The 24 Best Restaurants In Valencia - Valencia - The Infatuation

"Just off the tourist-packed streets of the old town and Plaza de la Virgen is a snacking hole that’ll turn any day around. The vermut is always cold, the gildas—anchovy skewers in vinegar or salt cure, plus a cecina version crowned with a quail egg—are all stars. And there are cold beers to wash down plates of puntilla—fried baby squid topped with flaky salt and a side of aioli—and patatas bravas in the form of halved baby potatoes with dollops of aioli and a mildly spiced tomato sauce. If there’s still room, the gambones al ajillo, soprasada y huevo is a hot little cauldron of shrimp, spreadable cured pork, and a runny egg that begs for fresh bread. And for dessert, the torrija de horchata—like French toast topped with horchata ice cream—seals the deal." - david neimanis

Cool, cozy tapas place with delicious food. There is a indoor and outdoor seating, and a couple bar stools. There are little fires on some of the outdoor tables. All the food is tried was delicious. Service was good and attentive. Would love to go back and try some more dishes.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The waiter was nice and the tapas are a little different from the ones you’ll usually find. We really enjoyed the fried squid and roasted veggies on toast. Cute and small place, good atmosphere. Only thing we missed was some background music. Overall very happy!

My favourite place for tapas in Valencia! Excellent food, very warm and welcoming service, and a really nice ambiance. Do try their patatas bravas - I think they are one of the very best I have ever tried! Thank you and I look forward to visiting again!

The food here was fantastic, heads above most of the tapas bars in the center that are more geared on churning tourist traffic. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations with unique twists and fresh ingredients. For two people we ordered bravas, espencat (tasty with a crispy layer), puntilla (perfectly fried mini squid), ensaladilla marinera (usually don’t like but this was good), figatell foie (very interesting), tarta abuela (yum) and a bottle of local Bobal. It was a lot of food and we definitely left stuffed and happy for around 60€. The herbal liquor at the end was also lovely. It took us a couple tries to snag a table without a reservation early in the night so definitely try to reserve as it filled up fast.

Ended up here quite by accident, but we had a wonderful experience. The food was truly delicious and the place inside is very charming and original. Highly recommended.

It’s hands down one of the best tapas bars in Valencia. I went to this place based on a recommendation from a local friend and it did not disappoint. The have a huge variety of local tapas and the staff is incredibly nice.🇪🇸 I had the “Chipirones” and tried a traditional tapas “Gamba amb Bleda” which is actually a dish like a soup with very small prawns🍤. You should definitely come here for Valencian tapas. Note: Since it’s very small, you might wait in line for a place to seat or you can just make a reservation beforehand

We have got this recommendation from our very nice landlady and we were fully satisfied: The restaurant owner took his time to introduce us into the offered typical Valencian tapas and dishes and of course into his selection of regional white and red wines. The quality of the dishes is remarquable high and the crew is really engaged - we will come back as soon as possible :-)
