Celebrating my 30th birthday at TAAN was nothing short of magical. From the moment my boyfriend and I stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped in warm Thai hospitality and an atmosphere that struck the perfect balance between refined and relaxed.
We chose the 9-course tasting menu, and every dish felt like a love letter to Thailand — both familiar and completely new. The chef’s focus on locally and responsibly sourced ingredients shone through in every bite. Each course told a story about regional flavors, seasonal produce, and the people behind the ingredients.
Highlights included a stunning reinterpretation of classic Thai flavors — bold, balanced, and beautifully presented. The pacing of the meal was flawless, with just enough time to savor each course before being surprised by the next. The wine (and Thai-inspired cocktail) pairings elevated the entire experience without ever overshadowing the food.
What impressed me most was how TAAN manages to feel both deeply authentic and incredibly innovative. It’s fine dining, yes, but it’s also heartfelt — you can taste the respect for local farmers, for Thai culinary traditions, and for sustainability in every dish.
The staff made my birthday feel truly special, even adding a thoughtful personal touch to the dessert course. I left feeling celebrated, inspired, and deeply grateful for such a memorable evening.
