TAAN Bangkok - Thai Fine Dining Restaurant

Amazing food with very nice view. Food was very aromatic with different use of herbs, definitely something we want to try in Thailand. The waitress explained each dish and its origin very well. My only suggestion was that one of the junior waitress (who introduced us the water and drinks trolley) may need some training for working in a ‘fine-dining restaurant’. She seems a bit forceful without reading what their customers really want. The other lady who served us the dishes was very good.

Stunning ambience with a million-dollar view of the Bangkok skyline and excellent service from K. Suriya and team. The appetizers stood out, but the rest of the main course menu was average in flavor. Desserts were decent — the burnt cheesecake with sorbet was a highlight, though not as surprising as hoped. Overall, a pleasant evening with great conversations

Having heard much about this restaurant and seeing it listed in the Michelin Guide for several consecutive years, I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, I found the experience a bit overrated. Ordered the 9 course set. While the presentation and creativity of the dishes were certainly impressive, the flavors didn’t quite come together. The ingredients seemed thoughtfully chosen, but the combinations often felt forced or unbalanced, leaving the taste underwhelming despite the artistic effort. That said, the service was attentive throughout the evening, and the atmosphere and city view was nice. Overall, it’s a place that excels in concept and experience, but for me, the execution on flavor didn’t match the accolades. Worth a try if you’re curious, but perhaps not the culinary revelation it’s made out to be.

This was truly an elevated dining experience. We tried their 9-course tasting menu that was celebrating Thai ingredients and flavors from around the country. It was INCREDIBLE! We’ve never had such unique and complex flavours before. Not only was the dining experience incredible but the views were also amazing. It was nice that we got the same views as a rooftop but the air conditioning of an indoor restaurant.

Great service and unique dishes. It was a good choice to celebrate my birthday here. The 9 course menu was wonderful. I’d love to come back when I visit BKK again.

Great good, great experience, exceptional service! For every food and ingredient our waitress explained all the details and local information. The taste was perfect, and the cocktails in front of the skyline were wonderful.

This must be one of the best tasting menus in Bangkok! We were absolutely blown away by how incredible each and every dish was. This is Thai food on the highest level possible, and sensationally delicious. The wine pairing is exceptional. There is another review of someone saying they didn't really enjoy it - no idea what is wrong with them, but we found it to be excellent! The service is so attention but not intrusive. Wonderful attention to detail. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but this is a high-end, exceptional conceptual dining. Highly recommended, it was an absolute highlight of our time in Bangkok! Brilliant! Thank you! (ONLY critic is that their Google Review responses are generic and the same response over & over, which is disappointing when you want to really acknowledge the exceptional efforts made by the team and chefs to ensure you have an amazing experience. Hopefully these reviews go beyond Google and gets shared to the team on the floor who run this wonderful restaurant)

I called spontaneously but luckily they still had a free table for one person for the night. The view over Bangkok is amazing and the restaurant has an elegant, calm, chill atmosphere. I chose the 9-course menu. The first 3 courses where balanced and mild in taste, even a little underwhelming. But from the 4 course on till the end it was an explosion of taste, richness, flavours, textures and spices. I was asked if I like it spicy, i said european spicyness, which was perfect. It was hot, but not overwhelming the other flavours. I had two non-alcoholic cocktails, which were also supertasty. Sasi and the other waiters did an amazing job in serving, explaining the dishes and being helpful all the way. Great experience!! I can recommend it to anyone who want to experience an authentic thai-fine dining experience.
