Ta-Kumi | Restaurante Japonés - Marbella

Takumi in Marbella had been our go to for years. My photos don’t do it justice because we always eat before we remember to take a proper photo. The entire staff and the owner are amazing- so wonderful, helpful and cool. And the toro truffle quail egg special is insanely delicious- literally to die for. I took a photo but it seriously does not do it justice. Let your stomach decide for itself. Our go to list is the above mentioned special, the otoro nigiri with caviar, the butter fish nigiri with truffle cream and they have the BEST wakimi salad. And if you love Nobu’s spicy shrimp salad- Takumi does it even better. Honestly, if you love Japanese sushi done right, you cannot go wrong here. Cannot wait to visit them again when we’re in Marbella! 🤗❤️

What a place! This is one of the best restaurants in Marbella. And not taking into account just Japanese ones. The food is so delicious that you can’t stop ordering. Sushi, sashimi, wagyu. You name it. One better than the other. See the picture and try to imagine everything else was as good looking and tasty. Best quality food, best quality service. We were the group of six perfectly served by Alvaro himself. Being not only the owner but also the chef he is a perfect storyteller giving all the information on what is served and how it is prepared. He made also recommendations that we followed and felt like lottery winners each time another piece of food landed on our table. A sense of humor, passion and love to what he is doing need to be well appreciated. Good wine choice. We topped our meal with fantastic deserts not mentioning mind blowing Vega Sicilia Unico. One of the best culinary experiences ever!

We were recommended this sushi restaurant by multiple people and it absolutely lived up to its expectations. Jorge was a dedicated server who not only made our experience unforgettable but knew exactly what kind of sushi to recommend to us. It is absolutely worth the money, for three of us we spent €190 and we left completely stuffed and happy. There was even a complimentary chocolate we were given that might have been the best hazelnut truffle that I have ever eaten. Thank you to the team at Ya-Kumi for a fantastic evening.

Very tasty food! Each dish is particularly tasty and balanced. Perfect! The quality of food is at the highest level! I especially want to mention the service. Everything is perfect and on time. Dish after dish, perfect timing! I recommend it! This is definitely the most delicious restaurant!

I stumbled upon this gem after it was recommended to me while searching for a great Japanese spot in Marbella and it went beyond all my expectations! We were three people and all agreed: everything was perfect, from the incredibly kind service (they even found us a table without a reservation!) to the flawless quality of the food. We ordered a bit of everything, and every single dish was amazing but the anchovy nigiri was my absolute favorite, just wow! Huge thanks to the wonderful team Christophe, Cristian, Xorche, the sweetest hostess, and the lovely manager. You truly made our night!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance at Ta-Kumi was nothing short of pleasant & a very lovely/relaxing atmosphere. The presentation of all the dishes - Miso Soup With Tofu & Wakame, Chicken Tempura with Kimchi Sauce, Sashimi Hirazukuri - Yellowtail / Fatty Tuna / Butterfish, Hosomaki - Spicy Tuna Rolls, Niku Gyoza (pork & vegetable dumplings), Black Cod with Miso, Tirabeques & Shimeji mushrooms totally took my breath away. It was truly a feast for the eyes as well as our palate with one of my favourite sake Dassai 23. We highly recommend TA-KUMI for an awesome dining experience in Marbella. The best Japanese Restaurant in Marbella. Special shoutout & our many thanks to The Restaurant staff especially Toshio (owner), his wife Emi San, Alvaro, Anabel & Ikram for making our lunch a truly memorable gastronomy experience. Ps- I meant it when I said to you, Toshio / Alvaro that you should open a Ta-Kumi branch / restaurant in London. We will be your regular.

We had an amazing dinner from start to finish, the hostess Ikram was very friendly and welcoming and even accommodated our requests to choose a different table upon arrival from the one reserved. We then had great service from Carolina and Christoper, they even happily answered questions we usually fear to ask like ‘what would you recommend?’ with a big smile. The food was so good! Highly recommend the tuna truffle tartar, the tuna lime nigiri, and the wagyu. Really worth a stop if you are in town.

We arrived without a reservation and we were overwhelmed by the welcoming service. The sushi especially was exceptional, best in Marbella for sure! Also the other dishes like the noodles and gyoza did a good job. The dessert menu was not the best, but other than that was a lovely evening for the family.

I really expected better Division is very clean and well maintained. The staff are absolutely lovely - very friendly and professional and attentive All the food is well prepared but overly fussy. There seems more emphasis placed on theatre and presentation than on building solid flavour profiles. It feels like the menu just needs refinement and a return to focusing on basics done perfectly rather than just prettily A particularly poor choice was serving cold raw fish in a hot plate. The fish became unpleasant I worked try this place again, but maybe not for a while.

This the best spot for Sushi in Marbella without a doubt. Nobu might be more trendy but Takumi really has the highest quality around. The Butter fish with truffle Nigiri was insane, the Toro quality to die for ! Highly recommended!

Lovely outdoor deck surrounded by tall shrubs blocking out the nothing special urban environment.... quite zen. The food was excellent from the OMG dumplings, tasty tempura shrimp & vegetables to the light and fresh sushi. The only dish that was underwhelming was the chicken Yakitori. It was beautifully prepared and cooked nicely, but the sauce was just.... ok. Now let's talk about the service..... it's next level! Probably too good! The service and the kitchen were like a world class symphony. One dish came out perfectly timed just we finished the previous dish. Zero waiting in between dishes. We weren't rushed in the least but a wonderful evening was over too quickly (1 hour for 5-6 dishes and dessert)

We live in NYC and i was extremely skeptical about having japanese (traditional) in Marbella, but I must say I was very much pleasantly surprised. The nigiris are the way to go here (dont order tempurized rolls) as these are extremely fresh and flavorful. A must when in Marbella! Cheers to the team at Ta-Kumi for a great meal and service!

We had a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding and the service fantastic. The server even refused to allow my son to over order by insisting that she would be happy to bring him more if he was still hungry...he never was! The owner stopped by the table for a chat as well. We are in Marbella for a month and we will definitely be back!

Incredible sushi, perfect service. Absolutely 5 stars. Some of the best quality sushi I have had. Highly recommended!

Great sushi, nice owner and nice sake. Popular place in Marbella center. The prices are a bit high but worth it for the quality received.

Excellent Sushi and traditional Japanese food, owner is very active in the restaurant operations- better than Nobu in NYC- !
