A Hidden Gem in Gozo – Ta Franc I know I'm a bit late with this review, but I couldn't resist sharing our wonderful experience at Ta Franc, one of the Michelin-rated restaurants for 2025 located in beautiful Gozo, Malta. This place is truly a hidden gem, and it’s no surprise that it has become a favorite of none other than Angelina Jolie! Using the finest local and imported ingredients, Executive Chef Joseph Brincat, inspired by his classic French training, invites you to experience his passion for food. His dishes beautifully blend heritage, seasonality, and flair. Thank you Ta Frenc Restaurant, for elevating our celebration with your exquisite flavors and making it truly memorable! Overall, our experience at Ta Franc was outstanding, combining exceptional cuisine with impeccable service in a charming ambiance. Dear Ta’ Frenc Team, this was truly one of the most wonderful dining experiences we have ever had. First of all, your restaurant is beautifully and harmoniously designed. The service was exceptionally attentive. We only mentioned once that my wife is pregnant, and from that moment on, every course was thoughtfully adapted — from the sauces to the meat and beyond. The food was among the best I have ever tasted in my life — an absolute delight for the palate. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

After attending two beautiful weddings with amazing food at Ta' Frenc, it was time to dine in. The experience was amazing from start to finish, nothing was rushed and all the staff were extremely attentive. The 'Prawn Pasta Flambé' was carefully cooked in front of us, using freshly made pasta. It was one of the best pasta dishes we've had in a while. Our mains were also delicious, the Sirloin was cooked to perfection with a beautiful deep red colour. The Chicken Breast was beautifully made and the chicken wing was absolutely divine. Dining out has become very rushed and Ta' Frenc was a breath of fresh air!

Great food (especially the little complementary starters). The bread selection is also amazing. Service is 10/10. The playlist is a bit « cheap » and redundant, the place is so special it deserves a better playlist that doesn’t feel like a waiting room.

Wonderful diner, left fat as a cat. The steak was delicious and my wife eat most of mine! Order two! Great wine selection and had an extensive kids pairing and menu so our little ones were not left out of the gourmet meal. Lovely waiter. Looking forward to coming back. Decor was so nice locates on beautiful grounds and garden.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time here, we were well looked after and the food was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the flambé crepes, I would particularly recommend that. However, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the bathroom lets it down. It doesn’t seem to fit the restaurant, being that it looks very old or hasn’t been renovated in a while and the stall locks are VERY stiff, I felt like I would be locked in at one point. Overall, we would really would love to come here again, just that their bathroom lets the experience down for me a little bit…

Amazing place! We had the tasting menu and it was simply divine. My wife was pregnant, and they were attentive and catered to her needs by going above and beyond. They had a great selection of drinks. Cocktails were delicious and the wine pairings were on point and complemented the dishes. All the staff were very friendly and generous. Best resteraunt on Gozo hands down. Don't miss it.

Food was good, huge full plate portions so plan accordingly when you are doing tasting menu. Service was awkward and unrefined. Felt like a Michelin star restaurant in training. Lots of potential.
