Ta-Kumi | Restaurante Japonés - Málaga

A purely amazing experience. The food was both complex and simple, being made from great source material. The freshness and pure taste of the fish and seafood brought us back to Japan. This is our first time tasting this quality of food outside of Japan. Highly recommended. For both fine dining enthusiasts and Japanese food lovers.

Came to TA-KUMI while in Malaga, and it was a highlight of the trip. We opted for Omakase — which was a very nice variety of chef specialties. I don’t remember the names of a lot of what we had but everything was unique, fresh and delicious. The hand grated wasabi was so bold with flavor. Let the chef guide the way and prepare to be delighted. We ate at the bar but on a nice night the patio has a great view of the Alcazaba. Highly recommend in Malaga.

Such a welcomed experience in Malaga. To date, this was the best restaurant by far. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also perfect. Just the right amount of help, and foresight. I look forward to eating there again this week before we return home to our country.

Wonderful restaurant with great levels of service and dishes to match Every dish is expertly made and tastes as good as it looks. Not the cheapest place to eat but if your after something special and don't mind paying for quality this is definitely a place to try.

Absolutely the BEST Japanese restaurant in Malaga, probably even in all of Spain. We went to the location in Malaga, but they do have two others in Marbella and Madrid. The food is spectacular and so is the service and atmosphere! Prices are definitely reasonable for the quality and presentation of the food. We did not have the sushi, although I would think that is their specialty. The miso soup was the best I’ve ever had! The shrimp gyozas were fantastic as was their presentation! The yakisoba chicken noodle dish was delicious! The tempura veggies and shrimp were good, but a tad too greasy. Chocolate in different textures for dessert was divine! We will definitely be back repeatedly!! Our waitress Susie was lovely and extremely attentive to our service and to my garlic allergy.

Yesterday my wife and kids decided to take me to Ta-Kumi Japanese restaurant in Malaga. I’m not used to Japanese cuisine and not big on sea food. The first thing that hits you when you arrive is the big smiles a the curtesy of the staff. We were seated and the our waiter remembered my daughter and my son-in-law from weeks earlier, and he even remembered what he recommended to them and what they ordered. When I told him that I prefer vegetarian cuisine, he gave me his recommendation and I approved. The food was delicious, even though in small portions (Japanese style). I found out that they are listed on Michelin Guide, but don’t have their Michelin Star ⭐️ yet. In my option with the taste and quality of food they serve, restaurant atmosphere, and staff attitude they should get at least one star ⭐️. Thumps up to our waiter, and I would like to apologize to him for forgetting his name.
