This place is super central and easy to find. The decor is very upmarket, chic and understated. They make tapas with a Slovenian twist, and work with a variety of local and seasonal produce to create some unique delicious morsels. They have a diverse wine list that comes from all over Europe, but TaBar also have some delectable local wines (look out for any made by: Bjana, Burja, Edi Simčič or Čotar), great gin list too. This spot is too cool for its own good.

The waiters seemed to be very well informed about every little detail of the food and had great recommendations about the wine list (which is huge!). Also don’t skip the desert ☺️

The food was absolutely amazing! We came just to try and then we ended eating almost all the menu. Every dish was delicious and focaccia by Kristjan is also the main star! The staff is so nice and helpful! 100% coming back.

Hugely impressive Michelin restaurant with friendly, knowledge staff and a fantastic wine selection. We were lucky enough to go with a local guide (Boris) and he made the experience second to none. Would definitely recommended the mushrooms, the asparagus with strawberry (delicious!!!) and the roast beef. A more expensive, upmarket option to others on the river but well worth it if you enjoy the finer side of dining.

After opening the new location we’ve spent quite a few summer ☀️ lunches and nights in their company, enjoying drinks and sharing plates. Terrace is one of the cutest in Ljubljana, especially for summer evenings. Now, they’ve opened the upper level where chef Jakob and his team focus on tasting menus that showcase their full range of skills, creativity, and excellent flavors and we loved the menu! The entire experience is a tribute to Jakob’s deep respect for nature 💚 which is connected with his passion for hunting, foraging, fishing, and, of course, flavor! Would definitely recommend stopping for few plates or longer tasting menu experience.
