambiance is really cute and spacious. I can see myself studying there if I was still a student. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for boba, and they even sell street food like popcorn chicken. I'd totally come back to check out other items on their menu, and they also gave me a punch card.

Yelp
Such a great place! I always find seating and the drinks are always great here. I appreciated when I asked for water I was given a boba tea cup full of water. The chairs work for me too as someone with chronic back pain. Also, the plain egg waffle is so tasty. They have a bunch of varieties so maybe one day I'll try those. Also for my lactose intolerant friends they have non-dairy options.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service with a lot of options, which the woman behind the counter made a point of sharing with us. My niece and nephew were happy with their boba drinks, which were very large and definitely worth the price. It's cute inside though I wish they had more tables and chairs. I need to come back and try the food, which looked good too.

Yelp
Super delicious boba tea! So happy this place is in the neighborhood. I recommend 75% sugar.

Yelp
I loved the taro boba & chocolate chip egg waffle I ordered! The shop was also very clean, and it was nice that they had a tablet to order on as well.

Alexe Y.

Yelp
Great new addition to the neighborhood! Love that the boba isn't too sweet, and able to order zero added sugar. On a separate visit we ordered one of the rice bowls and it was a generous portion of perfectly cooked broccoli and bbq pork.

Yelp
Cute new place opened in June. I had the best bubble tea ever here. It was called Trio Milk Tea. It had brown sugar. Nice sized drink. The staff were friendly. The shop has fun decor and is super clean. A nice addition to the neighborhood. They serve smoothies, bubble tea, hot tea, etc as well as snacks, deserts, and lunch items. A great place to pick up a drink or bite to eat when going to Wells Park across the street.

Olivia S.

Yelp
Definitely the best bubble tea I've had in Chicago. I love the cheese foam bubble tea, you can still taste the tea unlike other shops where I only taste the milk. Definitely give them a try.

Yelp
Loved their Mango Frappe and one of best Magenta Grapefruit Tea!! They were very friendly warm greetings as my daughter and I walked in. Their ambience is cozy with cute stuff animals by the window and counter. We live 45 mins away, but when we're back in the area we will definitely stop by again! We wished we lived closer...also have some yummy snacks to choose from.

Yelp
I'm so happy we have a Boba tea shop in Lincoln square! I stopped in a week after they opened and got the passionfruit tea with popping boba and it was so delicious!!
