We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to stop in and grab dinner and what a delightful experience it was! I love Indian food and my partner had never eaten it before, so I was a little nervous whether he would like it. We were greeted and taken care of throughout the entire meal by multiple friendly staff. We ordered the Vegetable Samosa, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Vindaloo, freshly baked Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan. It was absolutely wonderful! The portions were gracious, and we had plenty left over for another meal. The entire meal was around $55.00. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to family and friends! Oh, and I got a Mango Lassi to go...it was great!

Google
Excellent food on the lunch buffet! The service is so attentive and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely a great spot.

Google
Good Indian restaurant with an expensive looking atmosphere. The service can be hit or miss. Honestly, the worst we've gotten is having to ask for drink refills, which is not that bad. The food is great and their buffet is delicious!

Danda N.

Google
Tried their weekend buffet which was pretty decent. Lady at counter was interactive with every guest possible in asking their experience and areas for improvements. Potato bajji, spinach pakoda, tandoori chicken, pepper chicken, shrimp curry, boneless chicken biryani, couple of chicken curries which were good for $15 price. Taste could have been a bit better overall but overall good experience.

Google
Rarely you come across a restaurant where people really go way beyond the expectations. This restaurant is one such. Food was great, spices were spot on especially for eggplant dish. They customized dishes and prepared things outside the menu. Excellent service and great food at an amazing price. And yeah, I’m an Indian and have eaten at Indian restaurants in many international locations. This is a great restaurant. Keep it up!

Meiko K.

Google
The food was delicious. I had a vegetarian option. I can't remember the name of the dish, but I know it was made with eggplant. We with a mild spice level because I have learned from previous experience that mild at authentic Indian restaurant is typically a little to spicy for my palette. The service was poor because they seemed to cater more to the online and/or called in orders. We sat for over ten minutes before our order was taken, and when the food was brought out, that was the end of service initiated by them. We stayed because the atmosphere was conducive for meaningful conversation and had a great aroma.

I stopped by today for dinner with my wife, and the service and food were both excellent as always. However, while I was waiting, I witnessed something that really bothered me. A couple of ladies were arguing with one of the servers, pointing fingers at her and speaking to her in a very disrespectful way, even making comments about her class and background. It was sad and disappointing to see customers treat an employee like that, as if being a customer gives them the right to say anything and expect the staff to stay silent. I really want to commend the server for standing up for herself with confidence and dignity. No one deserves to be disrespected at their job. The staff here works hard and treats customers with kindness, and they deserve that same respect back. Great food, great service, and huge respect to the employee for not letting anyone walk over her. I’ll definitely keep supporting this place.

Google
Just went for the weekend (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) lunch buffet and was blown away by both price ($20) and quality of the food! Was some of the best curry I’ve ever had, and they walked around handing out fresh hot now buttery naan, not to mention the desserts like the rice pudding and mango moose! 5 stars without a doubt!

Yelp
Incredible! If I had to sum it up into one work that would be it. The food is wonderfully prepared and tastes great. Very authentic Indian food. The service is amazing and people are friendly. Very happy and will dine here in the future Also, the buffet is worth every cent. Great variety and quantities. Highly recommend the buffet for lunch!

Yelp
Amazing Indian food! This was my second time for dinner but I've also enjoyed the lunch buffet. I can recommend nearly everything in the menu without hesitation - but start with the garlic naan! Prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is clean and comfortable with great service. Although it's tucked way in a shopping center, the ambiance is even suited for a date night.

Yelp
My partner and I are always looking for a good Indian place. We tried this out on a Saturday night. Not many folks in the 20 top space, but a few families coming through, and 5-6 DoorDash orders going out while we ate. I like my food a little spicer than my partner, so I ordered my paneer as a 2 out of 5, and they ordered their korma as a 1, but it came to the table a solid 3-4. I wonder if it got flipped in the kitchen, since mine wasn't very spicy. But, when we asked for a new bowl of korma, they brought one to us within 5 minutes. Much better, if a good bit sweeter than I expected, having tried the first time, I wonder if they added more sugar to make sure it was not too spicy second time around. The naan was tasty, and I was very satisfied with my paneer. We'll definitely try them again. I'm looking forward to the dosa.

Yelp
Solid lunch buffet and consistently good takeout. The restaurant was about half-filled on a weekday, and most people seemed to be regulars. The space was clean, open, and inviting. I've been to Taaza many times, but most recently stopped in for the lunch buffet and was happy with the selection. I eat veg-only, and enjoyed a dal-based dish and a paneer-based butter curry dish. They brought plain naan and a plain dosa to the table, included in the price of the buffet. They also had raita and a wide selection of chutneys in the buffet, which was great with the apps. There were (mainly lemon) pickles in the buffet which you don't always get. Yum! Unfortunately, their pekoras where chili poppers that day, which weren't my jam. However, I was still able to find plently I liked. I think the addition of a spinach-based veg curry would have rounded out the offerings nicely. However, what they had was sufficient. The curries were a bit watery by my standards, which was a bit disappointing. The flavors were on point though! Also, they had both gulab jamun (soaked sweet balls) and gajar ka halwa (carrot dessert) in the buffet. Both of these desserts could be the main event at a buffet, so I was excited to see them both! Service wasn't super relevant, since it was a buffet setting. However, I always had a glass of water and dirty plates were cleared quickly. So, overall, I was satisfied. I did end up being a little confused on if I had to wait for a bill or pay at the front, but quickly asking cleared that up (pay at the front for the buffet). Overall, this was a good experience. I'll pop in again soon!

Yelp
The food here is delish!!!! We love their manchurian gobi, cheese cone doza for kids, their noodles, butter chicken and almost anything we get in the menu excepttt the Fish :(
google avatar

Dennis S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, cozy vibes, good drink selection with local craft beers, and overall great quality of food Still no weekday buffet, only on weekends for $20. Saag and salmon were slightly overcooked. The cauliflower and the oothappam were stellar though! Overall a good spot for Indian in the triad. Great area as it's near everything Service is also pretty attentive!

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today for their lunch buffet, and I'll say it was decent. The buffet was small but pretty clean. I would've liked some more choices. It was missing items I'd look for such as samosas, and while there was a staff member who came around with naan, it was just plain naan and nothing special. The chicken tikka masala had great flavor in the sauce, but the chicken was a bit dry, probably from sitting on the buffet warmer. I expected to pay $60 for my family of four, but it ended up being $73 because they charged my 12 year old adult price. Maybe I would've given 4 stars for the $60 I expected to pay, but I don't feel like I got $73 worth of an experience. They were good, but there's better Indian food to be had in the triad. Staff was friendly enough, but I've also encountered better elsewhere.

Yelp
We loved their lunch buffet! A good number of choices, Naan delivered straight to your table. The food DID err on the side of a bit too spicy for some palates but if you want to try a bunch of dishes, this is a good way to go. The one main complaint is that they bait and switched us with the kids prices. I called in advance and they said $10 a kid over the phone, for up to age 12. When it was time to pay they took a look at my 12 year old daughter and said they had to charge her the adult price (because she looked too big to them? Did I need to bring her birth certificate?) I chose not to argue and just paid it but that was a huge turn off. This was irritating to say the least and a shame, because they made it so we won't go back there again. Despite being almost adult sized, she was there as a good sport and we were already spending $10 (we thought) for her to pick at some naan bread and fruit, which became $20 because she was judged on her appearance. Lame and insulting!

Yelp
Food is always great and the service along with the ambience is amazing as well. Have been several times enjoy it every single time.

Yelp
Very crowded today. So were asked to give our name and number to be called on the waiting list. We were never called unfortunately. I know these things happen, but it is annoying sitting around waiting for a call and never get it. The food here is awesome if you can get a seat lol.

Yelp
One of my favorite indian restaurants in Greensboro, I also love their Burlington location as well! This time around I got some stuff I haven't tried before such as the salmon Tikka masala and a shrimp dish! Both were very delicious, my friend is more experienced in sea food compared to me and they said it was cooked a bit too much but I liked it! The shrimp was cooked amazing and seasoned very well. I got my friend to try garlic naan for the first time and they loved it! Service is always quick, water is always filled, great spot for a date night! Love their drinks selection too!

Yelp
Love this place! Yummy food and great service! Crispy okra is the best I've found anywhere.

Yelp
For years, Taaza has been a great place to eat quality Indian food. That was until lately. For the past few months, the steady decline in food quality was a surprise, so I decided to discount it as an bad occurrence. However, the past 4 times now, the food quality has not improved, and the taste of their dishes are quite alarming. It's a shame to see a restaurant of this stature decline so quickly and not improve.

Yelp
Based on all the reviews, I think I came on an off night. Where we sat was not anywhere close to the door, but there was a big draft from the cold which made us stay in our jackets the entire night. It took a while before anyone came to our table. We knew what we wanted so we promptly placed our order. My friend got vegan Saag, I got the Saag and my other friend got the Mughlai Khorma. When our food came out, we learned that the waiter did not put in the order for Mughlai Khorma. So, we only got our Saag's and had to wait for the Khorma to come out. When I tried my Saag, it tasted the same as my friend's vegan Saag (no cream or dairy). We think they made the Saags together and put a splash of cream in mine. Obviously, I'm not sure if that actually happened but the Saag was unfortunately one of my least favorite's of every Indian spot I've been to. The Mughlai Korma, when it did come out, was amazing. Super spot on. Incredible depth of flavor. I regretted not getting this. Outside of the food, we had to ask for things multiple times because it would slip through the cracks. For example, we had to ask for more rice several times to different people because it was forgotten about. And while the staff did apologize, I just felt like the night was one thing after another. Would be open to trying this place another time, but unfortunately, I don't live in North Carolina, so I may not get a chance to.

Yelp
Excellent food! Nice decor. Very nice people. Great service. confortable place to enjoy a meal with your dpouse.
google avatar

Tricia B.

Yelp
The ambiance is very basic, but the hostess was super welcoming. I went on a Sunday to enjoy the buffet brunch for the first time. This is the only Indian restaurant that I've found that offers a buffet. I was pleased with the variety of choices, and then got mad at myself because I have such a small appetite! During the buffet brunch, servers bring pieces of naan out for you to enjoy whenever you like. The food was delicious and I rarely saw an empty table -- the restaurant appears to be popular. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Rosalva C.

Yelp
I have been looking for "my" go to Indian food spot and I have found it! This place has great service, the people at the front door tended to me as soon as I entered. I ordered the Chicken tikka masala, cheese naan, and a mango lassi. It was ALL delicious! The spice level was exactly as I requested and the portions were generous! The place had a relaxed vibe and everyone I observed seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their food. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday night so I was sincerely a little worried but the food did not disappoint whatsoever! The restaurant is in a descent location and easy to find. I highly recommend you try them out. I'm eager to go back and check out their other items on the menu!
google avatar

Autumn M.

Yelp
I use to really love this place, like it was a weekly spot for me. But recently I'm not sure if the cook changed. But the food quality and flavor has definitely changed. I honestly won't ever go back here. The service isn't that great.
google avatar

Orhan N. K.

Yelp
I am not Indian, but this place will bring you traditional food of Indian kitchen, staff is so friendly, they do their best to make you understand what is the foods in menu all about. The place is so clean, good looking .

Ken B.

Yelp
The food quality used to be very good, but over the course of the past few months, it has declined considerably! My family and I used to love to go to Taaza. Now, we will have to find a new place to eat as the last 3 times the food has really gotten quite bad. It was a good ride while it lasted.
google avatar

Chan C.

Yelp
Delicious South Indian food. I highly recommend the dosas, which I had for the first time here. The other Indian fare is outstanding but the dosa really shone through and was different than what you can get at many places. Outstanding service. Very friendly and accommodating.
google avatar

Talita M.

Yelp
Taaza's menu consisted of wildly flavorful options. The complex and savory dishes will excite your palate. Some of their typical dishes included rice, vegetables, and chutney. The food was delicious and authentic. There is an area to right of the bar (when walking in) that could accompany 10 to 12 people if you had a large party. The restrooms were exceptional clean. The hostess/waitress was exceptionally kind and attentive. I love love the Naan.
google avatar

Isaac M.

Yelp
Tikka masala sauce great, but chicken very overcooked and dry. They also forgot salt. Garlic Naan was great.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
This has become my #1 go-to Indian restaurant. It serves a great variety of Indian food, including many southern Indian foods - vegetarian. Atmosphere is not memorable but food and service are outstanding. The owner is usually present; he is involved with the customers; it feels as though he is personally caring for the food he serves. Very nicely done
google avatar

Yelp
We eat here a few times a year. We always loved there food since we did our first Yelp event here years ago. The food is always on point and the service is normally great. Last night they're where actually slow when we got there but quickly got busy. The owner was our waiter and he took great care of us. Our friend order her meal on the hot spicy side and it wasn't hot enough for her so they took it back and spiced it up for her much to her liking. I'm not into the hot and spicy stuff myself. I order mine with low spice and mine was perfect. I ordered the chicken 65 appetizers and they where amazing as always. I ordered the chicken masala and it was perfect. This has been by far my favorite Indian restaurant in town. I highly recommend you give it a try. You will not regret it.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
The masala dosa was excellent and service was spectacular. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Jeff S.

Yelp
The food is great we eat here every few weeks it is our favorite Indian restaurant in Greensboro

Yelp
My friend and I went to Taaza Bistro and had a great time! They have very good and authentic food, the Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious. I also really enjoyed the Samosas, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi. They service was great as well and the ambiance was very welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great spot for Indian food in Greensboro.

Yelp
How could this gem be so close to home and I've totally ignored it? We tried this restaurant one Friday evening after noticing rave reviews on yelp. It did not disappoint. I can't wait to return in the fall and winter for some comfy spicy creamy Indian food. The naan was so good we ordered plain and garlic. Large portions of aromatic basmati rice served with some of the dishes. The staff was extremely friendly even on a bustling Friday night. Many orders made to-go as well as sit-down patrons. Plenty of vegetarian and meat options.
google avatar

Judy Z.

Yelp
Me and my girl friend decided to grab dinner here since I was in town. We came in on a Friday around 6pm, and it was not super packed. It slowly became busy as time passed by. The employees here are very welcoming, food did seem to come out a little slow though. I saw there were a lot of take out orders, so maybe that was why. I wasn't in a rush so that didn't bother me. My friend ordered Tandoori Kazhana and I ordered a chicken Tikki Masala. Both were very flavorful, the tikki masala was a bit on the sweeter side. Then again I've never really had Indian Food so I can't compare.
google avatar

Benria B.

Yelp
Nice indian food Friendly people sometimes slow, but in general, it is good I like lamb karahi
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Amazing food. Friendly and clean restaurant. I cannot say enough. Typically a restaurant in a strip center disappoints but this place is amazing. I went basic with Tikka Masala and the flavors were spot on. Love the heat! I came in just for an order of Samosas and left full and happy! You have to try this place!
google avatar

Natasha Q.

Yelp
I have had a craving for good Indian food soon as the weather changes from rainy to cold. Taaza Bistro has been on my radar for awhile so why not and they didn't disappoint. I order the okra appetizers it has a nice crunch and taste. The mint sauce is delicious very herbaceous the other sauce has a nice sweet note. Next up is the naan garlic bread with Palak Paneer and jasmine rice. The Palak was out of this world yummy over top the jasmine rice. The spinach is so creamy and the cheese is a perfect combination. Add a piece of naan garlic bread and wow what a perfect meal. All I can say at this point of my meal is Namaste.
google avatar

Holly R.

Yelp
Delish, fast service! The food was so flavorful and came out perfect temp. Will be back for sure!

Yelp
I try to eat at Taaza whenever I am by myself in Greensboro (and get to choose where to go!) I have also eaten there with my daughter, and she was pleased. I always get the Labadhar Paneer, which is a cheesy/tomatoey dish, and I like to get it mild. Sometimes I also get the Samosa Chaat and just eat half of it so I have half of each to take home for the next day. I have to tell them to make mine mild. They sometimes don't ask, so I have to concentrate on remembering. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the service is always friendly, fast, and effective. I have literally NEVER been disappointed. They get a lot of take-out business, and their food for take-out is packaged well and delicious when reheated. My husband doesn't like Indian food (!?!?!) so I look for opportunities to go there without him. chuckle.
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
Visiting from out of state and the wife and I were craving some Indian cuisine! My go to dish is Fish Vindaloo, so no surprise when that's what I ordered at Taaza. Let me just say... 10/10 vindaloo!! I eat pretty spicy so I got the VERY HOT which is one level down from Indian hot (on vacay and didnt want to risk stomach issues with Indian hot ) . They Very hot was indeed hot, for you spice lovers out there. It cam with basmati rice which was also amazing. Sad I won't be back as I am just visiting Greensboro but if I came back to Greensboro, i'd be sure to stop in at Taaza. Staff was very friendly, place is clean and service/food were wonderful/delicious!
google avatar

AnneShey N.

Yelp
As always, the food are so delicious, everything that we ordered are cooked/prepared perfectly. The Naan bread and the Tikka Masala sauce are just perfect match! The meat (goat and lamp) are so tendered and tasteful. And if you like spicy food, they really knows how to satisfy you kind of spiciness! The service were okay, we didn't had to wait to be seated, we got sat and they took our drink orders. When we were ready to order, weren't sure who was our server, the young lady or the gentleman who sat us and ended up taking our orders. Same thing with the drinks refilled, we wasn't sure who to asked for refills because you once they got a little busy, you really have to get attention one of the servers for refills or if you need something else! And lastly, I didn't like of the girl (wait staff) just grabbed our plate without asking if we're finish or not!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Taaza is an Indian joint that brings the heat to your seat with their menu full of spicy dishes, packed with large Indian flavor. The energy in the restaurant was open and inviting, along with the music playing softly in the background, it created the perfect vibe for us to enjoy our meal. We could eat Indian cuisine everyday because of places just like this! We urge you to swing by to see what we're talking about. 555 Chicken- Chicken strips coated in flour with light spices, sauteed with creamy tomato based sauce Vindaloo- Choice of meat cooked with potatoes and tomato based tangy fiery sauce Butter Naan

Yelp
Sometimes a good meal can make or break a day. I'm in Greensboro for work and I've been having a very rough day due to pain from a recent eye surgery. It's never fun being away from home when you're not feeling well. I ordered takeout from Taaza mainly because it was a 2 min drive from my hotel and I didn't want to drive far with only one good eye. I ordered the paneer masala and the Hakka noodles with veggies. This is comfort food to the max--great flavor, perfect spice amount (I ordered hot), and just tasty all around. Not to mention the employee I talked to was incredibly kind. When he noticed there was something wrong with my eye, he asked me if I was alright and showed genuine concern. This meal was a wonderful ending to an otherwise terrible day, and for that I am extra grateful. If Greensboro was my home, I'd make Tazaa my #1 Indian restaurant.
google avatar

Charles D.

Yelp
We started with the mixed vegetable platter, which consisted of a samosa, paneer pakoras, and spinach bites. The samosa was good, the paneer pakoras were cheese so Bonnie ate those, and the spinach bites were AMAZING. So amazing they need a much less humble name. You know that large bag of spinach you get in the fresh produce section? Take that whole bag, add spicy breading, and deep fry it. Freaking sensational! Then we ordered the Madras Curry and it wasn't doing it for me, so we ordered the Hakka Noodles with chicken, billed on the menu as an Indo-Chinese dish. Folks, I loves me some lo mein, so whenever we go to a Chinese place it's one of the dishes that I judge a restaurant by. This was to lo mein as hyperbole is to flat statements. Just delicious! The whole dish was spicy and so full of deep flavor that "flavorful" does not suffice. The chicken had a crispy quality that made me wonder if it was shredded, fried Tandoori Chicken. I asked the server and he explained that it wasn't but his accent was a bit too thick for me to fully follow. Oh, how I now wish someone would open up a Taaza Bistro in Chattanooga... Or an Indo-Chinese restaurant. I'll take what I can get!!!

Yelp
So many Indian restaurants closing or selling, sad times. One of the best cuisines in the world, we need a variety. Miss the buffet here. They are pretty pricey for small portions. The salmon saag was overcooked, the spinach AND salmon. The tikka masala was good but you get like 8 cubes of chicken... garlic naan was good and their rice, well basmati rice is always top notch! Their cauliflower (gobi) was excellent, along with their samosa. Staff is great, friendly and always smiling. No problems there. If you want to eat and be full, it'll be hard under a budget. *side note* Order the crepe, I've had it on the buffet before and it's amazing but I saw the dish going to another table and it looks amazing. I'll be back to try that.

Richard S.

Yelp
Our favorite Indian restaurant. Most of the food is spiced beyond your typical "Americanized" offering. A pleasant surprise.
google avatar

Darian Y.

Yelp
First time experience with Indian food and gotta say Absolutely delicious and the bread that came with it was one of a kind. The employees were all very friendly and Definitely will return.

Thomas S.

Yelp
Wonderfully warm staff, delicious food, what more can you say? Here's what's more: Don't leave without having the "Chicken 65", crispy little pieces of chicken heaven. Also enjoyed their Tikka Masala which was very good as well as the "Spicy Kulcha" (bullet naan) which I've never seen before. THAT was to die for. Paired with a cold Indian Lager it was a great and filling meal. Will visit again!
google avatar

Joyti K.

Yelp
Was so impressed!! The lollipop wings were spicy and very tasty! The lamb chops were absolutely delicious! So much flavor and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the shrimp dish. Another delicious flavor with large shrimp. The butter naan was a hit too!! Great atmosphere! Will be back next time I'm in Greensboro
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Taaza has the best Indian food in the south!! My favorite dish is the chicken tiki masala! It comes in a creamy sauce, you can tell them if you want it in mild, spicy or no sauce. Their buttered nan is next level! The staff here is so friendly and very attentive, my sister and I go here all the time and they know us know. The pricing is very fair and you do get a lot of food. I cannot recommend Taaza more highly.

Sam F.

Yelp
Excellent excellent excellent. The food taste and quality and the service were all, well, excellent. I highly recommend this bistro for top notch ethnic food.
google avatar

Brandi P.

Yelp
Location - Taaza is in a strip mall. Parking is free and available right in front of the restaurant. Atmosphere - nice ambiance. Not fine dining, but family style. Plenty of seating. Not too noisy. Full bar and a decent menu. The it's very fragrant as soon as you walk in the door! Yum!! Service - The women here are friendly. I've been to a more fine dining establishment, and there were no women working there. Here I see 2 women working. Nice! Menu - see photos Food - Madurai Malli Chicken (7 level spicy ), butter naan, basmati rice, shrimp Hakka noodles, and lamb vindaloo.

Yelp
I'm so sad it's taken me this long to finally try this place! I opted for the Biryani with Chicken. I chose medium spicy and it did not disappoint. The portion was nice, with lots of chicken. The chicken was tender and packed with the flavor. The rice itself had a nice kick with spices you can taste. My only concern is how much money I will be spending on takeout from now on because of how delicious my meal was.
